***Update 9/11/25*** So after approximately 3 months or so there's beem a vast improvement! The "Chemical Smell" is completely GONE, The performance had improved over all, and the actual DNA has become much more GORGEOUS! Echorich below me had mentioned "Crushed Petals" and that comparison is SPOT ON imo. Fresh, crushed flower petals (Not sure which type of flower, but I get the feeling its a combination os the Rose and Freesia) There's a slight Metallic nuance which just adds to the freshness making Electrum more invigorating. Unisex leaning feminine and very Unique! Smells Expensive and quite "Niche". This is (NOW) a Stunningly, beautiful fragrance! ‐---------------------------------------------------- ***Original Review*** 5/8/25 Hmm, interesting scent. Just got Electrum today and when I'd first sprayed it, it smelled very wierd and "Chemical " along with a very light indolic floral scent. I was frustrated bc it was super sheer and I could barely smell anything at all except for the light, off putting chemical smell and light indols. Well, after about 20 mins the fragrance started coming to life on me, and now Im getting a super clean, natural, slightly indolic/fresh/clean floral with something interesting in the back ground (Maybe the Vetiver?) yet its NOT "Too feminine" for a guy to pull of comfortably.. Id call this Unisex leaning Feminine. The chemecal smell.dissapeared on me, and the florals NOW smell super natural! WIERD! its still really, REALLY light tho and seems to fade within an hour or so, but in my experience (and especially with Laliques) these types of fragrances need to have air introduced into the bottle so that the fragrance Oxidizes and then it opens up, but with Laliques, it does take a few weeks ( in a couple instancesa couple MONTHS). Im REALLY hoping that Electrum gets stronger bc although Im impressed with this super unique, clean, floral scent, the potency leaves a whole lot to be desired. Ive also noticed that when I spray on my skin, theres NOT much oil residue left behind and so this seems to wear more like a "Cologne." Anyways, I'll be back with an update after my bottle "Maturates" a bit. I just know that if I would have paid the more than two hundred dollar retail price, I would have been LIVID bc of the poor performance.. maaan, I just hope this gets more "substantial" with maturation because this really is gone in no time unfortunately...FINGERS CROSSED!

In my *insert dandy lisp* fragrance journey, I have noticed how much targeting unisex is more about marketing than it is about a prudent application of those the fragrance is best suited or an indication of the formula's intent. It's EASY to call something unisex, when it seems like that's what so many morbidly timid, distinction-averse customers want, while also casting as broad a consumer net as possible. And why not, when perfume is inherently unisex? But it is still marketing and most unisex fragrances do still have a genfered inflection. I've also noticed that the advertised family or genre a perfume can be said to belong to can have every bit as much to do with marketing as gender targeting. Especially when it comes to Chypres, fragrances known for their bitterness, astringency, and supposed dated feel. I think this is both entirely masculine and also something I've come to call a crypto-chypre. There are so many supposed orientals and nebulously described citrus, woody, or leather fragrances that seem to be tiptoeing around their nature. This has no tonka, no vanilla, and the amber isn't so central. I'm not certain how this could qualify as an oriental. This is gorgeous. It's unisex in as much almost any good chypre is. A well-formulated chypre conforms to the wearer like a Roman tunic. I do, however find this quality being more friendly to aisle-crossing in women's chypres on men than the reverse. That's why I qualify this as masculine, despite the previous statements about the genre. Men's tend to be gruffer and this, despite it's florality, is a little gruff. It's fantastic. There's a fantastic mix of dirtiness and cleaness here that reminds me of Kouros without smelling like Kouros. It's absolutely fantastic. I'm really interested in getting into the rest of this line from Lalique and I'm becoming more of a devoted to the brand with each bottle I encounter from their house. Being Lalique, of course the bottle design is incredibly handsome, but the box presentation is quite nice too. Meant for posterity.

Electrum is a very bright, sharp soapy musk perfume. Great for warm weather as this sharpness provides some cooling aspects. Very elegant and long lasting. Unlike anything in my collection. Easily unisex. Treasuring my full bottle. This will be a pleasure to wear in the summer months but can be worn all year long. Will work well for elegant occasion wear.

Oh my, no reviews!? How can this be! I'll throw a first impression out there, though I'd love some more time to get to know this fragrance better. I was able to spray it from a Neiman Marcus tester and wear it today. 7 hours on and it is still detectable, though definitely a skin scent, although during the first few hours I caught whiffs of it here and there, even on busy streets full of other (less pleasant!) smells, which was a nice surprise since I feel like so many fragrances I encounter stay pretty close to the skin. My husband didn't care for it, which I found odd since he loves Hermes' Terre-- he was actually wearing it today-- and to my nose, it smells like a traditionally feminine version of Terre. The bergamot is quite prominent, as is the sweetened white floral. Smells clean and spare, but in an elegant way, rather than an unsophisticated or simplistic one. Hopefully reviewers with more experience with this scent can offer their insight, but I hope for the time being, this helps those deciding whether this is worth seeking out and investigating further! I certainly enjoyed my time with it, and am looking forward to our next encounter.

Interesting scent as is most in this collection, with a focus on florals. I like it, it's very different, however it leans feminine IMO so I will likely be giving it as a gift to a female friend. This is very long lasting and more feminine in the opening, but in the far dry goes more into the unisex direction. Solid fragrance. Edit: I'm conflicted as it might be unisex enough for me to keep. Personally I really like the profile just not sure if I can pull it off.

Elegant freesia forward scent, rounded out with pear but not 'fruity' due to vetiver.

i tried a sample of this today-i really like it-i almost smell a leather/suede note in it....not a dirty note-more like new suede/leather smell when you get a new leather coat-i quite like it with the white florals-i am searching for a bottle if anyone has one looking for a home.... this lasted several hours-it was steady, but not too loud-i didn't get the pear note-which i am glad-i don't care for pears in my perfume 0verall-if ican't find a used bottle-i will try to purchase decant-at the price i don't think i would wear it enough to justify a FB-even though i do enjoy it-i just have too many perfumes for that....

Electrum is a dirty, sexy scent on my skin! The rose has the juiciness of crushed petals. There’s a leathery accord that adds an edge. Once I spray it, it becomes a wonderful distraction.
