Tonka

I've been testing it three or four times, over a few weeks. It's balsamic and all the notes are there: "Top notes are Almond, Cardamom and Sweet Orange; middle notes are Indonesian Patchouli Leaf and Rose; base notes are Peru Balsam, Tonka, Benzoin and Vanilla." What cannot be described is the utterly ELEGANCE and harmony of the notes... it can be slightly sharp in the opening, but I smell something like soft liquorice, it dissolves quickly into the patchouli and turns slightly flowery. There are no flowers but the combination of Peru Balsam, Tonka and Benzoin with Vanilla creates these smooth effect. It is office safe if you spray only once. On my boyfriend it smells even better than on me. I would wear it all the year through, as I see more as a "mood statement" rather than a "seasonal" trend. Edit: I recently sampled Hedonik's Divine Perversion and they share the same vibes. It stays on your clothes for days!

Never smelled anything like this! Yet it reminds me of something - or someone.. unique yet classic scent, spicy, a little powdery. It has a vibe as if it was a patchouli forward fragrance made in the 70’s - but you can’t smell the patchouli. It’s a modern interpretation, balsamic almost like incense blended with rose and citrus. Then theres a moment of burnt sugar, and in the late drydown there’s a minty note. It’s sweet and powdery. 30+ mature, unisex vibe. Perfect for winther, could work for summer evenings too.

The opening of this fragrance is extra spicy it smells exactly like gingerbread, not really sweet but overloaded with spices. As it evolves, a rose scent uncovers underneath them. In the drydown, those spices get quieter to finally underline the grainy texture of a very pleasant vanillic tonka. It's powerful without being overwhelming, my favorite part of this fragrance is definitely the drydown.
