Peut-Etre (La Collection Fragrances)

I am lucky to still have over half a bottle of the 2008 release. Stored in the original box in a dark room, it's still as fresh and wearable as the day I bought it. I haven't smelled the 2020 reformulation, but my version still elicits many compliments- particularly from men. Powdery, not too sweet rose, iris and amber. Simple, quite linear and very effective. Lasts a good 7 hours on me. Gentle sillage.

Wonderful scent. As a guy, it can be worn especially in the winter time for a cosy date with your partner. On clothes it lasts for at least 12 hours but it's a very much skin scent. But every whiff you get is addictive hence why it's a great present for the Mrs which will make you... Well you know 😁

Such a gorgeous rose and iris perfume! My favourite perfume for feeling feminine and alluring. It's beautiful!!!! Strong and rich and powerfully feminine; ELEGANT and very very classy. I love it!!!!

I Love this sent and I received many compliments while wearing it! I was fortunate to receive a second bottle as a gift before it was discontinued. I can’t wait until they bring it back.

It’s a rare gem! Feminine, different, long lasting and one of my perfumes which has given me a lot of compliments.

Peut-Etre is one of the greatest powerful feminine scents on me.

This is a very lovely iris and rose scent, of the vintage face powder variety, but to me avoiding actually smelling like make-up. Peut-Etre is a perfect pink powder puff of a fragrance, that grows more powdery the longer it wears on the skin. The star really is the iris, but it's definitely well trimmed as it's all floral, with no greenness or roots. It however remains very warm, with a noticeable sweetness and is blushed tenderly with rose. This fragrance is ultra feminine, but I agree with Garback that it is somewhat virginal. This to me is for the girl who loves white lace, vintage clothes and old Hollywood movies, and has a beautiful antique vanity in her bedroom but doesn't quite yet understand sensuality. She loves the idea of red lipstick, stiletto heels and lounging in beautiful lingerie but isn't really brave enough for it herself. The scent reminded me a lot of L'Instant de Guerlain in how it wore on my skin - very powdery and feminine, cuddly and inviting - but is far less sweet than L'Instant. I would wear this when I wanted to feel very girly and innocent, but not smell like a fruit cupcake. If I didn't own L'Instant I'd want it in my collection. Lovely sillage and great staying power for me, easily 8 hours. Edit: I forgot to mention that this scent to me held up my notion that for a mainstream line, Lancome do produce very fine rose fragrances, paying homage to their company symbol perhaps, displaying more diversity than other houses who like to use the note. With Peut-Etre, Mille and Une Roses, Magnifique, and the two Tresor rose based flankers they have quite the nice collection.

Just a first impression- it’s a like not a love. I was hoping for more of a lipstick rose-Iris. To me there’s a lot of lilac which makes the musk very soapy but nice. I do get a powdery impression but no to much. I’m also not getting much sweetness or benzoin. It’s reminding me of a soapy version of Iris Dragee. I do have the La Collection version and maybe the updated Maison Lancome version might be more suited to my tastes? Peut-être not?

Peut-Etre is not my cup of tea. I love iris, but not so sweet. Too much sweetness because of amber. It feels like scent of a lipstick or a powder. And no sillage at all. For me Peut-Etre is kind of intimate fragrance for girl in her boudoir in the morning when she lies in her silk lingerie.

I think it has something that triggers a negative feeling for me. I appreciate each note individually, but this formula is not for me. I appreciate the softness and safety it offers. This was the favourite fragrance for a colleague so I smelled it everyday for at least a year. I know some women who think this is the best thing since sliced bread. To me, this scent smells like French soap mixed with BO.

Peut-etre... peut-etre que oui, peut-etre que non... but in the end this is a big sensual luscious luxury vintage OUI! It smells hypnotique, powerful yet soft and enveloping. Nothing modern here according to latest standards. Here comes a true oldie, probably "revised", still steaming of feminine sensuality. This is a perfume/smell that I would expect on one of those European ladies dressed in a perfect casual-but-chic cachemire pull in white and camel tones for daytime and black dress with high heels at night. A never dying outfit, perhaps banal at first sight, yet sound and solid in depths.

Peut-Etre is what I would call a "glove perfume," because it wears largely as a skin scent, with both gentle leather and a thin layer of flowers. The listed notes include amber & musk in the base, which might be why I read it as leathery...and I do like most ambers. The lasting power is good, more than 5 hours on my skin. The sillage is minimal, and the tone it establishes at the start is largely what you get for the whole ride.

Very nice, as in smooth, well-blended, balanced, no sense of chemicals, etc. Longevity is mediocre to good with decent projection. Some may find that they have something similar that is a bit more exciting, if not as smooth, well-blended, etc., but otherwise the main issue here seems to be availability.

Never thought I would like a fragance from Lancome. This is a very nice dayscent and I feel kind and female wearing it. Women around like it, I think men find it too virginlike...Unfortunatly the scent fade quickly.

Very long lasting fragrance despite the few ingredients. The iris stands out and gives this fragrance a very sweet, powdery almost gourmand feel but you could smell the rose, amber and musk at the same time as well.
