Cote d’Amour

I know that C.d.A is far from being a loud fragrance,as most of the fragrances by l'Artisan P. I think they regard fragrances as I regard salt (yes!: Na Cl) you can always add it but never do the contrary. Hardly ever they are "shouting" fragrances which last from Monday up to Sunday, although there are many among them (even some E.de.T. such as: Tea for two; Dzongkha; Voleur de rose..... ) with a remarkable persistence [I adore Drole de R. and Jour de F. and I keep on smelling their beauty on my clothes even after the washing machine!] and not only their "Extreme" version or the E.d.P when existing. There are also some cultural differences among people - thanks God we are not totally globalized! - so while American women expect fragrances to last all day long, French women think differently. My granny used to use the E.d.C for the day and the parfum in the evening. C.d.A. is like a water-colour painting, it has grace and delicacy; it's a moment for yourself and some few close friends; it doesn't have any sillage; if you are looking for a bang!-fragrance that makes turn heads in your direction this is not the one so choose differently... But the composition is not banal at all and it "lasts" though - for me - it's a quite scent more than a weak one. It is composed by "natural" (not would be so..) ingredients as all the chemicals are ignored and seeing that it's not possible to employ anymore genuine "animals" (thanks God again!) such as musk, or civet cat and so on in order to fix the fragrance better consequently any fragrance cannot be ever lasting, unless it were helped chemically: it's a catch 22! I use it in spring or at the very beginning of the summer; today - longing for the sun -in a snowy and cold day I've tried it and...it is still present on my skin, in its quiet way. Like salt you can always add/spray it more and more without fear of killing anyone ; )

If you cant be bothered to take a stroll along the sea or make a trip to one for whatever reason,then just spritz this on you and allow yourself to be transported. this captures sea breeze for me (with a tinge of sweetness).how that was done I really don't know but though fleeting as some see it,I am more than ok with what I get out of this Perfect for spring and summer,and clearly a scent for individual enjoyment.a bonus when it draws an inquisitive nose nearer... Might not be for everyone but I love it for what I get out of it.I no longer live by the coast so this always fills the 'nostalgic void'.

Nice review Daniela 3 but the perfume will be discontintinous. It is true it doesn't last very much but when it last is magic!

I could best describe the main accord i get from Côte d'Amour as herbal fig. It's both refreshing and relaxing. A comforting scent that i spray before i go to sleep. And yet coming from the house of L'Artisan it strikes me as unusually anonymous, and uneventful. I don't usually complain about this, but it's tragically short-lived. Actually i could have loved Côte d'Amour if it had more persistence. ***(**)

i don't like it and on me it doesn't last. I would like to sell this fragrance...So let me know if u wanna buy the fragrance. The bottle is completely full.
