Almond Coconut Eau de Parfum

I had expectations for this to be lighter, but it’s a bit too rich for me. At the same time, it’s a delicate scent. It’s not the coconut I was expecting, but it smells more natural than the typical sunscreen scent. The best way I can describe it is it’s like a french vanilla and almond milkshake drizzled with popcorn butter. I think it also makes sense that it reminds me of popcorn butter because I had read somewhere that theatres would sometimes use coconut oil to pop the kernels. Overall, it’s a gentle aroma, but, texture-wise, it’s super silky, creamy and foamy—quite dense and cloying for my liking. I wish I could smell the coconut more, but the almond is overpowering it, and it’s throwing me off. I’ll need time to get used to this because I blind bought my bottle, but so far I feel it’s too heavy for summer, unless it’s a breezy day or a cooler night. It might be best worn during late summer to early fall, or late winter to early spring. ——— Update: It’s three days later, and I’ve gotten used to this. It’s so cozy and comforting! It’s no longer dense or cloying. The first time I wore it I was outside, and it was a humid evening. Perhaps that was the reason why it didn’t work out for me, initially. I’m now indoors, with the air conditioner on, and it’s a dreamy scent! I can smell the coconut more, too. My eyes just rolled back. This is going to be my bedtime fragrance this summer.

I love this scent, and I've decided to save up for a bottle. The almond is the foremost note, with vanilla-coconut closely following behind. I believe the vanilla-coconut sticks the longest re the dry down, eventually eclipsing the main nuttiness, but due to the small sample I tried in store and the vagueness of memory, that may not be quite accurate; I'd need a proper spray and day to test. I've had issue with some of Laura Mercier's other vanilla-based fragrances (despite the notes seeming like ones I'd like, its been a solid no for me) but this one I find lovely. It's a very simple fragrance, uncomplicated, but very well made and constructed. A lot of gourmand (and adjacent) sent families can be heavy or cloying in the summer, but I don't believe that would be a risk here. In fact, it smells like a late spring morning to me, post-shower or laundry. It's sweet without being too saccharine or edible, and nutty without being bitter or sharp or synthetic smelling. Simple yet delightful.

I really love this scent. It's pretty straightforward and smells exactly how the notes describe it, with almond and coconut being the strongest notes on my skin. I love scents that are almond heavy and this is perfect for me as the coconut and vanilla add the sweetness I also look for. The heliotrope I find comes through for me on the dry down with some powdery hints. I am a fan of layering and this is one of my go to's as vanilla, coconut, and almond are some of my favorite notes in general. It lasts pretty well on me, i'd say on average about 6 hours before I notice it start to disappear. Overall on my skin it's a clean, sweet, nutty scent that's simple and comforting, but not overwhelming in any way. A current favorite of mine for the warmer months.

AbsoLUTE PERFECTION from start to finish. I haven't smelt anything this good in years. The almond note isn't screechy (I usually avoid anything with almond, as it reminds me of public bathroom soap), but soft and comforting. This smells like creamy thick lotion and reminds me of a hug. I have so so many bottles in my collection and this is easily top 5. I think could be worn all year round, every day any occassion. Edit to add: I tried the lotion of the same scent, and it was a big no. The almond is yucky and theres almost a hot urine smell in the background? Still in love with the perfume but will be returning the lotion

Ok so this scent is gorgeous, it’s a strong scent with a light airy feel like a hot day without the humidity and the perfect breeze. It’s smells like a bounty filling with almond extract like marzipan and coconut ice cream, sweet but nutty sweet. If you’re looking for something like this but the price is not in budget try 💛 Monotheme monoi 💛it’s almost them same but with a more tropical feel than a confectionery feel but still has the gourmand.

It is a gorgeous masterpiece to me. I’m very fond of LM perfumes in general, and have used Vanille for probably 10 years. This one did not dissapoint; I’m not always a fan of coconut but when it’s done well it’s great, and I LOVE almond! It smells very soft and pretty, almost like a newborn baby. I was pleasantly surprised that it lasted quite a while on me, probably 6+ hours.

I was searching in Space NK for a perfume and saw a few girls asking about this perfume. I went over and smelt it and fell in love with that laconic scent. I love powdery, creamy perfumes, so this was perfect for me. I get that lovely milky Almond scent which is quite warm and creamy with a hint of coconut.

This is beautiful just like the eau de toilette which is what I own. I believe this does have more strength as it should do, and if you’re looking for this to last then go with this one. The body cream makes this last anyway, and I got fatigue due to the body cream even though I still love this...

Always liked this, sorry to hear it's been discontinued, as I think all of them have. It's a powdery grown up gourmand that doesn't smell like melted candy in a first grader's pocket.

I found the EDT of this at TJ Maxx for $20. I'm realizing my skin doesn't play well with almond. Its almost too strong and nutty. Luckily on clothes it smells nicer. The coconut/lactonic scent I pick up comes and goes; which I rather the harsh almond would settle. It does have a bit of sweet citrus at first as well. Over all its just an okay scent that will probably only be a clothes/body spray rather than on my skin. Going to see what other scents in my collection will pair well to layer. 🫶🏼

She's delicate and delicious and so well blended - wearing her is a pure joy. But she is shy, soft around the edges and not one to draw a crowd. I love to wear this one to bed, while dozing off to sugar plum fairies or whatever the equivalent is at this stage in my life. It reminds me just a bit of those almond cookies you get at old school Chinese restaurants. This is an easy blind buy if you love the notes - they are all here - ready to create a scent bubble just for you.

Gosh. I blind bought at Marshall's for $25 based on the "recommended" perfumes being ones that I know and love! I would say it has a bit of buttery nuttiness like SDJ, but a pure coconut sunscreeny thing going on atop that. The buttery quality also kind of reminds me of jousset accident a la vanille. It's a strong like, and will accompany me on summer adventures for sure!

This smells like wearing high end sunscreen to the pool and eating a fresh almond croissant over the water’s edge. Not a purely gourmand scent, at least not in the EDT version. There’s some chlorine and vinyl in here, like Vacation EDP. This is an olfactory experience, rather than a linear gourmand.

I’m not sure what it is about this scent, but it has a creamy coconut ice cream smell to it and I love it. I don’t always like almond scents as they can come off playdoughy to my nose, but this one is done right. Very sweet, creamy and somehow cold.

Rich, nutty, sweet scent. Actually it smells 99% same as VS coconut passion and only difference is that this one has some lactonic touch(which i don't like - reminds me of greasy hair of a dork i knew in my 3rd grade elementary school class lol) But overall scent is nice, Gives off cozy and sweet vibes. Would be perfect for chilly weather, especially during the winter holidays.

A simple, subtle cosmetic scent. From the very first second, it reminds me of The Body Shop Coconut Body Mist, the one in the transparent glass bottle. The mist is cheaper and has surprisingly decent longevity for this type of product. This perfume is a hard pass.

I’ve been on the hunt for the EDT at TJMaxx, but then was able to purchase the EDP for a good discount from the LM site. Lo and behold, I found the EDT too. So comparing the two, I actually prefer the EDT much more since it’s a little more tropical smelling, almost like a pineapple scent I smell in it. This one, the EDP, is heavier with the almond note, giving it that weird playdoh scent. Coupled with the sunscreen smell, it was too much for me. Luckily it doesn’t project much. I need to stick my nose into my arm to be able to smell it, even after about two sprays. I’ll be sticking with the EDT instead and will add my positive review under that specific fragrance.

I was disappointed, the bottle made me think that it would be an airy, coccoony and light scent, but it's like a heavy bad version of Hypnotic Poison...very heavy on me, not sweet but oily, heavy. Dries down to an unspecifically nutty sweet base that's slightly creamy but not that appealing. A big pass for me. If you like Hypnotic Poison...just get Hypnotic Poison, this doesn't smell half that sophisticated and interesting either. It's a real pass for me.

I was looking for a lactonic fragrance that doesn’t smell like a milkshake, and this is definitely it. Sadly, almond milk in it makes me sick. It is nice though when I layer it with Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue Pulse. Feels like I’m in a cafe, with a cup of sweet coffee and an almond pastry, a cozy and Christmassy vibe.

I have this one & the Ambre Vanille. The Ambre Vanille is stronger & is similar to Yara. I just picked up the Almond Coconut & it is extremely subtle. I just picked it up at tjmaxx & its just not potent eneough (at all) for my liking. The smell is milky almond very slightly powdery Coconut & its a shame that its so faint. I guess the good thing is that you could get away with wearing it in environments where (noticeable) fragrance isn't particularly appropriate to wear. Join me on YouTube, Fragrance Memoir

Coconut, almond, vanilla, heliotrope and musk--it doesn't come much more snuggly than this. One of the best examples of a gentle, warm, cozy and fluffy gourmand I've tried. It's effortlessly pleasant and appealing and round, with no sharp edges, just like the bottle. The new Laura Mercier bottles, as a side note, are so pretty--sort of minimalistic with an invitingly clean aesthetic and feeling of innocence. This aesthetic suites the scent itself quite well.

Lovely straightforward almond coconut vanilla, without the white florals that usually get in the way of similar scents. I think of this as a comforting, clean, 'your skin but better,' versatile scent - a scent that would make a little kid want to curl up in your lap, but you could also wear to work, and could also be intimate and sensual enough for a date night. Also great for layering.

I neeed this perfume, have only sampled it on my skin once before. Powdery bright coconut. It’s smells fresh and clean but luxurious in a way. I absolutely adore this scent, I’d wear it all summer long if I had it.

On my skin this smelled like a vanilla candle, complete with that waxy synthetic vibe. I like the Vanilla Ambre so much and the Vanilla also smells nice, but I opted for the Jo Malone Beach Blossom over this.

Definitely squarely in the gourmand territory. Like other reviewers I do struggle with how foody or greasy this feels on skin but at least it is a cozy and delicious scent, so yes I own 2 bottles.
