Like the light-headedness when you are falling in love. Very unusual and romantic fragrance. It seems to be woody and cozy and in the same time with delicate touch of flowering violets. However some wildness is present ... probably as an effects of styrax, myrrh and lavender combined to give the fragrance animalistic face. Few minutes after application I had impression that I know it from the past however I couldn't find what was so similar. Then my boyfriend, who didn't know that I bought 222, ask me why I'm wearing Jungle by Kenzo as it is his :-) fragrance. He was really right, 222 after few minutes after application behave on my skin as Jungle and lasts in this phase for 1-2 hours. After this wonderful stage of 222both tonka and vanilla emerges. These sweet ingredients are used to complete fragrance and even both stay very close to the skin still give us delicious feeling that lasts, lasts and lasts for many hours. In my opinion 222 can work wonderfully all over the year even during very hot days (however when temperature is high it lasts for much shorter time and disappears after 1-2 hours- at least from my body).

Sandal, sandal and then some sandal.

رایحه آغازین حس جالبی داره ، انگار در حال جویدن آدامس فلفلی! هستیم ، فلفل سیاه بسیار غلیظ و تند در کنار زیره ، انیمالیک و بالزامیک‌ همراه یک عالم اینسنس ، فضای بسیار اسموکی و اندکی صابونی ، حضور کندر رو هم در میان نوت ها حس می کنم ، 222 به آهستگی هویت چوبی صمغی خودشو پیدا می کنه و تصویر مبهم و مه گرفته ای از کاج و چوب سرو به نمایش می گذاره، بر اساس نوت های اعلام شده اصلا انتظار چنین رایحه اسپایسی و صمغی رو نداشتم ، شخصا نمی تونم طرفدار عطری بخوری با این حجم ادویه تند و تلخ باشم مگه اینکه تغییرات بیشتری در ادامه اتفاق بیفته ، مر چهره ای کاملا صابونی و مقداری شیرین داره و تا اینجای کار احساس خیلی خوشایندی در موردش ندارم ، به طور کلی عطر خشنی هست و شاید فقط مناسب طرفدارای این سبک روایح اینسنسی اسپایسی باشه ، صندل وود هم نمی تونه به دادم برسه چون اینطور که اینجا بولد شده در رایحه ابتدایی و میانی حضوری چشمگیر نداره ، رگه هایی از اوکموس در لایه ی زیرین عطر نقش می بنده و من رو امیدوار می کنه تا چرمی کلاسیک رو انتظار بکشم ، در این مرحله 222 بسیار موفق عمل می کنه و به این اقناع می رسم که با عطر بسیار پیچیده ای طرف هستم ، چرم اسموکی و صابونی و تلخ و بر خلاف انتظارم مدرن چون ققنوس از دل آتش متولد می شه ، انگار 222 تمام اون مقدمه چینی رو تنها برای خلق این رایحه کرد ، در این لحظه مهارت روژا داو در طراحی عطرای چرمی برام تداعی می شه و بازی که با تعداد بیشمار نوت می کنه تا از دل اونها یک چرم افسانه ای بی آفرینه ، نمونه های بسپوک روژا که بعضا از ده ها نوت طراحی شدن گواه چیره دستی و هنرمندی این عطاره ، مطمئنا چرم اینجا به اون بلوغ حتی نزدیک نمی شه و تبدیل به آتشی در زیر خاکستر می شه گرانیوم کمی اتمسفر تلخ و تاریک عطر رو تلطیف می کنه ولی نه به اندازه ای که برای من رهایی بخش باشه هنوز! عطر بلوغی که در چرم پیدا نکرد در درای داون پیدا می کنه ، سرانجامی دوست داشتنی ، فضایی همچنان چوبی ادویه ای ولی بسیار با ملایمت و نوازشگر ، صندل وود آغشته به وانیل ، گلی تر و پودری و بسیار شیک هست و اگرچه کمی سنتتیک اما بوییدنش لذت بخشه و مدتی طولانی به همین شکل ادامه پیدا می کنه تا من نفس راحتی بکشم ، از سایر کارهایی که از برند لو گالیون تست کردم خاص تر و پیچیده تره و برای طرفداران این سبک روایح می تونه شگفت آفرین باشه ، پخش و ماندگاری خوب و‌ قابل قبوله ، کاملا مناسب هوای سرد و ایده آل برای روزهای سرد بارونی ، با توجه به سلیقه شخصیم امتیاز بالایی بهش نمی دم‌ ولی همونطور که گفتم ارزش تست رو کاملا داره.

In the opening I get Pourpre d’Automne by Maison Violet. Then it dries down to Bois d'Iris by Van Cleef & Arpels. I'm not sure how to feel about Le Galion, the new bottles are STUNNING and I love the history, but the few fragrances that I've tried leave a lot to be desired. I have 222, Tubereuse, and Sovereign, all blind buys. The longevity isn't great and the sillage is very weak. Their offerings sound good on paper, but in reality they aren't something I'd pick out for myself if I was able to smell it first. I also feel the house lacks any DNA in it's current iteration, there's nothing that connects the few perfumes I have to each other. They're kind of unremarkable, unrelated, and could've come from any perfume house. Compare that with something like Serge Lutens, where there's always that dark characteristic, an unmistakable signature, a DNA that runs through the whole line of fragrances. That being said, I don't hate it! 222 and Sovereign are growing on me a lot (except for Tubereuse, she was a STUNNER from the first spray). Maybe my tastes are changing, or maybe I'm just accepting the fact that I have to live with these blind purchases because the bottles are too damn gorgeous to return. So what is the Le Galion DNA? I'm still trying to find out... I'm still keeping this house on my radar as I tentatively anticipate future releases.

the resurrection of this french brand is the best news of the year. All their perfumes are really beautiful creations, delightfully classic. They compete with Guerlain quality or older formulations of Dior before the current disaster. 222 is an absolutely divine smoky oak but it is almost normal compared to average quality of the whole line. It could be called The Masculinité Du Bois, the perfect lover for the Lutens classic. C'est juste parfait!

Tender balmy and woody fragrance. After fresh slightly floral opening comes the balmy composition. The interaction of the resins with a very temperate leather note is well done and gives the impression of a round well-structured scent in the base. Too bad it remained very close to my skin!

goes on smokey, almost light oudy then in the middle the vanilla and tonka come through then in the bottom there is a hint of floral and light wood; this is a skin scent that does not last long, more like a cologne

Rustic. Brown. An old, brown leather armchair that has been sat in for generations. A waft of lavender and violet through the window.

On me, this opens with an intense sweet ceder followed quickly by vanilla. I am not normally a fan of ceder, but this is light and fresh. No tired old pencils here! The sweet vanilla and light florals cut through the harshness of the ceder and make it light and lovely. Le Galion perfumes are so well blended that they seem to happen all at once. I can hardly get my notes down quickly enough. This fragrance reminds me of soft florals in a very old library reading room, where the sunlight is warming old and dusty pages of valuable tomes that are leather bound. It makes me think of late August when the sun is warm and round, but there is a vague hint of cooler weather on the way. Living in the UK provides the coolness, especially when we don't want any. Once again, Le Galion have another masterpiece. I cannot get my nose off my arm because I want to soak up the fragrance into my whole being. Silage of this is good on me, but not intrusive to others. It is soft and gentle, rounded and perfect.

I like Le Galion more and more. This composition is yet another very classy offering. It could be unisex, but the myrrh, the leather and the woody notes make it more masculine on me. However, while I don’t get much of the vanilla, the flowery notes are not far away. I can see comparisons with Tam Dao. I have a distant memory of it as I used to wear it about 10 years ago. I might be mistaken but 222 seems darker and deeper to me. Nearly smoky. It smells like an expensive shoe shop. It’s full bottle worthy.

عطری با ماهیتی ارینتال . پودری . اسپایسی بسیار زیبا و ملایم . خیلی شیک اما قدیمی . انگار ی شیشه عطر چرمی رو بعد از ۳۰ سال از تو ی کمد آوردی بیرون و مصرف می‌کنی . بنظرم اون بعد کلاسیکش رو لاوندر میده بهش ولی در کل بشدت رایحه متین و مردونه ای داره حس چرمی شیک و دوز زیاد رزین و اکوردی چوبی در انتها کلییات بسیار شیکی رو رقم زده از نظر شباهت به درایز ون نوتن فردریک مال خیلی شبیه ولی خیلی ملایم تره این .

It is a dry dusty sandalwood. I am surprises nobody compared it to Le Labo Santal 33. It is very similar. Beside dandalwood, there is a clean leather note together with violet. Put sandalwood into Ganymede and you’ll get 222.

Very nice perfume which stays close to the skin. From the flacon it smells exactly like Serge Lutens Jeux de Peau but after an hour on skin it smells like Hypnotic Poison by Dior :-) low projection but good longevity.

@Skinny Legends, I know them well, tell me what you like and I may help you ! The collection is indeed beautiful, but 30 fragrances is a lot, so not easy to find your way around

More for a man than a woman. Still really nice, and this is coming from someone who prefers feminine and floral and stays away from oriental.
