L’AMOUR by Lalique Extremely elegant white floral on my skin. Clean clear neroli with tuberose and non-indolic jasmine. Very floral, but not soapy. Beautiful melange of rose/bergamot/gardenia support on a base of creamy sandalwood/cedar and smooth delicate musk weaving through all. A sensually exquisite skin scent that I absolutely love sniffing away at through the day. No detergent harshness or poorly blended sourness in the citrus. The citrics here bolster the freshness of the white florals and counter any tendency to cloying over-sweetness. The sandalwood is balmy and well balanced here without tipping into full on woody darkness, allowing this blend to remain securely floral, yet with a delicate woody complexity within. Fine, clean cedar accord adds a gently sober profundity, yet without any clumsy overdone heaviness. The musk here is a moderate weight anchoring dry-down that is just luscious enough to keep this composition from becoming a choice for me in really hot summer weather. With my chemistry, this is a perfect Autumn scent for chilly mornings and evenings. I can easily see why this was released in January during the cold weather. For me this is warm, sensual, elegant, understated, discreet, exquisitely blended, and smooth as a finely woven and delicate creamy cashmere sweater. It’s gorgeous! I love it. It’s one of my favorites already! Thank you again to the House of Lalique for bringing us another gracefully refined beauty!

Another lovely fragrance from the versatile Nathalie Lorson! L'Amour is a demure white floral (the jasmine, gardenia, and tuberose are nicely blended into a non-indolic white hybrid flower) over a base of clean musk and sandalwood, with some fresh rose peeking out occasionally. It's not a very complex fragrance, but it's pretty, and it leaves you with a clean, put-together feeling. I can't imagine that anyone could object to this fragrance, which is indeed reminiscent of high-end hair products and lotions, but I suppose someone might be disappointed if they were expecting something weirder or more niche. I tried a sample of Gabrielle Essence yesterday, and it's not markedly different from this on my skin. Beige and J'Adore by Dior are similar (people compare L'Amour to Daisy, but that one smells more "purple" to me, whereas this one smells more "white-to-pale-pink"). Anyway, for fans of woody florals, try L'Amour, which is considerably less expensive and comes in a typically lovely Lalique bottle. I did have to overspray a bit, but the perfume lingers much longer on fabric than skin, even well-prepped skin--if you want it to last, make sure you mist your clothing, too.

I definitely agree that this is a unique scent. I love that I'm not able to pinpoint the exact notes of this. It smells like fresh, sweet and elegant white flower mix with a clean musky base. Great value for money. I would never guess it's a perfume on the cheaper side of things. It has a strong projection for the first 2h or so. It's winter right now (I live in a very dry and cold climate) and it stays on my skin for about 5h. It doesn't hurt to overspray it a little in cold temperatures. Stays longer on the clothes and turns into powdery-lipsticky musk in the end. I thought I hated powder until I smelled this one. It's perfect. So feminine, clean, elegant and light-pink. The bottle looks and feels fantastic, it depicts the scent a 100%. Sadly the tassels completely fell apart after only 3 weeks of daily use. Edit: It's perfect for spring and autumn, ok in winter, but too much on hot and humid summer days.

This is sooo high end smelling I’d imagine this in a dior prive collection bottle along with the other florals sakura and lucky while the retail price is 350$ The only negative in this is the light projection Pretty light projection and light smelling too That’s not an issue for me at all i prefer my lighter scents especially if they were sooo perfectly clean and floral 10/10

I got a sample of this and for a few minutes it's wonderful on me, but the dry down is so disappointing. When you first spray this it's this wonderful soft creamy slightly sweet floral - very feminine, very classy, present without being overly dramatic - I love it! Unfortunately - I guess my body chemistry dislikes white florals because after about an hour the dry down is so bland - just clean and a bit soapy smelling. I was so sad. I would say the longevity on this one is good - still could smell it about eight hours later, still bland but present. I would also say it's one that lies closer to your skin - not terrible sillage but I don't think you'll knock out anyone on an elevator. I really wished this one worked for me - but alas I'm still looking for my perfect white floral.

I really enjoy this. I was toying with blind buying it for ages, but then I got to try it and that, and the ridiculous price, decided me. Friends, it's available for less that 27€ for 100ml on Deloox (I'm in Spain) The bottle is delightful (Lalique never disappoints on this front) The scent itself - mmm. It makes my mouth water - I want to lick my arm! Obviously flowery, but I also get something juicy... peach? I do get the shampoo thing, but it's more refined than that. Sweet, but not overly sweet, and hallelujah, no vanilla. If safe is deliciously feminine and universally appealing, pretty and somewhat discrete, I guess this is safe! Nothing is jarring, it's just very enjoyable and rather romantic.

Perfect for Summer days and nights. I have my fan going, it's a hot August night and is blowing clean, creamy white flowers around me. Calming, leave the window open, forget that traffic and dream. The gardenia is not heavy, I smell more jasmine. On the opposite, on a recent evening late spring walk when it was warm and the front porches were heavy with flowering jasmine, this perfume brought out the gardenia. There was more creaminess. And I smelled that air around me and it was good, very good Romantically Lalique At an exquisite low price, it's a great choice for spring and summer. And if we dare to marry on a hot day... it would be a bride to remember indeed

It has a pleasant, charming, and mild scent. On my skin, a really lovely white flower. Neoli that is clean and transparent, with tuberose and non-indolic jasmine. Very fragrant, yet not at all soapy. A lovely blend of rose, bergamot, and gardenia is supported by a foundation of creamy sandalwood, cedar, and soft subtle musk that runs throughout. A sensuously lovely skin aroma that I like inhaling throughout the day. This is as warm, sensuous, elegant, modest, discrete, wonderfully blended, and smooth as a finely woven and delicate creamy cashmere sweater for me.

It's outrageous that this perfume is scored so low. It's a beautiful transparent white floral with a pretty cedar base, priced affordably, in a gorgeous bottle, created by one of the greatest noses in the industry. No, it's not the most unusual or distinctive fragrance out there, but in a sea of syrupy gourmands, it stands out as a crisp, elegant alternative. I think most people would consider Lalique L'Amour as more of a spring/summer perfume, but I find it appropriate for all seasons. I have yet to smell a Lalique offering that I didn't at least like.

very nice combo of jasmine, bergamot, musk and rose. lalique amour is a very good spring-summer fragrance, balanced and pleasant. it's more for cuddles than wild parties, nevertheless i found attractive and very femminine. nice sillage without being intrusive, more for daytime, casual or work. for 25 and up, for women with a soft face make up but with a personal style. a soft pink scent, approved by a man! un profumo lalique molto piacevole, femminile e non invadente. non è quello dei party selvaggi ma è un invito alle coccole. mi piace. my vote- 8,5

Nathalie Lorson has done it again!! This is gorgeous! The gardenia is so beautiful mixed with the other floral notes! It’s like walking in a beautiful garden at the peak of blooming season! L’amour is so feminine and is perfect for warmer weather! I find it to be one that stands out in my collection of many floral fragrances!! Always a compliment getter. The bottle is gorgeous! I could see this being a wedding day scent if the wedding were late spring/early summer. On my chemistry, it lasts about 7 hours! I’m very happy to have this!

Soft and feminine. Perfect floral if that is your thing. I happen to love this one as it works nicely with my chemistry and white florals are my "thing". I notice the neroli and the jasmine. My complaint is that it sits too close to the skin.. so nobody notices how lovely I smell unless they are up close. My daughter comments on it when she hugs me. I have a tendency to use more than I normally would, so to increase sillage..though, on the skin, it has good longevity. This scent is a really nice, classic, feminine floral.

This is a beautiful, crisp, musky white floral that opens with some sweetness from the bergamot. I think this could be worn all year around as a signature scent, and for a very affordable price, especially considering it’s a creation by master perfumer Natalie Lorson. The only potential downside is the weak longevity and projection. I think this would be blind but safe for any white floral lovers, it’s quite mass appealing and an underrated gem.

To me this is a lovely elegant white floral. I get a tiny bit of citrus in the opening but it quickly moves to a tuberose and gardenia scent with creamy jasmine and sandalwood playing back up. Clean and fresh enough to be office safe but floral and elegant enough for evening wear. Not a sexy tuberose though so maybe not really a date scent.

Very Feminine, clean and slightly soapy. Safe blind buy in my opinion. It doesn't last long. definitely a summer/spring day scent. Inoffensive, good for every day wear. I'd buy again Lalique does white florals well. I can't find any perfume that smells like it, Lalique is one of very few perfume houses that others don't "dupe" or "clone".

ALL TIME FAVORITE! My boyfriend got me this fragrance, 100 ml bottle, 2 months ago and I ́ve literally used half of it! I can ́t get enough! I think I ́ve finally found my signature fragrance. And I really haven ́t found something similar to it. It is unique, the most beautiful white floral scent. 10/10 :)

This is one of my favorite white floral fragrances. I love the fresh citrus from the neroli, the creamy jasmine, and the hint of sweet from the tuberose. Very elegant. I own a travel size, and I would love to own a full bottle. One of my favorite scents to wear before going on a walk.

I beg you not to comment when you've sampled only 5 floral woody musky scents and you cannot make a distinction between them whatsoever. Just don't, you'll look so silly. Very ignorant at best. And if you do decide to go for it, don't call yourself a connoisseur.

In the 70s, Aunts wore Gardenia and that’s why I have become careful with it. Here I can smell the Gardenia, but the creaminess of strong Tuberose combined with neroli and jasmine turns my mind away from the image of the grandmother’s scent. So Beautiful.

This is a light, soft, very intoxicating fragrance. Sillage is not the best and it becomes a skin scent within a few hours, but it lasts on my clothing forever and I love the smell. It was a blind, impulsive buy, but I don't regret it at all.

My all time favorite smell, it is just so amazing , elegant yet unique. Not too worn too wich makes you have a unique smell. This smells like pure rich lady. Only downside is the longevity, I would say after 4-5 hours I have to reapply

I find this really similar to daisy. Jasmine and gardenia really dominant in here.. It's lovely , very fresh, and really a great buy at a good value. If you like white floral,you might like this one.

A lovely clean, fresh white floral. I wear this all year round and for every type of event. It is very elegant and lady like but because it is so clean I can wear it when I am dressed down too.

Fresh, flowery and well balanced. The bottle is simply gorgeous. Unfortunately on my skin doesn't last long. It's a pitty becouse I really like it!!!!

Soft but headache inducing. But the smell is lovely nevertheless. Very long lasting. I sprayed it and the day after I can still smell the perfume.

This smells AWESOME and lasts a lot.. my new fave!

"L'Amour" starts akin the old Hollywood movie about romance with lightness and charm. Neroli, bergamot and rose are beautifully blended together, with a light sparkle from bergamot and neroli at its finest, both beautifully wrapped in rose petals, like a first glance that lingered a moment longer, first smile that gave hope and first touch of the fingers that created the gentlest of sparks. The scent develops into the one with fruity undertones, with a vintage touch, fresh and classy, think pear and apple combined. Jasmine and gardenia play well with each other, delivering a perfect white floral bouquet, without any animalistic or overbearing notes. Think "Roman Holidays" with its exuberance, Audrey Hepburn's sunny smile and eyes sparkling with joy and excitement. I do not feel much of the tuberose, but may be, she is the one that makes me feel a custard apple (Annona squamosa) in the mix. Isn't love a forbidden apple after all, that humans have been addicted to since their time in the Garden of Eden? "L'Amour" is also rather etherial, one could say ozonic, which adds to its charm and romantic nature. Gardenia blooms bright with sweet and creamy exuberance, elegant and alluring. The fragrance's projection is on a reasonable, but not overpowering side, it has depth, multifaceted character and inviting pull. Sillage will not be there, unless one is close to the wearer, making it intimate and smooth. Dry down is led by musk, fresh and cloud-like, with bright wood notes supporting the sensation of unrestrained happiness and joy of being. "L'Amour" is exactly what it says on the bottle - an incredible beauty of the newly born feeling of tenderness and fascination, newness of emotions and free-spirited desire; it is all about sunshine through the rain, togetherness which makes the grey rainy day feel like the heaven pours silver silk down to earth and hope, eternal hope that this is forever, all of it, no matter what.

Casaque was one of my most beloved favourites back in the ‘70’s. I am not a Lalique fan in general. Yes the bottles are beautiful, they’re so heavy, you could do some serious damage throwing one around...this showed up on Fragrancenet as a new arrival, it was reasonably well priced, so I thought I would check out the reviews. I was excited to read that some contributors had compared this to Casaque (I wasn’t discouraged by how tenuously) so I indulged and bought a bottle. I would say this one shares a little of Casaque’s DNA. If you were to compare the connection to a family’s lineage, I would say she’s her grand daughter. Granny’s beauty, depth, reach and passion didn’t quite make it down the line, but you can see her in the shadows, A pretty floral bouquet that’s not going to set the world on fire. You could gift this safely, it’s not a beast mode fragrance, and it would be perfect for warmer months. Definitely worth the sub US$28 price tag.

I know that a perfume is good when instead of storing my sample or throwing it into my "get rid of" box after couple of tests, I keep spraying it instead until it's gone. There really is nothing unique about L'Amour. A white floral, jasmine and tuberose, this has been done thousands of times before in other perfumes. Yet this one stands out to me. For contrast, just the day prior I tested Gucci Bloom Intense, which is also a jasmine/tuberose white floral, and it was absolutely horrific, distasteful, screechy, synthetic. L'Amour is the opposite of that - uber classy, exceptionally well blended, without any sharp notes sticking out. So smooth! Beautiful, beautiful classy white floral. I can absolutely see it being a wedding day perfume. Fancy, yet not pretentious. And the drydown is mostly non-disgusting clean musk and sandalwood. Projection is minimal, which makes it very suitable for work to me.

I got a sample. As I was taking in the fragrance, it seemed utterly familiar -- as in something I should intimately know. Then it hit me: L'Amour smells exactly like 5th Avenue (Elizabeth Arden). I should know, I wore 5th Avenue as my signature perfume in the late '90's, early 2000's. There is one difference: 5th Avenue was more intense, with a greater sillage. More of a '90's perfume. In comparison, l'Amour is more ethereal, in tune with current work office sensibilities. I developed chemical sensitivities over 10 years ago, and 5th Avenue was a perfume I reacted to. I didn't get any reaction with L'Amour. l'Amour is a very lovely, rather safe, white floral. Would I wear it? No. Smelling it made me realize that it just didn't interest me anymore. Maybe because it reminds of a period of my life that is now gone, or maybe because my tastes have just evolved. But it is very nice.

My usual gripe with tuberose and/or white floral dominant fragrances is 1) headaches and 2) a citrus and white floral soap. I got none of that here (although I did wear this outside and that could have helped with the headaches). This perfume is an elegant blend: classy, sweet and sophisticated, and not too brash or showy. It opens as a gorgeous tuberose, with a white floral background and a powdered sort of rosiness that becomes cleaner as it dries down. The citrus accords keep it fresh. Judging by the other reviews this one is very chemistry dependent, so I wouldn't recommend it as a blind buy. L'Amour is my favourite out of all of the Lalique perfumes that I've tested so far. Looking forward to seeing how it performs in warmer weather. Soft to moderate sillage; lasted for about 4-5 hours. Lovely.

This is a good blind buy, in my opinion. L’Amour Lalique opens as a very common floral scent that, at first, reminded me of Johnson’s Baby Cologne, which honestly disappointed me a bit, considering the price. But as it dries down, it becomes soft, powdery, and clean. It reminds me of that fresh-out-of-the-shower, lotiony, clean-skin scent after a really good bath, so I agree with the reviews that say it’s soapy or reminiscent of shampoo. It slightly reminds me of Glossier You because of that clean, skin-scent vibe, though L’Amour Lalique is less musky and more powdery. If you’re into clean, fresh, powdery, and floral scents like me, I think you should try it. It’s suitable for everyday fragrance. It smells natural on the skin without being loud or overwhelming.

I bought it a year ago and started using last June when I had a cold and the weather was rather cool too. Why then? When I bought it, I smelled something weird about it. Clearly - that was not the best time for it. I started using in on purpose during the time when my nose was blocked. It turned out to be a great idea as I had time to get used to the base notes without felling the irritating head and heart notes. Later I became more and more familiar with the perfume and in time I began to appreciate it as it is - with its depth, complexity and harmony. Now it's cool June again (although luckily I don't have a cold anymore) and I'm going to enjoy it to the fullest - the wonderful blend of cool white florals and woody notes, delicate and timeless.

My favorite floral scent these days. The beautiful side of soapiness. Normally, anything floral and soapy makes me sneeze and doesn't let me breathe. I can't tell I really enjoy smelling them on me. (except hugo boss femme-- only its opening is soapy) Anyway, I definitely get rose, tuberose and gardenia. I can literally pick each note and separate them from each other. Neroli and bergamot-only citrus notes I like, balance out the flower notes very well that it still doesn't bother me even though I can easily feel those soapy flower notes. (Rose is the number one) However, I really like this cutie :) I would recommend anyone this fragrance. Quite likable. Pretty. Feminine.

Thank you all for the recall information... I haven't figured out if my specific bottle is recalled yet. But setting that aside, I was (perversely?) motivated to wear this today and I'm starting to love it! I didn't feel a lot for it until now - I think I just had to give it some time and wear it the in the right season. It seemed a little boring to me, but now I feel differently. It's lovely on a sunny, warm/hot summer day. Light and refreshing, not cloying but not really citrusy either. I'd call this a feminine, gentle "white t-shirt" fragrance for a summer day. Bottle is beautiful, sprayer/atomizer is great. Loving it!

The first 30 minutes is a torture. It's like "BOOM BOOM BOOM" every notes-especially rose-are screaming for attention at the same time. The next 30 minutes it calms down a bit. Wait again for another 30 minutes and...there you go. Very subtle yet lovely scent. I can't detect any citrus, but I get beautiful blend of neroli, jasmine, and tuberose. It has soft projection, moderate longevity, and I think is suitable for day and night use. EDIT: I spend all day staying indoor in an air-conditioned room during quarantine. This perfume stays on my skin for good 8-10 hours before turning into skin scent. It's amazing.

I can't give a detailed review for this scent as I'm still quite new to fragrances, but I can say it is a very pleasant and clean white floral. I picked it up during a boxing day sale, so the value was great. I sprayed it once and all I could think was "this is totally something my mom would wear"; not at all in a bad way, but the feeling was so strong that I just had to give it to her! (She's the one who got me interested in perfumes again since I stopped after working at Lush for years. She bought a bottle of Idôle after smelling it on a customer and didn't end up liking it for herself- lucky me!)

L'amour de Lalique... where do I start? I received it as a prize in a beauty contest held by Forture, one of the biggest perfumeries in Egypt. Amour is really an "amour de parfum" which translates from French as a lovely fragrance. It's elegant, potent and sexy... There's nothing casual or simple about it... It's perfect for special occasions. It's all about Jasmine, just wished the Neroli note was less "stubborn"! I also get the tuberose just for seconds when first sprayed. A must have for jasmine seekers and even more for neroli lovers!

I really hoped that I would like it enough to buy it. Reason is simple - I love Lalique bottles. Unfortunately, middle notes were quite problematic to me. It could be tuberose, cause I usually dislike scents with strong tuberose, like Gracious Tuberose by Gucci or Tresor by Lancome. On my skin it smells like some house detergent. Worse than soap. ( I mean middle notes. Top and base are OK ) It is really a misery that Lalique produces such lovely bottles with perfume I could not wear!

Overture is just bad, really awful. Like rotting something. Then suddenly, unexpectedly, beautiful faceted florals emerge from the rot...fragrant, feminine & lovely. Evolution brings creamy cedar & sandalwood, and it all comes together in well-balanced elegance. This scent is very lady in demure summer dress & floral sun hat. She’s graceful; she curtsies rather than bends to inhale a fragrant rose, cupping it delicately in her lace gloved hand...

I don't know why, but the first spray made me think of being at a beach and smelling sunscreen - in a good way. Not sure what ingredients make that impression on me. After that it's pleasant and flowery and pretty. There's something a bit more sophisticated about this than many of the other light florals that it reminds me of. Also, I think this is definitely a safe scent for a blind buy or office wear. It's very unlikely to offend.

True, I’ve found this recall. ‘According to the list of ingredients, the product contains 2-(4-tert-butylbenzyl) propionaldehyde (BMHCA), which is prohibited in cosmetic products. BMHCA may harm the reproductive system, may harm the health of the unborn child and may cause skin sensitisation.’ They’ve also recalled Aura Mugler EDP and Lovely EDP SJP for the same reason. Check the ingredients if you are concerned about your health.

First time I've smelt anything from Lalique and a good introduction! I got a sample of this in my Glossybox. On my skin the first thing i smell is the lime, then it starts to smell more floral. It's not like your typical floral scents, there's something a bit different about it. I haven't found the sillage fantastic but i can still smell it on myself after a few hours. Definitely one to keep an eye out for if it goes on offer.
