Khurafi

The various conifers lend an almost cooling powdery iris opening, not dissimilar to rosewoods, but this settles quickly, highlighting the agarwood, budha wood, tamarack and black berry. It's floral - almost blue-floral gentiane. Having a tough day? This petal bombshell will be your spirit flourish up to your day. It makes you feel good and happy. And it's not just about the scent - the ingredients are beautifully, lovingly chosen and make for a product that is gentle to your skin. But it's the scent that really makes this product the treat that it is.

I was curious about this scent, and for once it was an inexpensive curiosity to investigate. Khurafi is just wonderful, and even though I usually don't like sweet fragrances this one at least smells of vanilla and nutmeg, in nearly equal measure. It's not fruity or sugary or even gooey. It's really belting out vanilla and nutmeg though, and I only squirted it a little, and close to the skin. I wouldn't want to walk into a cloud of it. Like reviewer Leah Lilly, Fragrantica has the notes wrong. I'll agree with her notes, although it isn't clear what her source was: Notes-Top: Cocoa, Vanilla, Lemon Middle: Cardamom, Cinnamon, Nutmeg Base: Amber. Lemon is a bit of a hard sell, and the vanilla is certainly a middle note, but all the rest are more or less in the right places. I wouldn't wear this every day, but it certainly is cheerful today. And like other reviewers noted, you could easily blend it with other fragrances. I have a couple of disasters I spent big bucks on which might be enhanced with a little of this.

I tested this earlier today at my local Arab perfume shop in Minneapolis. I've gotta thank a fellow Fragrantica member for putting me onto both this shop and this scent! It's a humid, rainy day in May so I shrugged this one off when I sprayed it on because it will be better for winter. As I was driving, I kept getting whiffs of this wonderful chocolate, powdery smell. I can see why people compare this to Valentino Uomo. It has that same chocolate note, but no iris. The notes listed for this fragrance are deceiving. I pick up a hint of incense and oud, but I mostly smell chocolate and a powdery note. The comparison to marshmellows from other reviewers is accurate. I consider this fragrance unisex. A man or woman could easily pull this off. I would recommend anyone that likes gourmands to check this out. I really like this stuff and I am going to return to purchase it this weekend! Great fragrance!

Khurafi is a cozy, sweet and medicinal woody incense, that to me is almost perfect but suffers from the same fate as Al-Rehab Golden Sand where it's reminiscent of a flavored hookah or vape shop. It's got that same synthetic plasticky bubblegum flavored tobacco scent. It has more depth to it than Golden Sand, with some resinous licorice and burnt marshmallow notes along with some dry and earthy woods. I disagree with the comparisons to Al-Rehab Soft and Pink Sugar as Soft is prominently a citrus scent (and there is close to no citrus here), and Soft also smells much less sophisticated, being more reminiscent of a Victoria's Secret body spray or a '00s celebrity fragrance. The cacao here is dry and spicy, and not so much a creamy milk chocolate, but it works well and becomes more prominent with time. Lasts an eternity and has a ton of presence. I'm a fan!

Recently obtained a 100ml bottle as part of a much larger order... WOW...... This is an incredible gourmand incense based fragrance! I have nothing like it in my collection, and find it rather addictive. Aside for the gourmand sweet Vanille, Cacao, and honey.....there is a definite Smokey accord that serves up a toasty, delicious and smooth aspect to this simple yet so very rich and complex fragrance. Wholly unisex, trace amounts of precious Oud and perhaps cedar, Guaic and/or Sandalwood. Lattafa is not too keen on their reveals , note wise...so you have to figure it out yourself.. Oriental, exotic, Rich, decadent, extremely satisfied with this .... Have been wearing this with their Raghba Wood Intense...and the two together are absolutely fantastic. I may have to break out my Hookah to celebrate Bravo , Lattafa The Verdict: EXCELLENT

I was just about to buy "Armaf - Signature True" because I was longing for a Strawberry-Vanilla fragrance. Then, I remembered I had this frag in my storage bin. I took it out...sprayed on my forearm...and found the exact sweet creamy fruity-vanilla I'd been craving! This frag is so light, but strong and lasting!! I'll be wearing this as my base layer for EVERYTHING the rest of this week. I think I'll get another bottle of this instead of saving up for "Burberry - Goddess". This projects WAY more... Will have to remember to order a backup bottle before Saturday... EDIT: Gah...my bottle started leaking when I spray it. =[ After about 5-6 sprays it leaks a drop or two...bleh. I really dont want to decant this and rehost. I'll have to figure out why it leaks....

NOTE: As stated by other reviewers...the notes listed are for "KHURAFI OUD" not "KHURAFI". Okay...now that I have this in-hand instead of on order...I know EXACTLY what this smells like. "Lattafa - Nebras" (Eilish clone) BUT...with no creamy VANILLA!! This is that same super-sugary fruity sweetness...minus the heavier creamy vanilla found in Nebras. This one might be better in the summer! But...as I said, I just received delivery of the frag, perhaps it will blossom in time. I hoped to get more than the sugary fruity side of it at the start...but I guess not. Time will tell. UPDATE: Okay, strangely...I get a MUCH longer wear out of Khurafi than I do with Nebras!! Khurafi is also "Strawberry-Vanilla", a scent combo that I NEEDED in my collection!!!!

Big love for me. Yes, I know notes are definitely wrong! and I believe this is actually a perfume by Al Reehab. Not Lataffa.. at least that's what it says on my bottle anyways and it is exactly like this one pictured. unless it's a division of Lataffa. It's smells , sweet, vanilla,chocolate and delicious. I smell Amber here as well, the oud.. is smooth and sweet. I think the notes are totally wrong. I think there's several other notes that are in here .. it also reminds me of Kayali vanilla oud. Only way stronger. i've had it for about three years and it is so strong now. I wore it tonight and my girlfriend said what the heck do you have on? that smells so good! Projecting like crazy..

10/10 Honey, vanilla, chocolate, coffee and yes marshomellows. This reminds me of Angel AMen so much it would be a perfect mate for the new pure wood by that designer. It also reminds me of a stronger more focused Uomo by Valentino. Love this so much. Hard to find but worth the search. Smells very expensive and the bottle is awesome. The label is made of leather and the top has real wood. I have bought a few of these middle eastern fragrances now and I must say the quality is just as good or better than Creed or Tom Ford. These people are masters. Truly amazing gourmand fragrance.

Oh Khurafi, lovely scented comfort in a bottle! Without doubt one of my most favourite fragrances; the best one I own from this house. Sweet, rich, long lasting - a most glorious vanilla incense oud. Huggable like a cashmere wrap; delicious and rich like the best desserts. Who wouldn't want to smell like a scrumptious pudding, full of oozy lush perfection? Yet, it's not too sweet but so supremely wearable, especially during the colder months. Such a gem and naturally, I have a back-up bottle, too. Wonderful and, yes, of course it is highly recommended.

As mentioned previously the notes they have listed are incorrect. And there definitely are resemblances between Aqualina's Black Sugar and Pink Sugar. So if Pink Sugar had too much of that burnt sugar/licorice vibe I'd try this one. It has the sensuality of the Black Sugar. If I had to make any criticism it would be the bottle. It isn't horrible and fir the price I am still happy with it. I'll have to play with it more to test longevity. But so far it has a pretty decent scent bubble/trail. I definitely suggest giving it a try!

This is a sweet burnt sugar vanilla that's pretty much like soft except the citrus notes is not as pronounced. In comparison to pink sugar, pink sugar is more potent and has that burnt sugar/ licorice note that can be off-putting to some. I do prefer soft but this is still a great alternative to pink sugar. This is a love for me but would be redundant since I already have both Pink Sugar and Soft.

I just bought the Khurafi bottle and i can say it's the sister of pink sugar! Really lovely. I think the notes and accords on fragrantica are not accurate. As it resembles pink sugar so much. But the performance isn't as strong tho, it stays for a good 4-5 hrs on clothes. So if you have pink sugar this might be a bit redundant but for the price, you can never go wrong :)

Pulled out my bottle tonight after not wearing this for a long time. Wow, this gets even better over the years. It now reminds me more of Aquolina Black Sugar than before when I voted for "Pink Sugar" as a similar scent. Perfect for layering with gourmands or leather or berry scents.

I LOVE this fragrance. It’s a sophisticated and complex fragrance for people who love vanilla and gourmand but don’t want to smell like a 21 year old. Layer with Lattafa Eclaire for a slightly sweeter finish. Lasts for ages and ALWAYS gets compliments.

The notes on this are absolutely wrong. I believe this has a chocolate note and some other sweet notes. Vanilla along with a bit of incense. Definitely oud. trying to find where the notes actually are. This just cannot be straight oud.

Beautiful sweet gourmand. Lovely and very delicious. I love it. It's one of my favourite perfumes ever. I wear it very often and am always receiving wonderful compliments. It's gorgeous. And so long lasting! It's a dream.

Wow! Khurafi is seriously intoxicating. It's warm, woody, and smoky all at the same time - perfect for fall and winter. I get a lot of compliments when I wear it!

When this arrived today i could smell the cacao vanilla flavor through the paper, nice unisex perfume with great longevity and price.

Gorgeous. Reminds me of the citrus in Unknown Pleasures but with lots of incense and chocolate and oud. Dark and sweet and delicious.
