Embrace

Embrace easily slipped under the radar. It doesn't have the name recognition, the obvious inspiration, or the TikTok hype cycle that usually drives attention in this segment, and in that sense it feels a bit like a forgotten corner of the Lattafa catalogue. It is, quite plainly, a proper dirty & green fougère with a distinctly Middle Eastern sensibility. It opens gingery and herbal, with what may be a touch of acidic artemisia in the mix. There is some bergamot there too, but fresh ginger clearly leads the way. Early on, it leans heavily into fir and a balsamic patchouli accord, which gradually gives way to something more ambery and mossy-woody in the drydown. At certain moments, it can smell a bit like a musty, sweaty, old geezer using his new favorite shower gel — but that is part of the fougère DNA, built into the style rather than a flaw unique to Embrace. Because of that, it reads as decidedly masculine, although a ballsy woman could absolutely pull it off thanks to its spring/greenish character. It is one of those slept-on fragrances that I waited a very long time to see pop up on an auction site — probably because no one wants no-name, non-clone Lattafas. I wouldn't have blindly bought it at full price either, but I finally managed to grab a full bottle for €13 shipped. I fully agree with semyonsemyoff on this one, and what I appreciate most here is that it does not smell like a clone, nor does it chase a temporary trend. It feels like a straightforward reinterpretation of basic fougère material. The only real thing it lacks is power. Other than that, it is genuinely unique and well blended. Opening: Strong ginger-herbs beginning with small hints of citruses 8/10 Later: The ginger is still aparent, however, pleasant mossy notes appear as well. Herbal background is still strong 8/10 Projection and sillage: The projection is moderate - a few hours of moderate projection after which it becomes a skin scent 6.5/10 Price:quality 9/10 Overall: 7.5/10 Overall: One key word - ginger. If you like ginger it's really a scent for you. Besides the ginger the perfume has a strong herbal background along with mossy notes. I find the scent really well balanced and pleasant in its reception. Right now I don't have that many opportunities for wearing a scent so I just use Afnan's SNOI which has 60-70% similar profile but if I had more opportunities, I'd certainly buy it for its lovely ginger profile. I'd say that the price:quality ratio in this one is excellent. The only thing which could've been better is projection but it is in no means weak (just not strong or nuclear like SNOI).

Nose Note #864 A masculine citrus-minty fougere. It feels somewhat cold, has a cooling effect. The wormwood note is as soft as it gets. It says it has balsamic notes, incense and benzoin, but I'm not getting much of that. It's a dark scent, but it still feels fresh. It's kind of like AdG Profumo, but this has nothing to do with AdG. This is actually so nice. It's definately a mens scent. A little sweet. As it dries down it becomes even better. Why it hasn't been added to Fragrantica for a couple of years is beyond me. I've been submiting it twice in 2025, but my posts were ignored. It's just a wonderful fougere. Nothing like I've had before. A little niche-smelling, but it's very likeable Upd. it has a little something from stuff like Nishane Ani, some of this lemon tart in the distance 8.5/10, unique

I immediately get the incense in with lighter bergamot and ginger on open that eases into strong fir and residual incense. Near the end of the heart I get a somewhat earthy patchouli coming through that bridges into a base of a oakmoss, which then transitions from earthy back to creamy and resinous. It's worth noting this took about a month to come into it's own as for the first several weeks it felt a bit disjointed and rougher; the oxidation smoothed it out. This is pretty nice.

I'm not the biggest fan of aromatics, so when I got it I wasn't really expecting much. This is my favourite aromatic besides greenly. A mossy earthy sweetness with that classic aromatic base, and a bit of smokiness.

This unironically smells like sweaty balls. I cannot get a single note of ginger or patchouli. Imagine not showering for 5 days and smelling your crotch after a workout. Genuinely disgusting.

I bought this perfume at Mustafa, a VERY famous mall here in SG about a year ago. Initially I don't like it, but it has been a year now and I wanted to declutter it but waiiiit a minute....I randomly layered it with something else. Soooo.... just today I layered it with Zara Mystic Rose, and omigoshhh.... what an amazing combo. This frag is SO UNIQUE. I would definitely repurchase it. I love the refreshing ginger note and would wear it to the gym 🏋🏽♀️

Yet another very solid release from the house of Lataffa. This opens with a spicy and unique ginger and patchouli kick then dries down to a nice masculine profile that lasts and projects very well. I still in awe that the middle eastern fragrance houses can release fragrances this good with this amount of value. These designer houses are getting their asses kicked.
