Art of Arabia I

I bought this in my craze for tea based fragrances after purchasing and loving Odyssey Limoni Fresh from Armaf (HIGHLY RECOMMEND). I got hooked on tea fragrances and especially the Imagination DNA. This so far is Number 1 in my ranking of tea fragrances in my collection. In case you're interested, here's my top 6 tea fragrances overall (not all imagination clones) : 1.Art of Arabia 1 (favorite tea fragrance period right now) 2.Lattafa Liam Gray (chai latte in fragrance form - 10/10) 3.Lattafa Dynasty (relaxing elegance on a budget, amazing) 4.Odyssey Limoni Fresh (Smells like a cold glass of lemonade iced tea) 5.Marwa (the one I consider an imagination clone) 6.CK One Essence (clean, relaxed citrus and tea-casual) That being said: I would not say this is the best imagination clone out there, and that is because I don't believe it's even attempting to be a one to one clone of it. This is an inspired by fragrance, and I think is the absolute best of the imagination style DNA. Better than Marwa, better than Aqua Dubai, better than Full House, on it's own as a fragrance. And my favorite fragrance in my entire collection right now. The opening for AoA is super bright, zingy and citrusy with a nice freshness from the mint. You really get the bergamot in this opening. The bergamot fades somewhat quickly and leaves a clean fresh mid of ginger, tea, and lavender. The mint does hang around in this one for a while in the mid. The combo is fresh and clean, and very inviting. The frankincense is the star of the drydown, giving it a super smooth, warm but still clean, almost creamy base. I find it hard to really put the drydown into words but I find it super addicting. I would not say that this fragrance is soapy at all, leaning more fresh and aromatic than say, Aqua Dubai for example, which is pure soap for the most part. It's a perfect in the middle fragrance. It's not too formal, professional, loud, casual, or playful. Wear this for literally whatever you want if you just want a nice no brainer fragrance that will get compliments from the people who notice it. I absolutely ADORE this fragrance. And at an incredible price, it's hard to go wrong. I got mine for less than 30 dollars. If you love tea fragrances, get this. If you like the imagination DNA, get this. If you want the closest imagination clone, this isn't it. If you want a clone and like the ginger tea combo of imagination, get marwa. If you like the soapy aspects of imagination, get aqua dubai. This is a unique fragrance within the imagination DNA. It has enough character to stand out on it's own and in my opinion is more exciting than the imagination clones. There's nothing wrong with them not being particularly exciting, I still love them to death and it's one of my favorite DNAs, but it is simple fresh and clean. Just smells nice. Not really a club fragrance or anything like that. It has a purpose, I think. Overall, 10/10 for sure. So I literally got this frag 10 mins ago ( home delivery) . This was also a blind buy due to all the hype and my curiosity for an LV dupe. I actually never smelled LV imagination before but read the positive reviews and recommendations as a fresh summer frag which was my plan from the beginning. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm in love. This frag is crazy! It keeps changing minute by minute. The opening is very close to turathi blue except that TB is more bitter due to the grape fruit while AOA1 is more limey. Then it changes into something less pleasant , a bitter note I can't really place anywhere. Then it becomes pure magic! It becomes a bit more feminine but not in a " unmanly " way. It's soo comforting and all I can imagine is a pink fuzzy heartshaped pillow. ( Don't ask why) This is a great fragrance although a bit overpriced. I'm really really happy I bought this. It's going to be an awesome summer frag for those really warm summer days. This is so good you guys , I'm totally sold. If this gets better with maceration, it's going to be an incredible scent. I already love it as it is , straight out of the box and first sprays on hand. So far longivety and sillage are good but not as strong as higher end perfumes although more than enough on those hot days. Lattafas pride line seems to be really good so I might try more of those in the future God willing! In conclusion awsome , greate summer frag, romance in a bottle and worth the somewhat high price. Can't stop smelling it! Please remember this is based on my humble , amateur beginner , untrained nose opinion. ** Small update ** Nothing comes close to this scent, it's perfect. I'm going to get a backup bottle, it's so good!

Art of Arabia I by Lattafa opens with a noticeable alcohol blast that I found fairly unpleasant, though it only lasted for about a minute. Once that subsided, I was left with a crisp, slightly rindy citrus alongside a noticeable tea note and a clear ambroxan presence. A subtle soapy aspect sat in the background, and while the fragrance had some density to it, it was still fresh and smooth overall. As it developed, the citrus, tea, ambroxan, and soapiness blended together into a cohesive structure. The fragrance became increasingly airy and seamless, creating the type of texture that immediately reminded me of Imagination. While it never reached the same level of crispness or effervescence, the overall feel was the closest I have experienced from a fragrance in this style. Through the middle of the wear, the soapy facets became slightly more prominent while the citrus and tea remained clearly present. Later, the ambroxan began to take on a larger role and an incense-like note emerged, adding depth and a touch of density to the composition. As this happened, the fragrance slowly moved away from the airy texture that made the first few hours so impressive. Performance was decent, lasting around six hours on my skin. Overall, I thought this was a good fragrance and one of the better interpretations of this style that I have tried. The biggest strengths were the tea accord, the smooth citrus, and especially the texture during the first few hours. However, the rough opening and the loss of that airy character in the later stages held it back for me. It captured some of what makes Imagination appealing, but never quite reached the same level of refinement. Score: 8.0/10

I have never smelt Imagination, but I own and love Marwa. Right off the bat, marwa is more grassy, while the top notes of this is lemony. Unfortunately, it's the toilet cleaner type of lemon. Marwa they goes to the tea note quite fast, while Arabia I goes to grass. Marwa also has a really nice, feminine jasmine note on me that this actually also has (although not listed), but it's a little weaker. At the very final drudown, Art of Arabia 1 has a some slightly peppery notes, which are nice; these are absent from Marwa. The lemony toilet cleaner stays throughout the longevity of this perfume, but VERY faintly, and this has a tiny bit less jasmine, which is why I prefer Marwa, of the two. However, had Marwa been discontinued or raised in price, I would buy this, no issues - they're very similar, really. You definitely get the gist of what Marwa is about from this, but Marwa is stronger, slightly sweeter and longer lasting. However, I could definitely enjoy having both. They ARE 95% the same, AT LEAST. My husband says this smells like a spa, while Marwa is slightly fresher, but both made him smile ;)

I got this a couple of days ago and I really like it. It's winter here at this moment so the fragrance seems a bit tame, but I bet it will shine in warm weather and hot summer. I can't compare it to LV since I've never smelled that one. It is very fresh and bright and uplifting, clean smelling. I am super glad with my purchase, I paid around 44€ for it including shipping, but to be honest I'd easily pay twice, maybe even thrice for this one. One more thing - the presentation is absolutely insane. You get a foil wrapped, heavy cardboard box. In that box is a silver lined cardboard cassette, and when you open it, inside is a bottle that weights like half a kilo (= a pound). The bottle is heavy, sprayer is ok (I've seen much worse sprayers on much more expensive frags, for example Tom Ford Noir Extreme Parfum). It almost feels like 95% of the price was used for the packaging and bottle. So if you're considering buying this one as a gift (male or female, it is entirely unisex), the recipient will think you've just spent like 300 bucks on them.

This Is My First Tea Scent, And The Reviews Nailed It. The Opening Spray, Blasts You With A Very Zesty Lipton Brand Lemon Tea. After A Few Minutes, You Get Gentle Lavender And Ginger Playing Together In The Background. The Mid It’s Just A Delicate Symphony Bubble Of Lemon Tea/ Ginger / Ambroxan / Lavender And A Little Light Pine Wood From The Frankincense. Lavender, Is What Balances This Scent For The Projection. Without It, You’d Be Left With Lemon Ginger Ale Soda. The Dry Down Ditches The Lemon And Stays Floral, Sweet Ginger, And A Hint Of Pine Wood. Slightly Boring, But Soft And Floats Around Nicely. Soapy. Clean. (For Those Who Have Never Smelled Tea Scent, The First Thought Was Black Licorice. But After A Few Seconds, You Know It’s Tea Floating Around You. Floral, Light, Gentle, And Unisex For Sure Leaning Masculine.) Longevity: 4-5 Hours Projection: 2-3 Feet Bubble Compliment Factor: Wouldn’t Expect Many, But Personally A Top 5 For Me Overall: 8.6 / 10

Imagination, but make it greener, make it more bitter, and make it disappear faster than you when your extended family comes over for supper. The tea note is nice, but I don't prefer it to the OG. This one is more herbaceous and bitter than the mix of citrusy freshness you get with Imagination. However, I do find it still refined, relaxing, and almost meditative in a way. I did get a compliment within the first hour of wear, which was pleasant. But the performance is abysmal. I’m talking “don’t bother spraying unless you’re outside of the door to the event” bad. It vanishes from my skin after 2 hours, and by vanish I don’t mean turns into a skin scent. I mean gone. Evaporated. Donezo. It does project at moderate distance though. At $40, you’d think it would be decent value, but if you’re reapplying this eight times a day just to get whafts from it, it’s not even worth that price. The cost-per-wear ratio doesn't equate. Good scent, terrible longevity.

Fresh, citrus tea. Performs great in summer heatwaves. It's a really close match to Imagination- worn by itself, it smelled just like it. But trying them side by side, AoA is sharper and a bit sweeter, while the guaiac wood makes Imagination smoother. Also, AoA has mint, while Imagination has ginger. However, both of those notes aren't really noticeable on me until I tried them side by side. I wouldn't smell this and think it's minty, nor would I think that Imagination is really ginger forward, but that could be due to my skin chemistry. I'm a woman, and consider this to be perfectly unisex, though my tastes tend to lean away from ultra-feminine florals/fruits/gourmands (with a few exceptions) so if you like smelling "girly," this might be too masculine for you. This might be the best value fragrance I have bought this year. It's not just good for the price, it's a really good fragrance in general.

I was looking for the cleanest, soapiest and freshest scent i could find, and i'm really glad that i stumbled upon this. Starts with the strong but pleasant citrus asociated with imagination clones, only that this smells very similar to sprite, in a good way. The citrus opening seems to last about an hour, which a lot shorter than other imagination interpretations, even the original. In the drydown you get the tea, olibanum and still some freshness from the mint that pairs very well with the soapiness it develops. Good projection and about 8 hours longevity, incredible for such a fresh scent. Don't expect a 1:1 clone to imagination, it's maybe 80% similar, the mint gives it a different feel, it's a bit less citrus forward in the opening, has some more greeness and projects maybe a little less. Totally worth it, the quality is insane for the price.

Opens with a zesty burst of citrus, very natural smelling. I really like this straight away. Then there’s mint and ginger, adding to that zesty freshness - very nice! Top marks immediately. There’s lavender, adding to the very clean feel and black tea, augmenting the airiness and lending a calming vibe. This is an upmarket summer freshie for sure. Not strong and overpowering like some Lattafas, you can spray this liberally and it won’t annoy others, possibly the opposite as it’s extremely inoffensive. Some might even say it’s weak juice. My only complaint is that, like many freshies, all the fresh top notes fade too fast, leaving a rather weak, bland base. This one is definitely a win from Lattafa though and I might be buying a full bottle - my 5ml sample is not going to last until summer.

Nose Note #814 I haven't smelled the OG, but I had Saheb Intense and Essence de Blanc, and I enjoyed all of them quite a lot. Honestly, just from memory - this one is much the same as the other two. This reminds me of jasmine tea with honey-like linden added and all this mixture is soapy. Just amazing and I love how easy it is to describe and how unique and memorable it is. Maybe it's a little masculine leaning, but I have to gender attached in my mind to this DNA, especially because one of my friends wears Saheb Intense all the time and she is a dame. Any scent may get boring or tiring, but so far I absolutely love this Imagination DNA. 9.2/10, for performance is average though, I wish this could be a beast

Lattafa has done it again; this smells absolutely fantastic! Throughout my wear, I constantly smell a subtle mint with heavy tea notes, not like an earthy tea, but more so a warm cup of light green tea. For some reason, this scent gives me a feeling of happiness and nostalgia. I adore it. Just like everyone says, this smells like very clean soap. I tried Aqua Dubai by Al Haramain, and I can say it smells so much better than Aqua Dubai. I just remember that one smelling like someone diluted hand soap into a perfume bottle; it had no depth or feeling. This one, however, has a feeling of luxury and passion, it's difficult to describe, maybe I just love it that much.

holy shit. i bought finally pulled the trigger on imagination after wanting it for months and months. then i got this too on the side just to see if it even compares (didn't matter either way, i wanted an lv frag anyways). but this stuff is crazy... the opening is super off imo, barely even smells like imagination but the drydown is literally almost exactly the same. i will say imagination is def stronger, has a better tea note, better quality but you can't bash this because its like 1/10th the price. prob will not be refilling my imagination, i just have to test the performance on this for a couple days and ill update yall.

#1355 in my "Tour de Fragrance" People are imagining this is a cheap dupe of Louis Vuitton "Imagination." It's not. But it is a nice freshie, less citric than the LV, more soapy. It slightly more resembles Mauboussin Homme to my nose. Ard Al Zafaran's "Saheb Intense" is a clone of "Imagination", if that's what you want. This is a greener leaning scent thanks to strong tea and incense notes. I started out liking it in the opening, but in the dry down I started loving it. It's inexpensive, masculine, adequate performance. Car pool, elevator and small office safe. A year rounder good for any use. A blind buy I am happy with.

Very close to Imagination with a minty twist starts with a fresh minty bergamot than goes to a clean soapy feel with green nuances, The quality is outstanding for the price, and it doesn't have that synthetic smell that some of the Lattafa perfumes have, especially in the mid and the dry down. Performance was very good. I had 7-8 hours of longevity and a strong 1-2 hours of great projection, and people in the other room could smell me. One of the best alternatives to LV Imagination and the Zara clone is horendous compared to this one. I give it a 9 on 10 and its blind buy worthy.

Great fragrance, but if you’re looking for a 1:1 of Imagination then this probably isn’t it. Imagination is more “delicate”, softer, more feminine but Art of Arabia 1 is bolder, denser, more robust, and more masculine. Like Imagination is more effervescent and transparent and this seems like the airy ambroxan/iso e/white musks were toned down and replaced with higher concentrations of lavender, tea, and citrus compounds, if that makes sense. Longevity and projection here are better than the original. Three sprays in the air carried throughout my whole house.

Just received this in the mail and it smells great. To me, it smells EXACTLY like the dry down of Herba Fresca by Guerlain. I have been wearing Herba Fresca for years but the longevity is absolutely terrible. Any improvement to that would be lovely but, if not, I am only paying about 10%-15% the cost for this. If you like Herba Fresca, I highly recommend it. * After about 45 minutes the lavender starts to come through and it no longer smells exactly like HF but still very pleasant (and not too masculine). Perfect daytime/work perfume.

Exactly what you would expect from this cologne. A fresh ginger opening with a very prominent tea note. Smells like a masculine Arizona can. Even though it is fresh and sweet, the Ambroxan and Frankincense adds a very manly scent to it. Perfect for me to use at the gym and daily errands. Very strong for the first 3 hours. Then almost nose blind to the user, but I’ve gotten compliments even after 4 hours. Edit: After 3 hours it becomes a skin scent with a more ambery-tea smell. Women love this, my most complimented scent yet.

Ok I did not expect to love this one right off, I ordered a bunch of decants and had forgotten the note breakdown for this one. Just wow ! i am ordering one asap because this is fire, citrusy fresh with a touch of lavender and a prominent note that is not overdone and doesnt overshadow the other ingredients. It may be one of the smoothest and most well blended scents I have smelled as of today. I get vibes from Eros because of the mint but here it is an even better mint note. this is blind buy worthy.

update to my last review: the performance is just okay. 5 hours longevity at the max- strong projecting for 1-2 ish hours. it has a little twist on it that I didn’t realize before - once it gets to that 3 hour mark it starts to become this almost manly like scent and smells almost kinda weird. this fragrance is at best like 70% close to imagination. is it the $450 difference worth it between these two? it’s up to you. if you have the budget then go with imagination, this will just scratch the itch.
