Tried it today...Well, it's different,not the one I've met 30 years ago. There's no fresh sparkle in the opening,though drydown is quite similar to the original version.The bottle of 75 ml of pure perfume is enormous,but I wouldn't mind to get 1/2 fl.oz in memoriam

What an amazing fragrance...still remember the original, hope Lancome didn t ruined this beautiful wind of scents! Can't wait to sniff it and also hope the price will not be a disappointment.

It was the time back in USSR when there were only a handful of "real french perfumes" on the market. Magie noire was one of them. For older Russian women it is a symbol of luxury. They loved it because they did not have much choice. Yes, it is crazy popular in Russia. Tons of fakes were sold in the past decades. People have nostalgia. I am glad they relaunched it. Many people will be happy to have it even if it does not smell the same anymore. I bought vintage edt on ebay. I love it but I do not crave it badly and won't spent hundreds on full size vintage. I am too young, for me it is just another great frag, not the legend. Sold my mini.
