Oud Mood Silver

In my review of "Oud Mood Elixir | Lattafa / لطافة", I mentioned four variations or flankers of Oud Mood. All the Oud Mood collection pieces have lush packaging and bottle with attention to every detail. The Oud Mood Reminiscence box is a silver cylindrical tube similar to fine whiskeys, whose lid is hooked by a silver ribbon that keeps it anchored. And the thick glass bottle is blindfolded with a silver ribbon of the same colour as the box. Not to mention the heavy chrome metal cap. Incredible how a perfume paid for around €15 can provide such expensive packaging. But will the perfume inside be just as good? Let’s go find out together. Oud Mood Reminiscence, also known as Silver, is a spicy, mossy, salty, and musky cologne with an oud touch. It shares several notes with "Oud Mood Elixir | Lattafa / لطافة", but the concoction smells quite different. Although both saffron and cinnamon are present, the nutmeg replacement with the rose creates a more pleasing opening. Here, the indolic and semi-faecal nuances are not present. Instead, I get a boozy and aromatic blast that reminds me of a metallic lavender facet and hides a semi-floral and spicy accord. There is even a bit of zestiness, too much vanishing to be recognized. The combination of rose and saffron is not typical of oriental perfumes. This rose is dewy without a jammy undertone, and the saffron offers its spicy side without being too leathery. To my nose, the rose comes with spicy borders, not too feminine, but with an aromatic masculine slant. When the initial blast tones down, a fruity and floral tinge appears. Not a sweet and pulpy fruit, yet something akin to wild and red berries. The raspberry surfaces late on my skin, intertwined with the balsamic notes that fold it into something that to my nose could be mistaken for something with a sour undertone. The floral side consists mainly of jasmine and a bit of powdery iris. Besides, close to my skin, I can detect a waxiness, or perhaps the amber saltiness blends with other notes. Behind the fruity and semi-sweet accord is earthy patchouli, subdued and not annoying. I get a balmy tinge on fabric that I can match with cardamon, though I don’t get it on my skin. So far, the oud is not perceivable and sits quite in the background. If you are not accustomed to oud, this fragrance is safe for you as the dark and skanky side of the sap is not in there. Finally, I take a lot of mossy oakmoss in the drydown. It’s pleasant, with that unique smell no longer allowed in European fragrances. The box contains Evernia Prunastri and Evernia furfuracea, two natural lichens. There is a chewy undertone from saffron leftovers. And a synthetic nuance of delicate oud exudes, slowly, non-dominant and non-obnoxious, very polite and tame compared to the other Oud Mood pieces. The lingering notes in the finish are woody and musky with a hint of vanilla. If you intend to buy one of the Oud Mood fragrances, this is the quietest and safest ideal to be introduced to oriental fragrances containing oud resin. Next, I would say original Oud Mood and finally, Oud Mood Elixir. I omitted Musk Mood because it’s an entirely different kind, a creamy, musky floral. Not bad when used during winter days; best suited to cool autumn and spring seasons. You could try it on cooler summer evenings; maybe it works well. The longevity is average, while the projection is moderate and close to the skin after a few hours. Safe to wear in the office safe; it’s not offensive. Reminiscent means full of thoughts of the past, though I am not sure what it reminds me of... I'm basing my review and experience on a bottle I've owned since January 2023 (PD 06.2022).

I do agree with the people saying this smells like an aftershave for men. this perfume does have a zestiness at the top that's very invigorating and a woodsy-sweet drydown reminiscing of tobacco, which's also associated with men's cologne. But in between these two masculine pillars the middle is all unnauseating sweetness and soft florals. So it's safe to say that this is a unisex perfume that can be enjoyed by both genders without any distinction but still leaning more feminine (in my opinion) due the combination of rose and raspberry notes. In comparaison to original Oud Mood (which is rose, incense and caramel centered scent), Reminiscence is the more active, sleek, work place appropriate sister.

It's EXACTLY what the MAIN ACCORDS list. Forget the breakdown notes listed here or anywhere else. I get no fruit at all. Overall it's a beautiful scent profile, that I find sort of runs in the vein of Burberry Body EDP, IMO (not exact people. That was the one fragrance that came to MY mind when I initially sprayed) only in the drydown is where I get essense of Oud. This is a really well done fragrance that is an easy wear for me.

Once again I don't think these notes listed are correct and it's also called *Reminiscence* It is some what of a chypre fragrance that leans more towards the oriental side. Kind of almost smells more oriental fougere to be honest. Intimate sillage but you've gotta expect that when they're using a lot of base heavy notes. Just as good as oud mood elixir, great value for the price. I'd score it about 8 out of 10.

Lattafa, if u are reading this, i have a favor to ask. Make a new version of this with high quality ingredients and beastmode performance. Got this many years ago. Despite it's crazy cheap price it's one of my top favourite perfumes. Don't know about newer batches but my old bottle smells absolutely delicious and performs very, very well.

Hidden gem. I have bottles for 100-200+ euros, but it’s so funny that I think this one is better than any of them, although I bought it for 17 euros 100ML For this price you can safely blind buy this one and you won't regret.

Clean, *bitter* out of shower smell, not harsh or screechy, it just has a bitter chemical smell to it. It smells good and is personally close to my heart because it was a gift

Prominent rose and vanila. It's very cozy and strictly for winters. Moderate projection and sillage but very good longevity specially on cloths it stays for 24 hours. 7/10

Why this perfume is named like "silver" here? I know it like"Lattafa Oud Mood Reminiscence".

It combines elements of the floral, oud and aromatic fougere fragrance DNAs. It's a nice blend of floral, powdery, herbal, patchouli musk and light oud aromas. The biggest surprise is how light the actual oud note is and how strong the rose and oakmoss notes are in comparison. There is a definite oud note here but it is not the dominant one. It may even be too light for oud lovers. This is a very good twist on the classic Middle Eastern combo of oud and rose, but that doesn't make it any less polarizing a scent. Some may find the fougere characteristics too old fashioned and oud is always going to offend some noses. It takes a confident wearer to use this. Those that do use it will be rewarded with good performance, an excellent price point, and a unique fragrance. Recommended.

Nose Note #1059 The same Oud Mood DNA, but made sort of fresher? A lot of musk that's not particularly dirty, but smells very middle eastern. The rose is hard to discern for me. It's difficult to review this. Very unique thing. It has a niche middle eastern appeal. Perfectly unisex. I love Shaghaf Oud DNA and this feels like an interesting afterthought. But the load of musk is a bit strange to the nose. I can't think of an occasion to wear this, so I guess this could go for any day? Unisex. Performance is great. Price is amazing for what you are getting. 7.1/10

Moss ALL THE WAY THROUGH...The citrus, green apple, and pineapple are noticeable in the beginning. After the drydown (20 minutes in) it's an earthy ambery vanilla scent. The moss is very realistic in this perfume. The rose is there, but never the main note, except for the first minute after being sprayed. Then the rose becomes a mysterious bystander in the fragrance... it's there.... but almost as if it's there to stand on the sidelines and observe the fragrance. All in all, this is a nice scent. It is not my favorite from the oud mood line though.

This would be complete for me if it had more effervescent/sparkly notes. At the opening, until 1st hour, it gives you the illusion of soapiness/freshness, but afterwards it leans more towards the earthy/oudy dirtiness (resembles the original "Oud Mood" flanker). It keeps coming to my nose with that one note that I wish it didn't have, but that's my taste. With a more accurate rating I'd put it at a 6.5/10. Not exactly for me, but it's a good smell and really cheap!

Surprised that there is no "oud" note in here. I do pickup oud and not just any oud either, it's beautiful and feminine oud. It's just so happens that the birch note comes off this way. Bitter, classy, chic, and less vintage of oud than "velvet oud". Average overall performance. But very intresting than most oud/ wood scents, it's unique.

This fragrance is very similar to Aoud Lemon Mint. It is made slightly more feminine with the clever addition of a subtle rose. The longevity is all day and the silage is perfect; Not too loud, but still strong. Lattafa are great value for money and quite often have great successes, and this edition is right up there. Fantastic.

Really good, and "light", which I like. You're not supposed to smell perfume, it's supposed to be a hint, almost like a faint mirage. This one melts into my skin and I can hardly notice it, which I take as a good sign, a perfect match.

To my nose, contrary to the name and other reviewers, there's no impression of oud or ambergris. I get rose, crisp apple, vanilla, light jasmine and musk. Somewhat sweet. Above average performance. Pleasant. Not what I'm looking for.

if you've ever smelt Blue Jeans by Versace, then you will make the connetcion to Lattafa Silver. Perhaps its the mix of vanilla , rose , musk but the woods are identicle and they all play together like a toned down Blue Jeans. Its nothing special & I wasnt expecting much from Lattafa , But I was suprised that it didnt suck a big bag of donkey balls on first spray. It did give me a headache so would say this is one for outdoors & not to be used inside closed spaces or youll choke those of us that need to breathe air .. Putting the woods aside and it does resemble Mancera Aoud Lemon Mint by its softness, but this is much heavier on the skin all in all ,i'll give it a solid 0 out of 10

As others have stated, the notes here are not correct at all. Contrary to other reviews I find this much harder to wear (personally) than Oud Mood. Instead of a more mellow scent with slightly similar DNA, it turns to explosive oud and aftershave on my skin. With OM, the oud is wrapped in gooey caramel and vanilla which calms the punch down a bit. Reminiscence’s notes send it soaring into linear cat-urine levels of sting. Pulls much more masculine than OM as well. I’ve had this bottle for a month. I’m curious to see if it changes as it ages, so for now I will put it away and forget about it, if the lingering scent trail will let me.

I don't really like it because it smells like church. 6/10 scent, 7/10 SILLAGE, 9/10 LONGEVITY. for the price it is ok
