Pure Crystal

I had sampled Mahd Al Dhahab and really enjoyed the fragrance as a whole but I was wary of getting it because even in my own experience Mahd has weak performance so I decided that I would blind buy Pure Crystal because how different can it really be right? It scratches that same itch and maybe to me a little bit better so than Mahd did for me. Really it might even entirely be from the push of this fragrance as well like they smell so similar at the end of the day I get very similar feelings with Pure Crystal as I did with Mahd. With Pure Crystal I feel as if there's a brighter stronger push right off the opening than you get with Mahd where I feel like the difference is almost purely from the development. I think if you like what Mahd does Pure Crystal does that same thing basically right away so perhaps the real negative in that regard is it is likely more linear. Right off the bat you get that cognac with a lot of aromatics and spice I find it awkward that either fragrance describes a red berry you aren't really getting something that's like a juicy deep sweet note it is more like an essence or just the tangy part blended well with the overall scent. Really it is actually difficult to describe this fragrance in general it is just blended very smoothly picking out notes other than like an ambery spiced cognac is mostly just interpretation like maybe you feel the spice a little different here or there, maybe it seems really clean at this moment like the clary sage is shining, maybe there is a sweetness that is more than just the boozy amber note in the opening it is nitpicky. It's got a depth right but at the same time it's linear because it just feels so smoothly blended that almost nothing stands out. If you can understand what I mean by an ambery cognac that is what this is but it develops over the duration from a more aromatic fruity citrus version, to a more specifically spicy cognac version, to an intensely amber forward version, and then the cognac fades over the duration of the dry down to a smooth vanilla. There's always some kind of spice and some amount of a woody amber note all along a backbone of clean cognac. If you liked Mahd this is just the same thing but better in my mind purely from performance and the opening hits right away rather than the ramping that there is in Mahd. This DNA in general is amazing I highly recommend sampling either this or Mahd and then buying this if you enjoy it just a wonderful fragrance all around. I would say the short comparison summary is this is a bit denser overall than Mahd which is to my liking and likely why the performance wins here as well. They're both very similar despite the difference in notes and I really don't see how you couldn't like both if you like one of them. If performance isn't reason enough this is also the cheaper of the two clones.

This is an amazing fragrance for the price. Very high quality and luxurious presentation. The Cap feels a bit wack and very loose (like most niche lattafas), so don't ever grab it by the cap😄 At first it was very mild, linear and didn't perform well. After 3 weeks of maceration, it has developed a lot more depth and projects for hours and hours! You will smell this on you for the whole day easily. Lasts about 7-8hrs for now. But it has just started macerating and I expect it's gonna hit the 12hr mark soon. I had classic stone for 1 month now and this one is getting more and more potent by the day and even rivaling Teriaq intense. I think pure crystal has the potential to be a beast mode fragrance as well, judging off of the first spray. It's pretty hard to say if it's unisex. To me it smells feminine with a touch of masculine-leaning spice, but the dry down suits an older woman best (25-45y). As a man, I still wear it, but still fear the judgment😂 It's best worn in fall and winter at night time or for date nights, (I personally wear it before bed at times and I smell amazing when I wake up😆👌). One spray on clothes goes a long way so don't overspray this thing. Treat this just like Teriaq intense. If you're a woman, I'd DEFINITELY RECOMMEND wearing this on date nights because it can easily become a VERY NOSTALGIC SCENT! This smells very dressed up and sophisticated on a woman. If you wear this I might lose my sh!t FR. It's not your cozy-cuddly/juvenile/gourmand type of scent. It gives off sophisticated, bold and confident woman vibes. The ones who can pin men down with their heels😂. I never smelt Sugar Addict, but I can say that pure crystal has good quality juice with barely any synthetic aspect. Women like it and for the more masculine man out there, that's not for you guys just don't bother. If you like Teriaq intense, pure crystal gives off a similar feel. Just remove the saffron and tone down the cinnamon from Teriaq intense, add that bright/almost fizzy ginger and bergamote freshness, and you'll pretty much get the base scent profile of pure crystal. It's just that it smells more feminine. Value: 10/10. Scent: 9/10 for the price but could have had more depth (maybe needs a tiny touch of leather or oud or iris). Projection: 8/10. Longevity: 9/10. Versatility: 7/10

For those of you who want to buy this read this first. 1) I have no idea of how Drunk Lovers smells like BUT I do know how this one smells like and similar to (so maybe Drunk Lovers is also in that direction). What you can smell is a combo of SWY + Spicebomb Extreme. It is quite a great well blended scent and in the dry down the tabacco note does take the lead which does also in Spicebomb Extreme (BTW Pure Crystal ain't headaching or so choking like Spicebomb is). Very nice scent, it is also quite weird because it just jumps back and forth being either SWY Absolutly / Intensly or Spicebomb. I do get those red berries note but it ain't a main note. It is very laid back and used mostly as an aromatic to the notes. 2) Very very gorgeous bottle and presentation. Metal everywhere even tho it's tin, very nice from lattafa to use metal. Heavy bottle, magnetic box. 10/10. 3) GREAT PRICE. While both of the designer frags I mentioned above are very expensive this can definitely scratch the itch for both of them for a tiny fraction of the price. I paid for the lattafa ~25 Euros on discount, while same on discount for each of the designers I've paid : Spicebomb Ext ~90 Euros, SWY Intens 100E (from Douglas). That's why I give it a love, not because I do love the scents themselves, Well I do but with time you will get a more refined nose and you will want to look up for more "niche" type scents. I give it a love because you get what designers offer you for a fraction of the price for the same oil and quality (EVEN BETTER) and also better packaging and bottle. Great job from Lattafa.

Very good work by Lattafa here. I've said it before, they're at their best when they do original DNAs and don't actively dupe others. It gets inspiration from some perhaps (it does share similarities with Drunk Lovers but IMO it's far from close, probably only 70%-ish). Pure Crystal is a beautiful, sexy sweet fragrance that opens up with bright citruses and tart fruits before transitioning into an appealing spicy boozy mid (women might want to try first, since the boozy aspect might turn some off) and ending up with a pleasant ambery drydown. It's definitely one for date nights. It could be a daily driver if you tone down the sprays, as it's pretty sweet and spicy. Definitely colder weather focused as well, will do best in colder Fall and in Winter season. It projects quite a bit and lasts a good 8-10 hours on me with only 4 sprays. Great work by Lattafa, don't sleep on this one!

Ok this is soooo good. At first I get a bit of that men's shaving cream scent until drydown. After that 15 minutes or so it's spicy, bright from the citrus and ginger, and sweet vanilla. Definitely getting sandalwood too. Before drydown it leans masc but I have a feeling it needs to mature a bit. I definitely see this getting brighter and maybe spicier. After it settles it is unisex leaning feminine, but I really think anyone can wear this. If I remember I'll update about how it's aged, but its already very nice. The longevity isn't the best right now, only projects for 2 to 3 hours, hopefully that will get better as well. Lattafa does tend to need time to mature so I'm really excited that its already so good. I may be getting a full size of drunk lovers as well!

Exquisite fragrance. Can’t put into words how this smells, it’s a slightly boozy and berry blast. The cinnamon is there too. Leans feminine and I’m not a feminine fragrance wearer, but i’ve been rocking this and might have to cop Drunk Lovers. I just feel that no one can hate this, it’s heavenly. I still don’t know how this performs, but sure as hell I’m not going out wearing this without a decant of it. The cap is loose, I still don’t know who at Lattafa thought it would be good to launch a fragrance whose cap wouldn’t click anywhere, missing its function. Top 5 fragrances I want to smell from my shelf at 3 AM.

Just got this and was expecting a much stronger and richer composition. Smells like a very weak, flat and linear barber shop shaving cream and doesn't go anywhere beyond that. I guess I will have to let it sit for a while to get the full beauty of the blend. I will come back in a few weeks to update. 9 Days later - it's a lot brighter and richer. It needed a little time to deepen and blend. Now I love it!

I never smelt Drunk Lovers. This fragrance immediately reminded me of Liquid Brun, which in itself is an Althair clone. However, I find Pure Crystal way more wearable and less cloying without that orange blossom. It's definitely an improvement on that type of fragrances. I'm very pleasantly surprised with this. I see it as a cold weather fragrance but it could be worn on cool summer nights for sure.

Call me crazy but the vanilla amber cinnamon mix gives me stronger with you intensly vipe but the red berries , grapefruit and bergamont makes it a bit of a unisex ... so now I can wear that fantastic DNA instead of envy men for having it all to themselves .. love it so much , it also has decent longivty and sillage.. Love it!

Boozy. Masculine. Reminds me of a quieter Korus from YSL. Nice. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous. The juice is pleasant but not groundbreaking however it’s very wearable and decent. The bottle alone is worth the money.

Sexy and intimate fragrance. It is perfectly unisex yet daring and makes me feel like I'm in the arms of a lover. I don't know how to explain it, but it just smells "right". I wish it performed better. 8,5/10

It smells nice. A non-descript sweet smelling and slightly boozy fragrance. It's pretty weak though.

This is miles better than Mahd Al Dhahab! Performance 8/10 Scent 11/10

So, I bought this and Mahd al dhahab to see which I like more and which is closer to drunk lovers. Mahd al dhahab is a bit spicier than pure crystal. I sprayed about an hour and a half ago and (one spray on each arm) and pure crystal is projecting much better while I'm having a harder time getting a whiff of Mahd al dhahab. They both smell amazing though; however, I'd probably just go with pure crystal. Great smell and very similar to lattafa asad bourbon too, except that one is much fresher. Ez blind buy

This one definitely has that sharpie marker smell in the opening very similar to what you get in Tom Ford Ombré Leather, Goldfield & Banks Silky Woods, and even Initio Side Effect. There’s also a warm, boozy twist that makes it really intriguing. I do like the scent, but on my skin it leans a bit too masculine. I’ll be giving it to my husband because I think it’ll smell amazing on him!

The opening reminds me so much of chewing gum in the shape of a cigarette, the middle is similar to Mahd Al Dhahab, but the closing is not worth paying attention to, kind of a cheap end. All in all, the perfume seems to run through the notes and nothing special happens.

To Die for ! 4 instants squirts back to back 💦💦💦 with no stroke upon receipt ! My soul left my body for 1 week ! wtf omg. How can this even be real? This is the scent Parfum I have been longing for and dreaming of my entire life but finally found ! The opening is the best opening ever however the Only problem is that it doesn’t last long . I’ve had it since February and the plastic accord does leave after maturation. This made me buy drunk lovers by BTSO. BTSO better send Lattafa a check for the referral . How can these houses hate on the dupe companies when I’ve bought more OGs after having the dupe ?!?! Lattafa nailed it and is very close . Unfortunately the opening on drunk lovers doesn’t last that long either . If BTSO can make the opening its own linear bottle that lasts for hours , I’d pay 10k. It’s that gooddddd

Smells amazing, a woody sweet seductive scent. It's not too boozy thankfully I'm not a fan of those. I'm really impressed with my decant I hope over the review with it the performance matches how great it smells. EDIT: Projects pretty decently first few hours then goes into a skin scent. Longevity is about 7 hours with 4 sprays. I understand Arabiyat counterpart also has similar performance if i'm correct. So I guess go for the nicer looking bottle. Smells really really nice I may have to purchase.
