Lattafa's mastery in crafting original blends shines through, dismissing such comparisons. If you're looking for YSL clone, you'd be more accurate eyeing their Ishq al Shuyukh Gold. Maharjan Gold provides a multi-layered aromatic journey, navigating through a series of olfactory landscapes, each more intriguing than the last, making it a compelling choice for those who crave something beyond the mainstream. Oooh, this smells incredible for a brand new bottle, I am very impressed with Maharjan Gold right now! First sprays on tester strip: Immediately upon spraying I got a cloud of soft, warm cashmeran. It lasted about two seconds before the air around the strip was full of smoky incense, woody lavender and dry and crumbly, crystallised caramel. Nicely blended, nothing competing. The cashmeran isn't really noticeable now as a distinct note in the air, just a soft, warm texture to the scent. The actual strip itself however, does not smell good. At all. It smells like pepper and bad wood, and I'm definitely getting that gross public toilet cleaning product smell that has been mentioned in other comments. First sprays on skin: That cashmeran gives the caramel, lavender and incense a subtle animalic, almost skin like quality. It is really sexy close up. Sweet but not particularly gourmand, it's definitely bitable though. Makes skin smell beautiful, elegant and a little dirty. From arms length it's more restrained, it brings to mind rooms full of old, well cared for pianos, and wood paneled reference libraries, full of old, incense soaked religious texts. From just a couple of sprays on my wrists, while walking around my flat, the scent is following me in deliciously bookish little drifts. Completely unisex. Best in cooler weather. I even rather like the bottle. 10/10

I had no intention of falling in love with this one as much as I have. It is solely responsible for making me realize how much I love to wear incense. Someone sprayed it on a tester and I kept coming back to it over and over after leaving the store and then I went back and bought the bottle. It is peppery, incense, sweet, the dry down is beautiful on my skin. I like to spray it before I curl up with a book before bed. It’s warm and cozy like a good book and a soft blanket. When I wake up there’s a gentle sweet spice remaining.

I got a 20ml sample of this and I love it. Very unique unisex frag. Notes are spot on; pepper, lavender, prominent woody pine note that is softened with a sweet caramel amber drydown. The florals peek through but just slightly and give this a slight sweetness but not too sweet. The pepper note is strong and the scent remains prominently woody and incensy. Very nice unique frag. Don't know if i'd get the full bottle yet but I just might if it continues to grow on me. Will be very good for layering.

If you are buying cheap "clones" you need to let them sit. When it arrives spray it 15-20 times and put it away for a few weeks. Come back and try it again. You may need to spray it and put it away again. But it should smell stronger that the 1st time you sprayed it. That's why you buy your summer fragrance in the winter and winter ones in the summer. Spray it, get it activated and let it grow. Mine is really nice and the carmel is the star. No pine. No car freshener or cleaner smell here.

Nose Note #391 What a sweet, warm and cozy masterpiece. Has a little bit of this cookie vibe, but the addition of incense and a woody aspect sends it into another realm. To me there's nothing off-putting about it. Nothing odd, faul ot synthetic about it to my nose. It honestly feels rather naturalistic. There's something so lemony and zesty about it! 8.5/10 The performance could be better though. Some unique stuff. Definitely worth it. Unbelievable value for money

One of my recent favorite finds. It’s a creamy incense gourmand. It opens up with spiciness of the pepper combined with aromatic lavender and then morphs through out the day into a very beautiful creamy caramel incense scent. On occasional hot days, I get the tuberose but very well blended.it smells to me as if you mixed Ariana grande Cloud with By the fireplace. It is just so beautiful. It has an impressive lasting power and moderate projection.

Layers really well with Sehr, it's my go to for a 'hug in a bottle' scent lately. The cashmeran here is like the olfactory equivalent of a weighted blanket, it has this magical fuzziness that somehow keeps the fragrance bubble intimate but still strong enough to be soothing when my day gets stressful.

Sweet minerally turpentine is the effect I get from this; smoked caramel with black pepper, becomes distinctly leathery and powdery, the leather is quite strong on my skin. Cool and cold weather is best for this, projects loudly

This reminds me of two of my favourite perfumes mixed together For some reason it reminds me of unknown pleasure crossed with Baux The first day I had this I was meh, but after two weeks I'm going oh gosh yes yes yes 😍

It is delicious, so comfy and luscious. love at first sight. Just wished that it could be a little bit more feminine leaning. I will give it to my son, so I could smell on him, but I see myself using it sporadically.

When I applied it, the wife said she smelled it from the other room. I don't believe her, it's impossible! Regardless, she liked it.

#1016 in my "Tour de Fragrance" So first thing is the metal cap came off but the plastic sleeve inside the metal cap was stuck to the sprayer. So I superglued the plastic sleeve back into the cap. We'll see if that stays on or if this is a bottle that will sit on the shelf with no cap. And the usual half pound of wasteful and pointless packaging which just burdens the landfill. Just a clear, rectangular glass bottle in a paper box that can be recycled. Is that too much to ask Lattafa? Anyway, nice and smooth thanks to the cashmeran. Ambery, but not sweet at all despite the caramel. Not gourmand. I think it's likeable. If there were nuts I would almost mistake this for Bond No. 9 "Tribeca." Milder with the incense note than I had hoped and not as peppery as some reviews led me to expect, which is fine with me. Not as oriental as I expected from the bottle design, as they used cedar instead of sandalwood, so a couple hours in there is that hint of wooden pencil shavings you always get with cedar, but not the really cheap smelling kind. And BTW, I hike in an evergreen forest every single day. There is no "pine" here. I think some reviewers are picking up the reaction of alcohol with the paper strip, not the perfume. Blotter paper distorts the notes people. It's most frequently made of soft woods like pine and fir. This is known. You have to try a fragrance on skin. On a paper strip it's never the same at all. Initial spray had me hopeful for strong projection and longevity, but it's intimate range in a hour, It's "huggable." You'll need to respray midday. I prefer not to spray my clothes though this isn't oily enough to stain. I don't expect a lot of people are going to hate this or find it annoying unless you bathe in it or only freshies are their jam (The "Maharjan Silver" is a freshie similar to Creed Silver Mountain Water that bears no relation to this scent except for the name and bottle design). If you like scents that lean oriental, but without the rose and oud, I think it's a safe blind buy, especially given the $24 price.

Bought a 20 ml sample of this fragrance and I am not disappointed. Maharjan Gold has the same aromatic lavender note that is present in Arianna Grande's Cloud without that airy aspect from the saffron. The sugar in Maharjan Gold however is more like burnt spun brown sugar while cloud is closer to a candy cane. Additionally, the base of this fragrance has a hint of incense and amber that doesn't overpower the burnt sugar that is similar to the one present in Raghba. Interestingly, I also get a citrus note in the opening. This fragrance layers really well with other fragrances, particularly if you'd like to sweeten masculine leaning or woody fragrances. Personally, I think It would be too simple to wear this on its own. Very feminine leaning imo but men who love Cloud would likely enjoy this fragrance too. Update: Exactly a year later. The lavender note is no longer prominent and the Carmel and amber is very strong. This is great for layering!!! I'll be getting a full bottle.

I got this yesterday, sprayed a couple of times, checked all the comments below, but I don't smell any pine tbh. I smell an incense, black pepper and lavender mixture. With the dry down there is caramel & little amber. Last a good 5 maybe 6 hours on my skin. Normally I dislike anything with lavender, but this is an interesting mixture to me. Never smelled anything like it. My partner thinks it's a complicated smell, not necessarily very feminine, but more feminine with the dry down. Oh well, I think I can pull it off though hahaha. And he can probably pull it off as well.

I like this! It's sweet and smokey! I has a herbal quality in it and it almost smells like a spicy lavender tea. I can see this being unisex even though it comes out as a more masculine scent but it's not so that harsh that can't be worn by women. This makes me feel like I'm in the mountains in a wooden cabin while outside it's snowing and I'm making a herbal tea and the kitchen has lavender and other spices hanging around. Very cozy scent.

Very nice. I get the pine references but I think it adds a unique touch, mixing with the sweet and smoky notes to create an amazing scent.

Maharjan Gold by Lataffa: I’m coming back to this one in a month. I don’t really know what Lataffa was going for with this one. The opening starts with a fresh citrus and sharp pepper for me. It isn’t terrible but it also isn’t amazing. The citrus is nowhere near the lemon nukes of the Club de Nuit line so it’s tolerable but it doesn’t leave much of an impression either. Elemi might be suggested despite not being listed. The dry down is even stranger to me, supposedly sugary caramel and incense? It’s barely noticeable that its sweet never mind the caramel note and the incense is not even detectable by my nose. It practically fades to nothing once the opening disappears hence why I’m going to leave this to sit for a month. This is the first fragrance where I’ve actually had to leave it to macerate rather than maceration just being a bonus. The bottle cost £20 so if it doesn’t improve in a month, I think I’ll just be reordering Khamrah Dukhan for a bit more.

Wow this perfume smells exactly like "Little Trees" pine car fresheners. I was hoping the drydown would be more caramel-y, but this seems to be "pine" on my skin all the way through :( update - layering it with Nirvana Bourbon by Elizabeth and James goes pretty well and makes it smell less like an air freshener.

For my this smells purely like incense... it’s good incense but I will see if i can layer it . Smells totally like Vanille 44 sadly I don’t get anything sweet 😢
