Love at first sniff. I must try it again. This is my favourite and the best IMO from the top line of Lalique. It reminds me christmass. Totally unisex, cozy, warm and uplifting, spicy sweet, but not overly sweet. Suitable for cool weather, fall, winter and cool spring days, day and night. This is not a new smell for me. It reminds me various warm spicy scents but nothing in particular. The only scent which is slightly close to it is Dolce&Gabbana Dolce&Gabbana Pour Homme because of the tobacco note but they are NOT similar scents. They develop differently and they smell differently. After some time it feels semi-gourmand but never turns into pure gourmand. Dominant notes are tobacco (omg beautiful), coffee, semi-sweet vanilla, tolu balsam, nutmeg. There is also mild patchouli, mild cardamom and black pepper. Violet (or something like violet, I don't get clear violet note but something floral) is faint and bergamot is very mild at the background. Overall it is very well blended, safe and easy wearable but it does not smell unique. If I couldn't see the bottle I'd say it may be a top offering from Guerlain or Dior house. Quality is obvious. A casual warm spicy scent for cold weather with noce performance. Sillage is moderate. Projection is heavy for the first minutes then it turns moderate but most of its life is soft. Longevity is long lasting. The quality of the bottle and the golden die is very average for its pruce point. It retails here for 435 usd per 100 ml. Edit There is cinnamon, rum, cherry and maybe almonds. EDIT Just to feel the vibe from this Lalique, some scents in the same team. I own the Ideal so the next days I'll do some full wearings with this Lalique to determine if it is redundant to own both of them. Moreover I'll do a test side by side with Tardes which is also very close with Or Intemporel. Update Side by side test with its similar scents Carner Barcelona Tardes Guerlain L’Homme Ideal Eau de Parfum Guerlain L’Homme Ideal And I added Frapin 1270 There's a common vibe in all of them but but they are different enough to own all or some of them. Or Intemporel somehow feels like a flanker of Tardes and Ideal. It's different smell with structural similarities. The big difference is its great longevity and its sparkling spiceness. It's full of colors, vivid, bright and cozy, warm and totally unisex. Update Today I bought it. First impressions of the presentation are very nice at least when you see it from a distance. There's a hard black glossy plastic case (like Kilian) and a hard paper box for the bottle. The quality of the materials especially from the bottle is very average though.. totally unaxceptable for its price range. The scent is neautiful so no complains here. They should improve the presentation and the bottle though..

Cardamom and black pepper make a curious pair; though both are spices, they strike the nose with a metallic chill, as if their warmth had been stripped away and replaced by the glint of steel. Through this cold, austere curtain, tobacco breaks forth, broad-shouldered and confident, softening the angles, warming the air, and lending flesh and colour to a composition already animated by the light, hovering aura of coffee and the discreet oriental shimmer of nutmeg. I perceive, scattered across this bewildering brew, a few sun-dried berries, like forgotten jewels, and even, in a fleeting mirage, a breath of shimmering silver ragwort—impossible apparition, no doubt, yet one the imagination insists upon. This gold is rhodium-plated: it lacks the familiar warmth and opulence of its yellow brother; it is withdrawn, almost distant, aristocratic and wrapped up in itself, contemplating its own reflection. In spite of its generous cargo of spices, “Or Intemporel” steps forward with a fresh, airy bearing, unencumbered by the usual heaviness or cloying embrace by which such notes so often stake their claim. Here, vanilla is held in check and brought to heel by tolu balsam; its sweetness is dressed in a rather stiff tailcoat of resin, with starched batiste at the throat, so that one feels obliged to straighten one’s back, to weigh each gesture, to choose one’s words carefully in its presence. The perfume itself would tolerate no slouching, not even in a single fleeting exhalation. This gold is timeless in truth, for it is neither so simple as to lapse into primitivism, nor so adorned as to tumble into the bourgeois excess that borders on vulgarity. It owes its superiority to nothing but itself: well-polished and consistent, with clear, flowing lines and a perfectly laconic, classical execution that refuses both rhetoric and ornament. Upon the skin, the scent warms with an elegant slowness, yet never loses its singular profile or its curious, slightly paradoxical expression. It is perfectly unisex, at ease in the strict geometry of the office as in the soft confusion of salons and soirées, adjusting itself with equal propriety to business and social encounters. “Or Intemporel” recalls the contradictory ambitions of the Third Republic, raised upon the foundations of the Second Empire: a regime whose statesmen, still largely of aristocratic blood, dreamed of democracy and liberty in words tempered by instinctive conservatism. Their ideals, lofty yet constrained, opened the doors just wide enough to admit the winds of change and, with them, the storms of popular discontent that would, for decades, remake France—patiently, violently, and beyond their control.

Finally managed an elusive visit (not exclusive!) to the pretty and lacquered Boutique in central London. This was surprisingly the only bottle from the exclusive line on display - but maybe not so surprisingly. I had just sampled the much vaunted Bullion by Byredo and absolutely laid into it with all the bitter disappointment that scent gave me in a previous review so was really fearing for my efforts on this one. A 1st nervy spray yielded - goodness! Unlike the awful Bullion, this started off just how I like them; sweet, smooth and slightly spicy. I'm not sure about coffee but it appeared to be a sweet liqueur of slightly syrupy vanilla, a touch of seasonal nutmeg and something between cocoa and treacle. Delightful! The Quality was unprecedented and the blend was pure, yet bold but not choking, or powdery. This alone makes it worth it's £200 pricing for a 100ml. Not to mention how uniquely beautiful the bottle is. 0 marks for that though; the money is in the juice. Later, I am getting hints of wood and what maybe coffee, or just more cocoa. More nice stuff basically. Rich and comforting oriental - one of the the most well-rounded and cosy you'll find out there. The scent is unbelievably safe and wearable. I was overjoyed to find indeed no trace of violets or orange or other boring 'designer-y' notes in here. No animalic oud, over-extortionate booze or other Niches nasties either, not a trace of them. Vanillic amber and definite cocoa follow in the drydown. So, it has impressed for sure, and for some it will sure be bottleworthy. Just falls short due to a lack of something that extra-special maybe. Ethereally wonderful, maybe some special woody-musk drydown to give it that rewarding backbone or base. Plus the lack of the stronger hit of coffee - this was the main real let down for me. I would have given this a straight 10 if it had at least the vibe of the punchy initial coffee note in Montale's Intense Cafe in part but sadly the coffee is a hard-sell here, it's either really good at playing invisible or just not there at all. Disappointing! They should have swapped the places of the cardamom and coffee in the note pyramid. I would have loved to see some of the awe-inspiring blonde tobacco you can find in SDV. Also, the redcurrant note from that Masterpiece is missing here, as are any hints of red fruits. It's also more upfront, even though you are getting more. If you love these after sampling and have the crazy money, get both! For now, it has to be SDV for me sadly. But on it running out, I'll have my eye on this. My rating: 8/10

I had not intended to review this fragrance because until today, I had very little reaction to it. But today, I wore it for the first time in hot, humid weather and Or Intemporel showed me a depth and smoothness I have not experienced in it before. This is a gourmand fragrance, as is detailed in the reviews before this one. But it is also a lovely sweet tobacco fragrance. And a rich spiced coffee fragrance. In the fullness of time, because I am still getting wafts of it more than 18 hours after I sprayed it on, it is an amber/vanilla fragrance. This fragrance is beautifully blended and fairly linear. In warmer temperatures, it is so rich and complex that it unfolds in wave upon wave of rich spices, coffee, tobacco and amber. These notes intertwine seamlessly at times and then at odd moments one of them will step out to show itself clearly against the mixed background of the other notes before dropping smoothly back into the melange. In the cooler weather conditions in which I have worn this scent, it has shown the elements described above, but nothing like the depth and complexity it revealed in today's humid heat. There is a very short, discordant bergamot note in the very early moments after application. It doesn't work well with the rest of the fragrance. It lowers my rating to a like. In its absence, this would have been a love. Even though the tobacco here is a masculine-identified note, this fragrance is unisex. While the projection is moderate, overspraying can choke the wearer. The warmer the environment, the more cloying the scent can get. Apply wisely. A final note about the presentation: it is extremely luxurious. The bottle is gorgeous. The box is a lacquer-like, hard sided affair. The cap is as nice as the bottle. The atomizer is also my the best and the inner box is housed in a richly printed cardboard outer package. Seeing this presentation, one is reminded that Lalique is the maker of some of the finest fragrance bottles ever produced. This fragrance is very expensive at retail, but it turns up heavily discounted from time to time at reputable outlets. Definitely worth testing for folks who enjoy gourmands, tobacco scents or both and well worth considering at discounted prices if you can locate it.

This is a gem. A hidden one. Don't get fooled by the Vanilla=gourmand association, as this is NOT a gourmand. This is an oriental, 100% the classical way, loaded with spices and,for a change, without any oud! (Tbh i am a little fed up with oud everywhere, athough I love the note).. Or Intemporel is a luxury perfume, warm, balsamic, round and cuddly like a cashmere blanket. For winter wear and to apply with a light hand, as it is potent. It screams TOLU! If you love this note, go for it. It reminds me a lot of Tolu by Ormonde Jayne (this one being fresher and more feminine), and Guerlain Tonka Imperiale. A little bit of Hermes Ambre Narguilé. You see what i mean. Besides Tolu, you can feel vanilla and cardamom, tobacco in the background no coffee at all, but incense can be sensed. The packaging is to die for: the lovely bottle is housed in a big, heavy black laquered box lined in velvet. A very luxurious gift if you will.

Sometimes it's hard to know with a spicy oriental perfume as to whether or not it will be too masculine for my taste. While I'm not looking for candy and fruit in these profiles, at times a strong tobacco or spice can be overwhelming or linger too long. Here I find that, once again, Lalique surpasses my expectations. This is an exceptionally well blended scent that opens with a delicate spice backed almost immediately by a soft tobacco, sweetened by the violet. I can't really detect a coffee note but as it settles into the base, it becomes a creamy and powdery vanilla, the patchouli so lightly applied it doesn't overwhelm but rather adds a bit of complexity to the accord. This has an overall sweet and delicious amber-like quality. I work from home so I spray as often as needed, happily luxuriating in this incredible scent. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful gourmand!! This is a very well blended fragrance! From the note breakdown feels very thick and overwhelming but it's nothing like that. This is all about the vanilla, the balsam, the nutmeg with an undertone of tobacco, coffe and cardamon, i also for some reason get a minty freshness. The performance is moderate, I get 6-8 longevity and moderate projection but i am good with that. This is a fall and winter scent and could be a signature cold weather scent. Also, this is totally unisex like most of gourmands. Overall, this is to me a niche fragrance, it has the depth and the quality! Before some months i could find it for less than 100 euros and it was a steal, now it's over than 200 euros... If you are a fan of gourmands this is a must try!

The opening is as good as any fragrance I've tried. Along the way I get a touch of the spicy powdery cola from Luna Rossa Extreme and similarities to L'homme Ideal EDP, but smoother and more balanced. Loud projection for me for about an hour, then more moderate/intimate. To my nose it becomes almost non-existent on my skin, but I can still smell it and it follows me around all day. Smells like a quality fragrance, if not overly original in the drydown. Worth the price from discounters. I would not wear this in a warm climate. Autumn and winter fragrance through and through.

Fantastic, high quality oriental spicy scent. Vanilla forward, but not cloying or overly sweet. Reminds me of Bois d'Armenie from Guerlain. Absolutely top notch stuff. Longevity on this is solid, but it does have moderate projection after a couple of hours. Seems to be completely under the radar for some reason.. Was gifted mine from a friend, or I would never have had the opportunity to try it out. It's available from some discounters at absolute firesale prices.

Smells good... I think. sadly the sillage is non existant. Up close smells like an absolute spice explosion that's is even a bit too spicy maybe, but like 5 inches from the skin you smell hardly anything, kinda creamy and spicy but very weak. So sad, so low projection and worst sillage of almost all my perfumes and one of the most expensive. Only someone giving you a very close skin-to-skin hug would smell it.

Lovely spicy aromatic tobacco scent with a hint of coffee and vanilla. It's a beautiful take on tobacco. Unlike every tobacco scent in the market being sweet and/or vanilla bomb, this is more about spicy tobacco. The great combination of warm and fresh spices make it very easy to wear. Longevity is above average and silage is about average. One of my most favorite tobacco frags to date.

A LOVE For the very first time I like a vanilla dominated fragrance. I especially sense the vanilla, tobacco, tolu balsam and nutmeg. A gourmand (but not overly gourmand) fragrance. Truly unisex. Recommended. 8.5/10 Edit: I think The Different Company - Majaĩna Sin is a great vanilla-centric perfume too.

A spice BOMB! In a good way, though. It's absolutely gorgeous and so well blended. I didn't pick up the coffee note but who cares, this is so nice! Smooth and mouth-watering. If you want to stand out in a room and leave a mile long sillage this one is one is you. One or two sprays is all it takes. 9/10

Reminiscent of Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, only smoother and less sweet, and with coffee and nutmeg notes added. One of the most realistic tobacco notes I've experienced. Smells elegant and refined. Comes in a nice lacquered wooden display box, too.

Wow...this is amazingly smooth! If you like tobacco/vanilla, this is for you. Very rich and resinous. Another gourmand winter banger. Found this on ebay for half the going rate. Nice!

Dry down it very warm and smooth, creamy, sweet. I detect no patchouli. A well blended treasure. Review of full bottle blind-buy. A rare success!

A lovely sweet and tobacco, smokey smell. This may be my favorite fragrance of all time. I have a backup bottle.

This is very much a gourmand, centered around the note of vanilla. It opens up with a very airy and spicy but also smooth vanilla, tobacco, nutmeg and black pepper combo. Very very plesant, with a specialy intense nutmeg. This combo gives off a slightly sexual dirty characteristic, in a classy way. Nothing animalic. But like everything good, it doesn't last long. After the 1 hour mark, it gets more powdery (which I'm not very into) and the spicy goodness dissipates, leaving a tobaccoey vanilla with a very light coffee undertone. And that's pretty much it until the end of the fragrance's life. I wish I could also smell the violet note which is marketed, but I don't get any traces of it, which is a shame. The quality is definitely niche tier, which is consistent with every Lalique release, specially from the Noir Premier line. Specially during the opening, the notes are very realistic smelling, and presents itself from beginning to end in a smooth and rouded way without any sharp edges. Overall, I really like it. And so will you if you love vanilla, specially if you can stand powdery scents. Also, if you can buy it for less than 100€, it's so worth it.

Great opening...beautiful, gorgeous and spicy opening..it is just supper amazing. oh man, never ever experienced such a beautiful and mind blowing opening...you find your self sitting in front of Royal Indian kitchen whiffing the elegant tones of vintage but superior spices with some modern and sparkling freshness, all ahead of some dark back ground. Cardamom seems the leader of the voyage but unfortunately this hypnotic journey ends up very soon into dark and bit boozy dry down. Vanilla tries to maintain the journey shining in combination of Coffey, without which the dry down would have been much similar to the dry down of Black Afgano imo. Any how nothing very special in dry down. Opening earns 20/10 but remains only for few minutes (very unfortunate). longevity is good and silage is moderate. I got full bottle from Paris Gallery in Makkah (SA) but the finish of golden surface is very bad. (May it be fake???)...

Balsamic, sweet and spicy tobacco-and-patchouli scent. At first it's mostly spicy, then all the other notes join in and blend together, and when it dries down it's a powdery, ambery vanilla. 100% a wintertime fragrance. It's quite heavy, so be careful not to overspray. The scent profile itself is absolutely unisex, however it's not easy to come up with a good occasion to wear this - it's not exactly an everyday scent, and smells a bit too niche and strong to wear to a more formal event as well. This smells like the color gold, or like opening a treasure chest full of Middle Eastern gifts and rarities.

This is a linear but great tobacco fragrance. The dry tobacco note is beautiful, and the supporting coffee, balsamic and vanilla notes are clearly noticeable (the vanilla is even a little too forward for my taste). A very realistic impression of a cigar box. Not my favourite scent, but I can tell it's complex, niche quality, and performs decently (even if I hoped for a little better). It's the well behaved younger sibling of Lutens Fumerie Turque, without animalistic notes, what TF Tobacco Vanille would have been without the pressure to sell. A must for tobacco lover! Tobacco and Tolu Blasam. Powdery tobacco with a slight ambery sweetness. Soft, slightly woody, a little dusty, with the aforementioned sweetness. No detectable coffee at the drydown. Barely some at the opening. Disappointed, as to me the tobacco/coffee mix was what intrigued me. Easy and likeable. Might be too powdery for some. While not a copy, it reminds me of Tom Ford Tobacco Oud, but less bitter and more powdery. Or Intemporel is the more mass-appealing of the two. Cool weather wear. The softly-woody tobacco leans it masculine. "Like".

I’ve just sprayed a sample of this without looking at the notes it’s a powdery bomb - like palmer violets (the sweets). Sweet tobacco that gets smokier in the dry down. Very pleasant but it’s not a loud or projecting scent. A mature scent, to me it leans more feminine but I can imagine it’d smell so good on a man. I’d rate it 6.9/10

top notes: spicy, smokey, vanilla, light middle notes: masculine notes more prominent with citrus and cinnamon, smokey vanilla base notes: allittle stinky smokey vanilla but interesting overall very interesting fragrance. Can definitely enjoy it in a particular mood. Good performance and interesting fragrance. 8.5/10

Can a fragrance be both masculine and gourmand? After the overwhelming first couple seconds, sprayed on paper, the mix of spices with vanilla and coffee is delicious- not sugary but very indulgent, and the tobacco adds a certain manliness to the fragrance. I'll probably wear it occasionally, too, of course!

Or Intemporel has perhaps the best opening I've ever smelled. The nutmeg and cardamom works perfectly together, creating a warm, cozy scent. The black pepper, reminiscent of the one in spicebomb extreme, adds that little edge to it that it needs. The dry down is good, but not the same as the opening.

This is a fragrance of vanilla-flavored bourbon tobacco, which echoes some Guerlains but which becomes greedy, bordering on chewable, wirh a base of tolu balm and chocolaty patchouli. The appetizer is spicy loaded with nutmeg, cardamom, but quickly becomes sweet, powdery, silky, comforting. Although with different notes, I get a tobacco vibe, from a warm, sweet liqueur and a talc that remotely reminded me of Bvlgari Black. Whith a more intimate, gourmand and almondy way. A sexy cuddle but with a powdery, rather boring finish of vanilla violets.

We were three people testing it out and we all got nauseous. I tried it another day and felt the same. Have no clue what ingredient that caused this, but it was impossible to wear.

The spices overwhelm the resinous tobacco and vanilla. There is no coffee scent.

I've had this almost two weeks now and I've spent some time with it. While I don't think I have enough time with it to give a completely detailed review, I enjoy this WAY TOO MUCH not to go ahead and give what positive information I can thus far. First off, I think it opens up ever so slightly on the masculine side of things, but once the spices die down about five to ten minutes in, it settles in completely unisex and rides the line right up through the dry-down. While I do see sweetness from the vanilla, the other notes easily keep this from veering into gourmand territory for me personally. But this stuff is all the better because it isn't so sickeningly, sacarine sweet as many releases are these days. The Tolu-balsam, coffee and tobacco keep this one from going that route while also adding a very, very beautiful dry-like feel to the fragrance that along with the very powdery form of violet used, give the fragrance an almost doughy feel in its texture. The only way I can try to explain it would be to take Dior Homme Parfum, remove the rose and replace it with a powdery violet note, take the iris note and drastically decrease it's waxy texture and ramp up it's powdered texture, and then smooth out the leather and oud until it is much more of a buttery smooth suede note and add a touch of coffee, and the spice in the opening is handled by the pepper. Such a truly magnificent specimen of a top tier luxury fragrance executed to perfection. And the packaging for this line of Lalique fragrances are easily the most beautiful and elegant I have seen so far. I'd definitely try to get your hands on it and try it out if possible. I highly doubt you'll regret it!!!

What a beautiful monster this is, if only it's bite matched it's bark. Begins very promising and heady, with a resinous boozy brick wall, taunting you and promising to keep you captive. #notmygrayson At first sniff I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt this would be a full bottle purchase. At an hour in, I knew it wouldn't be. The scent fades to a much more generic shrug then a posturing roar and the projection drops to a candle flicker from a spotlight. Utter. Disappointment. At Tom Ford prices for this bottle, I will gladly acquire another bottle of Tobacco Oud and forget this ever existed. What a shame. Scent: 8/10 until 1-2 hour mark, then 5/10 Projection: 7/10 for an hour at best (more like 30 minutes), then a rapid decline to 3/10 Sillage: 5/10, after less then an hour, virtually none. Longevity: lasts a good 4-6 hours on skin and clothes but only at point blank range. Would i buy a full bottle? No.

a boozy one , perfect for cold nights in winter . The first notes are some of a very spicy tobacco ( something like "Zino" Davidoff), it shines at this moment there , but very fast it is tinted with the darker notes of coffee, and thoses of a shy black chocolate without any impressions of sugar. The patchouli is there, in ambush, to give the earthy side of Zino ( but Zino is less boozy, much more patchouli & in your face). If you like the "ambers", warm perfumes , patchoulis not too earthy, the cozy ones with a slice of vanilla , you will probably like it . It's in the same vein as "Costume National Homme" , "Bentley for Men Intense" to give an idea on the overall, but much less punchy , there 's a note of vanilla that makes it sweeter, lighter.

Wearing this today. Have worn it a few times as I didn't want to make claims that weren't accurate but this is really weak on me. I don't know if it's just my nose but this comes across like a really shy version of Laudano Nero by Tiziana Tirenzi. It has a faint raspberry ripple type aura about it but does not seem to project much at all. The fact I'm not getting much projection from it makes me slightly reluctant to try others from the line. I'd expect the higher end lines to be big performers but this one seems really tame to my nose. Bottle is over a year old too so no maceration issues I don't think

An absolute stunner. A previous commenter really hit the nail on the head-- the initial blast of nutmeg and cardamom is the best part, just toe-curlingly beautiful, then it dies down to a rich, complex blend of toasted marshmallow and dark vanilla that's never overly sweet. Literally the only thing stopping me from buying a zillion bottles, pouring them into an olympic size swimming pool, and doing laps in it all day, is the performance. Waaay too subtle and brief for my liking. Oh well, I like it so much I'll happily reapply.

This is a great vanillic, smoky, resinous fragrance that smells like a serge lutens. I would also liken to the xerjoff torino, the OG torino, not the blue bottle mystery fragrances. Torino but without the citrus top notes. Almost no detectable citruses in this "Or Intemporel". Coffee, tobacco, patchouli? Not so much of that, either. The nutmeg, yes, but mainly a vanilla with smoke

A boozy chocolate. The vanilla, mild coffee, and balsamic nutmeg are creating that boozy chocolate factor. This is identical to "Pirates' Grand Reserve" by Atkinsons, and i believe Atkinsons got inspired by this one here. Captivating & impressive.

This is similar to Gentleman Givenchy eau de parfum, but a bit more grown up. I also get a liqueur feel here which is different from Givenchy. It reminds me of Bailey's Irish Cream. Very smooth, soft and refined. Great scent.

It's bugging me what this reminds me of! Valentino Oud? The signature tobacco note used by Amouage? Either way, I'm loving it! I think this and the Fleur Universelle are the best of this range.

لا تنخدعوا بالنوتات الموجودة في هذا العطر الافتتاحية سويت ومن ثم ينتقل العطر الى تشابه مع عطر اكسنتو من سيرجوف والعطر عادي جدا وما يستاهل السعر المبالغ فيه

Smells exactly like Aramis Tobacco Reserve. Exactly, with Aramis being louder. Go for Aramis if you can still find it, unless you fancy the box.

It has some weird lactone smells maybe the tolu balsam (not sure), that make it smell amateurish compared to the other ones of this line.

I don't know... I loved old laliques like Ancre Noir and la parfum, this new edition is ok but I won't be buying any I think...

Dustier + toned down + softer version of grand soir !! I actually love it !
