Lancetti Uomo

Oh my lord! There are so many amazing people posting thoughtful comments and reviews about all these fragrances new/old. My ADD just will not allow me to devote that sort of energy toward any one thing. But here’s the gist... (Melting into the floor) This is some sweet ass juice! It’s like the Arthur Fanzerelli and Sunny Corleone’s illegitimate love child. It is really criminal that this fragrance isn’t still in production and that it’s nearly impossible to find. I urge anyone with a bottle or partial to please contact me. This could be signature scent worthy if I believe in those. Anise is a big player here, as is the leather, patchouli and oakmoss. This is the type of masculine fragrance that you keep smelling and overspraying because it just brings you sheer joy. But you also want to conserve and never wear it because you know it’ll be gone some day soon. I hope all you vintage lovers can at least smell this. The rise up and revolt to bring...it...back!! A rather obscure early release from Lancetti, this one follows the trend of heavy woody, spicy aromatics of the era, and it is especially robust in wear, with all manner of bracing herbs similar to Yatagan and a contrasting jasmine heart reminiscent of that in Devin. This is underlined by a sticky styrax-castoreum-labadnum, oily leather and oakmoss (naturally). Typical, yet still absolutely delicious. Its scarcity may arguably make it non-essential, but it can't be denied that this knockout is worth it if discovered for a good price.

Very, very heavy woods and leather fragrance. Like Yatagan, I find this interesting, but hard to wear. Very complex and extremely potent. I have the edt, but they also brought out an edp !!! I can't imagine what that is like. The edt is already very heavy hitting. It's personally my favourite Lancetti perfume. Be careful with the trigger and spray on forearm rather than neck !

No review in English for it, do not know why, probably it is kinda old and was not too well known back then. Only in Italy, where you can still find it at good prices, spray versions not afteshaves. As it goes for the fragrance...very old smell in the first hour, so 80's like.... it will definitely be marked as an old men smell by others...but after that, after an hour or so, it really is amazing, i like it very much. The scent that remains on shirt and yourself, really worth it...it becomes very inofensive, very updated, and has a solid character...When i wore it, after some time i really felt a very good scent around me, but i wasnt sure it was Uomo, because of the first not so good impressions....but it was, in all its glory. You just have to be patient with it, at least for the first hour. P.S. it is a very oily fragrance.
