Sheikh Shuyukh Final Edition

I have recently been experimenting with a few Arab fragrances and houses. The quality of this fragrance really speaks volumes to how much designer ones cost. If this had a premium name slapped on people would pay much more for this fragrance. I currently have on the original YSL Y on one hand and this fragrance on the other. Same DNA and smell the same quality however there are some differences. YSL Y is more clawing to my nose. I very much struggle with harsh fragrances. The apple in YSL Y punches your nose a bit more. This one like many others have said is darker and in my opinion smoother. I had a female friend smell it and she kept pulling my hand back to smell it more. For the price I don't think I can really justify YSL Y. Maybe it will last a little longer. But for the price you can have one at home. One at the office. One in the car and still have spent less than a bottle of YSL. For the price I'm am absolutely shocked at the quality. So far my experience with lataffa is they are great value for money. There are easy to reach for and douse your self before leaving the house. More than happy with this fragrance. Tempted to buy another bottle. Will update again once macerated. If the longevity and smell improves even further then for the price I'd have no choice but to give it a 10/10

I really like this scent, its similar to Y edp but different, it's less sweet and has more green herbal aspects and sometimes i detect a dark aspect as well, probably some of the leather / cedar / oakmoss, but its faint and really in the background. Overall all its a really good scent in my opinion, the issue is the longevity, big issue actually, but thats ok, got it for extremely cheap on the second hand market and it can be used for short errands, it will fit perfectly for that Update : we'll no, longevity is not extremely bad, is on the low end of moderate, but its better than armaf odyssey mega and i like the scent better as well, its an interesting scent

Have this one for over one year now This is a blue fragrance which you can compare easily to Y EDP by YSL.. The sweetness is toned down a bit compared to the YSL and it is more green. Versatile and classy. I get great performance out of it - projection beyond an arm's length for almost 2h with another 4h of soft projection and it lasts as a skin scent till I wash it off. I got it for 10$ and it is a sick deal at that price. Hope this helps! Cheers! Smells very similar to YSL Y EDP. It smells pretty good, I'd give it an 8/10. The performance is insane in the beginning, I'd say it's too strong. I put 2 sprays on my neck and one on each shoulder before the gym. The drive felt nauseating because of how strong it was. At the gym I was regretting putting more than one spray. it died down a little after like 3 hours but was still strong and projected well. It lasts about 7-12 hours on skin and 4-6 days on clothes. Smell: 8/10 Projection: 10/10 Versatility: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10 Price: 10/10 Overall Value: 9/10

VERY close to Y EDP but without the sweetness or the apple note. If you like Y EDP this will satisfy you for a fraction of the price. I like this over Fakhar because at least in Chile where I live, it's half the price with better performance (Sheikh 16$ vs Fakhar 40$ vs Y EDP 100$). If you don't know what Y EDP is and you're looking for a new fragrance, for the price this is a GREAT deal. Very versatile, smells like a confident man withouth offending anyone and it will perform way over the price point. You can't go wrong with this one.

A clever twist on YSL Y EDP /Y EDP Intense. It is less sugary sweet and more ash-metallic. If you like YSL for its sweetness, this isn't for you. If you like more of a fougere take, check it out. Aromatic lavender and sage hit me in the open alongside the citron and underlying light sweetness. For the heart the herbal note is more rosemary with floral light sweetness from mimosa and rose, popping from the cardamom. In the base I get some leather, vanillic ambery musk and mossy cedar. It feels very year round daily driver capable.

Really close to YSL Y EDP with a smidgen of Paul Smith’s London at the very start and, oddly, Tom Ford’s Beau De Jour during the mid. The oakmoss, rosemary and lavender bang hard off my skin. The same holy trinity that bang hard in TF’s Beau De Jour. Dries down to a close resemblance to Y EDP. Moderate projection. About 5-6 hours longevity. Which, when you think about it, for $45 AUD, this punches way above its weight. Lattafa for the office. Y for the evening / date nights. Bloody good stuff from Lattafa again.

Absolutely Brilliant! Projects well, lasts long, smells great and masculine, all for sub-20 dollars. Got a few hours of good projection, lasted on my skin above 8 hours. Starts out confidently citrusy, dries down to very elegant and pleasing aromatic woodiness. I would say this is very versatile yet it feels absolutely at home in the spring and summer. Good for the gym, work, and school. A nice cheapie that you can use as your daily. This is absolutely worth trying out.

19' batch here, bought this for my brother. He laughed his ass off due to the fact that this is basically Y EDP for 15$ Scared myself to death after reading the recent reviews of this fragrance because i bought this blind, not knowing the batch code and production date, lucky that i got the older batch. according to my brother's statements about this fragrance: Smell: 7,8/10 Projection: 8/10 Versatility: 8/10 Longevity: 7,6/10 Price: 10/10 Overall Value: 8,7/10

Production date was 2020 I don't know, but I love the opening to drydown, people around me say that the opening "smells bad" but for me it's aight. This one projects pretty good and can last up to 10+ hours on fabric, don't know about its full longevity on skin because I'm pretty sweaty. Overall this is a good frag for its price, got it for 17$.

A real people pleaser, has some pear and guava too but not listed here. One spray fills a room for me. It is an incredible performer!! This is a night time scent for me, I think during the day it's just a bit too thick and dark. It reminds me of Chris Hoye in a black shirt on a night out in some flash pub/club, I don't know why!

Lattafa's best version of Y EDP. It's slightly woodier and less sweet. Real Y EDP gives me headaches but this doesn't. Light/ moderate projection and decent longevity. Lattafa Fakhar Black is a hybrid fragrance (still v nice), Invictus/ Y EDP, whereas Sheikh al Shuyukh Final Ed is a full-on clone of Y EDP.

Yup this is YSL - Y EDP...but like a more mature version...a bit greener and less sweet. Suits this 51 year old man better than the original. For me this is also much better than Fakhar Black which I find to be the younger version of Y EDP. Amazing quality for the money and highly recommended.

I must say that this is a good performer 6+ hours. It smells a lot better than lattafa fakhar, fakhar smells very childish imo compared to this. Lattafa sheikh is very good, recommend it to everyone who wants cheap clone of ysl y !!!

Way better than Fakhar. More mature and masculine, less boring. Versatile as hell, wherever, whenever. Lasts a good amount of time too - minimum of 6 hours, with good projection in the first two.

Among all the Y dupes (Fakhar, Yeah, Odyssey Mega, WHY), I own all of them including the OG and I can say this is the most masculine version compared to all. Less sweet.

This absolutely needs maceration - I started wearing again after 2 years! It's really smooth now, very impressive scent.

Top notes are pretty good, Lemongrass goes hard as a Men's cologne

But still, the similarity is so striking that I was compelled to sell my original bottle of Y and replace it with this one. My preference leans towards Arabic fragrances, as I believe they often outperform their Western counterparts, which are usually only 10-30% better in quality (sometimes even worse) but at a price markup of 300-1000%. This disparity in value versus price strikes me as illogical. YSL Y EdP epitomizes a very generic, 'one-size-fits-all' scent — appealing yet lacking distinct originality. Yet, it was likable enough for me to seek out an alternative that offered similar appeal but at a fraction of the cost. Remarkably, I managed to acquire the Lattafa Sheikh Shuyukh Final Edition for less than 20% of the cost of YSL Y, paying less than €13. This fragrance earns my award as the most universally appealing Middle Eastern scent. It's hard to dislike, unless one is exceptionally discerning or considers themselves The Special One. In summary, this fragrance presents an economical yet sophisticated alternative to YSL Y EdP, highlighting the financial value of Middle Eastern clone perfumery. When I first got this I was surprised. I was expecting the sharp ginger aldehydic type vibe the OG gives. At first was disappointed with it so I left it on the shelf for about month. Now coming back to it it’s much better and I’ve enjoyed wearing it. The sweetness is very toned down here compared to Y EDP. It’s missing the apple and ginger notes up top, so it’s much more dark and earthy, in combination with lemongrass. The mid to base is 85-90% similar to Y EDP. The absence of the juicy sweet apple, and crispness from the ginger makes this one a bit more mature. At first with Y EDP the sharpness and synthetic vibe was a bit headache inducing at first, I ended picking up the Le Parfum because the tonka really smoothed things out. Sheikh Shuyukh removes the headache inducing bit while still remaining very close to the mid and dry down of the original. If you’re a Y fan and looking for a cheap alternative this is a great pick up, but if you want that fruity juicy opening I’d go with something like Fakhar or Odyssey Mega. Still, this is probably the best at capturing the mid and base. Might need to let it macerate a few weeks though

This was a blind buy based on a YouTube reviewer. And for the price ($26 delivered), I couldn't pass it up. The notes are spot on. You get the lemongrass right out of the gate. About 15 minutes in you get the lavender note. The dry down gets you slighty musky, slighty woody and a little more amber. The lemongrass & lavender although more muted, are always there. This is a really nice scent. Very easy to wear. Not at all offensive. Very safe for all scenarios. You can wear this all year round but it excels in the warm weather. I get the impression it's best suited for a more mature audience. Very classy as well. I don't expect it to last longer than 6 hours. But let's see where it goes. I didn't expect this from a $26 scent. Very pleasantly surprised. I never owned or smelled YSL Y EDP so I have no idea how it compares to it and quite frankly, it's not important to me. If you're on the fence about buying a classy, warm weather scent, don't hesitate. You can't go wrong.

I've yet to try the real YSL Y in any form so I'll be basing this off of it's own scent instead. To me it's one of the better blue style fragrances you can buy for under $30 (US / CAD) If you're a big YSL Y fan the big difference you'll notice is this comes off as darker is what many will say. Based on what I've owned, it's like they reduced the amount of citrus found in Afnan Turathi Blue, Both have a nice aromatic depth to them, just this leans slightly soapy. Of the two I enjoy this more. Plus you get more than 80ml. Let this one macerate (age) for a month or two as the opening to this can come off as herbal the first few wearings due to the oakmoss and lemongrass, chances are you'll dislike it but it improves significantly. I think the bottle is ugly, the box is weird you'd never think a blue fragrance was in the packaging and I still have no idea how to properly spell this fragrances name!

I've worn this a couple of times now. I like the smell of it, I'll probably be grabbing this more than my other fragrances in my collection. It's a safe and versatile type of fragrance. It has that manly, well put-together, professional, serious, Bruce Wayne type of vibe. Safe for the office, the school, for business type of occassion or even a casual hangout time with friends. The sage and amber note is prominent here. With 3 sprays, it reaches 6-8 hours. With 10 sprays, reaches 12 hours, maybe even more. After 12 hours, I could still get strong whiffs of it on myself in the air.

I bought Fakhar Black, but since delivery got delayed, I got this one first, under $20. Now I have both, and comparing them side by side, they are extremely close. This one has lemon up top, and fades away in 3h. Fakhar Black has a bit similar synthetic opening, but overall is more refined, smooth, not lemony at all, instead it has apple, and I still smell its flowery sweetness 7h in and counting. The Fakhar's presentation is nicer too. But if you can't get that one, or it is more than $25, and/or you're not after long performance, this can be considered.

It's pleasant yes reminds me of YSL though I didn't like YSL very much I need to set it aside to mature a bit and hopefully the bubblegum sweetness will subside and it will become more woodsy and deep Edit: on my first wear I got a very shower gel prominent scent thru the entire wear of the fragrance which wasn't pleased to me 2nd edit after having it for 2 weeks and letting it sit and mature this has developed into a very nice scent today is 28 degrees outside and I put only one spray it is performing really good and the smell is very nice

On my skin. It y edp with earthly mossy note, less sweet less apple hate it at first, lemongrass on opening and mossy on drydown but quiet like it after a month,It get smoother and less harsh from lemongrass good performance 5-6h on skin and moss note for almost the whole day on cloth If you looking for more mature twist of y edp. maybe,get a sample first but "NO" for clone. get armaf odyssey mega instead I got this around $17-18 and like it more than Fakhar. So,no regret for this price.

This should be Y but it has its own thing, with a hint of leathery rosy aromatic mid note. Lemon grass stand all the way through dry down make it more herbal greeness than youthful fizziness apple note in Fakhar. Should I say it bad or good? Um... I say it Y style with a arabian twist (unlike Fakhar which has no arabian vibe at all). In the air it's close to Y EDP but upclose it's a twisted mature Y style. Longevity is great though on clothes, nice sillage with low projection.

This has an herbaceous smell with touches of leather and woods, nothing overwhelming. The lemongrass note remains prominent for hours. I don't get vanilla or musk, but perhaps the aromatics outweigh sweeter notes. It's refreshing and light while still assertive. Only very slightly more masculine than unisex, to my nose, so it could be an option for women who don't enjoy fruity or floral fragrances. Light enough to be worn all year, but has good longevity. I'm well impressed.

I have no idea how ysl smell a like so I had to try this one in lattafa store so it's a nice fragrance it doesn't smell cheap at all but it's weak fragrance 😕 I think this one is 2 hours fragrance and you need to apply again Edit 3/12 /24 I gave it a clean try.. it's great fragrance easy to wear Performance 8/10 Just need to maceration

Like the price would inform, megamega discount version of Y EDP. This doesn't have the zing and pop that makes Y EDP work so well. Decent budget option but I would recommend you buy fewer fragrances but ones that are higher quality, instead of a bunch of cheap crappy ones. Overall 7/10 subpar performance on me as well

Bottle? Hideous. Cap? Cheap. Atomiser? Close to horrible. Scent? A very sophisticated approach on YSL Y EDP. I like the scent as a semi-sweet fresh and clean take on a summer fragrance. For the money it was sure worth it and I can only advise it as a safe blindbuy as its a very pleasing scent for most people.

Again, exactly like Fakhar Black, this is not a direct clone of Y EDP. This is a mixture between Y EDP (60%) and Invictus Platinum (40%). Basically a darker version of Y EDP. Fakhar Black is instead a mixture of Y EDP and Invictus. The more accurate Y EDP clones are still: Armaf Odyssey Mega and Zara London.

Without apple so its not really an Y clone, the lemongrass at the beginning is a little harsh but drydown to a floral and citrus scent. Not everyone can appreciate the smell but I think this is perfect for gym or outdoor activity. Last around 5 hours before completely disapeared.

The #1 clone of YSL Y EDP IMO. Pretty much a 1:1 clone to my nose. I wear it to the gym because it's not really the type of scent I usually go for but man, it's really nice. Great projection on that thing and it clings to clothes for days.

If you want the og scent then just go and buy the og. No one said this is a 1:1 clone, this is inspired by-with a twist. If this was actually released by YSL people would rave about it. Stop bitching about it and just enjoy for what it is.

Looking for a cheaper alternative to YSL Y edp led me to this fragrance, I would say it’s not a 1 to 1 of Y but maybe 80% close, it has a suede vibe to it that Y doesn’t. Paid €16 so I can’t complain.works as a good daily easy grab.

If you like YSL EDP, just get it. It's about 80% close to the original. I'd say the difference is the opening. It's missing the sweet green apple and fizziness.

Grandpa's YSL Y EDP. Will make all the geriatric females in the room go crazy, if you're into that type of stuff... Very good for everyday wear and gym.

Juice is nice. Smells like a proper gentleman. The atomizer sucks though, it doesn't work well. It "squirts" out the perfume, it doesn't spray properly.

Cheap, smells pretty much just like Y EDP at a fraction of the price. I use it as a gym fragrance, 5-10 sprays, does its job well for the price.

This is like Y EDP, but more darker, mature. Lasts 6-8 hours on me with moderate projection.

The opening is hard at first but after an hour this is amazing

unisex (non-floral) sweet amber-woody smells like Lattafa Ejaazi (similar Ambroxan/Amberwood) + John Varvatos XX (the OG, dark blue bottle) (similar red apple note) + Versace Eros (similar sweet-freshness) = smells like YSL Y EdP opens with Ambroxan + Candied Red Apple (same screechy synthetic red apple note that's in JV XX Heritage (dark navy blue bottle), luckily the apple note is more screechy up close than in the air) + Sage note (similar to Eros due to similar sweetness) & lavender are underneath adding dense freshness along with slight cardamom adding to the amberwoody fuzziness; the more it dries the ambroxan lightens some + a hint of clean-muskiness making it a little brighter/fresher, as the cardamom takes a backseat to oakmoss & leather (neither are bold just supporting notes), however, the screechy synthetic red apple note is still there (like a bright red stain on a fuzzy navy blue canvas) over-shadowing the composition and taking it into feminine-sweet territory; gets slightly powdery when fully dry (about 12 hours in). playful-casual 'dumb reach', too sweet & synthetic for high heat or in-close settings, great for outdoors or open settings, can be worn any season day or night; Projection/Sillage' is GOOD, radiates within arm length w/ scent trail. Performance/Longevity is GREAT, last 12+ hours (on fabric). *Update (11/2024): You have to let this fragrance macerate, give it some air and time, it get's less synthetic.

Smells nice, but it doesn't last more than a few hours even on clothing. I'm not going to get rid of it, but I'm not going to be using it again for at least a few months. Maybe maturation will help with the longevity. It was only $20, so worst case, it can be an expensive air freshener. Edit: had to stop using this. That lemongrass note was too much, even as an air freshener.

Very harsh,sharp, sour and messy opening that last about 1/2 hour,after that smells ok. Can't stress enough how much i hate that ugly opening that stops me from using it. Got fooled by YouTubers to think this is a good alternative to ysl y but its not. If you love the dna and tried all the flankers and similar scents maybe try this

The opening is meh, I personally dislike it. But, the dry down is amazing in my opinion. I'd personally let it dry down for around 10-20 minutes before I go out. I think it's good for the price. Depends on where your going but, I'd put about 3-4 sprays MAX, its decently strong. I'd give it a 7/10 overall.

#12 review Quick review about that is just ok nothing special. It is quite synthetic frag but thats what you get the most in this price from arab guys. I dont get simmilarity to ysl that much i have got YSL and it is much better in my opinion. My rate 5/10

This is another YSL Y inspired fragrance from Lattafa, the other being Fakhar Black. Upon first application this one seems a little greener and less sweet than Fakhar Black, however I'm waiting until the weather gets nicer to make a final call.
