Living Lalique

I usually don't like woody fragrances at all but Lalique living is my lovely exception It starts powdery,tones of soft powders surround you and sit gently on your skin and I love this,of course it IS woody but thanks God,I mostly detect cashmeran and Tonka bean,which I like I don't find just iris powdery here so it's not lip steaky,you know how cashmeran and pepper can be powdery too.and I can easily detect lavender here,specially when first sprayed.I never thought that I can love lavender in a perfume designed for women but here,lavender goes so well with wood and powder spiced by pepper and nutmeg,not that much spiced to burn your nostrils,just a tad tastey.it feels warm,cozy,fresh and clean at the same time It definitely can be unisex IMO,is kind of nostalgic for me and reminds me my dad every time I spray it but this doesn't stop me from liking and wearing it best season for it is fall,when you are wrapped in all these woodsy powdery spicy goodness..longevity is moderate and it sits close to skin I believe living is unique,there are not much similar feminine fragrances out there.if you're tired of all other feminine fragrances with all those fruits,flowers and gourmand notes in them you have to try this one.it has a specific personality, serious but kind,not a girly or seductive kind of fragrance,it feels sophisticated,can be an acceptable choice for formal or casual cases but I won't choose it for clubbing or romantic dates.it can make a perfect office perfume And it's bottle is to die for I'm starting to appreciate Lalique as a perfume brand."living", "le parfum", "satin", "perles" and even "elle noir"are all different with mainstream while being easy to use and their reasonable prices is another bonus لالیک از برندهای خوش قیمت محبوب منه و عطرهای زنونه ی خاص و به یادموندنی مثل له پارفیوم,ساتین,پرلز و اله نویر داره و قطعا لیوینگ هم جزوشونه کلا عطرهای چوبی دوس ندارم و لالیک لیوینگ از معدود استثناهامه.نت های چوبی,روایح اسپایسی و پودری خیلی هنرمندانه در هم ادغام شدن و حاصل کار رایحه ای آرامش بخش و بالغ و تمیزه که بعنوان عطر امضا برای خانوم هایی ک از عطرهای زنونه رایج ک پر از میوه و گل و ترکیبات خوراکی طور هستن خسته شدن و میخوان یه عطر متفاوت داشته باشن خیلی مناسبه,همچنین بعنوان عطر روزانه ی پاییز(البته بصورت چهارفصل قابل استفاده ست) و بعنوان عطر اداره و محل کار یه گزینه عالیه موندگاری خوب و پخش بوی متوسط داره و رایحه جدی,باوقار,مهربون و باشخصیتی داره ک میتونه یونی باشه و برای آقایون هم قابل استفاده ست

I'm collecting Lalique fragrances. I knew this one had been discontinued, but recently I saw the lotion available for a great price on a gray market site. I was immediately attracted to the swooping birds on the package design. I liked it so much I ordered a second one and then set about attempting to track down a bottle of EDP. It took a little while but I found a lightly used bottle online, 100 ml and went significantly over my usual limit for it. Wow, this one is my prize! First, the bottle - so clear, so heavy, feels perfect in my hands. The design is lovely, elegant and slightly intimidating. The accords above mirror my experience with this. For me, it is not an everyday fragrance at all, I need to be in the right mood. Today I am alone with my thoughts, in my studio, and finding Living to be an invigorating and inspiring companion. I love many traditionally feminine fragrances but I also love this woody, slightly smoky masterpiece on me. It challenges me, and I respect it. There are lots of other days when this is not my first choice - when maybe I'm not up for the challenge. But most days it IS the first one I pick up to simply hold in my hand and smell the cap before I choose my SOTD. I thoroughly enjoy it even when I don't wear it. This beautiful perfume is probably not for everyone. It's woody, fascinating and a little intimidating. It's the teacher you love who you know you need but also scares you a little. This is how I interpret this one, and though it is not an every day scent for me, it is a privilege to have and to know this discontinued treasure. If you like woody, aromatic scents and you happen across this in the wilds of second-hand or estate shopping, I highly recommend it.

Oooooh, this is good. I have a terrible(!) blind buying habit and have had a lot of success with Lalique perfumes; this is described as balsamic, it's Lalique... so I bought a partially used bottle from a seller on eBay. I think Lalique missed an opportunity here - had this been marketed as a unisex scent, it would have been a greater commercial success; its woodiness combined with vetiver definitely makes it lean masculine (having said that, wear whatever makes you happy). Living has a wonderful sandalwood presence, which performs in my favourite way - as a light oud (in fact I thought there was oud in it before I checked the notes). It's not a barnyardy oud - please don't let my reference put you off - the sandalwood just has that slight edge which I absolutely love. I am not getting mint from Living, thank goodness. I like mint but I don't want to smell it in my perfume. Although beautifully blended, lavender, citrus and wood all pull in slightly different directions and it could almost be described as a fougere. Sillage is soft, bordering moderate. I've only been wearing this for a couple of hours, so I'm not sure about longevity, but it's now priced very reasonably, so I don't mind respraying when necessary. ETA. Living Lalique has a powdery and creamy feel to it, which may be due to the iris/vanilla combination - I find it quite unusual; I don't recall any other perfume which is similar to it. I love it. Edited again: The sillage on this is greater than I initially thought. Two people I work with commented on the "lovely perfume" I was wearing - and they were both nearly two metres from me (although the door was open and there was a draught, so they were downwind of me).

I wish this lasted longer. (Edit: I take this back, I can smell it on me the next day, just not explicitly on my skin. Hangs in the air like a fuzzy aura! Yay!) Still - a delicious offering, and the best Lalique I’ve tried by far. I’m not usually a fan of Lavender notes but this is Lavender done so perfectly that you can’t help but enjoy it - I almost want MORE Lavender if that’s possible, because it is strongest and freshest when first sprayed and doesn’t stick around in the creamy drydown. This is primarily, though, a creamy, woody perfume. Lavender just lifts it. I almost get coconutty vibes in here from the cashmeran, but not quite, and I disagree with the reviews that say it can’t work in warm weather - it definitely can. It’s nowhere near overpowering enough to be offensive in warm weather. In fact, in the summer sun it almost gets a TINY bit sunscreeny, but only in a background kind of way. That’s probably the lavender mixing with the tonka. Do I wish there was a little more bergamot for freshness? Sure, but we can’t have everything. I really love it. It’s what I wanted from the much more popular Libre by YSL, but didn’t get. Creamy, woody, and a tantalising fougere that disappears and reappears. As a true autumn there’s not a lot of summer fragrances I enjoy, so in the spirit of going against popular opinion I may just have to make this one of my summer staples. I live in the UK, so I can pull it off. We have about 3 days of summer here.

This was a hugeeee surprise for me. I received it like a New Year 🎁 from a good friend. It's arrived at my house on 29 but I didn't have time to open till 31, when I see it from Lalique I was like...hmm not such a big fan, they don't really have feminsit scent in their collection...at least that was I thought than. Anyway, I opened it and sprayed in the air because I was afraid really to put it on skin, considering that everything I had tested at Lalique was sweet, sugary, girlish etc. When the atomizer sprayed ... wow. What is this, I thought? This can't be Lalique, this thing smell like a Patou from 90, powdery, mentholated citrate beginning, then follows a creamy, the medium notes are aromatic, I smell a nut with a classic iris not the sweat one from today formulas, something resembling cardamom and something floral like a magnolia, and the base...I don't really like cashmere wood but in this combination I don't mind, woody with a little sweetness, powdery and floral and at the final before to disappear a vetiver vanilla. A feminist lovely formula, a fragment which is seen to have been created for the feminist area, for the career women area, for the suit .... very good no words remain.If Lalique managed to bring this in 2015, I decided that will keep an eye on this brand from now on

@psirus788. You are overthinking! You have bought from a reputable seller. I am quite sure there is nothing for you to worry about. I have bought Lalique perfumes from sellers on eBay and they are absolutely genuine. From what I can gather from online message boards, it appears that fake fragrances are usually those which are very fashionable and popular, not niche or the very high end ones (like Hermes, for example). There's not enough money in it for the counterfeiters. I may be completely wrong, but I would bet money on your Living Lalique being genuine. I hope this helps you. Barbara x P.S. Living Lalique perfumes on sale on eBay are very likely to be - um - shall we say? - illegally obtained, rather than counterfeit. I have a friend who works for a very well known department store in London and they "lose" £3/4 million in stock every year. The other thing with perfumes on eBay is that - particularly if the bottle is refillable - the content "can" be diluted. I suspect this is one of the reasons why there is a healthy trade in empty bottles and boxes. ETA. You know, giving your hard earned cash to a small independent retailer rather than a massive enterprise is a much kinder way to spend it. Just musing.

Blind buy after listening to a review on this perfume did not dissapoint me. This fragrance gives me sense of confidence, harmony, comfort and focuss. It just makes me happy and energetic. On my skin it is rather long lasting (10 hours+) and even when it has dried down to base it still gives me waffs of complete pyramide not heard directly on skin any more. This perfume has quickly became one of my most favorite this spring and due to Living Lalique I have started to like note of vetiver which has introduced me to it's very subtle lustfullness and seems even sweet. On the side note - an interesting thing is that the pyramide here on fragrantica is rather different from that on basenotes.net and elsewhere (nowsmellthis, candyperfumeboy) and I tend to believe more the last one as the notes that I hear on me are closer to their experience. I do not hear any lavander and mint, but surely hear black pepper and nutmeg notes in the spicy start, also no rose in the heart or cedar in base but surely woody, buttery iris throughout heart till very end.

Comforting fluffy cloud of cashmeran, lavender and iris, on a tonka base with a hint of sea salt. Not ground braking, but beautiful and well made; and the salty note was unexpected, I think it complements this fragrance well. I love to use it before bed during the colder months, or on lazy Sundays. This might make a good office fragrance. It is completely unisex. Similar to Dior Homme, which by the way, I know a couple of very feminine women who wear it, but Living has what seem to be equal parts lavender and iris, which keeps it ethereal and fresh, and Living is softer than DH, really like a cloud sans the leather or chocolate notes to weigh it down. If you like lavender and iris, you should check this out, Living has a very comforting warmth, unusual to their character. It's as if Lavender and Iris lived on a cliff by the English seaside, and had gotten themselves a hot cup of chai tea and cozy triple ply cashmere sweaters. On my skin: 6-7 hrs of longevity Arm's length projection.

This was an instant love and almost immediate purchase after sampling. A woody, musky, earthy and yet somewhat feminine vetiver scent, which is hard to come by. The bottle is hefty and looks classy on the dresser. It's spicy like black pepper and smooth in the drydown like powdered sandalwood. I will often buy a perfume if the drydown is even better than the first few hours and Living Lalique has the most exquisite drydown on my skin. I tend to save this one for more special days. I called it somewhat feminine but a man could 100% wear this too. Vetiver has that no nonsense effect and I love this vetiver perfume so much. This is one of the smells that I consider sexy in the manner of someone who is confident and quietly goes after their goals.

If it weren't for the occasional wafts and compliments when I wear this, I'd think it wasn't working. I love this in the first two hours, but then I become anosmic. The scent does stay on clothes to the next day, and I'll find it again then (just not while wearing it!). A love at first sniff on me, I purchased a large bottle for dirt cheap. Now it's discontinued and ridiculously priced. This is one of the only scents I've had a stranger stop me to ask what I was wearing too. It's an odd blend of a bunch of notes I like. I was hoping to find a lovely lavender blend that wasn't so sweet on me (like YSL Libre...I hated the dry down) and this was it.

Marvelous creation, unisex for sure. Very smooth, dusty but light and pleasant scent. To my nose it smells a bit like a paper but in the best way possible. Dominant notes are cashmeran, sandalwood and pepper. Vetiver is noticeable too, combined with orris,iris and levander gives that masculinity and a bit of soapines to the scent. But all in all i adore this a lot. Beautiful blend, the scent is floating around you and there is no particular note that strikes you. Sadly, do not last long on the skin. Scent: 9/10, performance: 7/10.

Wore this perfume for my wedding. A rare choice for brides but this was special since my now husband gifted this to me before planning our wedding. Not a typical scent for women but I like perfumes that are unconventional for women to wear. This leans unisex which is what I usually wear. Sophisticated bottle but a dark and scrumptious scent. The longevity is great especially on cooler weather. Felt elegant and special while smelling this on me all day on my wedding.

I love this scent so much. It's a soft, comforting cloud of cashmeran for me. It lasts decently, 6-8 hours, and isn't super strong, but definitely noticeable enough to enjoy it well. It doesn't smell spicy to me, just woody and very professional-seeming. I love wearing it anywhere, and it is definitely very work-friendly. I have lots of scents and love mixing it up, but still find myself wanting to wear this many days in a row. The bottle is amazingly gorgeous.

Living becomes a warm, sultry, smoky lavender/vanilla in cooler weather. Quite surprising. I was used to wearing this in warmer weather where it feels like a heavy lavender perfume but, having worn Living in cooler (48F) temps, it is so beautiful and sexy. A cooler weather staple.

Lalique Living is a gentle vanilla and lavender with a light spice. Like Lanvin Oxygene plus lavender. That pepper note is beautiful. Gentle perfume in temperate and cold weather. Conveys a blend of Mon Guerlain and Oxygene. Comforting and cozy. Very similar to Rochas man.

It's quite heavy on vetiver which makes it a bit too masculine for me right now, won't be able to use it every day but what surprised me the most is the longevity, I have a dry and perfume eating skin, but this baby stays with me for more than 12 hours!

Mature and feminine without being too stuffy 😌 It reminds me of a more grown up R.E.M. by Ariana Grande, but with a less sweeter dry down. I especially love how it lasts all day without being too cloying. I wish it were easier to find, though.

God please tell me this isn't discontinued. I can't find it ANYWHERE right now. Hoping it's a temporary thing. This is the best fragrance I have ever had the pleasure of putting my nose to.

Firstly, this is NOTHING LIKE Dior Homme. There are trace elements of Rochas Man in there, (almond) but also amber, lavender and vanilla. No woods. May be hard for a guy to pull off...

Incredible fragrance, love the vetiver and iris combo, it is so smooth, clean and addictive. Easily unisex. But it just blooms on women.

I LOVE IT. It's not masculine but rather smells like the feminine version of the men's perfumes we love but can't wear. So unique.

Warm spicy Vetiver. Dark and delicious x

I find this pleasant, however overrated. In my opinion...it's just a ordinary woody perfume and while there's a good amount of notes and components going on here...I still find it very muted and without a lot of depth. It's woody. A little powdery. The peppery note definitely comes through. I dunno...it's light though. It's not heavy which isn't necessarily a bad thing but I was expecting more....character shall I say. It's okay. I do like that it is undoubtedly unisex regardless of the marketing. The bottle is very classy as I was expecting with Lalique. They make very unique bottles that look like a work of art. Anyway, this scent is pleasant. It doesn't smell bad. I just expected more. I would use this in the fall and winter. Woody / powdery perfumes don't sit so well in the summer in my opinion. Longevity - 4 hours Projection - About a foot and a half. 2 feet if oversprayed. Overall Score - 6.5/10. A 7 if I'm feeling generous.

Really lovely. Soft, smooth, woody, peppery. Sandalwood, lavender & almond. Skin close. Brings to mind Emporio Lei and CK Reveal and Burberry Brit for me, but considering that I have those in my collection and am inclined toward more "floral forward" scents generally, I feel that this isn't going to get the use it deserves, especially since I'm not too keen on lavender in perfume. I love the demure smoothness of this though. Very understated. Longevity not too impressive, however. On my (male) best friend this smells completely different and became cloying, so chemistry really plays a major role in this one's performance and character. I'm a fan, but it just doesn't perform well enough on my skin when compared with other scents in this style. (Take it all with a pinch of salt, I love this stuff.)

This one I find an instant love. Masculine ...??....YES. Unisex...??...YES I get a great mix of lavender/tonka/iris/woods. Aromatic for sure. This scent can fool you about the projection...You think it has "died" away...but the aromatic quality in this allows the scent to remain...surrounding you in a cloud. It kinda comes and goes. It has a nice smoothness in the dry-down,and I don't find it heavily "peppery" although the pepper is in there. Labdanum is there as well, but not overly pronounced. Vetiver is more evident in the dry-down. The beginning is lavender/tonka...then orris/iris popo into the picture. I am enjoying this scent alot. And, like others have said, the bottle is fabulous.

This is very feminine on me, and the vetiver is not very pronounced to my nose (not at all like Fat Electrician, which is definitely unisex---and not even as prominent vetiver as Mugler Angel Muse). It is mostly a cashmeran soft warm fragrance with a tiny woodsy bite from the vetiver, warm rose, buttery orris, and NO black pepper whatsoever. Sadly, it's not got a lot of projection or longevity (4.5 hours with 6 sprays is about it) but it's so pretty that I don't much mind. The bottle is gorgeous and unique and I feel like this is a keeper even if it's not a strong one.

The Short: Do not blind buy. Very unique scent. The Long: It is woodsy masculine at opening. All cedar and vetiver. It passes quickly by. Then it is this soft brand new barbie/doll smell. (Not in a bad way either.) I notice hints of powdery iris maybe. And some sweetness not syrupy. Very complex in my opinion. This has a arms length projection. Once it has developed, it lasts 2-4 hrs. Bottle is beautiful and my main motivation for this purchase. Try a sample first. Note: This smells great on my son, not like barbie (vinyl) at all. Very cozy and masculine on him.

Gorgeous bottle, of course. To me, this is so close to Balmain's AMBRE GRIS, but without the cinnamon and much softer. It doesn't last long at all - while you're able to smell it there's a beautiful tonka, sandalwood musky whisper. If you compare the two side to side, AG is like a course cymbal clash, while LL is nothing more than a short lived, quickly departed, kiss upon the cheek. AG is a superb fragrance - and it has staying power. As much as I love Lalique, I'll not be replacing LL once it's gone - I have a nice supply of AG to enjoy.

This is very, very woody and fresh, so if that's your thing, check it out. I don't get any pepper at all, and I wish I did. I like it, but I think this is one that I will have to try with the different seasons. I was hoping the iris was more prominant, along with the pepper. Yes, I bought the bottle; it's a beauty and I had to have it. We'll see when it heats up or when it gets cold. I was wearing it in 50 degrees: woody, moderate longevity, fresh skin scent ++. Why the talk of iris as if it's so rare in the ad? Aren't they everywhere? Or is it just the United States? Seems everyone has them in spring gardens in Michigan. I'm so curious about this frag. It seems right up my alley. I love the art work of the swallows on main site. So beautiful.

Quite strange scent, but nice. Hard to describe. It's like a light orient with a bit of herbal notes. I like it, but it's not for me. It's a shame because bottle is simply stunning.

Nice and fresh scent, which reminds me of celery. I do not get warm and dark from this. To me it is airy, fresh, powdery. Perfect for spring.

Living from Lalique manages to straddle the middle of the road for me, and I’m wishing Fragrantica had a neutral voting option. Pros with the brand include their beautiful bottle designs and budget friendly prices—$25 for 50ml in the grey market. What a deal! Cons are the amount of low quality synthetic materials used to create the scents. Vetiver and lavender notes create an intriguing masculine leaning opening, but it’s on top of a strong cashmeran note that—blended with all the remaining notes—reminds me of a high end department store smell. The overall effect is a conservative, non challenging, office scent. I don’t dislike Living so I won’t be giving this perfume the thumbs down, but I can’t give it a thumbs up either.

My first mistake from Lalique. The bottle is so beautiful, but I don’t keep scents in my closet because of the bottle. The opening promises pure iris, lavender goodness, but This doesn’t last on my skin even ten minutes and when it dry I can smell just a weak pepper that irritates and causes me restlessness. If you like this opening, strong masculine grip, but not pepper, then try for example Diesel plus plus Femme. It’s quite similar in the opening, but it has an interesting plot when it dries, It's longlasting and at least it doesn’t irritate the nose like this. Well, you can’t always win and despite that, Lalique remains one of my favorite houses anyway.

This fragrance is really interesting. It’s like a feminine spin on a masculine composition. If you like variety this is a good one to have in your wardrobe it’s definitely unique. This was the fragrance sample that confirmed that I definitely don’t like powdery scents. It’s disappointing because I think the woody lavender nutmeg combo is so cool. Edit: Okay this has really grown on me. It can be my one powdery scent. I really appreciate that it’s different/unique without sacrificing being really good to accomplish that. It’s definitely not my signature scent but definitely is signature worthy. A must try for anyone who likes the notes listed.

this starts with a lot of bergamot and lavender, quickly followed by woods. it leans traditionally masculine. after awhile i get tonka and cashmeran. it is primarily a lavender-vetiver on me. i was hoping for more iris and labdanum but this is a very woody fougere on my skin. not bad, just not my style.

I blind bought this fragrance for the bottle, which is absolutely gorgeous. However on me, the scent is another matter all together. I have tried it on numerous occasions now and honestly, this is incredibly masculine. I'm not sure if it's the woods or pepper, but whatever it is it's really sharp and makes my nose burn. There really is nothing feminine about this at all. I can't even detect one floral note. I enjoy wearing masculine scents and own quite a few, but this one is just too manly. Hopefully my husband will enjoy wearing it. Such a pity, I really tried to like it. Apologies to those who love this fragrance.

Strongly woody and spicy perfume, that is clearly too much for me. I think it's marketed as daytime scent, but it's way too strong for that. It's also a little weird for a night time scent. I sense tonka bean, woody notes, sandalwood and vetiver the most. I think it must be more suitable for older women.

This smells like the house I grew up in; a 1968 raised ranch house with a dampish half underground basement where carpeting freshener and vanilla candles were powerfully masking old house smells. There’s a masculine aroma on top of this as if a man wearing Obsession cologne has just left the room.

2019-2020 Living EDP. EDP? M'kay. Living is a skin scent within 2 minutes on me. But it does not disappear and has longevity - 12 hours at least. One suspects it's raison d'être is cashmere impact - no hard edges and demure projection. Yet other Laliques are blasts on me. Maybe sadly I am nose blind to something in this. Since it does not disappear, I must adjust to appreciate such "long form" perfumery. Reading Edith Wharton, rather than binging the series Harlots. Am I ageing and my skin and nose are not performing? Is Lalique dialing scents down? A bit of both. What do you think? How could this be the same perfume described below, in reviews from 5 years ago? Clouds. Powerful. Strong. Ah, no. Good value though. It's so easy to share your glamour crypt Encre Noire with society and with yourself. Do not be busy or distracted when wearing Living, however. The name is instructive. It's not named "Working", or "Dating". If you wear scents to communicate to others, this fragrance is not your smoke signal. If you wear scents to work, but for yourself, you will be too distracted by work to enjoy Living. Wear Living for quiet, living at home time, and it could entertain you. My nose to my skin, Living is extremely dry and neither comfy nor generous. It is cerebral and elegant. It's not benign. Like it's name, the bottle is instructive. What is that? I see "spidery" and "pod". It's gorgeous but it's dangerous. The perfumer has a trick up his sleeve. At best we think of Daddy Long Legs - a "harmless" home companion yet there is something alien. "Soft" Living. But the woods and resin create a venomous vibe, stealthy and strengthening after a few hours. This perfume is not "nice". There IS a spider living in your antique armoire, among your cashmere. And if it's not a Daddy Long Legs, it will bite you. I could not spray this before bed.

Hi guys! I need advice. Should I be worried if I purchased my living lalique for £97 from a shop called Cologne&Cotton on Kensington Church Street, London w8, if the official Lalique website doesn't list this store as their official distributor? I went to Harrods straight after purchasing and hoped to spot the difference by smelling their stock of living lalique as Harrods Inn fact was listed as one of the official distributors. But unfortunately, I found the entire ground floor of Harrods quite intoxicating due to the fact that customers continually sprey different products and I am very sensitive to smells. It was unreasonable of me to expect otherwise. Now, the question is: Why didn't I go to Harrods straightaway bypassing Cologne&Cotton? Because Cologne&Cotton has brilliant reputation otherwise, I had no reason to doubt their integrity. But, why then the official Lalique website doesn't list this store as their official distributor? Cologne&Cotton shop assistant was made aware of my trepidation and assured me that the reason why they are not listed was because they are small boutique style shop and apart from lalique fragrances they do not stock other lalique items like vases and exquisite perfume glassware. I am still pondering considering that there are so many offers on eBay for my living lalique for half of what I paid today, assumingly indicating on the fact that those items are counterfeit. It has been only day one I'm wearing my living lalique, so far so good. Hopefully, I would not grow disappointed at a later date when it transpires that my today's purchase isn't the real thing.

Sorry but I must chime in on the last info given about fakes. It absolutely isn't only popular designer type fragrances being counterfeited. Many niche brands are counterfeited, even rare and exclusive ones. To give you an idea, ALL of these are being faked and sold on Ebay regularly: Tom Ford Private Blend, Kilian, Creed, Bond No 9, Frederic Malle, Xerjoff, Sospiro....even rare stuff like Shaik...and even Roja Dove. Tauer fake decants are even being sold. I bought a rare Harrod's exclusive Elie Saab Rose Essence No 1 (nobody had hardly even heard of it) and it was fake. Even had Chanel double cc's inside the cap! So PLEASE don't think niche or exclusive stuff is guaranteed to be real. You need to know the product well or you may not even notice. That said, I highly doubt the Living purchased is fake. Cologne and Cotton is a reputable store. But anything is possible. But the odds are very slim. I just bought a bottle from a discount retailer that is 100% real for $27. Lalique is regularly marked down 70-80%. Why, I do not know, their stuff is great.

This is really nice. Simple, clean, attractive in its profile - it’s an uncomplicated, sent-bon, easy choice for when you wanna smell inoffensively, objectively good. There’s a really nice interplay between cool-hot here; a soft warmth from the woods/cashmeran/black pepper/vanilla with a balanced coolness from the iris/mint/rose/lavender. Almost has a demi-gourmand feel. Super unisex, and sexy to boot. I can definitely smell the similarity to Dior Homme, but this is a little less aggressive and forward, with a bit more warmth & suppleness. Only critique is that the longevity isn’t stellar - it disappears after a couple hours. However, the price is good enough that you won’t feel too guilty reapplying. 9/10. Bravo, Lalique!

The instant I sampled Living Lalique, I had to buy a bottle. It's warm and approachable, but also sophisticated. The scent is masculine-leaning at first and could be unisex in my opinion (although my husband thinks it's not masculine enough for him). On me, this starts out as a lavender-bergamot scent, then becomes a woody iris-vetiver-vanilla as it dries down. It doesn't have the greatest longevity on skin, but it does last well on clothes and leaves a nice trail that I enjoy throughout my day. I love this so much I've made it my new signature, which is going to be difficult for me, because I think it's been discontinued. Find a bottle while you can!

What's with all the wood in modern fragrances? I'm really beginning to find it detracts from the scent especially the way perfumers seem to be heavy handed these days. No more is it just a touch of wood, now that seems to be the main component of a fragrance. It is not only with this scent. I found it happening with almost all the latest releases of Gucci, Calvin Klein, Yves Saint Laurent, and a lot of other brands. I'm really beginning to think that they are loading up on this cheap component to not have to use more expensive ingredients. I'm really getting tired of it already. If I wanted to smell like a man I would purchase men's cologne.

Well well, this fragrance is quite similar to J’ose by Eisenberg. Lavender, woods and spicy. I think that Living is much more elegant and refined. Totally unisex. I detect orris, a buttery orris. It’s soft, well blended, but not sharp or heavy. According to the trend about fragrances, Living is really far from usual feminine or unisex perfumes. Good materials. It has a confident and elegant mood. The bottle is wonderful. But it’s Lalique, and this is its signature.
