Leather Black (K)night

An excellent leather fragrance, with a touch of saffron and leaning towards sweet, but with the composure and refinement of French perfumery. This is not a weaker version of Ombré Leather (nor of Tuscan L.), although it's clear that TF perfumes conditioned the collective perception of this accord. It is suitable all year round, it's not cloying or chemically artificial - making it a safe blind buy.

Totally in love with the fresh notes of bergamot and its velvety leather accord. A beautiful, modern and balanced combination. I couldn't wait to try this fragrance and I'm not disappointed!

Very leathery. Very Very Very Very Very leathery. A lot of leather. But overall a great perfume with some sweeter notes over time. It also smells like leather. Overall a very good fragrance from a great perfumery. I recommend.

Testing this blind, I got a kind of a grape smokey sweet leather vibe at the onset, which then got a bit more earthy, or maybe it was more dry floral. Either way, while interesting and moody, it sometimes comes off as a bit cloying. Looking at the notes, if this is supposed to be a leather scent, it is by far the most candy like leather, more synthetic (much like, but not necessarily similar to a "leather" car freshener). It's not that sweet or synthetic, but I get more of a scented leather wax, than "leather". Looking at the notes, the ink clearly dominates, while the leather (or suede in this case) pays secondary along with the host of other notes. Most can be picked out, but a few like the cacao and hazelnut take some convincing. While fun (not serious) and moody, this fragrance performed less than desired. It reduced to a skin scent quite easily, maybe within the first hour, leaving a murky, moody, and dark hint behind. But, it's dark shadow was still hiding a good time later. Overall, at times I like it, at times it comes across as young and dumb. The more I think about it the name seems less fitting and becomes what I don't like. It's more ink than leather, more weird than sexy, and more awkward date night, But I don't hate it.

New leather bag with a fresh huge stain from an ink pen. Strong leather and ink accord, later leather becomes less prominent and the scent gets slightly more powdery. Ink is very prominent here and I don't get any other notes except of leather, ink and iris. Unfortunately I don't find it particularly pleasant and it is unwearable for me, unless I layer it with something sweet or powdery. Very weird perfume for experimental black souls :)
