Another 13

I'm gobsmacked. I kind of heard from here or there that this scent is considered something hyper-hyper but that didn't make me to have much interest in it because I already have so many scents and many times more samples waiting to be tested, why this one then? But I got Santal 33 sample somewhere and I was immediately sold. So I decided I had to get a bottle of that. But the prices! Then I found something called Travel Tube Set which had small bottles of Santal 33, Another 13 and Thé Noir 29. Still very expensive but there you go. (By the way, I've found that almost everything in the aftermarket sites where Le Labo scents are sold with good prices, even as new packages, are fake and some people sell LV or LL or Amouage because they don't smell right -- but actually, they've been fooled by somebody else and many of these people don't even know because they don't check/search and then leave negative reviews and try to sell them even cheaper.) And then I tried Another 13 first time. It was sorcery. It reminded me the smell I once smelt in an office when passing a room that had a door opened and the smell that came from the room was like a mixture of mild leather, papers and something more that I'm not able to describe but that fit just perfectly well into the office environment. It felt like perfection, the utmost stylish, modest, unintrusive, unobtrusive smell, just the finest mixture of the natural smells of things present in office. But usually they never get that strong and I felt it only when passing that room so there must've been something more. Maybe it was Another 13. Or I'm just hallucinating. So now, both on my shirt and hand, I can't really smell it, maybe the first hour or two, but that little I can smells like a faint perfection out of all scents I've ever tried. I have to get a full bottle of this. It turned out that this is even more important than Santal 33 which is also incredibly good but also very strong. These two are a bit similar as if there's some sandalwood in A13. I didn't recognise any of the listed notes, especially not the fruits but I do have experienced many very good scents having fruits or some citruses as their top or main notes. One of my favourites Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline has a very prominent and amazing sweet Nashi pear note but there's none of that here, no jasmine either. I'd like to describe this scent as a "metascent": it's different than anything else I've tried, it's subtle and works on some other level than scents usually do, kind of stays in the background. I don't know yet what others will smell if I have it on. We'll see. But I don't really care about others though, I want to smell it on myself. The only slightly negative thing about Le Labo scents are the nozzles of the bottles: their stream is too narrow, spread around too little so I have to spray from a very calculated distance quite far away: I don't want to get soaked in one place and no scent in another. It needs some practice. The mixed reaction to this scent is probably related to either fakes being used but if not then it must be genetic difference just like it is with Santal 33: some smell dill pickles, others smell amazing sandalwood (like me). Then again, I've had a neroli scent that smelt like dill pickles and I loathed it. I've heard a similar thing about the taste of coriander leaves: different people perceive these very differently (they're amazing for me). It is good when people write these experiences down here so there will be probably less unsuccessful blind buys. And after all, negative reviews, if they're written based on true experience, should not be downvoted, they've been very useful to me. Edit: I finally realised the pear note in it. It's that subtle sweetness that hovers around and is the source of "your skin but better" effect as I read somewhere.

This is probably the best musk / skin scent i've smelt (and best performing) as well!! I've smelled Initio Musk Therapy, JHAG Not A Perfume + Superdose, Glossier you, Dedcool Milk + Xtra Milk, By Rosie Jane Rosie, Phlur Missing Person, etc. This tops them all! This has the overall best scent, layers SO SO SO well with other perfumes, and lovely performance! To my nose it's starts off with clean citrus and just gets so musky and on my skin it's like a sparkling clean scent. I feel like it's addicting aspect is definitely the oak moss note it shows up really well on my skin it's like a sweet musky cloud around me when I wear this! My WHOLE family is in unanimously love with this, so I know this is good stuff! When I first smelt this I was't impressed but as it enveloped on my skin and was the best thing I've ever smelt (sorry to sound cliche). It lasts so long on skin and especially on clothes, I sprayed 'Another 13' on the shoulders of my shirt in the morning yesterday and 24hrs later (today) I STILL SMELL IT. A little goes a very long way and this is saying a lot as a constant over sprayer! Now to get into comparison's: This is very similar to JHAG Superdose but much more airy and with the addition of pear and citrus. If you like AND can smell the skin scents listed earlier this is definitely worth getting your nose on! Also if you like the sweetness of Baccarat Rouge 540 you'll LOVE this! It has that same addicting oak moss note, imagine BR540 as a skin scent and this is what you get!! It's my favorite clean musky scent with JHAG Not A Perfume behind it! For the retail price I think it's absolutely worth it, you can refill the bottle which is so amazing for my wallet and it helps prevent waste! This will be the first and only perfume I will happily buy retail price for!! Once I finish some of the 'meh' perfumes in my collection this will be one of the perfumes I purchase first !!! Anyway's that's all I love 'Another 13' If could only own 3 Perfumes this would be my number 1 hands down! Those who are anosmic to it, I feel bad because they just won't understand how good this juice is!

I bought a sampler of some Le Labo perfumes a couple of years ago initially for the Santal 33 sample, I didn’t like it very much, it smelt like pickles and had a very chemically leather smell that I wasn’t fond of. On a random day before going out to the movies I decided to try the another 13 sample, as I hadn’t used it yet, it didn’t really smell like much, I was quite underwhelmed, and kind of labeled it as a dud, but then when I was out, my friend complimented the perfume, and so did a worker from across a counter. It was so weird,I had never received any kind of response from wearing a perfume before. I wore it more, still couldn’t really smell it on myself (it just kind of smelt like magazine gloss and coconut cream) but the more I wore it the more compliments I got. I started to pair it with ‘Diptyque - Eau Des Sens’ as I couldn’t really smell it, but I received non stop compliments from co-workers, people walking past me on a night out, and I even had a bizarre encounter with an employee of a tea shop who explained that he and his co-workers smelt the scent as I walked into the shop and the smell had filled up the room and they desperately wanted to know what the scent was (which is crazy cause I typically only spray it 2-3 times on myself, along with the diptyque getting a sprits or two). The only time I can smell it is on my clothes and jackets after wearing them, but I wish I could smell what they smell, because the fanfare is ridiculous whenever I wear it. It’s my signature scent, everyone knows when I’m near cause they smell my perfume first. Every 6 months I buy a new bottle and it has never let me down. I desperately love this perfume with all my heart. I will never use another perfume for as long as I live. bury me with it.

So I heard about the hype of this perfume and went to Le Labo stand in Flannels to smell it. I sprayed it on paper as I was wearing a strong scent on my skin (Aldebaran, iykyk). When I smelled the paper, I thought it must be a joke as I did not smell ANYTHING. Like not even alcohol from perfume that you sometimes smell. Like NOTHING. I was actually glad, as I thought that I will save me some money. When I got home, I was removing clothes from the shopping bag and I was a bit confused as they smelled SO good, and I knew that it deff wasn't any scent that I own. I even thought that maybe someone had tried on the clothes before me and left their perfume on them, which was a gross thought. 😅 and THEN I realized... i dropped the paper that I sprayed the Another 13 on in the bag! I was like a crazed animal! I could not get enough of it! I was just sniffing the paper for about 5 minutes, and then I went online and bought a 100ml bottle. When it came, I sprayed it on me, and again, I thought that I must be noseblind as I could not smell anything! Long story short, only in about 4 days that original scent that I went crazy for, on that piece of paper, came back to me and now I feel like am wrapped in this amazingly soft, almost like kitten fur smelling blanket. It is just heavenly. It smells like clean, fresh skin but better. Almost floral but a bit musky, and I do notice notes of moss. It is earthy and sweet and intimate. I am in love! This is my first this type of perfume as I usually go for something bold (crystal saffron, ganymede, aldebaran, stellar times, dirty heaven etc) but thiiiis, it is something else. It makes me feel like a secret, it is hard to explain. Just lovely! Recommend!

After owning 100s of fragrances and smelling 1000s this is one of my fav fragrances of all time second only to OG Acqua di Gio and tied with a couple others. This fragrance is so simple, classy and sophisticated. It's inoffensive and you can get away with over spraying. You will think this has faded but trust everyone around you is still smelling it, it's very easy to go anosmic with this one. So easy to wear, boosts and uplifts your mood, sometimes I spray this just to be in the house or to wear to bed. I've received tons of compliments from this, I've watched men swallow their pride and ego to walk up to me, phones in hand asking me what I'm wearing ready to type in anything I say and the ladies love this! I hope this remains a hidden gem for as long as it can, it might be popular in the fragrance community but it's not that among the general public. I remember the first time I tried this I could not stop smelling my wrist for the entire day! Told myself I had to have it someday until I did. I try not to repurchase fragrances despite how much I love them which I think led to my discovery of so many other great fragrances but I think this will forever be in my collection, when it's finished I will go and get it refilled. Been nursing my bottle since 2023.

If your new bottle feels weak, give it time and air. The payoff is absolutely worth it! When I tested Another 13 on paper, it smelt great, but on my skin, it was just faint and had this synthetic scent before disappearing. But I liked it for the few minutes it lasted. I was torn between this and Thé Noir 29 but ultimately went with Another 13. I immediately regretted buying the full bottle because I couldn't smell a thing anymore no matter how many times I sprayed it, not even the opening. For a couple of weeks, I wore it daily, layering it with something else. I received two compliments but couldn't smell it myself and wasn't sure if people were just smelling the other fragrance. Then yesterday, I wore Another 13 on its own and everything clicked. For some reason, wearing a crisp white shirt fresh from the dry cleaners made me suddenly smell it on myself intensely. Incredible, intoxicating whiffs wafted around me all day. Calling it "powdery" or "skin but better" doesn't do it justice. It leaves this stunning trail on your clothes. It simply makes you smell like the ultimate version of a naturally clean, magnetic person.

Such a strange scent. In Nordstrom my wife and I were spraying it on paper and smelling nothing, not even alcohol, just paper. Some other folks came up and smelled the paper too with the same effect. The four of us sat there passing the test strip around talking about how we'd heard such great things and how we couldn't smell anything. On the way out I sprayed my arm with like 4 sprays and didn't think much more about it. Later, like 20 minutes later, I smelled my arm and got a sort of soft woody smell like "I don't know what", just a tingle of ISO E Super which usually smells a little like Sharpie to me. Then, about 15 minutes after that I sniffed again and I was blown away by this amazing strong musky, smoky smell. I got a sample and actually "wore" it outside of the context of a perfume department and it was such an interesting experience. It's a soft smell, but definitely there, smokey, marshmallowy, and musky. It was like a cloud that just followed me around all day. It didn't feel like I smelled like something, but just that there was a smell of something in the air.

Good-NESS this is addicting! The first time I wore this, I was sure it was too overpowering, too masculine, too everything... I had bought a travel size to test out and decided on the spot it was not my bag and already planned to give it to my son. THEN, I proceeded with my day and not 1, not 2, but 3 different people stopped me to ask what I was wearing. I didn't 'get it' back then. Now... I get it. This is strong but soft, powerful but pretty, cold and cool and altogether fabulous. If you asked me to list the notes, I would say it depends on the day. I get a different vibe every time I wear it. But it definitely holds that cold, musky, synthetic ambroxan thing for the duration. The ISO E Super is the cilantro of fragrance notes. I am glad I can smell it and I also understand why some people don't get the appeal. This was full bottle worthy for me, even and the exorbitant price point. I probably could've gone with the 1.7... a little goes a loooonnnnggg way. But I didn't want to take a chance of this being discontinued, so I went with the supersize. No regrets. Not a one.

This is just beautiful Really hard to put into words what this does to me and my olfactory, but it's always had me in a chokehold. There's nothing offensive about this. You can smell the pear in the opening, but as it dries down, you get HEAVY, yet ethereal musk with a touch of woods. It's as molecule fragrance as it can get. I put another 13 in the same vein as ganymede-- sterile, potent on opening, and gives you wafts in the air all day. You don't think this super musky fragrance projects, but i can promise you that it does. I've worn stronger fragrances than another 13, but for some reason, THIS is the one that grabs peoples attention. Going anosmic is a very common thing with fragrances like another 13. I certainly do, and always within the 1st hour. However, everyone else will smell you. No need to overspray this. I do 3 sprays (1 on clothes, 2 on skin), and that's it. That's all i need for whole day performance. The price of entry is very expensive, but i firmly believe that it is worth every penny.

This is one of the weirdest things that's happened to me as a perfume enthusiast. I sprayed it on my skin yesterday and - absolutely nothing. Not a hint of anything. I'm guessing I'm completely anosmic to the Iso E Super in this. Disappointed, I went on with my day. After a few hours, a noticed a weirdly artificial smell lingering around me - clean, warm and icy cold at the same time. I sniffed my arm and it was bloody Another 13 remembering its own existence, apparently, because now I could finally smell it. A robotic, hardly human, business airport lounge smell. I'll be sure to test this one out again and update my review, but so far - in love with the way this smells... almost a full day after spraying it. Edit : got a 30ml of this the day after writing this "review" because I hate financial stability but love smelling like a half-human android wrapped in a cozy blanket giving out free hugs. This time, I'm able to smell it as soon as I spray it - and it's divinely weird. Amazing !

I woke up this morning to the scent still on my wrists. Very long lasting. It’s soft, sophisticated, but subtle. The iso e super is well balanced because sometimes that note can make fragrances a challenge to enjoy. It isn’t headache inducing. The musk mallow adds a sweetness that balances out the iso e super. I like this better than other fragrances in the same category. This is slightly sweeter and rounded out than fragrances like JHAG Not a Perfume. Reminds me of a less sandalwoody Finery I’m a Musk. And a more subtle, little less warm, more musky 22 orris. This is a perfume that really needs to be sprayed on skin. (I know they all do, but this especially). I don’t even bother spraying it on my clothes. Also if I close my eyes and then if I close my nostrils, this smells just like BR540. I’m kidding. lol I don’t know how the reviewer below me got that it smells like BR540. The only resemblance I see are the iso e super and amber which are in a ton of fragrances.

I did not think I would love this one as much as I do, but it completely grew on me. At first it felt a little too subtle and I was not sure it was worth the hype, but the more I wore it the more I understood it. Now I reach for it all the time. I have the full bottle and wear it almost daily. It has become my signature scent, especially because it layers so effortlessly with almost anything. No matter what I pair it with, it just elevates the whole vibe and makes everything smell more put together. It is that perfect your skin but better kind of scent. Clean, musky, slightly fruity, and very unisex. Not overly sweet or loud, just smooth and addictive in the best way. I love it for everyday wear, whether I am at home, running errands, or even at the gym. It never turns harsh or overwhelming, just sits close to the skin and smells amazing. Highly recommend if you love versatile, effortless scents that you can truly make your own.

I can understand alot of stuff but one thing I will never understand is this whole „clean fresh comfy skin scents“ „Your Skin but better“ while refering to aggressive & Sharp scents Like These??in what way does Ur Skin even resemble rubber Gloves or sterile syringes? & Yes my god I get it everybody experiences smell differently & all this crap but im just wondering. But yeah This is a Hit,Im Anosmic to it and I can only ever enjoy it when I catch This sexy smell that projects everywhere when the Wind blows or my Body Starts warming up in the burning hot Temperature in Germany. Just like Not a perfume Supradose (which smells similar,but that one is woodier & more Offensive,but in a good way) it sticks to ur cloeths Like CRAZY. I got 15ml for 93€ which is fucking insane. Is it worth it? In this case its up to the Consumer and their taste.

I ordered a sample of this and Santal 33 for me and the wife to try. Santal 33 smells like you opened a new shoe box but another 13 was huge hit with me and the wife. Was scared we wouldnt be able to smell it like some people but we could smell it! Definitely need to get this one on skin to get the real experience as it molds to your skin chemistry. On me I get a lot of the pear and musk. I see it get called a skin scent but to me it's right at the sweet spot between skin scent and being strong. Longetivity is great, lasted a full work day on skin and will last even longer on clothes. We ended up getting a full bottle! Definitely recommend getting a decant or trying this out in store before buying as a lot of people apparently are unable to smell this. Put it on skin, leave it for an hour and watch the magic happen.

addictive clean skin musk and mossy jasmine with something dark and deep. i don’t know hot to explain it but there is something about it that makes it so sexy and addictive but kind of scary at the same time? it’s like that one mysterious hot girl that doesn’t talk much but you know there is something about her that scares you, but you like it. personally, i can’t smell it on my skin :( but my mom and friends helped me describe what they smell, and i was able to pick it up on my scarf! (thankfully) anyways, very musky, clean(not soapy!), i get some moss and jasmine and like a tiny bit of fruit, not sure if it leans more apple or more pear. a bit synthetic but in a good way. love love love

DISCLAIMER: we all have completely different scent profiles we enjoy, so never be discouraged if you like a scent but you read some bad reviews. Buy what you enjoy! REVIEW: Trust me, no one is lying to you when they talk about this being a huge compliment-getter. It’s the #1 fragrance I use when I am going out and don’t want to be specific / niche / avant-garde, I just want to smell good and be confident about it. Definitely a dumb reach. Oh, and don’t listen about the performance being bad, it’s not. You just go nose blind really quickly to this, but it’ll keep hitting you throughout the day - and definitely others. Not in an intrusive way, it’s always the right amount.

was a HATERR at first it smells like paper on my friend, I went to her house recently and sprayed her bottle on my wrist... she may have let her bottle maturate but it smelled SO good in a way i cant describe. Legit a sexy skin scent i enjoyed the fragrance so much I went 2 days later to buy the big bottle. Such an easy reach because its not an offensive offputting scent AT ALL one my good friends is actually quite sensitive to strong perfumes and I went to hug him (mind you this was HOURS after i sprayed myself) and even he was like "oh wow you DO smell really good". went from hater to absolute staple in my collection.

Opening is really syntetic but in a few minutes it turns into some sweet, floral, clean and slightly fruity smell. But in half an hour the sweetness and the floral tones fades to the right point and becomes more like a sunscreened clean skin. not very like sunscreen but it has slightly creamy atmosphere. Also reminiscent of a girl who just showered and wore a sweaty shirt. In a sexy and natural way. Most people say it is perfectly unisex but for me it is slightly feminine. Maybe just on me. But if i was a girl and my boyfriend smelled like this, i would definitlely like it and i would suck his neck.

Fantastic scent. Very hard to describe as IMO the scent changes depending on the day and temperature. Can smell like gloss finished printed paper with a hint of pear, sometimes it smells like jasmine, apple and musk, sometimes it’s a sweet musky pear, amber and pheromones, and sometimes it can smell sharp like chlorine and alcohol with hints of citrus. It leans sweet musky pear, amber and pheromones with my skin chemistry. Have been complimented on this scent a handful of times. I love when it radiates off my body during cooler days. Not so sure it performs well in hot/sweaty days.
