Essence Noble

Fabulous!!! What a fantastic, classic smelling perfume. Aromatic, citrus opening with a lightly smoky, dry cedar and moss at it's heart. Lovely on paper but even better on skin. I think without being a pointless copy, because it isn't that...I'd say if you like stuff like Dior Eau Sauvage you'll be in safe hands with this. Very much more base, woody, mossy and less diffusive floral mids and a touch more herbal, this smells more full and 'niche' whatever that means? Well I know what it means and I think you do too. Little in the way of invention here but it's a classic three chord banger, jazzed up a bit for a boutique brand, what's not to love? Great perfume really enjoying wearing it today and lasts and projects pretty well for a fragrance of this nature.

An elegant, classy affair. It opens fresh, with citrusy brightness a la Eau de Verte, before it gradually transitions into a velvety, discreet old fashioned composition. Eventually the scent evolves, into a leather, oakmoss, and styrax dominant amalgamation, ultimately landing in the same chypre territory as Bel Ami. A wonderful blend, that's both light and airy, never becoming too heavy or dark. It wears like a parfum but maintains an airy fresh identity that I enjoy a whole lot. A pity its been discontinued. My bottle is from the modern rectangular editions (not the one pictured here) and was supposedly a re-release of the original Eau Noble.

For lovers of classic fresh citrus chypres: here's a real treat! Flavoured with aromatic sage, styrax and leathery notes, and offered in perfume concentration, this essence becomes the epitome of noblesse - together with its little sibling 'Eau Noble'. Not beholden to any fashion - pure timelessness!

@Alanwake indeed, the current "Essence Noble" in the rectangular bottle is the original "Eau Noble" from 1972. While "Essence Noble" in round bottles (as featured on this page) was created around 2015 and doesn't exist anymore.

This version is no longer available. The current Essence Noble is the original Eau Noble (1972). While the name Eau Noble now refers to Rodrigo Flores Roux's modern interpretation of the perfume (2022)
