Figues & Agrumes

In the very green opening, I get the smell of crushed leaves and citruses (lemons and/or limes). The citruses include the whole fruit with rind because while the note is tart as you would expect, there is also a slightly bitter touch from what I imagine to be the rind and the sap from the crushed leaves. I have never tried figs so I am not sure what it smells or tastes like and I can't really pick up any fruity notes other than the citruses. The strong green note mellows over time letting the jasmine finally peek through. The scent settles into my skin as a fresh, moderately green, citrusy, floral and to my nose, there is nothing sweet about this scent. Longevity is great 8-10 hrs and sillage is moderate. It's very different from the type of fragrances I normally gravitate towards and I really like the dry down. This is also, IMO, the most unisex fragrance I have tried from this line so far. Edit - I've now worn this fragrance for a while and feel like I have gotten to know it better. I get a powdery, woody notes with a clean freshness in the dry down along with a tiny bit of jasmine from the mid but the citrusy green-ness from the opening is what lasts throughout, mellowing over time and that's this fragrance in a nutshell! I really do like it and think its one of the more interesting ones from the line.

So yea, currently in my fig era, so I have been blind buying a lot of older fig scents. This one. This is an absolute beauty. I get a green fig leaf and a ripe fig smell without being “sweet” if that makes sense. Done perfumes are cloying/nauseatingly sweet, this is not that perfume. This perfume is fresh, just picked off the tree, with green stem still attached. I don’t get the citrus, I get the fresh. I don’t get the sorbet, I get the cold crisp scent. The jasmine is in the background. It rounds out the fig tree experience without becoming floral, and while there are no blonde woods listed, on the dry down I get a more warm woody bark fragrance from the fig tree. This perfume pyramid may be simple, but the perfume is far from linear or simple. I got this on the gray market and only paid around 145 for it. Before it’s completely gone, I’ll be buying another bottle, just in case! Absolute beautiful summer scent! ❤️

This underrated beauty 😍 I’m pleasantly Surprised -taken aback if you will- by it’s Beauty. I gave up on blind buying this line After Jazmin Marzapan failed me (it’s lovely but I had high hopes. It’s The Quintessential perfume for me *and so it seemed* from The notes). Well technically I do not like fig smell nor do I want to smell like a fig; I want to smell like a Jasmin marzipan ball 😄. Well lo & behold Initial blast: dry fig. after 2-3 seconds damp and Musky. Then The FLOWERS come out, ooh! 🤤 The drydown is this beautiful skinscent-a bit orange blossom-y and a touch of screechy stabilized by a creaminess and of course The musky-ness is still a tad bit showing. Can be a wedding day scent (as a guest - not exuberant enough for a bride - it’s polite and nearing inconspicuous - secretly gorgeous). It’s office appropriate - better for days and summers ☀️. In evenings or winters I’d imagine it to just disappear.

Purchased a couple of 30ml bottles of this early winter this year and now in summer it’s really come alive. It was pleasant in winter. I got more of the bitter greens and citrus rind soaked in sorbet effect then which was really still lovely to my nose but now the citruses and sorbet have opened up in a glorious way like light through amber. They glow. Not overly sweet. Just like when you slurp up the melted residue of lemon/lime sorbet in a cup on a hot summers day. Mildly bitter to counteract the sweet/sour effect. It’s refreshing. The floralcy is supporting and gives a depth and plushness almost a fluffy airiness. Really beautiful. I still want to get a 100ml bottle as it’s stunning. The small bottles don’t do it justice. It’s a love for me.

Figues et Agrumes is the essence of rural Mediterranean when the sun starts burning hotter and the days getting longer. This is not cultivated gardens, this is jasmine and honeysuckle climbing fences, fig trees growing wild, herbs hanged to dry by big rusted nails; the odd lemon tree in almost every yard, basil in ceramic pots... Figues et Agrumes takes us there, dazed by the heat, inhaling the scent of magical summers, keeping our eyes half closed while our face is washed first by the sun, later to be kissed by moon light...

I've had this fragrance for ever an I love it. I do have to be in the mood for it though...strongly I got beach by bobbi brown I always wanted to try it but just recently got around to it...Jasmine bomb I wish it was more beachy idk. But I recognized instantly the smell but couldn't place it... it's smells like this!!! The Jasmine notes is the same and it's the majority only in this one you get creamy fig instead of cool aquatic notes but they are def 95%-90%similar!

On hot days I get more jasmine and sweetness - something about the combination of notes makes me think of "aromatic coconut ice cream"; and in cooler temperature the citrus, neroli and green fig leaves are more pronounced. It lasts a very long time without tons of screechy musks in the base typical of the genre. One spray on each arm around 9PM the night before and by 9AM next morning I still smell it mingling around me. I think this is great.

OMG what a beautiful 😍 creamy green fig fragrance. I like the Diptyque one to P but it's for green for my taste but this one ah its a dream fragrance its really is for me .Longevity and silage strooonnggg

What a perfect summer fragrance :) A musky, jasmine, citrus fig. I often find fig cloying and this is just a perfect refreshing execution.

It’s a fluffy cat named Fig, very complimentary, there are no analogues.

For some reason, this whole exclusive Lancôme Grands Crus line has looked spectacularly enticing to me ever since I first heard about it, and I've been dying to test it out. On top of that, fig and citrus are probably my favourite note categories in all of perfumery. So it's an understatement to say I was excited to sample this one. Unfortunately, we all know that such sky-high expectations are rarely fulfilled, and it should come as no surprise that Figues & Agrumes failed to live up the hype I had built around it in my head. Don't get me wrong though, I still like it quite a lot. It's a good fruity fig that lasts all day, quite sweet, a little fresher in the opening (which is the only part where the citrus is noticeable to my nose) and then headier later one when the jasmine is making its influence known (although I can't discern it as a separate note). The fact that I'm not falling head over heels in love with it is due to two factors. First, it reminds me ever so slightly of my least favourite fig scent ever, Thierry Mugler's Womanity. They don't really smell alike, and luckily this one definitely doesn't have that salty/fishy accord, but the fig is done in rather the same way, sweet to the point of being slightly overripe, a little overwhelming and just not really to my taste. Second, I can't help but compare it to my good old favourite from the "fruity fig" category, Roger & Gallet's Fleur de Figuier, and finding this one lacking. I'm sure it's more complex, but R&G's version smells so much more delicious to me, and at a fraction of the price as well. So I guess the main conclusion about Figues & Agrumes is that it made me appreciate my Fleur de Figuier even more than I already did - disappointing, but not a bad result when I think about it, especially for my wallet. I'm still looking forward to testing the rest of the Grand Crus, but I'll try to keep my expectations in check next time.

Today I received this really interesting perfume. The 30ml bottle is small, doesn't look like the Fragrantica photo, bag type. It definitely surprised me! I was expecting citrus, sorbet and something creamy, a little fig - I was imagining a summer and light party perfume. Nothing of the kind! The fragrance does not suggest a beach at all, but rather an official event. It starts with woody fig, it stays dense, formal, expensive. Light citrus flutters in the back to refresh the formula, the sweetness is very light, hinted at. As it lingers a little longer, the citrus becomes more dominant, but it's not juicy, it stays dry. I would say that the perfume is a bit reminiscent of a combination of Santal Blanc by Van Cleef and Arpels and a few drops of Sacharien by Yves Saint Laurent, but it' s better than both. It smells luxurious, it surprised me, but I will wear it with pleasure!

First impressions, this is a beachy, creamy, coconuty fig. Woody enough to ground, but not overwhelm. A friendly sandalwood? It is very sweet and a bit soapy, but still a bearable amount. It almost reminds me of coconut sunscreen, but there is enough freshness to save it. I also love Diptyque’s Philyskos, but I am glad this is nothing like that photorealistic, green fig, since I already have it. This is also well blended, just in a more complex way. I love green perfumes, but this is not that green to me as the sweet and creamy dominates the fig. I catch whiffs every now and then. This is worth a 1oz bottle for occasional indulgence, but I would not full size to the big one. Cute for the beach or some other daytime escapade under the sun.

Opening is fresh, citrusy and light. The fig is definitely there, a bit green, but not as green and realistic as, let’s say, Diptique’s Philosykos. The jasmine definitely keeps it from going there and the citrus gives it another dimension. The jasmine to me is as prominent as the fig and gives it it’s crowd-pleasing manner. The mid on my skin has a little pepper for some reason. In the back of my head, I keep thinking it reminds me of a citrus tea. I definitely could wear this in the office, it’s not an offensive scent. Not fbw for me though, it’s not as unique as Philosykos, but could see this potentially having mass appeal.

This is a hidden gem from this line and I haven't heard many people talk about it. It is a sweet delicious uplifting fig scent that just instantly put a smile on your face. It opens with a lush of greenness followed by the creamy coconuty facet of fig.The fig+citrus combo reminds me of being on a luxurious vacation in the Mediterranean. Similar to Figuier Ardent by Atelier Cologne but that one is more woody and this one is gourmand. The fig here is quite ripe and there's a lemon sorbet undertone that makes it even more edible.

I’m surprised no one has said how similar (almost identical) Pearl by Mancera is to this! And for only a fraction of a price (I bought mine for ~$65). This smells really cute and fresh, but for the price I’d rather just buy a dupe with minimal/negligible differences, I mean Pearl does has fig and jasmine, which are the main notes you smell on both. The main difference is that Fig&Agrumes has more of a soapy/powdery dry down, where Pearl remains the same for a while until the jasmine becomes the center of attention.

Opens with a green, sappy fruit; drying down warm, softly sweet and clean-cozy. Very smoothly blended so the transitions between top, mid, and base are seamless. The overall impression is a freshly-cleaned cottage kitchen, warm from the sun on the floor. The back door is open to air out, you can smell the fruit and flowers out in the garden. I really like it, but not enough to spend money on more than the occasional decant. Projection and sillage are high end of moderate, longevity is good at 6h.

Fig and fig leaf are some of my favorite notes, and I own many fig centric perfumes. I’ve been interested in testing Figues & Agrumes when it came out a few years ago, but today was my first chance. The citrus and fig opening was promising, if Figues & Agrumes had stayed linear, with that opening scent, I would’ve loved it. Unfortunately as soon as the citrus faded, the scent became too floral sweet. I still liked it, but the fig was less pronounced. So a like, but not a great love.

The more I test from this now deceased collection, the more I love it. What a lovely fig fragrance, where it is not dialed up to 11, as in Philosykos and most other fig-centered perfumes. Yes, the fig is the main star of this, but it is somehow creamy, beautifully framed by jasmine and I think bergamot. Does get a little bit soapy about 1 hour in. Overall, a lovely, sunny spring fragrance. Refreshing, but not exactly a "freshie".

The scent is very nice but the longevity is kind of poor - about 3 hours at most in summer. It is a bit of a heavier fig, not so airy and light. It ́s a beautiful scent. Having tested a few fig scents lately, I am not sure which one I'd say is my favourite - Gris Charnel, Womanity or this one... They all have their pros and cons. I did buy a bottle of Womanity so perhaps that one wins :D
