Qaed Al Fursan Untamed

(Review of 90ml Bottle) To address the elephant in the room, this absolutely does remind me of Versace Eros. Especially when you've got the bottle in hand and you're taking some whiffs of the scent as it sits behind the sprayer. But I don't think it's entirely related to Eros, despite their similarities in smell. There's a lot going on here that I didn't really get from Eros. I have not sampled Versace Eros Najim yet - so I can't attest to the similarities there, but there is some definite overlap between these two branches of scent within in the fragrance tree. One who enjoys the Eros line may enjoy Qaed Al Fursan Untamed as well. Anyway, I think the "Woody Spicy" denotation for this one isn't exactly misleading, but it's only a piece of the puzzle. This fragrance is actually quite sweet thanks to the dominating caramel note in the blend here; and what I also think is the amber note too - though I find the caramel aspect to be particularly tenacious from the start and the amber much more noticeable the longer the scent sits on skin. Overarchingly though, this does play out much like a standard, lovely woody spicy aroma usually would. This guy opens with a BLAST of cinnamon that permeates the experience for at least a couple hours. It's accented nicely by fragrant, almost floral cardamom and nutmeg, and a squeeze of mandarin juice underscores the composition here to add some freshness to the mix. That caramel note also does jump out almost immediately. It is by far the most dominant note in this fragrance, for some even being a bit too strong. I don't find this to be THAT strong, but it will turn some people off for sure because it is still rather potent. It does blend with those spices beautifully though, and when the more herbal accords like the lavender and sage come in, it helps cut down the caramel sweetness to a more controllable level. There's an ALMOST evergreen quality to it when you really get your nose into it, which might be that cypress note! The other most notable part of this fragrance is the drydown, which grows into a sweetened amber mix, complete with woody undertones. I find the olibanum to be my favorite addition here because it almost mirrors that aromatic, evergreen quality I mentioned earlier in the middle notes. The amber here is also quite lovely - sweet, somewhat darkened, and resinous - and is blended super well with the rest of the juice, making it an excellent core accord for this scent. The sweetness once again is still mostly here as it really is as pertinent as others say it is. I still catch strong whiffs of the cinnamon as well, but in a supporting role over a dominating one here. As it dries and dries that sweet/spicy combo does fade into a more classy amber wood scent on my skin with a distinct spiciness and traces of balsam floating around the drydown. You can find these for about twenty dollars at various stores like TJMaxx or Burlington, and I'd very much say this is worth the money. I am not totally in love with this fragrance, as I do find the sweetness to be a tad cloying for my nose, and some notes do lack a little depth, but the value proposition here is unmistakably excellent. This guy lasts at least 7 hours or so on me and projects off the skin so well, that the girl behind the counter at a convenience store making my chicken sandwich told me "is that you that smells so good?" So frankly - I'd say that's STRONG, and damn good. Another very solid cheapie from the legendary house of solid cheapies, Lattafa. Some people even say this one macerates very well, curious how this might develop over time!

Lattafa Qaed Al Fursan Untamed- what are we gonna get with this? I picked it up today at Burlington for 16 dollars. Well, it does not disappoint for a cologne you can get for 10-30 bucks. Features -Pressurized atomizer -Magnetic cap -3.04 oz (Great amount for price) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thoughts/ Main scent: Untamed in my opinion is a great fragrance! First, it is made from a very reputable fragrance company; Lattafa. It is inspired off of the Middle-eastern exclusive Versace Eros Najim, which does not smell like the normal Versace eros you'd find normally. It contains a very musky and woody/cinnamon opening, which settles into a lavendar, caramel, woody base and a tint of sweetness but not alot. I know this is a dupe of Eros Najim, but I find this scent to be VERY close to Burberry Hero Eau de Parfum; but instead with a much more caramel and lavendar scent profile, compared to the bare woody smell of Burberry Hero EDP. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Performance: For 16 dollars, Untamed performs extremely good. While it opens with a musk and a woody base, I feel after it dries down into its lavendar and caramel aftersmell, it lasts around 4-8 hours. Standard for an EDP, but amazing at this price point. As for projection, your not gonna fill an entire room, but it will be smelled by someone in arms length. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blind buy safe: Honestly, no. Qaed Al Fursan Untamed is a great fragrance for the right person, but it appeals as a very masculine and expensive smelling fragrance, and might not be liked by some of the people who love sweet, candy-like smells. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When should you wear it: To me, this is not an everyday cologne. This is something I would wear maybe to graduation or end of year school party, or school dance, but not something everyday. I would personally lean to a more fresh ultra-safe fragrance like Azzaro Chrome, CK Eternity Aqua, or Versace Pour Homme. While you technically could wear it, I wouldn't but you totally can if you love the smell. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is it worth the price point: Yes. Yes. Yes. For a cologne that retails for 30 dollars but you can get at off-price discounters for 20-10 dollars, this is a steal. This cologne smells very expensive for how low-priced it is. Plus, you won't have to worry if you don't like it, you only spent 16 dollars versus a 175 dollar "niche" cologne. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final rating: 8/10 Very solid fragrance will keep in my personal collection in-stock.

Nose Note #565 This (Eros Najim, I suppose) goes in the direction of: Armani Stronger With You, Rabanne Victory Elixir, some from the Carolina Herrera Bad Boy line and other super sweetened up aromatic scent with an emphasis on amber, cinnamon, pepper. So this one offers nothing new, but I can tell you that I like this one much more than all mentioned above. Even though I dislike Stronger With You, I think Untamed is closest to it, but it doesn't have the chestnut note or whatever that I just can't stomach. This is basically a good mens fougere, but sweetened up to the max. Cinnamon, orange, lavender, caramel, amber - all these go hand in hand and altogether the blend feels almost perfect. I generally don't like very sweet and gourmand fragrances, but this somehow became an exception. So it's both a common modern sweet mens scent, and at the same time it's special in its own way. It's like they've mixed Eros (which I'm indifferent to) and Stronger With You (which I don't like at all) and got this wonderful thing. The OG just spat on and I don't know why. Maybe Lattafa did a better job. I don't see connection between this and Asad Bourbon. Upd. after 4 months: I change my rating to "moderate" longevity (at best). I've been wearing this alternating with Ansaam Silver (which is very similar to Asad Bourbon). Ansaam Silver is LONG lasting. This I can bearly pick up after an hour. And they do kind of go in a similar direction, but not hugely. I've grown to like this scent and Ansaam much more. But I wish Untamed lasted longer. Performance is below average. Though the juice to dirt cheap. The start can be really not nice when oversprayed. But I have to say, the scent itself is just very nice. Well done. 8.5/10, special among the mass of sweet mens fragrances. The best in Qaed al Fursan line

Random purchases at Burlington. For the hype and rating I felt it was a good blind buy especially for $18.99 USD. I can't compare it to Eros Najim because I haven't smelled it. I definitely like this . From the look of the note breakdown and stuff I smelled I was afraid that this would be super strong or smell too spiced candle. It is none of that and that is a big plus for me. In the opening you smell spices but not overly warm with the orange . On skin it is dryer in the air it is sweeter and on clothes it is a tad more citrus . The opening isn't bad but as this develops after about 30-45 minutes it smells very good. You smell the caramel, light spices, Olibanum , light woody . It does get sweeter on the dry down but it's not super sweet at all. This is all about the dry down . On skin it does smell a tad dusty , not bad. But the whiffs in the air are very good. In the air it all comes together so nice. With these types of fragrances I'm afraid of them smelling too "fall" or "Christmas" and when they are strong you smell like a Christmas aisle. This is "light" and super pleasant. Performance, this is not beast mode unless you shower in it , and I'm talking about 10 sprays. Sillage is not great. BUT what I really like is that it creates a nice close scent bubble . Anyone near you will catch a good whiff but no one several feet away will unless a breeze hits you. You catch whiffs of it throughout the day. So it's strong up close which is what I prefer . On a heavy use day I will spray this 8 times. 6 on skin and 2 shirt and it all stays close and lasts about 7 hours. Anyone looking for this style fragrance that isn't offensive it's totally worth a try. I am giving this a 7/10 . I'm very curious to how this will smell in a couple months

Qaed Al Fursan Untamed by Lataffa is a delightfully pleasant fragrance that has captured my senses, and I am thrilled to have received mine today. Eight months later and this thing is absolutely singing!! Like literally EVERY one of my Lattafa fragrances, this one took a bit of time to come into its own, and wow was it worth the wait! That trio of spices, cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom blend beautifully with mandarin orange. But the heart is where it really gets lovely! Sweet caramel meets fresh lavender and that rosy, sweet geranium and it’s magical. The sage and cypress give it a bit of a green nuance too. And the amber! The amber is warm and rich. And with with the olibanum and cedar wood, the dry down is simply gorgeous. I have 42 bottles of Lattafa fragrances, and I’ll say from lots of experience, ANYONE judging or making a “final” review or evaluation of a BRAND NEW Lattafa fragrance is judging a chicken before it’s even hatched! Kindly disregard those reviews. I can’t speak for different batches or formulations, but this bottle I got last May is bonkers good!! Matter of fact, I’m gonna rock this one tomorrow as my scent of the day. I’ll report back with an update. But for now, imho, this is a BANGER!

It first meets me with a very strong caramel and cinnamon mix, I get a little nutmeg too. Very warm, I do not get the spicy but definitely sweet. Smells almost as if you had a mandarin orange covered in cinnamon and caramel, while sipping on almost an egg nog. If that makes sense. It smells decently similar to the flanker, Najim, although it is not very smoky, and less dark, more unisex. Some people have been saying it’s similar to Eros edt, I don’t get that at all. Longevity is slightly low, 4-5 hours max, then it sticks to the skin. Very good for the price, 20 dollars for any cologne is amazing, I love the scent profile. Overall to summarize, it has a decent sill-age, roughly 2 feet. Around 4-5 hours then the scent stays close to skin. Perfect for date nights. I would say perfect for a 2 hour dinner date. Strong for the first 2 hours and smells like a caramel covered sweet orange. Overall definitely worth picking up for only 20 dollars. Well done lattafa, well done. (I love this whole line)

It's a thick warm amber caramel gourmand with lavender, cinnamon & nutmeg, uplifting citus and fresh green all very well blended, and lots of verticle dimension not just syrup. It runs about $15 a bottle and needs to macerate for several months, but its one you just fall into. My 16 year old son agrees... he stole mine😂 It lasts 6 hours on me and my skin eats most fragrances. I'm a girl but its delicious enough that I don't care it leans masculine. I layer it on my chest/shirt, with leonie/libre on my wrists sometimes going out which brings out the orange and lavender. A dab of khamrah brings out the cinnamon. A drop before la vie est belle vanilla nude, or fruity fragrances like taskeen, or florals like Rua or Mohra Silky Rose. Or to round out structure on the refined 1878 prestige oud. Or pair with choco musk. Its multiuseful. My favorite is just a drop alone before bed. Its an amazing scent.

Incredible quality/price ratio. For me, it's fresh enough to wear in the summer, as the tangerine note is very present, and that's how I use it, since I have many more intense fragrances with a similar profile, more suitable for colder climates. There's something medicinal about it, which is perfectly acceptable to me, but perhaps not to everyone's liking. A good buy for those who like fragrances in the style of Boss Bottled Absolu or JPG Le Male Elixir. It leans more towards the spicy side than smoky or woody, and the caramel note doesn't overpower or make it too sweet, so even in warm climates you can wear it without seeming inappropriate. I can't comment on the similarities to Eros Najim because I'm not familiar with that one, but it doesn't matter to me at all. For around 10€, it was a bargain.

This stuff is beautiful. Definitely for cooler/colder weather. Probably not for the hottest of summer days, but I definitely think you can pull this off on a summer evening if's not too hot. Strong, so watch the sprays. I think I overdid it around the neck area, and it gave me one hell of a headache that lasted all night long (took a shower, headache went away)! I love the spicy/sweet combination that Untamed has going on--very appealing to my nose; these types of scents tend to work well with my body chemistry. It seems like the Qaed al Fursan line is another one that is very polarizing among fragheads... but I like all their offerings. This is a really nice, mass-appealing scent for sure! A bit synthetic, sure, but a steal for under $20! Pick it up!

For the price i mean its a steal, moderate sillage for 6-8 hours, the notes allow it to be strong but not projecting but you do pick up the smell, nice citrus and cinnamon and close to the skin has an interesting kind of resinous smell i cant identify. No pineapple just a nice smooth orangey cinnamon wood frag. Got this a gift for a family member and its definitely a year round scent, fresh with orange and spicy with cinnamon but has depth. It doesnt blow the socks off me but it is extremely solid, its why it gets a love from me but that takes into account all the factors for its versatility smell and price point. I recommend a blind buy and is reminiscent of that versace DNA but does remind me of najim more than anything. Gets an 7.9/10 for me.

I tried the original in Boots about 2 weeks ago and couldnt justify the £100 price tag for 100ml of this juice. The perfume shop sent me a free 1ml sample of the parfum version and I tried it again so when I saw untamed for only £9 on sale I grabbed it with no second thought. I have it currently on either hand, the initial opening of Najim is mandarin forward, and dried down to a caramel, sweet, Smokey, incense. This skips the heavy mandarin (it’s still citrusy) but 2 minutes in they are identical. I asked my girlfriend to smell either hand blindly and she said the hand with the Lattafa on was stronger. 9/10 for this fragrance, I’d cop it now before it gets super hyped! Marked up because of cheapness,

I love Najim so much. Is this Najim? Absolutely not. Is this good? Absolutely. Is this one of the best fragrances I've ever purchased dollar for dollar? Abso-friggin-lutely. It's just good, it's blind buy safe, and its mass appealing. I don't think there is a better fragrance for $20. If it gets better with time like other clones, then this is going to be heaven later. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I don't get any synthetic properties out of the box like other clones. I will agree with others though, this is a bit redundant if you own any fresh frags similar to eros. Edit: Turns into Ralph's Club EDT after 4 to 5 hours.

Pretty impressive how this one projects way above my expectations (and for the $$$ aswell - worth mentioning!). Very masculine scent, nevertheless that's not a summer fragrance for sure, too heavy. I get mostly nutmeg, vetiver, cedarwood and spiciness in the opening that changes after an hour into sweetness - subtle yet present, develops very fluent. Lasts around 8h on my skin. Perfect for outside during autumn I guess, wouldn't rather recommend for office because might cause a little headache. Haven't tried the original Versace Eros Najim unfortunately so cannot make a comparison.

Smooth soft citrus and warm sweet spices blended with caramel, what's not to love about it? Initially I might've agreed with the comparison to Ejaazi however after 2 months I don't really get it as much, this is much smoother and creamier whereas the former is more musky. I find that the middle notes of this down vaguely reminds me of His Confession perhaps due to the cypress but I consider that a plus. Longevity on me is average (about 4hrs) though, but I have to admit I'm a sweaty guy so take that with a grain of salt but for 20 bucks this is a keeper.

I've had my share of hits and misses with blind buys. To this point, Untamed has been the best blind buy I've made. Perfect blend of spicy and sweet. The mandarin is a nice, fresh compliment to the cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg. The sweet/spicy combo carries over to the mid and base notes with caramel & amber and earthy/woody warm spices like olibanum, cedarwood, and labdanum. I've only smelled Najim once and haven't been able to do a side-by-side comparison, but at its price point Untamed is a no brainer for those who like this scent profile.

Just got it in the mail today. It's a really good fragrance, it says it's a clone of Verace Eros Najim. A fragrance I haven't had the pleasure of putting my nose on as if yet but.... Its food as hell nonetheless. It reminds me of Prive by Paci Rabanne on steroids. It also puts me in mind of Lattafas Raghba Wood Intense and Khamra with a fresh element to it. I can see this being a year round fragrance. Today's my first wear I'm trying to pin point the longevity but I'd say so far 4 hours, not sure about the sillage though.

I picked this up right off of TikTok shop and I could not have been happier with this blind buy! I own the previous two and this one is nothing like them. Also, as someone who's memory is closely tied to scent, this fragrance (to my nose) I am SO happy with it as it is VERY similar to a perfume (which is now sadly discontinued) and I used to wear many years ago during a time I very dearly miss. (Ikks Total Rock) If anyone has a bottle of it, I would be so glad to buy it off of you. :)

I’ve never smelled Najim but I own Eros and did a head-to-head comparison. Untamed is woodier and not quite as sweet-spicy as Eros. It seems to be a more grown-up version of Eros. Untamed lacks the performance of Eros but by no means is it weak. I’d say Untamed is for the guy who has graduated from night clubs to piano bars. It’s still a bold attention-grabber but it isn’t yelling, “I’m a spoiled college kid who hasn’t learned anything other than the many benefits of tetracycline!”

7.5/10 this fragrance strikes you as "I've smelled this before" and "I think this is a designer." Many compare this to the Versace frags, but I feel it has some similarities to several other well-crafted designers also. Biggest downside: it's not a super huge projector or sillage machine, prepare for many sprays for it to register. Layer it with a few blasts of regular Qaed Al Fursan to add a nice pop of fresh pineapple into the mix. I'm a fan at this price point.
