La Nuit Trésor Vanille Noire

This LNT flanker is a unicorn in some countries, mine included. So I bought a 100 ml bottle of it from a foreign site, just like I did with a few other perfumes that I couldn't find in my country. And let me tell you, this flanker of LNT is well worth the wait! It is sinfully delicious, keeping the OG's fruity opening and gourmand depth, but with warm honey, oud that adds a dark, spicy side to the scent, and a scrumptious vanilla that has my eyes close in delight. This vanilla is the sensuous sister of the one in LVEB Vanille Nude. Between LVEB Vanille Nude and LNT Vanille Noire, the latter is the winner. It has more depth, better sillage, and, at least on me, it lasts longer. Now, is LNT Vanille Noire better than the OG LNT? Well, I think it depends on what your tastes are. To me, the Vanille Noire flanker is everything the OG is, and more. I had the OG in the 2015 formulation and enjoyed my 100 ml bottle to the last drop. But somehow I never bought it again after finishing it, as I felt it lacked something. That something is the sultry vanilla and honey in LNT Vanille Noire, rounding up the scent to perfection. In the end, I feel I should add that this perfume is exclusively for gourmand and vanilla lovers. It's like a sweet warm hug on cold wintry days.❄️☃️🎄❤️🔥

I love this!!!! It was a complete blind buy since it is impossible to get in the US. I ordered it off eBay from France. It took weeks to get here. And I was nervous because it was expensive, and I don't like oud. So many things could have gone wrong. But they didn't. It went so right. I don't get oud. I also don't really get leather. What I do get is the most glorious honey-rose. But not even a really cloying rose. Just luxury. Lancome used to sell the best lip balm in their Absolue line - Honey Rose. It's been discontinued and it's impossible to find. But La Nuit Tresor Vanille Noire definitely reminds me of it. It's a winner for me.

I love her. I might be slightly biased with this line because I find them utterly gorgeous - vanille noire is no exception. Like La Nuit Tresor, she has that beautiful sophisticated and warm oriental DNA. But the vanille and oud elevates to an incredibly sexy and seductive level - it's not sweeter or syrupy like the honey note would have you believe. The dry down sees a little more of a woody/earthy note come out to play, but always remains a soft oriental at it's core. I find this more intimate than LNT, but I'm not mad at that. All in all I give her an 9.0/10.

I am very confused with the evolution this perfume has had. I bought it about 2 months ago. I tested it in store and in the beggining it smelled like a deep rich vanilla, dark, sexy, very alluring. Lately I am only smelling the Tresor DNA (which I am not a fan of by the way) Has this happened to anyone? the perfume changing dramatically it ́s performance/notes? I am keeping the "love" rating until I figure out if this is a "climate" issue and it ́s changed because it ́s winter here. But if this remains exactly like this it will become a "dislike"

I love this whole line so my review might be a bit biased. I blind bought this after success from the OG la unit, a la folie and le Parfum. On first spritz I wasn't wowed because it is the og with oud. After two weeks of letting the perfume "rest" I picked it up and gave it another try. It's not that different imo, this is a bit softer which is odd with the oud. they are like sisters that look alike (duh it's a flanker). This is the younger sister, the OG is the middle and the Le Parfum is the eldest and mature sister.

I am bessoted with this. It smells like Parisian nights, it is sexy, arrogant & volatile. I smelled the original "La nuit trésor" and other 2 perfumes from the collection and I wasn't impressed at all. But this one...oh my oud! It is so luxurios, it is one of my favourite perfumes and I hate my terrible pH that makes every perfume unable to last more then 2 hours and have no sillage at all, such a cruel biology trick life played on me while there are perfumes like this out there.

I blind bought this one based on online reviews, and I love it. I am a big fan of vanilla perfumes, this one did not disappoint. I can definitely smell the leather in the opening too. Beautiful fragrance, well blended in my opinion. I love the simplicity of it. It’s moderate projection, and lasts forever on my skin. 10/10, I will use this one for special occasions.

An iconic addition to the Tresor line, strong opening with vanilla and a bit of synthetic Oud ( hard to agree on ) the vanilla will apple within few seconds with the opening, which gives it an identity and a character, dry down turns to be a but soft and light....settles beautifully of the skin, better performance on fabric Over all 9/10

It is so similar to La vie est belle L'Extrait but much more vanilla forward, less rose and less powdery, no patchouli. I am obsessed. This might become the vanilla of my dreams - seems that vanilla oud combo is a magical thing, very addictive 🥰😍🔥. If you like La vie est belle perfumes, especially L'Extrait, you will like this for sure.

This is so beautiful! I can pick up the OG dna but with a twist! There’s no coffee yet it’s still dark and sexy and I love it! Perfect for fall and winter sexy nights! Projection is amazing and lasts six hours at the minimum! The vanilla is not synthetic at all and not overpowering! It’s stunning!

Still has the dna of la nuit trésor, but in a dark, sweet and round manner. It’s quite long lasting but does not have a big sillage. Still I think it’s a good perfume for night and evening especially during autumn and winter. Its feminine leaning in my opinion, and it’s elegant.

I reject most vanilla perfumes on me as they are too sweet but this fragrance had a woody, powdery vibe that increases its sophistication and maturity. Sweet at first, but softens with a woody even slightly leathery vibe. Easily my favorite scent of recent releases.

Very confusing fragrance, the oud gives it a synthethic sour opening. (ruins it). But then comes the honeyd vanilla in the dry down, soft and loud which is beautiful.

WOW ❤️ I'm in love ❤️ This is amaaaaaazing!!!!

I received my bottle in the mail this week (News Parfums are awesome for their fast international shipping and availability of new releases). At first it reminds me of the original but it leans more vanilla, warmer, cozy. This gives me winter vibes and it has a powdery feel to it, reminiscent of the Intense flanker but also Kayali Vanilla Oud. I don't smell the honey in this, it's definitely not giving me JPG Scandal vibes. First impressions are good. I like this much more than last years release, Le Parfum, which I found to be sharp and unpleasant. Overall I think this sits towards the top in my ranking. The EDT is my favourite, followed by A La Folie, Intense and now Vanille Noire. The original amd Dentelle de Roses follow closely behind (more dat night fragrances so not as wearable for every day), then Fleur de Nuit, Musc Diamante (which is just too light, bit a great scent), with Nude and Le Parfum bringing up the rear. I really don't like those last 2.

In short terms, to me it smells like diluted rose petals dipped in honey on an oud board. The syrupy bourbon vanilla is present all the way through. In the opening, there is a demure rose that becomes more discrete afterwards. Soft oud comes in after a few minutes and gives the perfume a true density and character. This is not the common rose-oud-vanilla combo, as it's like 50% vanilla, 30% oud, and 20% rose, whereas usually it's more like 50% rose, 30% oud, and 20% vanilla. Surprisingly, it's not very heavy, and I do think that I will prefer it in the spring or summertime. Even though they don't smell alike AT ALL, Vanille Noire makes me think of a distant cousin of Lattafa Teriaq and Hypnotic Poison. For reference, I wore Hypnotic Poison all through high school, and I feel that Teriaq from Lattafa is a beautiful fragrance but not for me.

This is a true flanker - it has the recognizable La nuit base, but with vanilla and oud. It does what it says on the tin. The oud isn't too strong, as it sometimes can be, isn't in your face, but is giving it that little something in the background. The vanilla is the most noticeable note, fitting for the name. It's scrumptious. It lasted for a few hours easily. The similarity to the original can be viewed as both its strong point and its weakness - it is a great flanker (my pet peeve are 'flankers' that have nothing in common with the original scent except the name), but it might be too close to the base version to justify a purchase. But that's a personal decision. It is a good scent on its own.

Since when Europe needs oud in every single perfume??! Stop this 🤡

This sounded so promising, I blind bought it... expecting a dark, sultry vanilla bomb, dripping with the luscious gourmand goodness that made Trésor La Nuit famous. You spritz Vanille Noire on your wrist, lean in, and... where is it?! This could be rose-infused Evian. The original Trésor La Nuit is beast mode, seductive, call-the-police levels of intoxicating. So are the other flankers I own and love, but Vanille Noire? It whispers in your ear like an ASMR artist and then vanishes into the void. The promised vanilla? Maybe a single vanilla pod waved in the general direction of the bottle. The rose? Oh, it’s there - diluted to the strength of your third attempt at making a cup of tea with the same sad teabag. Longevity? A ghost. Projection? A rumour. Compliments? Only from people who enjoy subtle hints of regret. Lancôme, I love you, but this one? It’s like showing up to a rock concert and getting a bedtime lullaby instead. Hopefully it will develop a bit of strength as it warms up - this review is based on the very first spritz out of the icy cold bottle that was just delivered to my house. So far, though, this is La Nuit Homeopathic Edition.

On paper, it was a gorgeous vanilla that instantly tempted me. On skin, it’s mostly oud and leather. A bold gamble for Lancôme, as I don’t think the general public is particularly fond of oud. Personally, I can’t get into it; though I do pick up the vanilla and rose, they stay in the background, while my skin really amplifies the oud and leather. It’s not overly animalic, of course, but for me, it’s strong enough to keep me from wanting a bottle. Definitely one to test for yourself. P.S.: Since I like to know whether I’m imagining things or not, I checked Lancôme’s website, and yes, there is indeed leather in this fragrance.

Sweet like a little candy! Soft, comforting. Has body to it and a comforting quality you can also see in Absolutely Blooming from Dior does. I get some cute peachy facets, but I think this could also just be the honey. A bit generic, but I still really like it. However, I don't think I would buy this because of my mental association with Absolutely Blooming. I ADORED that perfume, but wore it for a long period of my late teens and early twenties, and I just feel like I need something new and something a bit more mature now that I'm older. This is my favorite from the la nuit tresor line though.

I love the color of the bottle... The vanilla goes to my prefrontal cortex..I'm enjoying this. The notes are so fresh..the oud is mixing so nice and stoping the vanilla from ''being to much''. Still can sense the original in the far without the acidic notes. If you wear a black blaser, nice watch and feel formal...this is also for you. Similar to dark velvet oud from bath and body works. Ah yeah...and the oud has alot of sweetness in it.. My bf says it smells bit like chocolate, I agree totally. Hint of Prada candy night detected

Hello my friends👋🫶 . I was expecting to try this perfume because of its name. At start was a sweet vanilla vibe with a rose hint but nothing spectacular and I waited to smell the noir in the vanilla but I was so much disappointed . The scent after 30 minutes was very soapy . I didn't like it at all. The longevity also was bad but i was glad that i didn't smell soapy anymore. Don't blind buy

@Perpetual Collector some people that work for the company go to preview events, where they get to smell the perfumes before us normies can. Some people receive pr ahead of time or maybe work in a store that already has some in stock prepping for the official release day. Id assume its not that uncommon for those people to end up on this website giving reviews early.

Pretty underwhelming. All these reviews I saw hyped it up to be something so sexy, sensual, signature worthy, never before seen. Where? Smells exactly like La Vie est Belle L'Extrait which I gifted my mother in law. Reminds me of a mature woman. Not a young scent. I would have probably liked it if I was 20 years older. Please smell it first

A medicinal oud paired with a honeyed rose. Boring, side character energy. This doesn’t sparkle like the original . I can’t even smell vanilla.

This brand and Flankers are the epitome of fine Trench perfumery. With that being said, I buy these particular Flankers because I collect them. I have all but about t four of these flankers. With that being said. I got this flanker from a person who had one for sale within the USA. There was no way to test prior to committing to the full purchase. I wish there was a way to try before you buy because this particular flanker, I could've honestly done without. I want to be something but it's barely anything. It's like very weak. And sometimes I lose the appreciation for the other flankers. After spraying this flanker. It is severely underwhelming. And it makes me appreciate the original version, that I go back and forth about. This to me is the least successful out the flankers so far. It has no reach, and no essential staying power. And it's not full bodied like the rest of the perfume concentrated version. This should've been a toilette. It's needs help. I can honestly say. I hope they hit the next one out the park. I am going to put mine up until summer. The cold weather does nothing for this perfume

I’m not a fan of La Nuit Trésor or its flankers—I find them too sweet and not « deep » enough. That said, I really enjoy Vanille Noire, even though you can clearly recognize La Nuit Trésor’s signature. The rose is stunning and warmed up by honey. It feels like it’s less covered by the usual excessive sweetness of LNT (maybe fewer fruits and caramel?). The vanilla absolute is beautifully rounded and there’s indeed a slight leathery touch. The oud is there without being overpowering. I see people complain about the projection and longevity being weaker than other LNT versions. Personally, I prefer a softer take when it comes to these kinds of notes, but I totally understand their frustration if they were expecting something closer to the original. I still need to test it in real-life conditions and not just on my wrist, but this “first amber fragrance from Lancôme” (as described by the brand) is really appealing to me!

Oh not again...they reformulated the ABSOLUTE masterpiece (the original La nuit tresor EDP) and after discontinuing the Caresse EDP (my favorite), A la folie (best dry down ever, similar to Poison Girl's EDP vanilla from Dior-before reformulation) and even Nude EDT edition (an interesting twist on coconut/rose)...the game was over. The perfumers though are very good, I don't think that the line needed an oud version, but once again the game is over. The Le parfum wasn't even close to intensity compared to the original (even 2019 formula) and the previous editions like Fleur de nuit (they tried to bring coffee of Black Opium EDP in the line since Lancome & YSL belong to L'oreal) or even Intense (cherry, God to make it one) are gone in no time. I don't have to mention editions like Musc Diamande, EDT of the original, Dantelle des roses etc...WE DON'T WANT NEW EDITIONS, WE JUST DEMAND QUALITY FOR WHAT WE'RE PAYING.

I am sure this is beautiful & smells great (though I am sick of oud & usually not fond of leather, Lancome seems to do those notes right.. I'll grudgingly admit that I was blown away by LVEB L'Elixir) but genuinely I would prefer if companies did not expand so much upon the flankers, & instead kept their core "best" fragrances (& did not reformulate them!!!). It really cheapens a perfume line when the lineage starts getting added to more & more. For instance I truly never see anyone mentioning anything from the LNT line years from original release except for LNT (the original from 2015, then the 2019 reform), A La Folie, Nude, Musc Diamant, sometimes Caresse. Though, if I go by review count within a year, this new Vanille Noire might make it into the core favorites of the La Nuit Tresor fans.

Writing another review of this perfume because I've literally become adducted to it! After leaving it sitting on my shelf for ages, I started craving it one day a few weeks ago, and have been wearing it every day since! It's an extremely comforting, enveloping scent of honeyed vanilla. I don't really get much oud, which is a good thing as I find that some perfumes can be overwhelmed by an oud note, but here it just adds a little bit more body and depth to the composition. Delicious! This is currently my favourite perfume in the LNT line, with A La Folie and the original EdT coming joint second.

Should be named No-Vanille instead of Vanille noire. Because where is the vanilla?. Boring, honey + oud and leather that lasted 5 minutes. I have so many questions for Lancôme..... Why change the OG formula when it was perfect before? And why discontinue A La Folie (masterpiece)? Then release Le Parfum that smells nothing like the OG La Nuit Tresor.... We have been asking you to bring back the LNT original 2015 formulation. Lancôme you’re not listening to your buyers!

Very in-keeping with the LTN line, this new addition, whilst lovely, is nothing groundbreaking. The oud is kept light and isn't oppressive. I'd say it's a safe blind buy for vanilla lovers and fans of LNT. Suitable for most seasons except for hot summer days. Elegant and seductive, this is a great all-rounder, but isn't as captivating as the original LNT EdP or A La Folie. For me personally, I'd have liked MORE vanilla and MORE noire!

Blind bought this cause I saw someone say it's similar to the og LNT pre-reformulation (which is my favorite perfume EVER). And you know what- IT IS. Very similar with a bit of oud, vanilla and honey. I really love it. Projection isn't that great to be honest BUT I get whiffs of it throughout the day and it lingers on clothes.

This was a bit strong and sharp at first like the Givenchy irresistible delicieuse! But it slowly dried down to a warmer vanilla scent, as the notes shown; So too much at the beginning, I prefer the drydown! Wouldn't buy full bottle, not really for me, but nice for those who like the Givenchy line!

Lancôme fooled us with this one. Oud where ? Honey where ? This a true flanker. It’s the original with toned down sweetness , and amped up vanilla. It’s not a deep syrupy oudhy scent at all , which I expected. Do i like it ? Yes. The vanilla did it for me. Would i repurchase? No.

I cannot wait to smell this. I wasn't really the biggest fan of La Vie Est Belle L'Extrait nor did I find Oud Bouquet full bottle worthy but this has me very excited! Especially seeing Honorine Blanc as one of the perfumers!

Interesting, and ready for night wear. Not spectacular, but a very nice perfume for deep night category EDPs. Seductive, yes. And without being overwhelming. Can be day perfume only for winter

I feel abused when people around me smell like oud and it happens every day here in Canada We should have discussions about how do not make people feel disgusted by the perfumes we wear

Vanilla, oud & honey with a whisper of rose in the background. Syrupy sweetness without becoming cloying. It's nice, but I do wish there was a bit more going on

If you remember the OG Nuit Tresor from 2019 (I think?) this is the same DNA with a warm, honey-ish twist. Its nice but tbh Im a little over this DNA.

The notes remind me of Oud Ambroisie from their Maison Lancôme line , that’s now discontinued. Can’t wait to try this.
