Haya

Haya was one of my first Middle Eastern fragrances, and for over a year sitting with my decant, I talked myself out of buying a full bottle. Too weak. Too generic. Too simple. And yet, despite owning more than 150 perfumes, I kept coming back to it. Today, with summer finally here, I wore it again and realized that Haya is simply irreplaceable in my collection. Wearing it feels like stepping into a watercolor painting. It's soft, sweet, airy, and unapologetically feminine. It makes me feel girly, clean, pretty, carefree, and happy. Yes, it becomes a skin scent on me after about 1.5 hours. Yes, I wish it lasted 3–4 hours longer. But I don't want the scent itself to change, I just want more time with it. There are much better performers in my collection. There are many unique fragrances. But when I want a truly girly summer scent, Haya is still the one I reach for. And after two years, I think that says everything. Try for yourself and it might have the same magic for you.

This was a blind buy for me & I LOVE THISSS!! the opening is sparkly champagne with tangerine/blood orange... followed by DELICIOUS strawberries and cream! the white florals come in next, which cuts through the sweetness of the creamy strawberry and stops it from being cloying! The rose note is subtle, almost undetectable to me... the white florals overpower it. It is a sweet gourmand but does NOT smell juvenile, it is well blended & has depth! 10 mins in the amber and sandalwood come through which give it a "rich" "smokey" vibe!! i wish it was stronger/better longevity but since it is a light and intimate scent, it'll be better for warmer weather. UPDATE: it has WAY better longevity on clothing, it lasts up to 4 hours before it gets faint! still would not say it's a beast though, it’s an intimate scent with bad silage and lasting power is about 1-2 hours on skin - i find myself topping up after an hour!!

Reviews were spot on; it's a little bit of Ari and a little bit of Juicy DNA. Absolute love - office/school safe and a crowd pleaser. Sits close to the skin and lasts a few hours at most. First spray out of the bottle was soap (disappointing) but just a few hours later the fragrance came through. Hoping that maceration helps with longevity. Paid $35, and considering it performs as a BBW body spray I overpaid. Not sad though. It's lovely and I've worn it nonstop for the three days I've had it. Will try layering (Ari, Juicy, or maybe Yara) for better performance. Speaking of - I struggle with the artificial strawberry in Yara - and I detect none of that in Haya -though it's listed. To my nose it's a well blended light floral, with sweet fruit, and champagne.

Edit- okay I just left Sephora and this is literally Voce Viva Intenza! GORGEOUS. 10/10 Original- This is gorgeous. I will be using this heavily in the upcoming spring/ summer months. Clean, fresh, and bright while fizzy/ effervescent like champagne but not in a sweet or nauseating way. The tangerine and blood orange are crisp and juicy but combined with the florals this is leaning towards a girly clean laundry scent in the best way possible. This laundry note reminds me of a similar note in Valentino Voce viva which is also a clean floral laundry scent to me. They’re not exactly the same but they could be cousins. Haya smells like Voce Viva’s pretty younger cousin who loves pink.

Got this as a birthday present for my mom. I was a bit nervous because it was a blind buy based on reviews and the info found on fragantica, but was VERY pleasently surprised when she opened it and tried it on. Firstly, the packaging is very nice, delicate box that feels luxurious, opens likes a chest, and loved the bottle with a fuzzy texture. Only got to smell the top notes, very marked strawberry with bubbly champagne and some fresh sweet citrus, very faint floral. I will add more detail based on her reports in the future! EDIT: My mom told me it has very good longevity on her, lasting 8hrs on her skin, and that she can smell it on her clothes the next day!
