Thara

Thara is essentially an inspired take on BR540, capturing one of my favorite themes in perfumery. It opens with a candy-like sweetness paired with fresh, spicy notes, gradually evolving into subtle smoky undertones. The smoky nuances add a pleasant twist to the formula, making it slightly more herbal and grounded, yet this interpretation is so restrained that appreciating it is difficult. In creating the fragrance, Lattafa seems to have joined the trend of ultra weak clones with poor performance. I kept it in my wardrobe for over a year, and nothing changed. I'm highly disappointed. Perhaps to find another occasion for this small 30 ml bottle, I could just spray it around the house when cleaning. There isn't much more to say beyond that. The real flaw lies in this scent's performance. With almost no projection and lacking any longevity, it's hard to describe it at all — a completely wasted potential. Despite using around 40-50 sprays today, it barely lingers for a few minutes, leaving me questioning the purpose. I do like it, as with any fragrance that hints at BR540, but there are far superior clones of this classic theme. For a top recommendation, I'd suggest Armaf Club de Nuit Untold as the best clone in this category. Contrary to the only comment below, I think this is one of the worst BR540 clones due to its useless parameters.
