O pour Homme

this is the male version of the famous o de lancome pour femme. it left the market very quickly, it wasnt a big success. i think it deserves to be mentioned because o de lancome is a very good fragrance. it's a fresh, refined summer fragrance.it's a great combo of bergamot, bamboo, sandalwood, mint and soft spicies. no citrus here, definitely more herbal or grassy. it smells very natural, it evokes the painting of Monet and waterlillies, very relaxing and pleasant. it's not groundbraking but this scent is better than many others from the current market. like i said, the final result is a clean fresh fragrance, a bit soapy with a 90's touch, so the young people could not appreciate this product. the performance is strange, because it seems to be just average but after 6-7 hours i detected some pleasant whiffs of it. good for 25 and up, casual, outdoor situations and fits perfectly for spring and summer. nice gem from the 90's. profumo molto gradevole degli anni novanta, fresco-erbaceo piuttosto naturale. non indimenticabile ma a me personalmente piace molto. scent-8 long-7,5 sillage-7,5 versatility-7,5 bottle-6,5 uniqueness-7,5 compliment factor-6,5 rebuy?no my vote-8 in one word- monet alternative- mugler cologne

I was able to buy it today. Hard to find, but, it has already returned to my collection. Despite some minor differences, it reminds me of Paco Rabanne's Sport, another "pearl" of the 80's, unfortunately discontinued. Nowadays perfumery is mostly in an uninteresting process. Only clones of clones loaded with sweetened notes without any personality are produced.

I just got 1 from a sale box at my fave perfume store. I love it so much hope my husband will, because it really is a very nice fresh scent I wish a man would smell like this all day. But if not, thinking of using it my self just like old days when I used my brothers davidoff cool water back then when they didn't have the women version

OMG,I had this lost scent when I was a student,it's very green and fresh for summer days as the colour of the bottle. The bamboo,mint and Bergamot were clear and strong in my nose,I loved it and used it in summer vacations. But unfortunately,it disappered quickly likes a limited edith,Lancome sometimes is stupid.

"Its a early saturday morning in the 90s, and the distant hum of a lawnmower wakes you up from a deep sleep. Slightly annoyed (since you planned last night that you wanted to sleep in) you realize that that hum will keep you awake, so theres not point in sleeping anymore. so you decide to get out of bed and crack open the bedroom window.. and suddently, the fresh morning air rushes in filling the room with a light breahtable atmosphere carrying the crisp scent of freshly cut grass and greenery. you take a deep breath and smile to yourself... maybe waking up early wasnt so bad after all..."

A pleasant, if rather forgettable, linear citrus-woody scent. The dominant notes here are definitely the bamboo and bergamot, mixed in with some orange, supported by a woodsy-musky base. I don't get much mint from it, but maybe that's just me. A very refreshing, pleasant fragrance. However, there's not much more to it, and it's quite forgettable on its own. I picked it up from the bargain rack for around USD 15 for 100ml, so no complaints at that price.

It was my 24th April on Earth and little did I know that I would fall in love so hard that the memory of it would accompany me for the rest of my life. Paolo was the most beautiful living creature I had ever laid eyes on. He came in my life like a storm, a breezy, powerful wind of change moving inside me feelings so strong that I was unable to resist or control them. It was love at first sight, for both of us, and it was truly as if meeting had created a parallel world of us only. My olfactive memory of him is linked to this and another fragrance. Despite the fact that I haven't smelled around this one for decades, I can still recollect very clearly its notes because they so well framed his personality. Paolo was restless, athletic, a lover of outdoors and all creatures living out there. He wore this number mainly (and funny thing, looked much alike the guy in the ad!) and subtly smelled of green grass just cut, of sweet waters infused with a tad of cool mint just about perceptible. A light wood scent would perspired from him like an aura, giving me an impression of solidity and strength I could only associate with the world he loved so much. And alike an echo, some flowery, feeble notes would come and go from him, tangled with his sudden embraces and kisses. His scent was one of unattainability, saying to me "I am here, for myself, the way I am". And that talked to me, because I was the same. I was mesmerised by his personality, the strong feelings which animated him and he was capable to ignite in me. His proximity alone made me feel as if the whole world around made more sense, and had assumed finally a much defined, refined meaning through his presence. To these days, O reminds me that whilst everything changes around us, inside and outside of us, some things somewhat remain solid and perennial: this scent and what it meant to me.

Ever got one you gave away and later on you regretted it? Well, that was the case. I cannot recall it perfectly well, but I remember the green pungent notes. I did not like it much, the blend was quite ticklish to the nose and pungent, but I recall it was a nice choice for hot days, albeit a little too much in its sharpness. As to it being the male version of O de Lancome... they are two worlds apart. O has a subtle, graceful character this one lacked.

Had this many years ago when on holiday in Spain. The lady at my Lancome counter in the nearest Dept Store here in the UK had never heard of it and did not believe me until I took my bottle into show her. She said it was only available in certain European countries...shame. Would love another bottle for old times sake, it was perfect for spring/summer.
