Minuit à Paris

I first encountered Minuit à Paris almost by accident, during a trip to France, at a L'Artisan Parfumeur corner in the Paris airport. I ended up buying Venenum instead - interesting, unusual, different from my collection. Only later did I realize my mistake. There was another scent I couldn’t stop thinking about, the one I kept sniffing on my wrist long after leaving the counter: Minuit à Paris. Once home, I tried to fix that mistake - only to discover that Minuit à Paris is sold exclusively at the Paris airport. No boutiques, no online orders, no second chances. So I waited, until a friend finally flew out of Paris from the right place and agreed to bring it back for me. And yes - oh, it was worth it. Minuit à Paris opens with a warm, smooth rum note: comforting, slightly boozy, like a quiet late-night drink, but far subtler than heavier boozy fragrances. Pink pepper adds a gentle lift - never sharp, just enough to keep it alive. Then the vanilla settles in, soft and creamy, enveloping everything in a calm, intimate warmth. It leans sweet, but remains completely genderless. It smells like a specific place and a precise moment: warmth, low light, and that quiet sense of comfort you only notice once it’s already there. It stays with you, surrounds you, and feels present all day - never loud, but impossible to ignore. This is a perfume you wear for yourself, yet others notice it anyway. People lean in. They ask what you’re wearing. And you hesitate - because wanting this fragrance means accepting how hard it is to get. Owning Minuit à Paris means using it carefully, already aware that one day it will run out - and replacing it will require the right trip, the right airport, and the right favor. Or the very little chance to find it by a private reseller on ebay. It’s frustrating. Completely impractical. And somehow, that only makes you want it more.

favorite perfume i've ever worn but u can’t find it literally anywhere except paris airports which is SO ANNOYING. i love it so much only critique is i wish it lasted longer and was a bit stronger, other than that it’s perfection for me.

Like almost every perfume sold exclusively at the airports' duty free stores this one is nothing special, a mix of everything, rather secondary and weak. I can't understand why L'Artisan is doing this, and even more I don't understand people praising it.

I tried this at Charles-de-Gaulle airport yesterday. It is a refined and nice vanilla scent that has a mild spicy accent which I think comes from Rhum and the Pink Pepper. It has a delightful presentation and I think it makes a good souvenir or gift to get from Paris, considering the exclusive distribution.

Just smelled this at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. It reminds me of Eau Duelle by Diptyque, on my skin it's a very warm, spicy soft vanilla. It's beautiful, but projection-wise it's basically a skin scent, which is kind of a bummer for the price.
