First of all, if you do not like iris/violet/powdery notes this is not your perfume! But if you still want to have some iris in your collection, well you found it. A quiet luxury fragrance of nich quality. Now about the frag itself. The bergamot and the pink pepper leave the impression of the soft glow of a golden ring. They dance together like lovers. After about 15min. a peculiar smell surrounds you. It resembles a luxurious limited edition book with its expensive paper and ink accord. The soft golden glow is still there. After about an hour and a half, Al Narjis shifts into more familiar territory. It becomes more flowery and the ink accord turns woody. The patchouli is a bit earthy, but it does not cross the dusty/dirty/basement border. Unisex but leans rather female. Longevity: more than 6hrs and I can still smell it. This perfume is more like presence than it is a statement. Iris perfumes are usually like that. It just does not have the beast mode scent profile so one should not expect it of it. Enjoy or beware!

One of my first ventures into Lattafa. This is chalky and sort of candy like when you first spray it. As someone who hates candy smells in fragrance this was surprisingly inoffensive to me. Otherwise this is a beast mode powdery-ambery bomb, it's extremely iris forward and earthy to me and it's very long lasting. Its very unique and I get so many compliments on this everytime I wear it. Men, if you see this in the women's section like I did don't be turned off by it. I actually think this would catch the attention of women and they would love it on a man. Edit: I tried this on again after leaving this review and good lord this stuff is eternal. It's been a full 24 hours and I can still smell the ghost of it on my skin.

This perfume isn't hyped enough. It smells amazing and it lasts so long on my skin and clothes. I got it when I got Queen of Arabia and I've been looking for it to get. The Bergamot in the top note makes me so happy. This is my happy scent

To me smells like Sceptre Malaquite, but less sharp. Very fresh and pleasant.
