Al Dur Al Maknoon Gold

My mother hugs me this morning and says I smell of roses and incense💖 There isn't any rose in the fragrance according to Fragrantica's note breakdown above, but I get a little bit of it. Perhaps it's the blending of other notes or that the perfume pyramid on this site isn't accurate - which is often the case when it comes to Lattafa fragrances. Al Dur Al Maknoon Gold is sublime. I cannot compare it to any other fragrance I have smelled. For me this is what niche ought to be about - unique, original, interesting and beautiful. I paid $15 for this, and thinking it could well be a $300 scent. Funnily it took me ages to decide to blind buy it, and gosh am I happy I did. Back-up bottle will definitely be ordered soon. How do I describe this fragrance? I truly appreciate it when other members liken the perfume they are reviewing to other fragrances - it helps more than simply or poetically describing the scent. This one... Honestly, I just can't find any other fragrance this smells like. It is such an incredible blend - there is incense with a rose, there is a touch of vanilla and woods; I am getting a lemony vanilla in the dry-down, too. All of it is constantly evolving. There is nothing linear because I am getting wafts of at least three different scents at various times of the wearing. Remarkable. Al Dur Al Maknoon Gold can be regarded as unisex, but I think it leans more masculine. Nice presentation, the same as the Silver version, and the sprayer is excellent. Four sprays will give you at least 12 hours - it is a Lattafa after all. And only $15. Please get it if you are a fan of the House; you will not be disappointed. This fragrance is a masterpiece⭐

This is a very intriguing scent, that is actually the main reason why i got it. I DO NOT regret buying it! First because I think is one of the most powerful, strong and full of personality fragrance in my collection. The main thing that I get is the most refined tobacco mixed with vanilla cream in a cloud of rosy woody metallic notes. I also get lavender that is pretty obvious. Masculine, but suitable for a very sexy and strong woman that creates gossip and turns heads every time she steps. Definitely a night and cold weather scent. On me lasts up to 8 hours. The silage is huge, so be careful with this one: 2-3 sprays would be sufficient, otherwise you will intoxicate the ones around you for a couple of hours. I don't suggest you blind buy this one. You either love it or hate it. I would recommend it though to men and women who don't want to go with the main stream or want to smell good but different!

This smells exactly like a fragrance called Oudi by Ard Al Zaafaran (same price too where I live). They differ in juice color and Al Dur Al Maknoon Gold lasts significantly longer (by around 2 hours). With that out of the way, this is a unique gorgeous scent. Woody with incense and rose. Almost gets to the powdery side as it dries. I also smell a hint of leather. It leans masculine. It gives me extra confidence and serenity when I wear it. Don't sleep on it.

This fragrance is really a masterpiece! I blind bought 8 arabic fragrances and out of them this is my favourite. It is a quite smoky, aromatic fragrance with really unique character, I can imagine it as a signature scent. It is serious, and does add a kind of dignity to the wearer. I recommend it for a confident and strong person who knows what she/he does. Definitely not a crowd pleaser so don't blind buy it!

Although the listed notes are different, the effect of this perfume is very similar to Amouage Braken for Women. It is very green, very unique. If you genuinely like the smell of Braken, I think you would love this. As for myself-Braken is a weird fragrance. I don't want TO smell like it-but when I do spray my tester I will sniff myself over and over again, because it is so odd. There is something enticing about it. Al Dur Al Maknoon is a more "wearable" version IMO. It still smells niche, but it isn't quite as weird. It projects well and lasts a decent time-but it isn't as incredibly strong. The bottle itself is BEAUTIFUL, and the price is of course very reasonable. I'm glad to have it in my collection. Based on the image of the male version of Braken, I do wonder if Lattafa was trying to dupe that? I've never smelled the mens version of Braken-but if it is similar to the ladies version, I'd guess that this is probably an intentional dupe. BTW- some other reviews mentioned roses, and I was confused because rose isn't listed in the notes here. To my own nose, there is nothing resembling rose either. So if you are looking for a strong rose perfume-this isn't it!

does not look like midnight oud opens more like rasasi tobacco blaze and in its drying to dinar

At first when I tried this on the tester strip in the shop, I get sort of the Diptyque TamDao vibe and Tom Ford Tuscan Leather vibe, which is very Woody, leathery, like peanut butter without the sweetness. After I bought this home, it's another thing. On skin it's a bit synthetic with a bit leathery scent when u smell closely, which is masculine, if u smell distance away it's very sweet like coconut which is feminine, but not what I expected like when I tried in store. Overall the performance is stable like other Lattafa, not bad, but not Wow like other Lattafa perfumes, better test on skin before u buy, don't try on tester strip, won't help.

When I try to wear this perfume I can't get through the smell of stale cigarettes.

I stumbled across this one recently by accident. I bought it out of curiosity due to the low price and @dizedd's review below comparing it to Bracken Woman that I already have, and the reminds me of section showing Soleil de Jeddah. My first impression was that it reminded me of one of Lattafa's newer offerings, Ajayeb Dubai Portrait, (which I also own) but without the mango... makes sense then that someone has rated it similar to Soleil de Jeddah as ADP is similar to SDJ Mango Kiss, a flanker of SDJ. I have on occasion used one or two sprays of Bracken Woman layered with Ajayeb dubai portrait in situations where too much Bracken Woman would be overbearing. If you have any of the above scents you probably don't need it, unless like me you're curious. If you don't own any of the above but are looking for a similar type dna at a ridiculously low price for great performance, then this may scratch your itch. It would layer well with a pure fruity scent if you want to change one up and add some depth and performance. Edit: atomiser is good, bottle is cumbersome due to the shape.

Started out quite lavender lemon fresh, nutmeg nuttyness appearent. The smoke is in the background and the vanilla minimal but giving a round and smoothness. Middle is very much nutty lemons. And after a while it seems to lean more towards that vanilla while turning down the lavender. My first experience with oud, and I'm not sure if what im smelling is oud or not cause I have no reference, but the strange smell is not funky or stanky to me its quite nice antique wood and smokey, but kind of faint. Update: Performance is friggin strong & lasting. I also think this is a seriously under the radar gem and just absolutely incredible for the price. It smells like a sunset. It gives me similiar vibes to D&G The One, not that it smells like the one, but if The One is a sunset in China, Al Maknoon Gold is a sunset in the middle east. Gold is a fitting title. Strange, this is giving me rasasi shuhrah pour home vibes. (The soapy floral version not the tobacco whatever version.) Something about the lavender/lemon I think is acting like the rose/tomato leaf/jasmine in shuhrah. I have a feeling this is going to benefit greatly with some time to mature. I'll update in 6 weeks or so. Welp, it definitely changed. It now smells more like a proper lemon/lavender, sadly slightly reminiscent of a cleaning product. ( I was told this by someone, I try not to make those connections in my head.) I actually don't mind it. Some people might find this too heavy but im thinking I'll mostly wear this in warmer weather. I get some incense behind the lemon but there's no oud I can pick out. The vanilla is also pretty light, which I prefer. Overall not my fav, but not bad for $13.

I just got this one and have worn it for 2 days.. Im still not sure how I feel about it. One thing, it DOES NOT last...3 hours is what im getting from here. I definitely smell the lime but it is very synthetic. I hate to say it, but I almost feel like I am wearing an air freshener will update upon more use

Just recieved a box of 10 blind buys frags and I'm obsessed with the lavender insence vibe. It's good straight out of the bottle, I wonder if it gets better over time. My colleague said the other day that Im more into smokey and spicey Perfumes. She knows me so well 😌

Unpolished variant of solitaire al haramain. Maybe same performance, maybe a low price , but a big plus for solitaire in terms of quality. Value 7/10. Shuhrah by rasasi is close to them and another better alternative.

This fragrance is extremely masculine.It has a smokey greenish scent that is most distinct about it. Not my type of scent but it's ok overall. It reminds me of a plant scent.

Updating to add that one of my co-workers complemented that I smelled like a rich person's home, or what she imagined a rich person's home would smell like. Luxe 🤣
