Bouquet Blanc

Le Labo BOUQUET BLANC is, as advertised, primarily a white flower composition. The jasmine and tuberose are equal partners in this bouquet, and while the cassis may contribute to smooth out the blend slightly, it is definitely not detectable as cassis to my nose. BOUQUET BLANC smells beautiful to me: not too sweet, not too sharp, not too dry. Just right! Simple and bright white (not indolic...), this perfume has good longevity and fairly big sillage. Anyone who has an issue with either jasmine or tuberose would not like this creation, but white flower lovers should definitely give this limited edition perfume a try. Those who for reasons which remain inscrutable to me believe that "women have no business smelling like flowers" need not apply!

I am not typically a fan of white florals, but I was swept off my feet by Bouquet Blanc. I usually can't tolerate jasmine in perfumes because it always smells so synthetic, but the jasmine here is as natural as one can hope to find. Bouquet Blanc is completely linear, which is not the norm for Le Labo. It is straight-up 50/50 jasmine & tuberose. The scent is quite exotic, rather lush; very gorgeous. It's a simple perfume in comparison to most of Le Labo's other creations and especially in comparison to the other members of their exclusive Anthropologie line, which are masterfully complex. I'm surprised it is marketed as unisex. I would caution men to stay away, unless wearing heavy white florals is "their thing".

I think this fragrance blooms on me in the cold weather. Trying this again after months of casting it aside, I no longer consider this a soapy headache bomb. And I've applied it heavily, too. For the first time I'm getting the cassis and vetiver and a hint of bergamot in the opening. The cassis is a very slight, dark sweetness under the tuberose that moves in and out, while I get a clean, cold vetiver mingling with the flowers. Jasmine is not so prominent, but there and the tuberose is the star. A fresh, bright tuberose just blooming. I find the scent smells better from afar, letting it waft up towards you, rather than when my face is close to it. It's nice, so nice I may remove it from my swap list.

This is a beautiful and refreshing white floral blend. Anyone that loves florals, will surely adore this fragrance. I applied Bouquet Blanc after my evening shower, and its freshness is very invigorating and pretty on my skin. Jasmine and tuberose are the most dominant notes in both the opening and the heart, however there are subtle hints of bergamot, orange blossom and black currant throughout. I think it could easily be unisex seeing that the white florals have a hint of sharpness, rather than feminine softness. The first hurdle is the opening with its fresh, Spring-like bouquet, which is perhaps the most feminine aspect, but once settled, Bouquet Blanc does become more complex, and in turn, more suitable for men. I like Bouquet Blanc's lack of innocence. Most white florals make me think of weddings, romance and tea parties, but this fragrance has a touch of aggressiveness. Even more impressive is the skill that has gone into smoothing out the composition, so that the sharpness is less noticeable and more complementary. After a few hours wear, Bouquet Blanc has an obvious damp and crisp green accord, which sends this fragrance's composition down a slightly different path. What follows is a soft blend of salty vetiver, creamy sandalwood and musk. The projection from beginning to end is quite strong, so Bouquet Blanc is best applied with a light hand. I have been curious as to what this fragrance smelt like for a few years, and I owe my thanks to my dear friend Sherapop for giving me the opportunity to test Bouquet Blanc. I have not been disappointed.

I used to have this one, purchased it many moons ago in Anthropologie in London. I’m a lover of white flowers but sometimes nervous of jasmine, this was beautifully blended. As others have said it seems to bloom when it has been on the skin a while, there’s a hint of sweetness but it’s never cloying. Sadly very hard to find this fragrance these days.

This is quite an old school floral fragrance, given a modern twist. The tuberose element is very reminiscent of Michael Kors. On me, the jasmine doesn't really shine through; it's completely bowled over by the tuberose.

Lasts long on the skin! Smells earthy.
