Ra'ed Silver

This is unexpectedly so tropical and juicy !! Way lighter than what I expected. Ngl, the notes kinda scared me at first bc wdym spices, oud, cloves, and ambergris all in one perfume??? 😭 It’s got that aquatic masculine fragrance DNA that you’d find in Nautica, Versace Eros, and etc. Which is a scent profile I don’t wear at all, so I’ll be giving this one away to my brother. Initial spray has that kick of citrusy and spiced cider drink that you’d have at autumn but it instantly changes to a zesty and juicy pineapple !! As it dries down it reminds me a lot of mexican spiced fruits or idk what they’re called but basically pineapple with tajin and chamoy but please fear not !! It’s not a savory and pungent spice bomb !! It’s rlly marmalade-y, it has a candied fruitiness, and it has just the right pinch of warm spices !! It’s not rlly a problem for me but for people who are looking for more complex scents, I think you’d enjoy something else bc this is pretty linear. Ra’ed maintains its juicy cider-y spiced pineapple until the last hour of wear. No lemon biscuits, no vanilla, and no gourmand warmth to my nose (which i would’ve loved even more that way) Regardless if it doesn’t develop much, it’s still a nice fruity scent that everyone can enjoy as it’s super easy to wear. This is definitely best worn at beaches and sand dune escapades.

#388 in my "Tour de Fragrance" If you were almost a Paco Rabanne XS fan but didn't go for the chocolatey vibe (which along with its sad performance is why I gave my bottle away), you will certainly like this, but you have to give it a few minutes. What you smell at first is not what you'll smell in five minutes as the citrus mellows out. I don't know how some are reminded of Cedrat Boise by a scent with no cedar. Way better sillage and longevity than most scents, on which basis I decided a while back that no EDT was really worth keeping. This is 100% at least EDP, I would even say extrait in potency. Usually a top note of cinnamon would put this straight in the donation box for me, but it isn't prominent to the point of being repellant, just nice. I already have so many amber-vanilla scents that I'm going to pull them all back out with the goal of donating all but two or three, so I don't know if this is ultimately a keeper, but it's a great scent with great performance that isn't sickeningly sweet or offensive sprayed with single spritz restraint, so it's a top candidate for a place in the rotation. Casual wear only. Like most of these strong amber-vanillics, please don't inflict this on your carpool or wear in tight spaces. Probably best for casual dates. One spritz. You needn't spritz clothing either.

I'm a newbie to the fragrance world and this is my first ever review, so I just wanted to get that out of the way. I've been wearing Ra'ed Silver for 4 months now (fall - winter where I live) and it's very good. The scent is a bit gourmand - some kind of vanilla cookie aroma along with some spices to my nose. Not overly sweet, it is powdery and has a bit of complexity to it. I can smell a little smokiness in the drydown, but the scent remains fairly consistent. On clothes though, that smokiness is much more prominent in my experience. As for longevity it's solid, on skin it lasts very long. 3-4 sprays max with this one and the fragrance projects fine within first hour and a half: not overly loud, but definitely not unnoticeable. The best part is definitely its versatility; it can be worn both in colder autumn and winter periods, as well as spring. I personally wouldn't wear it during hot summer days though. I usually wear it during daytime, but I'd say it's suitable for nighttime as well. Overall, for around 30 euros for 100ml this is definitely a great buy and I highly recommend Lattafa Ra'ed Silver!

As mentioned by others, on arrival this smelled like a toxic mess. I only kept it because I was too lazy to throw it away. Took it out today (6 months later) to throw it away, and holy cow, it now smells good. While I get the comparison to Cedrat Boise, it’s not a clone. Or even that close unless CB defines all citrus and wood combos. CB is fruity and woody at its core. This is amber and vanilla at its core. While this opens with a citrus (orange), even the type of citrus is different from CB. I think people comparing on paper are getting too much of the top notes and hence calling it a clone. Also paper makes this misleadingly bright. Those top notes quickly tone down on skin. Moving beyond comparisons, the sweet vanilla and amber combo with hints of spice makes this a wonderful cool weather scent or perfect all year in AC environments. It’s comforting and totally unisex. Saffron and leather add a dry nuance to counterbalance the sweet but don’t define this scent. Phenomenal value and utility for the money. Just remember to not use it for a couple months...

Have you ever tried Wrigley's Extra sugarfree chewing gum "Fruit or Bubblegum flavor, the pink one"? if yes, then you already know what this fragrance smells like. It's mildly spicy, mildly sweet, with some freshness to it. It's an easily likable/wearable scent. I think it works anytime of year, except maybe for hot summer days. Performance is good, around 7 hours with mild projection. I understand the comparisons with Cedrat Boise but the saffron and cloves really stick out for me with Raed. So I think it's different enough and surely not a clone. It's a great fragrance on its own and a cheapie that's worth getting, imo.
