Lail Maleki

After reading all of the previous reviews it seems to me that everyone has a different opinion on how this smells. All I smell as soon as I spray it is pineapple for some reason, but then it becomes a fruity floral with a bit of depth. It definitely has that middle eastern vibe to it, not like the western fruity florals. A little bit spicy, a little woody but mostly fruity. It's more of an orange fruit (peach, orange, pineapple) kind of fruity than a red berry fruity which I prefer ( I don't like strawberry or raspberry notes in perfumes ). I wouldn't consider it a basic perfume but its very versatile and I think suits all year round. I think it is marketed as a unisex fragrance but I find it leans more feminine due to the combination of notes. Very good lasting power and amazing value. P.S: an extremely similar perfume to my nose is Arabiyat's Oud Al Layl but unfortunately that is not listed on fragrantica. Both are beasts but Oud Al Lail lasts a week+ on clothes (no exaggeration). If you like this one, check the other one out too. Very affordable and worth every penny.

It seems from the reviews that this is such a polarizing fragrance, wow. Funny how there’s some voters that seem to be all about it being masculine, and others all about it being feminine. I think it’s still unisex – but I also believe that anyone should wear what they want to wear. I got it – for very cheap – a couple of months ago, on my quest for the perfect honey fragrance. I was a bit underwhelmed in the beginning, but after a couple of months of maturation, it’s good! Sweet smooth honey, but not too heavy. Very fruity, very musky and very heavy on the jasmine. I’d think that this would be a likable fragrance, but apparently it’s still polarizing, so that’s kind of unexpected. I like it, and I think that if those particular fruit, musky, jasmine notes appeal to you, it’s good. I don’t get any caramel and not even a lot of spiciness either.

got the small bottle, and it has become my favorite ever since. The scent leans strongly feminine. Using only a small amount makes it perfect—the fragrance feels distinctive and unique, and it even makes me feel relaxed and at ease (maybe that’s just me). It can be quite strong if sprayed directly onto the body, so I never spray it. Instead, I dip my finger in and gently rub it onto my skin. I wasn’t familiar with the scent at first, but now I absolutely love it and it has become my signature perfume.

Yum. This smell reminds me of being in a video store or maybe the Container Store. Some place with carpeting and carefully-organized inventory made of plastic. Smells like suede, but there are no leather notes. I love the way it wafts up from my shirt. I get a sweet smell first (fruits I guess) followed by plastic/carpet chemicals. I guess some would say it is the new car smell, but for me it is a high-ceilinged store with mid-priced merchandise.

Had this for two months now. This is a a potent floral, honey sweet perfume. It opens with an airy gardenia and orchid aroma. Dries down to a sweet, quite heavy mixed floral perfume. On the female side. Fantastic staying power and projection. A firm like from me. *Update* Very similar to Afshan Rasasi

Nice. Starts with woods and honey. The dry down is orchid and spices. Performance is good and so is the price. The dry down is by far the best part. I really need to experience this more.................report back.

Had this for a while now. This is a complex sweet floral and powerful lasting perfume. Lots of character here. It leans definitely in the feminine camp but I wear it coz I love it.

Freshy oder, sweety,fruity,very good for summer

Recently blind bought this for $16 at Burlington. (They have a variety of Lattafa fragrances, which is nice) I've seen some people say they don't like this because it smells too powdery or smells like an older woman. To the credit of those people, I can definitely understand why they feel that way. The initial opening is a very strong and sharp spice note which then settles in to a very powdery white floral scent. Think Oscar by Oscar de la Renta DNA or even White Diamonds DNA, two fragrances I would typically associate with women over the age of 45. I typically stray far away from fragrances that are super powdery, but for some reason this one doesn't bother me. If you absolutely cannot stand that kind of white floral DNA, this will not be for you. What won me over about this fragrance though is that it settled down really nicely into a warmer, musky, Ambery Sandalwood scent. The best way to describe this scent is that the top and middle notes of the fragrance come through full force guns blazing for the initial 30 minutes to an hour of this fragrance, smacking you over the head with Jasmine and Gardenia like you've never seen before. However once those notes mellow out and have time to live on your skin, they do a great job of blending in with the base notes and create a slightly musky, slightly powdery, slightly warm and floral fragrance that feel very fresh and clean. A lot of people will write off a fragrance like this specifically because of its opening. I wish people took the time to let the fragrance breathe and express all of the notes before dismissing it as foul, but that's how it goes I guess. I once again reiterate that if you know you will never enjoy the scent of powdery white florals in a fragrance, then you should probably avoid this fragrance. However, for the price you pay for this, I feel like you can't really beat it. Longevity seems fairly moderate and sillage is also pretty moderate. It lasts a decent while and projects a decent scent bubble around you. Not the kind of long lasting beast mode fragrance you might expect from Lattafa, but it doesn't need to be. It leans rather feminine for sure but I could absolutely see a man wearing this as a fresh and clean scent. I also think that this would be a really great option for layering as the base notes really lend themselves to supporting other fragrances. With all of that being said, I think this is a decent option from Lattafa. It's not one of their most unique or interesting fragrances and I don't entirely think it will be everyones cup of tea. Even still, if you manage to run into this and are intrigued enough to buy a relatively inexpensive fragrance, I'd recommend giving it a try.

This’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever smelt it’s like smelling a jam that’s made out of pineapple and dates mixed with honey or like overly ripe bananas that are almost rotten mixed with musk. It could be cloying if you spray alot for me 2 or 3 sprays is more than enough in the winter but I’d never wear this in the summer it’d be a suffocating headache inducing nauseating mess, this is definitely not a safe blind buy you should definitely try it before buying it and the performance is beast mode it’ll last you through earthquakes and storms I remember washing my hands with soap and it was like i just sprayed it and I kept getting whiffs of it too and on clothes it’ll stick to it even after washing it Edit: I used every bit of this and I hated it so much it was like torturing myself but I have this weird habit where i must finish a perfume

My first dissapointment from Lattafa. Not because Lail Maleki smells bad, but because the floral in this is just too feminine to my nose. Please note that I love men's florals, but even the sandalwood in this offering isn't enough to ground LM for a unisex release. To be honest, calling this fragrance “unisex” is disingenuous even by middle eastern standards. I did however enjoy the fruit note on top of LM, but it's quickly drowned out by a blitzkrieg of white florals and orchid. Lattafa should have marketed this exclusively for women. I'll give it to my girlfriend. I think she'll appreciate it more than me. Gorgeous bottle and packaging though.

I just bought a $8 100ml bottle from Marshalls, but before that I had a tiny bottle. It is definitely feminine, but it's like 80's feminine so it could kick a lot of modern masculine fragrances butt. It is very floral and there is a fruity note(I can't tell what fruit it is, but it's there), major amounts of honey, and again florals. It's very sweet but not so much it's way unbalanced. It smells a lot like a creamy white honey hand soap(I think Softsoap). Definitely feminine but I got a compliment wearing it. It's very 80's in style so if you like Giorgio, Halston, and stuff like that you will probably love this too.

not the Lattafas of the past, not a powerhouse Middle Eastern fragrance, watered down and hardly there after a few minutes, lacks the depth but the fragrance is interesting for the price. It is fruity to the max almost like a plum fragrance with a bit of a smoky sharp twist with some citrus that reads like bergamot, maybe some orchid if you look for it and some vetiver or herbal quality and some sandalwood for a woodiness in the base; it is soft and powdery and pretty

This is a good scent, I don t understand the hate, is not that special but not that bad either. It is unisex, not more male or female, I d say in opening it leans more feminin, but dry down more masculin. For me it smells like fruit jellies with honey and some floral notes. The price is good for the performance. I d say that is good for people who like to travel a lot and for the ones who want something different.

It smells like a nice old muslim lady. Not really a crowd pleaser, and very polarizing, but the price isn't bad. Anyone who wants to try it should expect a synthetically pungent fruity smell (pineapple, maybe bergamot? peach?) with warmer spices on the first spray. If not over-sprayed, it dries down into a nice floral (orchid?) scent with some caramel and sandalwood.

I don't know but i got a lot of compliments, i have been wearing this perfume since 2022 every winter. every time someone smell it always ask me which perfume are you wearing please tell me the name. its strong sweet powdery perfume beast performance. enter the room and everybody notice you.

The effect on me is floral, deep, sweet and spicy. Rose confiture in black tea, the petals unfolding, the tea scented with cloves. Later on I feel leather saddle. Scented with florals woman ascends her horse at night. Her lips still sweet with rose confiture or honey.

So if there's a horse on the outside, there will be pineapple in the inside. Happened to Lattafa Qaed al Fursan and this Lail Maleki. Pineapple bomb, bubbly and powdery at the same time. Smell younger than the rest of Lattafa, I think

Similarities to Histoire de Parfums 1804...but not as "rich"...IMO. Performance/sillage....is medium. I am liking this scent...so far. Fruity in the opening....then spiced floral/musky vibes.

This is gorgeous. Comparison to White Diamonds is spot-on! A woody and honeyed white floral. Not for children. This one is womanly! It won't be for everyone, and to me that's refreshing.

It's a clean floral soapy perfume. Unisex, leaning towards masculine. It reminds me of Zadig & Voltaire this is her.

Very very similar to Boss Bottled Oud Saffron ! Almost 95% clone

This is a very interesting one. So, in the beginning you are hit in the face with a very massive synthetic fruity note. I think the mainly fruit here is the peach. In the air, it feels kinda boozey, like that alcoholic breath kind of boozey, which made me quite reserved into wearing this fragrance. I think it feels like that because of fruits idk, but this boozey nose disturbing note apparently disappears after several minutes. After that, I can slightly feel some jasmine and white flowers. Idk, I don't smell any spicy note in this one. I don't perceive this fragrance spicy at all. I also can't smell honey, nor caramel, but I feel a very slightly musky thing, and some sandal wood I guess. The fragrance is pretty linear, the florals are taking over after a while, I smell them equally as the fruits. On me, it lasts forever. And I mean , FOREVER. I can smell it on my wrist even the following day, this is the most persistent fragrance I have so far. That is very strange, because I have read in the comments that people are complaining about its longevity, that it is a not long lasting fragrance. Even more odd is that the perfumes don't last very long on my skin, but this lasts forever, I think maybe because of its ultrasynthetic DNA. I bought this fragrance in the fall, last year. In the fall, it seems so sweet. But when it comes to summer, I thought about what fragrance should I wear today, at 31°C, and I begun to sniff all my perfumes, and I stopped by this one. It was so odd, that I perceived this fragrance so fresh on this hot weather. Very strange. Overall, this perfume smells quite nice, but not quite my favourite fragrance, it is I think one of the most synthetic fragrances I've ever smelled. If you want to wear this, please be careful on how many sprays you get. It is strong as hell, probably migraine inducer if you put more than 3 and a half sprays. Unisex? Nah, definitely a feminine fragrance. A quite mature fragrance, if you ask me, because it smells very, very synthetic. Suitable for summer, but maybe in the evenings. Definitely good in the fall. Scent: 6/10 Longevity: 10/10 Sillage: 10/10 Bottle: 8/10 (the cap ruines the awesome design of the bottle. This one is strangely pleasant or hated. It's appearance didn't reflect on it's DNA. Very soapy & clean, a flower bomb but not the super heavy/dense or strong roses that i don't like. Sometimes heliotrope in Intios have this type of affect that I'm not interested in. Loud & long AF... all the "nuclear & beast mode" frags people talk about do not hit nearly as hard as this and it stays on skin long. I'm a straight man, blue collar, black jeans & black denim or leather w/black chucks, vans, or boots. Other words feminine leaning "unisex" frags are not my thing. Unisex with a feminine essence (certain opinions), I can't say i don't wear. I'm not locked in on traditional 'masculine' frags. JPG Le Male back in the mid 90s was seen as feminine by the 'old-heads' back in the day. Especially in the blue collar rust belt in the city or immediate boroughs (Pittsburgh). If i wore this in late 80s, I'd have gotten beat up by every group of dudes I saw. This is a strangely floral/sweet/very soapy (i like soapy e.g Y&L's Imagination dupe). I can't and wouldn't wear or feature this scent. At the same time, I wouldn't want my gf to wear either. It's too clean & unisex type that it would turn me off (& possibly choke me out if not used very sparingly). I have used it as a.compliment for heavier dense frags, ouds, very musky or animalic frags. 1 spray on my chest, in winter & layered, I can smell it. Ive used it a few times last fall & winter as a compliment [1 or 2 sprays max, somewhere under clothes]. It cleans up or adds another layer to the overall essence of very masculine heavy duty strong male dominant frags. Somebody says it's clone of Histoires De Parfums 1804 (i think that's the year/name of the women's frag)??? I don't know what it is, if any clone at all. It's strangely pleasant but I wouldn't wear it (except as a hidden 1 spray compliment). If I wasn't single, I would ask my gf not to wear it. It's not a safe blind buy but then again...it's under $20/100ml. In that regard, everything under $40, for me, is a safe blindy. As i mostly use cheaper priced clones to sample a DNA, just to check the hype, or boredom. I've always worn expensive/ish frags but started collecting/over buying in last couple years.

I don't know why this was EVER listed at a unisex fragrance, because it's DEFINITELY NOT. I cannot stress that enough. NOTHING about this is unisex. This is floral/powder bomb! Also this is damn near IDENTICAL to the fragrance by Arabiyat - Oud Al layl. So if you own that fragrance, you certainly don't need this (unless you absolutely love that specific DNA. The only differences between the two is that oud al layl is MUCH, much STRONGER. While this one leans a touch more fruity. This fragrance is THICK in every way. The florals in this are very STRONG. IF you do not like a VERY pronounced Rose/Gardenia then I can only imagine that this would definitely get headache inducing. This is a bubblegum style of rose, with LOTS OF powder. So far, I don't pick up on an excess of fruits, any of the spices, the citrus, the caramel, or the honey. The only sweetness I get is that bubblegum style of a rose. The kind of gum that's pink, tough to chew, and slightly chalky. ALSO, I REALLY don't think this would appeal much to a younger crowd, unless you know specifically what you want in a fragrance. This is not what I would consider a youthful fragrance by any means. This absolutely screams *mature woman* If you like fragrances like the original Kim Kardashian by Kim Kardashian, Gardenia by Elizabeth Taylor, Oud Al layl by Arabayit, Rapture by Victorias Secret, Bijan by Bijan for women, White diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor, Or Fleur Paris by Jean Marc Paris - then you just MAY enjoy this this fragrance.

original first impression review........March 2025 All i get from this is an overwhelmingly synthetic pineapple and grapefruit. Boring and unsophisticated. Too sweet, too fake. Horrible. Lasts forever though, unfortunately. UPDATED December 2025....9 months later and this is far deeper and more balanced and blended. I actually quite like this now, but don't love it. The screech has gone and its a pineapple with lime cocktail kind of scent with a faint woody base. The wonders of maturation have unleashed the angels on this one. I like this for summer now for sure. It faded a lot which in this case was definitely a good thing. Longevity and projection are now moderate, just right for this type of scent. Absolutely useless in the cold/winter. Its just pointless even trying to wear this below 20c. Its linear and better for layering i think, on its own its too bland. I would call this borderline unisex but probably better for females. Its nothing spectacular or original but its pleasant and bright, probably just about worth picking up for the low bargain price, just be prepared to wait a while before being able to wear it. Its a cheap mediocrity, but there's nothing to hate about it. Its a party of pineapple and basically nothing else....but who doesn't love pineapple? 6/10 from me

This one is my least favorite from Lattafa It's very floral, spring season somewhat fresh. On me it smell like tuberose (and reminds me of Charlie Red by Revlon) This gives me a Bathroom spray vibe which I don't like. Lasting power on my skin is 4-ish hours and then I really need to find it but on clothes, espically cotton it last days. I wanted to try something different but turns out I prefer Oud and more haevy Middle Eastern scents from their house. EDIT: I get some Bubble-gummy scent, could be a Tuberose, although it's not one of the notes stated It might grow on me, it happens sometimes, but for now it's just okay

Omg I think I just found the female version of Azzaro Pour Homme the quintessential super strong grandpa fragrance that takes your breathe away. Now imagine if you will an extra super strong grandma parfum and you get exactly what this smells like. The one two punch of the initial detergent smell will take your breath away (I literally sprayed 1 spray on my arm) then the dry down is insanely strong floral that is old school to the max. This is definitely not blind buy safe, thank goodness I found a small sample bottle instead of the 3.4 Oz bottle

I bought before reading reviews. I was not as disappointed as people portrayed. Smell is okay but not something I would buy a second time. More masculine though which I like though I am female. Scared to use because it can be overpowering. Good with layering with another perfume. I have not smelt anything like it though. Very difficult to describe

This scent, after sitting for 6 months, reminds me of a less aquatic, less watery version of L'eau D'Issey edt, with the florals cranked to 11. Very strong both in projection and longevity. So I plan to layer them together when I want a stronger, bolder evening scent. Just have to limit the sprays to 1-2 of this fragrance.

Definitely a more "dated" floral but still a great cheap option from lattafa. Initial spray is overwhelming but the dry down is quite nice if you like a louder floral. Wear day or night but I would stray away from this scent in the heat.

Naww. This isn't it. These notes are NO WHERE to be found. Honey? Fruit?? No way. It's soap 10000% I almost thought I bought the wrong one.

Definitely a powerhouse fragrance. I’m reporting my findings during my first wear. Upon first sprays (one on neck, one on abdomen, and one shared between hands and wrists.) it was an aldehydic blast of fruits-Pineapple, peach and citrus. I could already tell that this was going to be a complex fragrance by the top notes. Spices, not anything sticks out in my mind except Saffron which gives it a tiny suede tinge. -0- honey. Enter flowers. Florals are quite in your face, orchid especially, gardenia & jasmine more laid back. Not a huge fan of the screechy orchid at all. I hope it softens by dry-down. I’ve already determined by this point that 3 sprays was at least 2 sprays too many even though the sillage is softening by 45 mins. It’s definitely throwing room fresher vibes at this point (that dratted orchid) I just asked my husband what his impression of it is and he finds it very nice! Hmm. At least I know who will end up with it on his dresser! I don’t give up on fragrance on the first try. I will let this progress through to the dry down as I want to see if sandalwood makes its appearance as well as amber and musk. I hope it doesn’t become an Ambroxyn bomb. I will update this after I’ve completely finished this wear test. Right now, as of about 1 1/2 hours of wear and my body is telling me to wash it off, clear my head and settle in without Lail Maleki. This wear test ended badly. Lail Maleki is heavily indolic, massively synthetic, and made me physically ill. I realize that I over-sprayed the fragrance, so that was the first strike against successfully wearing this fragrance. In Lattafa’s defense I will say that their OUD LAIL MALEKI is a fabulous fragrance! It’s warm, suedey softly sweet and no doubt unisex. A truly beautiful fragrance. I’ll just stick with that Oud Lail Maleki for now. This wear test is over!

First night, I tested a single, discreet spray on my hand before bed. It actually made for a really nice, cozy bedtime scent. But the next day, my brain and my trigger finger lost communication, and I accidentally went heavy-handed before heading out to the local public pool. We are talking 6 to 7 hefty sprays. The second I stepped onto the pool deck, it hit me: this was definitely not the right vibe for mingling with my kids' friends' parents. As a Scandinavian dad, I had suddenly transformed into an ultra-feminine, unapologetic explosion of luxurious oriental mystery. Gliding past the sunscreen and french fries smelling like this felt completely surreal. The contrast between the scent and myself in that specific setting was total. How does it actually smell? This is a truly unique and fascinating composition, but it demands the right wearer. Three heavy elements clash in a very interesting way: Marmalade-sweet fruit: Think of those intense, sugary fruit notes you pick up in the candy aisle of a Turkish grocery store. Maxed-out white floral soapiness: What really made this explode at the pool was a massive dose of white florals, cranking a classic, clean soapiness up to an absolute ten. Heavy musk projection: The base is loaded with musk, which causes this unusual mix of marmalade fruit and soapy florals to project for miles. I can't pull this off, but I can picture exactly who should. This belongs on a bold, elegant Middle Eastern woman wearing a deep burgundy or shimmering gold kaftan, radiating pure attitude and immense confidence. A seriously cool style—but this scent just doesn't belong on me. Performance: 11/10. The musk makes this project like an absolute monster. Pro-tip: Do NOT do 7 sprays before hanging out with other parents at a pool.

This is far from Lattafa's best work, and it's not a great fragrance by any means, but the disproportionately harsh criticism from other reviewers is a bit unjustified imo. I think a lot of people in this community still haven't figured out that you need to let most middle eastern fragrances macerate for a bit before giving them a true wearing. Spray it 10x or so and then let it sit for at least a few weeks. I feel like a lot of people's negative opinions come from the fact they don't do that, so they get this false impression of the fragrance. Onto the scent itself.. I don't get anything that even remotely resembles a rubber tire smell like others have stated. It opens up with a lot of overly ripe fruit that's glazed in honey. After an hour or two it basically just dries down to powdery, musky, white florals. The opening is very dense and somewhat challenging (I think this is the part that turns so many people off), but the dry down is kind of nice imo. Very synthetic smelling, and the scent profile leans much more feminine overall (80%). Not the worst fragrance I've ever smelled but there are too many other good cheapies out there to waste your money on this.

I was so excited when I saw this bottle at a local shop. Lattafa perfume with a good-looking bottle at a decent price. Yes!!! Quick check on Fragrantica - average rating of 3.4, hmm not great but maybe subjective. Let me try it for myself... If you are reading this and thinking about buying this fragrance - DON'T DO IT!!! Lattafa need to take this perfume out of circulation. Opening notes smell of cheap alcohol with a jumble of chemical-smelling notes. The note pyramid is promising but at no point during the existence of the fragrance did any of the listed notes clearly announce themselves. I don't know how this got through Lattafa Quality Control but thankfully I only sprayed a small quantity on myself. If I had bought this blind then I would have to look for someone that I really disliked to give it to. Never again.

I have had this for a year so it's matured and macerated but I still don't like it. It hasn't actually changed much from last year. Still very middle eastern with sweet fruits. It's a beast. I only test it with one spray on my left hand each time but I can smell it all day even after washing my hands in the course of the day. It's extremely beast mode and projects so I wish I enjoyed the scent but I don't, at all. However, I use it on my curtains and for some reason, it just seems to work. Love the dry down on the fabrics but I am just going to declutter it and give it away

I bought this thinking it would be good because of lattafa, don’t get me wrong I love lattafa, but this one isn’t good! I was really disappointed when I smelled this. It smells like I just walked into a nursing home with the old lady smells. I feel like older women might like this but I really don’t think this is unisex at all. It’s not my taste but 2/10 for me :(

I mean, it's ok. The florals, especially the jasmine, are very intensive and dissuades me from liking this. It kinda smells like something an older woman would wear, not my vibe. I am not sure why people are calling this unisex, this is strongly feminine in my opinion.

A strong synthetic pineapple with some dusty woods and musk. Very cloying and lasts forever and ever. For the price I can appreciate it but I'd never want to own it. Or try it again, for that matter.

Left it to macerate for 10 months and it's still impossible for me. The notes sound amazing but it's just too screechy, metallic, raw, pickled, vinegary, bitter, gasoliney and just plain not for me.

Word to the wise,don't blind-buy this.

Garbage ,gives me a headache literally

Bought this end of 2021, arrived early 2022. Gosh was I excited based on the pyramid. Boy was I disappointed based on reality! I let this macerate, thinking that as most of my Middle Eastern fragrances this one had some note damage from the travel abroad, or needed (extra) maceration. Two months later: still a synthetic weak, unidentifiable mess. Another 3 months, warmer weather: nope. Very much nope. It even got a harsh, nasty additional note that was hard to pinpoint. I put it back on my maceration, to sell and "not for now" shelf, but actually forgot about it. Last week I was cleaning out my perfume closet to mix up my vanity and to declutter some extra bottles (and save a few others). In the back: Ah yeah, Lail Maleki! It had a year now. *spritz*....Still very much hell 👎no. I guess I should've been happy this was one particular scrubber that didn't put up a fight. It doesn't have much projection or sillage on my skin anyway, so a good rub of soap made Lail Maleki go bye bye quickly (unlike Bade'e Al Oud Amethyst for example). Simply put: the juice is even uglier than the bottle (okay, I've seen uglier bottles, but this one isn't pretty and does not suit the promised pyramid either). I get a synthetic, metallicy-airy peach scent (pretty sure they used Aldehyde C14 here) in the opening, which remains all through the dry down. And after the first few minutes there is a strange note that almost makes me sneeze. It tickles my nose in a bad way. Maybe it's the supposed spices? I've no idea though. I get none of the yummy notes I was promised otherwise. No Jasmine, no honey, no Orchid, no sandalwood, no Amber, no caramel - and even the strange airy peach opening doesn't get any spices, other than some weird unidentifiable jumble in the background that reminds me of my kitchen cabinet when it is time to clean again and throw out of date stuff away. So...Aldehydic bad peach, a chemical tickle note...and then Musk. Skin Musk (ugh). A juicy pineapple on top of the peach or a strong honey sweet floral accord might have saved it all if the base had been a creamy sandalwood, creating a simple tropical fruity fragrance for summer. But...what is this mess? I thought it was my skin chemistry, but it smells just as synthetically weird on a blotter. While I absolutely loathe most Lattafa Oud containing fragrances & the cedar + leather concoctions because the synthetic Oud and Oud-mimicing notes clash freeway-car-accident hard with my skin, I still have to say that Lail Maleki is one of the worst Lattafa's I've ever tried and one of the worst Middle Eastern ones for sure as well. And that's coming from someone with a collection of 158 bottles and 40 decants >> of which 40% (bottle) and 90% (decant) is UAE created. I truly hope it'll smell nice on someone else, and it is my olfactory sense that just does not vibe with this stuff, because otherwise it'll go in the toxic waste bin. Don't blind buy!
