Al Nashama

This one surprised me. These days when I buy a Middle Eastern fragrance, I don’t often expect that I will need to let it sit for more than a day or two. It seems that the brands have heard the influencers and heard the complaints and are beginning to send scents out that have had time to mature so that they aren’t written off in the very beginning, or by people who do not have large enough collections that allow them to put a fragrance away after buying it for 3 to 4 months at a time. And so lately, my Middle Eastern purchases have been great and wearable from day one. While they do improve with time, this is nothing like the experience I used to have with Middle Eastern fragrances about a year ago when some of them would be completely unwearable on day one, and need to sit for 3 to 4 months before becoming something that even resembles a fragrance. Now, when I first got Al Nashama, I felt that there was something beautiful here, but the notes didn’t quite feel right. Something in the mix was coming off bitter in the way that synthetic coconut can, although there was no coconut listed in the notes. I, personally, am not a fan of coconut in fragrance, and the more synthetic the note the more I hate it, so I struggled with this when I first got it. Also, I understood this to be an impression of Paragon by Initio. That is a plummy woody fragrance that is absolutely beautiful and while unisex, leans masculine. I’ve heard that Al Neshama would be a more feminine, leaning version of that, and therefore my interest was piqued. When I first smelled this I was disappointed. I could pick up the essence of the plum done in a similar way as paragon, but the rest of the fragrance was just a mess of accords. But I have some experience with this happening with ME fragrances, so I put it away. First for two weeks, then for four, and now here we are six weeks later, with a fragrance that has taken my breath away and captivated my senses. The bitterness is nearly gone, making a brief appearance early in the development and disappearing by the time we get to the mid. The opening is sweet fresh and addictive... it’s possible that time stops when you spray this. This time I could smell the aromatic herbs blended beautifully with a jammy, syrupy, and lush plum, deep, dark and bold. And then just as I was drowning in plum, a rich and fragrant leather embraced me. It is not suede. It is not soft. It has all the rigidity and coldness that it needs to bring balance to this warm, almost hot lava of plummy syrupy goodness. It is stunning. Nose to skin this fragrance is too much. It is dense, heavy, dark, sweet, rich and unrelenting. However, in the air, a beacon. It creates longing. It is way more poetic than I could ever hope to be. I sit here with the nagging dissonance that I could ever be inspired to write such a review about a fragrance that cost me $30. I’ve encountered many wonderful and inexpensive Middle Eastern fragrances. I’ve encountered many wonderful and inexpensive designer and celebrity fragrances. I’ve left reviews on several, but nothing has moved me quite like this. It just feels strange, but here we are. For the price, I would say let it sit. It is worth the wait. And if you are sensitive, spray the back of your neck, the backs of your shoulders, the insides of your elbows behind your knees and your ankles. Don’t spray your neck or your chest and you’ll be fine. You and those around you will be able to fully enjoy this masterpiece in all of its beauty. This is truly an underrated gem.

It's a purported clone of Initio's Paragon, but having no experience with that fragrance I must judge on its own merits. This is a very strong and complex aroma. It blends sweet, fruit, amber, spicy, powder, floral, herbal, woody and patchouli musk aromas. There are aspects of fruity, woody and aromatic fougere fragrances here that makes this appealing to users of those types of fragrances. It's also got appeal to younger users who enjoy modern fresh and sweet fragrances, though they will have to enjoy fruit in their fragrances to enjoy this. This is a very sophisticated and attractive fragrance. It's totally unisex and works well for older users where other fresh and sweet fragrances would annoy them. It goes for a fair price at online discounters and is a good QPR value, especially given its strong performance. Presentation is beautiful, especially the bottle. This may lean a bit too feminine for male users given the strong fruit and floral components, but that's up to individual tastes. As a man I'm definitely enjoying this. Very high quality and a high recommend overall.

Okay. So I've got Vintage Radio and this (don't have Paragon but I've smelled it recently) and I can tell you that, while both have similar underlying DNA, they're not redundant. AN is more surypy sweet, in fact the sweetness reminds me of the kind you find in Ariana Grande Cloud, doesn't have the woody notes, and a creamy lavender is more prominent and goes hand in hand with the syrupy sweet, fruity plum. It DOES lean feminine, doesn't have the slightly tingly hint of synthetic oud accord that VR has, and it's an overall less unisex yet still very much year round wearable scent. Right now in the far dry down it's reminding me a tad bit of Montblanc Individuel lol. Projection is decent (about 3 hours) and so is sillage (4-ish feet), and performance is definitely less than Vintage Radio, but still a respectable 6-8 hours, I suspect it'll get better overtime! I'm a huge fan of the packaging, perfect for gifting, and yeah while the cap feels abit cheap and looks kinda goofy, the bottle has grown on me. Apparently the name "Al Nashama" means, resumed, someone of high character, courageous and of noble traits. At least according to Gemini lol XD Solid 8.5/10.

Need to put this out here because people tend to forget, middle eastern "clone" houses need maceration, some batches are better than the others, but when demand increases after hyping them up they cant macerate later batches so usually the batches towards the end tend to be weaker and more artifical, after maceration they become stronger and smoother more balanced without the artifical smell, and youll be surprised. Now as for this scent its very sweet, floral throughout the dry down, leans more feminine at first but then its very unisex, its not for everyone because the sweetness can be too much, its a nice plum fragrance, nice floral, and its getting better and better with time, it has great performance and great projection on my skin, definitely the 8-12 hour range depending on the weather, and yeah its a great scent for someone whose looking for a sweet plum fruit fragrance, just give it some time to mature and smoothen out.

Bought this on a blind buy and I actually really like it, even though it isn't what I expected. I can't see how this could be unisex. It smells very sweet and feminine to me. On spraying, it doesn't smell great. Almost like scented soap, but after about a minute it settles and smells amazing. Very very sweet and it does seem a little immature due to that, I was really into gourmands as a teenager and young adult and I don't tend to go for them so much now. I do love this though. After an hour or so, a lot of vanilla comes through, and there's something in it that reminds me of Britney's fantasy, specifically the midnight fantasy. It's not a perfume I'd call sophisticated, it's definitely sexy and I think it would be a crowd pleaser because it smells yummy and sweet, but it's got no edge. I plan on layering it with Oud 24 hours, which I absolutely love but find to be slightly too masculine.

I bought this fragrance as there are no sellers here in my country that sells Lattafa Vintage Radio. I have not smelled Initio Paragon so I don't know how close this is with the original. Hence, I'm reviewing scent profile for the first time. The opening is not my favorite at all. It opens up with this synthetic leather that smells like genuiine leather goods with a hint of fruitiness. Once you survive the first 30 minutes of leatherness, it opens up into this very very sweet plum floral powdery scent that is mixed with the leather it had earlier. I can't believe fruit and leather scent smells nice together combined. It's amazing. Smells kind of musky too I wish it's more woody than leathery but God, I didn't expect myself to like this fragrance. It is a blind buy too. Unisex but I think the leathery notes makes it more masculine. A solid 9.2/10 fragrance.

*disclamer, I've never smelt Paragon or Vintage Radio, I have a 10 ml sample and I'm gonna let it macerate because I've heard this scent has problems with that it can change very suddenly for the better once the juice gets oxygen. Thus I'm not rating yet. I did not expect for the opening to smell like Red Tobacco by Mancera but it does. Cinnamon plus pear/apple/plum sweetness, it's so sweet it stings if you bury your nose to it. Just how Eros smells italian, Loewe 7 Cobalt smells Spanish and some fragrances smell "arabian", this one smells distinctly French. In the air it smells like santal wood with a touch of some old ladyish florals, that's it. I don't pick up any freshness or lavender. It feels like a feminine fragrance with a masculine twist, all genders can rock this. I don't know how I feel about it, Imma give it time and return with a full review

I wanted so bad to like this, but this is one of very few perfumes that I have really disliked. I have never tried Paragon Initio, so I can't speak to how this is in comparison, but Al Nashama is to me incredibly sweet and overly syrupy. I don't know if the problem is my amateur nose, but the plum is really the only note I can understand here. In general I love leather notes, and they usually are quite distinct and easily picked up, but here it just all blends in to a thick syrup mess. I have not been able to make it past the first hour of wearing without scrubbing it off, so maybe there is a beautiful dry down lurking around the corner? I am not sure I will ever be able to make it to that point though. For now she is hidden in the back of my closet, and I will for sure try to revisit her again in 6 months or so.

I did not expect to love this as much as I do. Anything with bergamot and pink pepper always gets me but i was nervous about that black pepper and moss note. I can definitely smell the pink pepper & black pepper upon first spray, which smells a lot more masculine. But! Once this dries down, wow, it's so incredibly sophisticated, spicy and sexy and definitely turns more unisex or even more feminine on my skin. I'm very curious to see how this will be in a couple of months. I don't think this is blind buy safe, and for the girls that like fresh, floral, bright scents, this might not be up your alley. However, everyone's skin chemistry is different so who knows 🤷♀️give it a try!

I don't think I own any more beautiful fragrance than Al Nashama, and Vintage Radio. I'm not sure a more beautiful fragrance even exists. This is a sweeter and less woody version of Vintage Radio. I think Vintage Radio is a little more aromatic, woody, and a little more prickly/fizzy in the air. You could almost say it's his and hers, but they are both unisex. I love the plum note, and how it never gets too sweet, or too gourmand for my taste. It does almost get to a point where it smells like a drink or something, but never to an edible point. It lasts 24hrs as a skin scent, but it only has moderate projection for at least 6-12hrs. Freaking wonderful!

Nose Note #521 I'd say this smells enigmatic. Nice rather realistic sour and a little sweet plum note. Soft leather. It's altogether a soft scent. Nothing harsh right from the get-go. And to me that's leaning feminine. I really like it, but I can't imagine myself wearing it. If you like typical mens fougeres, you may also like this a lot like I did. But between this and say Terre d'Hermes the choice is clear to me. So it may become an occasional fragrance for men. For women - daily scent, easy. I think it's inoffensive enough to wear everyday and altough it's strong and long-lasting I didn't find it tiring at all. 8/10, pretty, a little youthful

I haven’t smelled Paragon nor Vintage Radio to make any comparisons but this one on its own is just beautiful to me. I get juicy plum on woody base, pretty inoffensive, and not screechy at all. I find it so versatile, I’d say unisex leaning feminine but I can totally smell it in a man. I’ve gotten at least 3 compliments already, I find it better suited for summer or spring occasions. I find it an easy-to-like scent and I get great performance out of it, it doesn’t project too much but I could still smell whiffs of it around my neck after more than 6 hours. Great buy, though I wouldn’t say it’s a safe blind but, I got a sample first

Definitely similar to Vintage Radio, you probably don't need both. However, since I adore Vintage Radio so much, I will justify buying a full bottle of Al Nashama to wear during the warmer months. Al Nashama is a plum-forward, but it is lighter, sweeter, and more feminine-leaning compared to VR. VR is more woody and herbal. My bottle of VR has become increasingly woody and masculine-leaning with maturation, so I may as well use Al Nashama for layering with it. Ultimately, I find Al Nashama to be an easy, year-round fragrance suitable for any occasion.

Out of the bottle smells pretty similar to Paragon, but on skin and with time on clothes it becomes much more fruitier and sweeter, wich is appealing to me. It has a greeness to it that resembles Paragon and i think it makes it unisex. My boyfriend also likes it and wears it, as well as i do. It stays on the skin at least for 6 hours, but with time it projects less, i'd say 3-4 hours of good projection. When u spray it it's really strong, after 4 sprays it's choking me, but with time it becomes pleasant, like i can smell it, but its not disturbing.

Funny enough, even though this perfume is one of my absolute favorites, I completely forgot to write a review until almost a year later 😅. I truly love it! It carries a mature and elegant vibe, with a touch of retro charm ✨. The sweetness is beautifully balanced by the rich plum note, and I can definitely pick up the pink pepper too 🌸. It’s a bit complex, but that’s exactly what makes it special. I adore layering it with Tiramisu Speculoos by Ministry of Gourmand 🍰—they complement each other perfectly. Enough said, this one has my heart ❤️.

I love this straight out of the box! This was a safe blind buy for me - smells niche, a sweeter twist on Paragon. The plum is the same jammy, almost cloying plum accord used in Berlinetta - Maison Alhambra Bibliotheque clone. This is plum syrup, pink pepper and dusty suede, bergamot gives a nice bright opening. Lasts forever, projects well for the first 2 hours, got a few compliments on my first wear. Dry down 12 hours later is a dusty, sweet lipsticky scent that I absolutely adore. This is only going to get better now I’ve opened it up 😍😍

The only reason that someone could mistake (yes.. mistake) this as feminine , is that it has this plum sweet note. Otherwise I cannot understand why. I am wearing this right now and I have to give it thumbs up , for a first wearing of a Lattafa , that usually they get much better in time , this is quite good. I don't perceive any alcohol, it's quite well blended , I get the woods, and also the plum (as I said) and I like what I am getting. So I am curious as to how this will be wearing on me come say 3 months from now.

Perfume dulce en el que destaca bastante la nota de ciruela hasta en su secado, donde se mezcla perfectamente con el ámbar para darle ese dulzor aún más notable. No es la típica fragancia frutal. En su salida no me enamoró pero pasados unos minutos se convirtió en uno de mis favoritos. No tenía altas expectativas pero fue una grata sorpresa. Olor: 9/10 Duración: Permanece en piel hasta el día siguiente y en ropa mucho más. 10/10 Estela: Moderada/Alta Lo volvería a comprar sin duda!

Alright, last time I said I'm not gonna rate it yet because people say this can change suddenly due to maceration and oh boy did it change. It went from Red Tobacco layered with an obnoxious old lady perfume to a plum and palo santo masterpiece. Put this in a goofy bottle, call it El Secreto Excomunicacionis del Cielo de Granada or some insane sh!t like that and people will buy it for $500 It's unisex leaning masculine and it lasts 9 hours. Undescribable, just buy it.

I already made a review of this, but promised to come back after trying it again some months later. Well, it's now been 3 months and I just decided to give it a new go....And wow what a difference! Spicy and dark plum, with a little fresh citrus and warm cozy amber. Nothing like the synthetic syrupy mess I smelled last time. Definitely more suitable for cold weather, very nice, and very sexy, but still too fruity for it to be something I personally would reach for.

I've had mine for over a year now, when I first got it, the pepper and the patchouli were prominent, now that it has macerated, the plum is more pronounced and sweeter and the patchouli and pepper are in the background making it much smoother. It has a vintage DNA I'm guessing from the spice and patchouli. It's still a love for me as it's unusual and high quality. It can be worn in all seasons and for all occasions. A love for me

I'm a very girly female and I love this scent. It's addictive and difficult to my collection. I'm getting a nice fresh smooth herbal scent. I love this at night after a shower and cuddle. This lasts all night to the next day without being an overpowering beast. It's very smooth and slightly creamy which may lean feminine but this is unisex. If you smelled Radio from Lataffa this is the same but smoother.

I love this. Every time I put it on, a few hours into wearing it I catch a whiff & find myself thinking "omg what is that incredible smell?!" & then I remember what I put on. It really shines in the dry down. I can maybe see some women not liking it if you're not into unisex or peppery scents. I definitely pick up on the pepper. I've never smelled paragon but on it's own, this is a great fragrance.

I have Vintage Radio and I found it quite woody and masculine so I decided to get this. I made the right choice and now I am getting rid of VR for this. More feminine, sweeter & fruitier, less woody and "airy", a little denser. But great. Exactly what I hoped it would be. But I hate that damn plastic cheap cap and ugly bottle. Much cheaper than I thought it would be. Oh well.

Sweet and smooth delicacy I just love how this fragrance projects from my skin. That delicately sweet jasmine floral bouquet of this fragrance is alluring and enchanting. I haven't tried Vintage Radio from Lattafa yet but I positively feel like I don't need to. I just love that delicious plummy jasmine delicacy this is. It has that smooth warming woody muskiness😇

I am big fan of Paragon’s DNA but this one is more versatile and more refreshing. The plum note is dominant giving it a fruity summer vibe that I love. If you want a better dupe for paragon go for vintage radio but if you want something more sweet, refreshing and more versatile Al Nashama is the better option especially for hot summer days.

I have a fairly large fragrance wardrobe, including most price points, but I can’t stop wearing this one. The plum is intoxicating and very well blended with the entire composition. The juicy opening never leaves, even hours into the dry down. The black pepper zing elevates the patchouli. I really love this.

smell so good unfortunately longevity is so weak 2hours max maybe need maceration but for now in winter poor performance even if this stuff smell so good and worth buying just for that beautiful package and fragrance bottle but l will see if maceration can do better cuz this is new release of this year 👍

Al nashama is awesome! It's sweet and warm , very cozy! My most complimented this year.great in heat great in fall.price is reducing from the original asking price so I will be buying another also just purchased the blue caprice its on the way im sure it won't be dissapointing.enjoy!

Instant love! It’s a fruity, aromatic, slightly spicy fragrance- to my nose the plum remains the dominant note everything is centered around throughout the wear of the fragrance, giving this a feminine lean. Great longevity and moderate projection. I’ll wear this year round.

Oh my God, this smells really good. It definitely leans more feminine, but I honestly don’t mind that at all. The performance is great it lasts a long time and projects well. The plum note is very noticeable and adds a rich, sweet touch. Overall, it just smells amazing.

👄🤌🏻 Chef's Kiss. Beautiful. Divine. This smells wonderful. I had Vintage Radio and decided to get this as well since it was described as a little fruiter and more feminine than VR. It's true - this is a delicious, juicy, aromatic, and herbal masterpiece of a fragrance.

The amber and plum in the opening are lovely. The plum fades out too soon for me but you're left with a slightly more masculine scent until it fades. I just wish there was some way to make that plum last longer. If they could, I would buy a liter of this.

This is my favorite fragrance by Lattafa so far. Warm, sweet, fruity, and slightly gourmand scent, it's a type of smell nobody can hate. Longevity and projection are really good right out of the box, I was getting whiffs even after 8 hours.

This is a love for me. It's so aromatic but just sweet enough to make a woman comfortable enough to wear. I wore it to my corporate job with no issues and smelled fresh all day. This is no a girly fragrance buy as a girly I enjoy it.

I didn't expect to like this as much as I do. The plum and leather combo is really good. I've never smelled vintage radio or paragon but this is very good. Performance is above average too which is good for this profile. 9/10.

Rich, warm, intoxicating and craaazy long-lasting. I have the feeling this is going to be the next big thing from Lattafa. I'm ordering it as we speak before the price skyrockets, like with Khamrah.

Compared it next to Vintage Radio. Tried to find a difference — maybe there’s slightly more sweetness in Al Nashama, and it is less dry. Anyway, both are really great

It's pretty much Khamrah with plum but with out some notes once settled down. I prefered wearing this over Khamrah. The opening is really nice.

Fruity herbal with a gorgeous leather note. It's unissex, meaning feminine. My boyfriend jokes I smell of cooking herbs but I disagree

This reminds me of Khamrah but without the date & cinnamon. More feminine warm/sweet/tangy.
