Hayaati Florence

I just went way down the reviews to see if anyone posted the notes for this. It had been a min since I had worn bc I am testing all my new fall/winter fragrances. I have only had for a lil over a month. Yesterday as I went to review, I thought I may need to wear test. When I sprayed up this morning I start sniffing. Well she has changed of course, so I searched the notes. Well that is not what I am smelling at all, dive deeper. This is what I have already done before I bought, lol. I wanted a VGG smelling fragrance and the notes listed above would not result that. Now, to the review, after 5 wks in the cold dark closet, Florence has matured a lil. I smell all the notes now. Before it was just fruity floral, sweet and tart. I really liked it, but it lacked the slight creamy warmness of VGG. As soon as I sprayed today there was an immediate difference. The opening is less tart, smoother. Still very juicy, but sweet tart. I never smelled the peach before, that is what is smoothing out the bite, softly sweet. That’s what had me searching the real notes, when the peach mingles with the praline & vanilla it provides that slight creaminess. The notes listed above have nothing that can produce this sensation. In the dry down, you are left with a sweet, tart rose with an ever so slight creaminess effect from the peach, praline, amber, & vanilla. That’s the best I can explain. She is really close to VGG. She is loud & goes all night. For the price you pay, you get a really good fragrance that performs. You will get compliments because you will smell like a sweet tart candy. 10/10

I blind bought this one..it's pretty cheap.. I thought why not ? I was worried a little bit at the comparison of lattafa mayar.. unfortunately that one is very sharp to me and has that gasoline smell I can't stand in some ME frags.. I'm happy to say this one doesn't have any unpleasant base note aromachemicals. The opening IS a little bit sharp smelling.. not my favorite part but also my bottle is new so I won't judge it on that. ...but the DRY DOWN is heavenly past 5-10 mins I'm getting this beautiful sweet grapefruity candy like light floral muskiness radiating off my skin. And it seems to last a long time. I mean make no mistake this fragrance is entirely synthetic notes but imo in a good way here as it's smooth and blended .. sometimes synthetic is fresh and clean and just uplifting without smelling like chemicals like Mayar does. Also the price is right... Would I buy this for more than $30 cad ? Maybe.. but I have a lot of fragrances that are sort of similar in my collection, but nothing really grapefruity, so I probably wouldn't spend a lot on it, as I said it's synthetic and a scent profile that's been done, so you're going to not get anything groundbreaking here. But what it does it does well and I think this is an easy reach fragrance that could be signature sent worthy as you could wear it every day.

Hayaati Florence has a classic profile once it macerates. Mine has rested for a couple of months, and now it does fall somewhere between Very Good Girl and Delina, yet is more wearable than either. Florence is a fruity gourmand that manages to work in the heat. Sweet but not too sweet. Really, it's cute. The bottle color provides a clue to its fun, accessible character. Random side note: Has anyone else noticed the bizarre trend of referring to perfumes using feminine pronouns (she, her)? As a native English speaker with a degree in English, I don't claim to know everything about English but I do know we don't assign grammatical genders to inanimate objects normally. The exceptions are to ships or boats. There are probably other specialized exceptions, such as reference to the Church as she in theology. Apart from that, it is the custom among native English speakers to refer to objects such as perfumes as IT (neuter gender). If you are learning English and come from a language with grammatical genders, please don't take offense. If English is your native language, straighten up and use the correct pronoun.

This isn’t new to my collection, but is a recent transition into a Love now that summer is here, and it’s macerated a bit. I really agree with @watermelonice that this is somewhere between Meliora and Delina; the juicy, candy-like ripe fruits of Meliora but the rosy/pink floral and lychee in Delina. I actually bought a full bottle of Delina La Rosee and sold it because I preferred this (it’s a bit more amped and sweeter than La Rosee; the watery accord in DLR just didn’t carry the sweetness well enough for me). What’s always scared me about scents that are described to smell like “candy” is that it will smell synthetic and cheap, since that’s what candy is, but this Lattafa has a green stemmy-ness that accompanies the fruit to ground it as a natural sweetness / just picked ripe kind of vibe. This subtle dimension makes it enjoyable for someone like me who doesn’t like fake fruit scents (and is impressive for this price point)! I layered this with Ex Nihilo Fleur narcotique extract today and really enjoyed the combo, but it stands on its own well and has really excellent longevity.

I blind bought this perfume June 2024. I sprayed it when I first received it and I wasn't impressed. Fast forward to early 2025, and I decluttered quite a few of my Arabian fragrances. However, for some reason I kept this one. Well, I just sprayed this again and I am so glad I kept this one. This has bloomed into a beautiful powdery bouquet of sweetness. I absolutely LOVE this! I wish I had sprayed it months ago. It's fresh, clean, powdery, floral, and grapefruity. I can't stop smelling my arm. This is a really nice surprise. It's good to get away from all the sweet gourmand fragrances sometimes. I've been buying a lot of gourmand fragrances and they have never been my style. But for some reason after I hit 44, my hormones have changed and I love gourmand fragrances. But this perfume reminds me of all the reasons why I've always worn fresh fragrances. This can even be worn in this southern heat and humidity. I can't see me wearing this in the winter. If a fresh floral is your vibe check it out.
