Queen of Roses

As someone who adores spicy oriental type fragrances but not so much rose or heavy florals, this one was a blind buy gamble. I really like it though! There is a lot of pink pepper, saffron, and a soft and almost creamy rose up front, it feels mysterious and witchy and perfect for cooler weather. If you like gothic type scents and more niche fragrances you may enjoy this spicy, warm rosy blend. A lot of the time rose notes give me scent migraines but Queen of roses does not. The rose is prominent but not overpowering. I would say is more like an incense-y baby pink rose, not a fresh loud red rose. It smells good to me right out of the box but am also not sad to let this one continue to age though the summer months for fall use. An influencer said that this is a dupe for Brompton Immortals by Ex Nihilo, I have never smelled the original, but I feel safe saying that this is probably a more mild and streamlined version if so, as most of the Arabian dupes tend to be, but also more work friendly. Another reviewer said that this is like Sweet Diamond Pink Pepper from Kayali, I could see the comparison but Sweet Diamond is much more rosey and has more patchouli. Overall, I recommend this one if you like edgy spicy florals

Very similar it Velvet Roses by Lataffa , more spicy but similar. Im a fan the dry down is worth the wait Correction not sure which came first but this and Hawass London are the same

This is a beautiful, spicy, seductive, mature rose. I love it.

It was with much anticipation that I received and applied Lattafa "Queen of Roses." I received the perfume in a lovely box set that included four large Lattafa samples. I'm on the search for a lovely, AFFORDABLE rose-centric perfume that I can liberally apply and enjoy at bedtime (mostly). After initially disliking Queen of Roses, I can say the perfume is growing on me! Even though QOR is undeniably an odd fragrance, I find the perfume oddly intriguing. Upon initial application, all I can smell is strong, peppery rose and very oily saffron. And to my nose, the saffron note smells industrial and akin to motor oil. But as the fragrance develops on skin, things improve. The rose note persists. But the emergence of a greenish patchouli, along with amber, musk & vanilla tame the fragrance and balance out the somewhat screechy opening. The base notes improve things a lot and the dry-down is even better. I also think not over-spraying, or not over-applying is key. Not a love but we'll see.

Acquired taste, NOT BLIND BIND SAFE. This is in your face "harsh" perfume. Can't wash it off, still lingers on skin after shower. I like complicated perfumes but this is too much, even for me.

First impression, the first few minutes are okay, but after that you don't wish you had ever smelled it, the only thing interesting in this case is maybe just the bottle.

This is not a youthful rose or modern; beware. I had to return it after trying it and trying.. the presentation is beautiful! But that is it...

The live I watched had the notes listed as fresh and floral and by the bottle I believed it. Technically this was a real blind buy. I was met with a saffron heavy peppery rose that took some getting used to. This is a very beautiful and rich fragrance that I receive compliments on. It is a spicy rose in an amber coated vase. The patchouli adds depth but the amber and saffron blend keep it interesting. This took me a minute to get used to but it is very beautiful. Not blind but safe. A nice touch also is that it comes with 4 additional Lattafa niche emarati and pride fragrances.

If you are a seasoned perfume wearer and like a spicy unisex perfume, yes a safe blind buy. This is not for a novice and for those who like soft, light, girly perfumes. The presentation is fab and the bottle itself is quite heavy and feels quite premium. I have yet to test the longevity and projection though. I will get back to you.

This is a beastmode interpretation of Kayali Sweet Diamond Pink Pepper. I have both and on the dry down, these two fragrances are the same. I can still smell Queen of Roses on a blanket I had sprayed it on, two weeks ago!

This is giving a poor knock off of Tom Ford Rose Prick. Is anyone getting that?
