Al Ameed

I really like this one. It's hard to describe what this one smells like. The notes all sort of blend together and it's hard to pick out anything at first. It's fresh, airy, spicy, very soft suede leather background, and the EXACT amount of sweetness to balance everything out. Not too much, not too little. I pick up a violet/petrol note thats not listed, and I think that is coming from the leather. On the far drydown the suede and spices come out a bit more. I think this would make an excellent workout scent because its very invigorating. But be careful if using as a gym scent because it does project very strongly. In that situation you would want to go very light on the sprays--maybe just 1 or 2--but it would probably still work. Clean, causal, unique. Almost sporty but not quite. It's different than every other fresh fragrence in my collection. Awesome for spring, summer nights, and fall. Could probably still work on hot summer days if you are light on the sprays. Unisex leaning more male, but the right girl could definitely pull this off. Word of caution: I did have a guy and his girlfriend say that it smelled like triple antibiotic ointment, but in a good way. I can see where they are coming from but it really doesn't smell like that at all to me. So to people who haven't experienced a lot of fragrences this may be slightly strange, but overall people seem to like it.

Nose Note #607 Upclose I don't like it much - it has leather similar to Raw Human, similarly oily, but much less prominent to my nose. Here it's a leather blend just like in Ferragamo leather line - meaning it's note a strictly leather scent. The leather doesn't even smell like leather to me here. It reminds me a lot of some mens fougere from the 90s like CK Eternity, maybe because of a substantial clary sage note. It's a 100% aromatic mens fragrance with tiny bit of fruit and quite a bit of leather. As it dries down the leather starts to smell more and more like leather. Again, it smells a lot lot better in the sillage. I'd even say it smell absolutely amazing in the sillage and better than OK upclose (when you put your nose to it). It's not a niche fragrance, it's just a mens fragrance. Not weird, nothing like that. A good one that's been completely overlooked by the YT reviewers. Understandably so, because this is a little bit old school, but only a tiny bit. I love the 90-00s and this is a very good, strong take on that time. The more I wear it, the more I like it. 8.75/10, seriously good if you're looking for a 100% mens perfume for all seasons

OMG, this is awesome! During my teenage years I wore SoCal (for Men) by Hollister almost every day; I just loved that scent. Upon the very first spray, I get a seemingly endless flashback of my teenage years and an inexplicable association with Hollister. Wow. Then I looked up the notes online; and indeed - suede, pineapple, rosemary in SoCal, compared to Al Ameed with leather (for me suede), pineapple, sage, pepper, mandarin. This one has less sweetness, much more spice from the pepper, and herbaceousness from the sage. But this base DNA of pineapple-suede-herbs is just unmistakable for me. It's really as if the 14-year-old "SoCal (Cologne) | Hollister" has grown into a handsome man. Wow. Instantly one of my favorite fragrances.

In cooler months all i can smell is leather without sweetness. In spring and summer mandrin and sage combo is more prominent and elevates the scent. This is basically leather with beautiful fruity-aromatic bubble around it. i don't get much of the pineapple, maybe a general fruity vibe. Leather is definitely most prominent note in this one but is very original because of lack of sweetness which is a standard for leathery scents. For clarity, there are some hints of sweetness from the fruits, but it is very balanced. Presentation is amazing, quality of the scent is also great. Performance is a little above average, for me good enough. 8.5/10

I love this fragrance. It lasts a long time and smells great. It's very leathery and despite not having oud as one of its notes I can smell oud pretty clearly. I think for what it is the price is great. I paid $80 AUD. It's very similar to the niche fragrance by Clive Christian and I think it could even be better. I highly recommend this fragrance if you want a good reliable winter/fall fragrance. 8/10

This is a hidden gem from the Lattafa pride line, I wonder why folks are not talking about it... Refreshing, aromatic, spicy with a slightly sweet leather undertone, has good projection and longevity (7/10). It is classy and gentlemanly in all situations🎖️ A signature worthy scent love for me and can be worn in all seasons ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Scent 8.5/10

Had this guy ask me what it was and take a picture of it lol Guy said “it smells so fckng good”. You decide if you want to get it but from me it’s a good one. Manly fragrance for $25 or less. Kinda like that Versace Dylan Blue but not the same... just around that area.

You really need to wait for the dry down on this one. That's when a nice ozonic-leather similar to Ganymede develops out of the designer frangrance vibe it opens with. The pineapple and citrus are faint to me and if stronger would make for a better fragrance.

This one is very good. It should be more popular and have more hype, and I think the only reason why it doesn't is because it is not a clone of anything else.

The fresh, fruity, slightly smoky leather combination evokes CDNIM. It teeters on the edge of being a blue fragrance. It's difficult to categorize, and it doesn't seem to be a direct clone of any other scent, which lends it a certain degree of individuality. What it does offer is versatility. This fragrance is undeniably masculine, wearable year-round, and suitable for nearly any occasion. It's non-offensive, smooth, and offers moderate projection that won't overwhelm a room. Longevity is average — enough to get through the day, but nothing extraordinary. It's the kind of scent you can wear to the office or a casual outing without concern. Unfortunately, despite its versatility, the fragrance lacks the depth and complexity needed to make it memorable. It's a solid performer in all aspects but doesn't excel in any particular area. The fragrance is just 'okay', and while it's by no means bad, it falls short of being remarkable. For the price? At full retail, it's hard to justify the purchase when there are more captivating options available. Luckily, I managed to get a 20 ml tester at a price-per-ml much lower than the full bottle, making the value acceptable in my case. However, I can't say it's worth the full price, given its lack of nuances. It's good at everything but great at nothing, as someone aptly put it, and I couldn't agree more. Good, not great. People describe this more special than it really it is. Al Ameed behaves like a grown up version of Versace Dylan Blue. That is the closest resemblance I can make, although I sometimes think of Percival or Kenzo Homme EdP. Not really a clone of anything I know. Mature, not cheap smelling and definitely a „blue“ scent. Performance is mediocre. Presentation and price are great, as always with Lattafa scents. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you don’t have a decent (blue) dumb reach in your collection. No, if you are expecting a crazy experience and something niche smelling. Summary: Since I have tested multiple blue fragrances and own a couple of ones, I am struggling to find a particular niche for Al Ameed. It’s good at everything but great at nothing.

Definitely a very very masculine fragrance. I just received yesterday after a blind buy, wasnt expensive so will be part of my collection for a while... For me its strongly a drydown scent, when you spray it its a complete disaster, simply just too much for my nose. Too spicy with too much leather, really really intrusive in the first 1-3 minutes... BUT the drydown is nice turn a balanced leather scent with some sweetness. I really wanna like it but I still can't, its just a "sometimes I use it" category. If you prefer the more soft, unisex scents this is not for you. I bought a Fougère Italiano Gianfranco Ferre at the same time, that has far far more harmony and softness...Definitely not a blind buy...

The impression is like a designer vibe — something very familiar that I’ve definitely smelled before, but they added something that feels a bit out of place. Might appeal to someone, like a 'niche' kind of thing. Overall, the scent is decent, just boring. Longevity and sillage aren’t great

#370 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I have little experience with Clive Christian scents except samples of 1862, X, No 1, and one not listed on Fragrantica called "X Chypre Floral." I didn't make much in the way of notes, except, "Fail." If this is a dupe of 1862 then no surprise I'm not impressed. But I can't say what it resembles. The scent's nice enough at first, kinda barbershop powdery and vaguely tropical, like a Tommy Bahama scent. Sold as an EDP, it isn't EDP in potency or longevity. But it's a $30 scent, so you expect that. At first I thought, "Okay, it's office safe, carpool safe, elevator safe. I would just say if your morning commute is an hour or more this scent will, at best, make a vague impression at arm's length when you arrive, and by noon probably not even that on the skin. Still an okay skin scent at two hours." But by three hours the pleasant scents were replaced by a smell I can best describe as the scent from a used store brand dryer sheet. Actually kind of nasty . So I'm not keeping this or donating it. It's going in the trash.

I am not the biggest leather fan. I have Rasasi LaYuqawam and Oud 24 majestic which doesn't list leather but is heavy leather scented. I don't care for either leather dry down and honestly give me a major headache during and after wearing them. I thought "That is it, I just don't like leather". I watched a couple of reviews (Post cologne and Glam Finds) which spoke very highly on AL Ameed so I figured it was cheap ($25) so I'll give a shot. This smells fantastic . The drydown, the drydown and again the drydown is a soft leather, musky and smooth scent.The opening has a very bright fruity, and also smooth opening that causes me to want to spray it every few hours. The fruity smell is present throughout, even in the drydown, just sitting in the background. It smells well above its price point. The next one on my list is "Bright Leather" by Ferragamo. Please let me know if you have smelled both, or just Bright Leather and if you think I'll enjoy it based on my comments above. Enjoy. 12/27. Gotta be one of my favorite!!!! I now have 175+ and it's one I reach for a lot!!!!

Whoever said it smells like Clive Christian 1872 is crazy! This smells nothing like it.. didn’t even have to compare it to tell. Don’t get me wrong, this smells beautiful and in an amazing box for the price but can’t come even close to CC 1872. I’d say it’s definitely a safe blind buy
