L'Heure Magique

Lovely amber, florals and spice. Beautiful. Has a little tang, and a beautiful delicacy that I find very attractive. I feel very attractive when I wear it! It's very feminine and pretty. And it has a gorgeous soft caressing musky dry-down, blended beautifully with the amber and sandalwood. I do love it a lot. It lasts well, and has a very nicely intimate sillage. The bottle and the colour of the perfume are absolutely lovely! Very soft and smooth and beguiling. I just love Laura Mercier's perfumes - they're so good!!!

I really love this. The color of the liquid-beautiful amber- was what appealed to me in that gorgeous glass bottle. The orangey floral warmth in this scent is just so unique. It smells like my first dates as a teenager. Reason being, it reminds me of a perfume I used to wear called "Bonne Bell Bottled Emotion: Romantic". This takes me back to those first dates and feeling so grown up and feminine. It goes on so light and sheer like a second skin,I will have to see about longevity.

This is magically delicious. The pun was very much intended. It settles softly into the skin at the drydown. The amber and spice aren't harsh in any way. Both are softly blended with whatever floral I think I smell (it doesn't smell like rose, as the note listing above states). Truly enchanting. I hope it lasts a good while.

This lovley EdP is a perfect winter perfume. It is warm, spicy and flowery without beeing too sweet or sharp. The final notes adds sensuality with musk, amber and silky powdery sandalwood. As the base is dominant on my skin I mostly wear it in the evenings/nights. It's a very mysterious and sexy scent IMO. I adore it!

This was my signature fragrance for daytime. I never got tired of it and always ALWAYS got compliments on it. It's been discontinued for a while and I have yet to find anything as good. I will keep searching but would love to hear if anyone has smelled anything similar.

Undescribable complexe concoction that will satisfy anyone, although it is unique. Nor floral or spicy heaviness, not too sweet not too sour. Just perfect, chic and extremely versatile, it leaves a great trail behind you without suffocating everyone around you, Try it!

This is a very beautiful, enticing fragrance. Men seem to love this scent, which is good for you when you wear it :) I really enjoyed this scent, the rose/musk/amber/bergamot really gives is a well blended scent that is smooth, not overpowering. Soft and sexy.

This fragrance is sensitive to ageing in the straw. So if you find it not as appealing as you used too, or if it's new to you and you find it imbalanced with a strange sour topnote a good spraying 10-15 times will fix the problem.

This is a people pleaser! Very comforting scent. The drydown reminds me of Eau Claire des Merveilles from Hermès.

I really like this one. The first time I wore it, it reminded me so much of something else. It didn't take long to think of it--Avon's Night Magic Evening Musk! When I was a little girl, my mother sold Avon. I was sooo in love with that musk. I remember always thinking it smelled like cookies. It's probably the first musk I had ever encountered and spurred my love of musky fragrances. Even the names of these two perfumes are similar. Bear in mind that I have not had any experience of Night Magic Evening Musk since I last smelled it about 30 years ago. L'Heure Magique is very aromachemical-y. It's got synthetic musk, synthetic amber and probably a synthetic woody note or two, along with synthetic spices. I bet there isn't much that is natural in here. It's not gourmand at all though. I doesn't make me think of cookies, which is why it took just a bit of time to figure out what it reminded me of. It's also heavier on amber than the Avon. The overall picture is a rather elegant powdery, musky, amber fragrance with a dusting of baking spices, and it does possess a classic quality. I find it very feminine, serious with a little whimsy, and an easy reach for just about any occasion. Would make a great signature. My bottle is brand new (2020) and it lasts the entire day with sillage that people will notice.

A lovely fragrance - an elegant, ladylike floral, warmly complex with musk and spices. But to that I have to add, for some unknown reason, on me it takes forever to get there; maybe an hour before it settles, and throughout that time it troubles my nose that the scent remains too raw to enjoy it. Oh, the mysteries of chemistry! Is it worth waiting an hour for a fragrance to develop to the point where you love it? I'm tending towards thinking it's wasting too much of my life waiting for the olfactory satisfaction I crave. I think I may have to sadly give up on this pretty frag.

This scent is nostalgic ... it is like stepping into an old photograph soft, powdery, and touched with a vintage charm. It has that timeless, elegant feel of a classic dressing room: bergamot opening gently, followed by floral touches of jasmine, rose, and geranium that feel nostalgic rather than modern. The dry down of musk, amber, and sandalwood adds warmth and softness, like a cozy cashmere wrap. I really like this. I get lots of amber and spice with a floral base. It makes a good warm,spring scent for cooler days. I find it demure,yet with good sillage and longevity. It lasts about 5-6 hours on my skin.

I truly, truly do not understand how I'm smelling what I'm smelling from this scent after reading the glowing reviews here. I should like this perfume. I should LOVE it. The notes are all right up my alley, and everyone's descriptions sound precisely like how I want to smell. But to my nose? This is the smell of... old, possibly expired, generic drugstore body lotion. Along the lines of Aveeno or Curel or something. Jergens, maybe? I'm flummoxed. I've tried this a couple of times now, but the only thing I can smell is uncomfortable, toilet papery, dermatologic cream over top of a dusty, sour perfume. I'm so sad this didn't work out for my nose or on my skin, but it's going back to Nordstrom. :/

It had a romantic feel. It opens with more floral. Then you get some of the spicy notes mixing in, Then in the end you get more of the cashmere and sandalwood. Dry down is lovely with still a floral overall feel to it. One of my favorites! The notes in this flow smoothly. It has very great longevity 8 hrs on me and moderate silage. Lovely smooth feminine fragrance. Something you could wear all the time. 9 out of 10 over all

Beautiful, powdery scent. It resembles quite closely Calypso by Piguet, but this one is warmer and sweeter. Distinctly I sense the geraniums, roses, amber and lots of powder. Simply lovely, sensual, comforting. Ladylike and kind. I don't find it spicy at all. Silage and lasting power are both average, if not on the softer side. Very pretty indeed, cuddly, feminine, graceful.

Was given as a gift and I was shocked when realised this brand creating such a masterpiece..it deserves to be concidered a Classic with other big hits from previous eras. If you used to call those an Old Lady smel, then stay away from this one I'm telling you. It is for well-trained noses that accustomed to vintage formulas too.

This is a sheer oriental lit by floral, woodsy and musky qualities. I absolutely love this scent - on my pillow! Wish it worked on my skin. It's a sexy gem that did not want to share her mysteries with me. So she's moving out today and hopefully "the Magic Hour" will appear on her new owner. Farewell my love!

This perfume is very feminine and sexy scent because the rose and musk! Every time when I wear this perfume I receive many compliment even from de women . It is very womanly scent ... I love L'heure Magique of Laura Mercier!
