Neroli 36

as much as this reminds me of morning walks by manila bay with my mom in the early 00s, i can't help but reach back to it everyday. i would say this is almost similar to fleur d'oranger by le labo but fleur d'oranger is more reminiscent of a 90s highschool girl "angel's breath" colognes (my mom's words). this smell like a sweet, citrusy, FLORAL, clean and powdery thin layer of sunscreen on me and i love it. living in the tropics and having skin built against insane sunlight, i only ever needed a thin layer of sunscreen and im all good. this perfume smells exactly like that thin layer plus the heat of the sun and mild sweat. i intended to exclusively use this as an "after workout" perfume and it works perfectly on my skin. its fresh and compliments the natural scent of my sweat. this perfume is definitely intended to be worn in the heat or on very warm skin. i only have the sample rn but i will definitely get a 50ml bottle of this!! lastly, i don't see anyone in the comments saying how salty this perfume smells. it exactly what tropical fruits and flowers + the seaside breeze smell like. the sale associate who helped me understand this perfume also has a similar memory attachment to it (we were both from tropical countries) ps. a VERY similar and cheaper replica of this scent is beach walk by replica MM. however that one is more intense on the sunscreen part compared to the floral citrusy sweetness this one has. beach walk chokes me but this is more pleasant and oversprayable.

My first ever luxury fragrance purchase, and it continues to be my favorite Le Labo. It’s salty and aquatic from the calone, toasty and warm from the tonka, velvety and pristine from the white florals, and all these together wrap into a harmonious sunscreen accord; to me, one that does not say beach walk, but instead, salty hair after a day well-spent, kissing a lover in a hotel bedroom, the sheets dry and cool on sunbaked sand-coated skin tacky with SPF. Though tuberose is not listed, I feel it has a narcotic and sensual quality similar to tuberose perfumes that achieves a comparably lusty mood. When I had my old sample, I couldn’t get enough of it, so much so that it started my journey down luxury fragrance lane. I maintain that this was worth every penny and love wearing it with Glossier’s Neroli Perfecting Lotion when I want to exude put-together-but-playful clean girl energy. It undoubtedly is a summer scent and I think it’s often misread or misunderstood by people looking for a beach (or strictly neroli) fragrance. If you want to know what this smells like for real, vibes-wise, go look at 2000s Ralph Lauren ads.

What Margiela’s “Flying” wishes it was. This is what a 00’s Ralph Lauren Magazine ad smells like. Well, it’s been 4 days since I first posted this review now, and I finally just went for it!!! It’s on the way. I’m so excited. This fragrance has been on my mind heavily, and after trying to find a dupe that was both equally luxurious and true to form to no avail, I could no longer contain my wallet. It might feel a little silly to get this right before Fall and Winter begin, but I just imagine the sadness of the dark months melting away under the orangey sunshine of this squeaky-clean freshie and I KNOW I will be glad I have it as a pick-me-up. Don’t underestimate the role of the Calone and Tonka in this fragrance — they give it a character unlike any other white floral neroli perfume on the market. It’s simultaneous sweet warmth and salty wateriness is rivaled by none! The lack of herbal elements also sets it apart. I feel that its saccharine-soapy feel gives it the quality of bubbles blown straight from the wand — whimsical, airy, and wondrous!

I hadn’t worn Neroli 36 in awhile so I gave it a try yesterday morning. Others are correct in saying it’s not a typical neroli such as Neroli Portofino and the hundreds of others that smell just like it. Instead, this is like a day at the beach neroli to me. I pick up a distinct salt note that might be what others are describing as metal. This scent is fresh, fun, and ahead of its time considering the ocean salt note craze these days. It even garnered me a non-solicited compliment from one of my coworkers as she described how good and fresh I smelled. If there is a fragrance it reminds me of it would be Mancera’s Wave Musk, which I also love. I’d have to do a side by side comparison but they are in the same vain. Just like Wave Musk, Neroli 36 lasts all day. In fact, I woke up and did a quick workout this morning and the scent came right back with my body heat. Pretty impressive.

I finally picked up a bottle of this. This actually was my first Le Labo that I smelt couple of years ago... However got lost in between all the really loud personalities of Oud27, Santal 33, and Rose 31. To me this smells like a day at the beach. I actually don't find this to be 'refreshing' it's actually quite warm. It reminds me of warm skin under the sun that's been just scrubbed with soap. The scent that it reminds me of is "JLo Glow", that just fresh out of the shower scent... However by far more luxurious. The concentration on this is top notch like all Le Labos. So the longevity on this is quite intense and it has presence... I'd use it sparingly as it can get a bit cloying. It'd go well with a linen white shirt.

I like orange blossom scents but typical ones in the market are either very sweet with tuberose and almond or very citrusy with bitterness of orange. I like these scents but sometimes I just want to have a different one. Although it is called Neroli 36, it is a pure orange blossom scent with a hint of aldehyde and musk instead of a neroli scent. I prefer orange blossom to neroli though they may smell similar to some but there is no bitterness in the former and I hate the bitterness. It is so comforting on my skin. However, the sillage and longevity are weak. It is a skin scent and last for at most 4 hours. I am quite satisfied with the sample and wouldn't purchase a full bottle.

This is one of my favorite offerings from the house of Le Labo. It's one of the classiest soft, airy, crisp florals I know... up there with Guerlain's Muguet. This fragrance truly is a spring in a bottle. A fresh, dewy, green, lightly honeyed orange blossom cloud. Aldehydes make it feel extra crisp, sparkling and polished; jasmine and rose provide the much needed entourage, vanilla and tonka create a subtly sweet creamy warmth at the base. This composition is very delicate, feminine, and elegant. It doesn't need to scream for attention. It's tasteful, youthful and glowing -- it draws attention effortlessly.

I was gifted the Le Labo Discovery Set for my birthday and Neroli 36 was my favorite of the 17 scents included, so I chose to order it in the 50 mL bottle. Neroli 36 smells clean, fresh, and has almost a sunscreen vibe to it. I do not like floral forward fragrances and this did not come off floral heavy to me in any way. It is a great perfume to complement any of my other pineapple, coconut, or mango body mists for summertime. My husband has also worn it a few times as he enjoys this scent also. I get about 6 hours of longevity on skin, up to 24 hours on clothes.

First impression: Salty watermelons at a pool, and water balloons, kids swimming, and rose. This has a very ozonic smell, it reminds me of younger days when we went swimming on summer breaks. Very unusual for freshie territory actually, its quite left-field in my opinion. It has a lot of moving parts, after a few minutes i got a neroli coming in after the salted watermelons have been eaten. Actually this and Lavande 31 reminded me of those late 90s and early 2000s freshies, and i have a very soft spot for that time and style.

When I initially tried this fragrance I was disappointed because I was hoping for a true traditional neroli scent. That being said, it grew on me and now I adore it. It is aldehydic, a little powdery, musky and floral. It sort of smells like sunscreen on warm skin and white flowers. I find it both clean and intoxicating after an hour of wear. Definitely a day time warm weather scent. Lasts very long on skin and clothes as well. Certainly not a blind buy as I would imagine this would not smell great on everyone.

This has some resemblance to both MMM Beach Walk and Aqua Motu but believe me, this is WAY better than both of those. It also resembles Acqua di Parma Colonia DNA. Specifically, the Neroli in Essenza, and the creaminess of Colonia Pura. I own full bottles of all of the aforementioned fragrances, and this has the best qualities of all of them rolled into one. Excellent quality, good longevity and STRONG projection for the first few hours. Probably resembles Beach Walk the most. Like Beach Walk on steroids 8/10

I think this fragrance is splendid. It's not a linear neroli scent by any means; it's multifaceted. I mostly detected a blend of neroli, jasmine, tonka, and musk. It's definitely on the sweet side, but remains lucid and maybe even sparkling. I really don't detect any sort of orange or mandarin fruit, only flowers of the fruit. I also can't understand the "metallic" description I've read by other reviewers. The scent kept drifting up to my nose, and there was nothing metallic about it on my skin.

I adore Neroli 36! On my 4th bottle so I am pretty addicted. I find this to be a discretely fresh, elegant and an uplifting fragrance with a modern neroli floral vanilla musc beachy vibe. I wear this in the summer to remind me of being on the mediterranean and in the winter/colder months to add a little sunshine. So elegantly fresh and beautiful. Also adore the body lotion which is ever so slightly different (has a bit more juicy sweetness) and I find pairs really well with the edp.

There is something uniquely beautiful about this one, it is unlike any neroli perfume I have sniffed. It is captivating. Addictive. It smells like a rich wo/man at a luxury resort, wearing the softest, prettiest, creamiest, orange, floral perfume with the surrounding delicious smells (like beautiful scents, skin by the pool, and clean, luxurious, happiness) seamlessly blended in. ***Also, it reminds me of Italy and how delicious the men smell! Sooo fricken good! Haha, I love it!🟠🍦💰

the Le Labo salesperson told me this reminded her of putting on a beach towel and now every time I wear it I feel comforted by the thought of returning from the beach. Crisp clean neroli, saved from becoming powdery with some slightly watery fruit mixed in. White musk balances out the aldehydes and stop them from becoming too sharp in the bridge of your nose? Yk??? Feels pleasant all day. A hug from someone in freshly dried linen. Idc if it’s not a perfect neroli, it’s beautiful!

This was my first niche fragrance, and it has a hold on me I can’t quite explain. It smells like a luxury european summer. Very elegant, creamy, warm, and slightly nostalgic. There’s something in it that reminds me of sunscreen on a perfect beach day, yet it feels polished, sensual, and sophisticated. It’s not a crowd pleaser at all, but I think that’s the beauty of it - it’s the kind of scent that only people who truly understand perfume would appreciate.

I really like this perfume - it is very feminine and soft. With it on, I can imagine a day by a lake with flowering trees all around and a picnic basket of goodies with white wine. I can tell where some reviewers get a soapy vibe - it is definitely there. But for me, this adds to the softness and femininity. It is very natural - not fake or harsh at all. I have a sample, but may have to invest in a whole bottle!

Not a big fan of Le Labo to be honest so I went into testing this one super skeptical. Well, it is lovely. Unique- no, not really. It has a lot of Soleil Blanc in it and is super similar to Jardin L’Orangerie. JLO is much milkier and cozier while Neroli 36 is summer, warm beach skin and beautiful white florals. I am yet to buy a full bottle from the brand but it is between this and Lys.

I have Fleur d’Oranger on one arm, and am trying a sample of the Neroli on the other. There is no comparison. The Neroli is a pleasant, well-crafted scent but it has very little presence. I like it but there’s not a lot of there there. It’s almost a shampoo or body lotion smell. Clean. Nothing to offend. But not exciting enough for me to buy full size.

Absolutely love the scent but i wish it lasted longer. Very clean, aquatic, lovely white floral. It feels so light and airy and dances above the skin without really sinking in. Agree with comments pointing out sunscreen. A friend said i smelled like lemons when i was wearing this which i don’t get at all

This is one of my favorite summer scents. It is a warm and solar white floral. It’s sunscreen and saltwater. It’s a day at the beach when your skin slightly stings from the ocean water and too much sun, the sand sticking to the sunscreen you just reapplied to your legs. It’s carefree, nostalgic, summer.

Ugh, this one is such a beauty. Sunny, sparkling, fresh, juicy...it's like blue skies and white sunshine in a bottle. I was stuck between this and Lys 41, but I ended up going with Lys because I wanted something more alluring. This is one of my favorites from Le Labo though.

Orange blossom and jasmine over top of the signature le labo musk. A little bit of aldehydes, clean feeling. In my opinion this is the le labo with the most universal appeal, it's a very safe and comfortable fragrance. I'd probably purchase if it wasn't for the price point.

soft and cozy, close-to-skin scent, that leaves a fresh somewhat soapy vibe. For me this is very feminine scent, the name is a bit misleading, as i do not pick up the neroli. Nevertheless it is absolutely worth trying for those, who like me, loves soapy aldehyde scents...

It's literally smells like summer in a bottle, don't listen to everyone saying it's a spring scent. Everytime I smell it I feel like I'm 5 about to jump into a pool and have the best summer day ever. But real question you need to ask yourself is it worth the price.

This is what I would expect Jasmine 27 to smell like. Gorgeous aquatic with a ton of Jasmine. I’m convinced that people who leave reviews here have either never smelled the fragrance before or don’t know what the raw materials smell like.

This is beautiful. I just remembered what it smells like to me... Oil crayons! Growing up I loved drawing and art making. Something about this neroli scent reminds me of twist stick crayons. I find it very soothing.

i love this scent. it feels very full, so flowery but also a nice musky undertone and definitely an orange blossom in there. it feels super natural on my skin, though i do wish it lasted a little longer.

It’s a longer lasting “Pure Soap” by Clean. Maybe just slightly creamier, more layered but not much. I love both.

People can hate on this fragrance but I like it a lot. Very clean and fresh. A man can wear this.

Sunny, fresh, mandarin orange and vanilla. Especially lovely layered with extra vanilla.

I like this, not sure if it's a love yet. A blind buy on eBay so I got it for a discount, not sure if I would shell out Le Labo bucks for this, but it's still a pretty scent. Light and buoyant; beachy without being dumb. While there's no coconut or tiare here to put it in the "beach" category, the aldehydes and the orange blossom give it that undeniable summer thing. Despite the somewhat misleading nature of this perfume, given the name and the seemingly lack of Neroli, this is still a decidedly "solar" scent. If you've smelled Le Labo Aldehydes 44 (the Dallas scent) it's like that, but with just a ton of orange blossom on top. If you're not an aldehyde fan, I wouldn't blind buy this, but if you're an orange blossom lover, it's definitely worth a sniff.

Neroli 36 by Le Labo is my significant other’s signature scent, and it will forever remind me of our time together. It’s incredibly clean, bright and luminous without ever being flashy. There’s a classic feel to it, but it never veers into old-school – instead, it smells comfortingly familiar, soft and effortless. It brings to mind crisp white sheets, the gentle sweetness of skin, and a whisper of white florals. It’s the kind of fragrance that suits absolutely anyone, regardless of gender, style, weather or time of day. The projection is moderate to light, but it lasts just long enough to never feel like you need to reapply – especially in warm weather. A quietly beautiful scent that never offends, but somehow always leaves a trace.

Visiting the Le Labo booth at the local department store for the 3rd or 4th time hoping one of these would actually click with me this time, I was recommending Neroli 36 as an alternative to Bergamot 22. Personally I only see it as an alternative in terms of utility, the actual scent is nothing alike, bergamot being your classic one dimensional tart green scent and neroli being all but tart and green, more so a sweet floral musky neroli fragrance. Once again I don't really enjoy fragrances that hover around a single accord rather than trying to go beyond that by actually creating a complex abstract composition. That being said it is not a bad feminine leaning neroli albeit a rather trivial one imo.

I’m not usually a big lover of neroli, I find if it’s the main component of a fragrance it tends to feel quite boring and flat. Unfortunately I get that with Neroli 36, although it’s still nice don’t get me wrong. This scent is pure white floral with bright, fluffy aldehydes. It’s clean and soapy, elegant and slightly feminine whilst maintaining great balance between the notes and brilliant quality. These all sound like great things, but it lacks depth and character for me. I would’ve loved to see something a bit more adventurous in there to help it stand out from the crowd. However if you’re a pure white floral lover and you’re not looking for anything else, this could be a great option.

This smells very similar to Replica's Beach Walk and Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc, that mix of creamy white florals with a solar quality to them. The aldehydes give this a fuzzy and soapy scent, especially right at the beginning, which differentiates this from the others and the flowers are more pronounced in this as well. This is essentially a floral, suntan lotion scent you'd wear on a tropical vacation and it's really well blended and linear. It's not your typical fresh citrus neroli (in fact the jasmine is the strongest note for me) and it may throw you for a loop because of that. It has a moderate sillage and longevity and is a unisex perfume that leans feminine.

Tough fragrance to grade tbh. I've never smelt anything similar. It's strong soapy, a bit floral but not too much, kind of metallic but not in a bad way, its greenly, citrusy and musky. Definitely a summer fragrance, for the day too, but can't be worn to any occasion, to me this gives rich-fancy beachy vibes, going out to a open roof restaurant for brunch near a beach, yacht or boat party vibes, taking a walk on a pier with your group of friends, maybe a significant other, not something you wear to the gym, or to go for a walk and need a fresh smell. Yeah it's good but NOT blind buy material, please smell this before you even attempt to purchase.

Unpopular opinion: I enjoy this fragrance because it is basic. I acquired a sample vial of it and was wearing it so frequently that I almost immediately ran out of it. It was perfect for wearing to work, lab, and classes. Pleasant and quiet, just enough to lift my spirits. If it were half the price or had significantly better longevity, I would buy it right away. Unfortunately, though, neither of those things are true. The abrupt end to this simple journey has left me wanting more but not enough to change my mind. Edit: Found a barely used bottle that was half off on mecari. I am satisfied with my little bottle of happiness.

Have been trying out a tester sample of this for two days in a row now. To me this does smell like a morning to late afternoon time on lake Como in late August/early September or Mediterranean seaside in late May/early June. Orange blossom, sea breeze, distant notes of vanilla. I find that this fragrance opens fully on warm skin, in the cold it does smell soapy/ synthetic and needs longer to react. Will probably buy a larger size to use on warm holidays/ for a pick me up on a sunny cold spring day ;)

Picked up a sample and I like it! Very straightforward Neroli scent. I'm a huge Le Labo fan and it doesn't take much convincing for me to grab a full bottle but this one felt 'eh' to me. I do like it and it's a very nice spring scent with a touch of musk to make it a little more complex. If you love Neroli you will love it. If someone gifted this to me I could see myself picking it up every now and then but for my own money its a pass as I truly feel it would get lost in the back of my closet.

Citrusy, musky and light enough for a hot day. Even though it’s has mandarin orange (citrus note) but I don’t find it has that sharp citrusy note like some of citrus fragrances. Opening with mandarin orange and after an hour you get the middle note of jasmine & Rose. I find it’s musky from middle note - base note. It has that Le Labo DNA. Longevity is very moderate, after 2-3 hours it sits close to the skin or sometimes can barely smell anymore, unless you spray it on your clothes.

Though I haven't tried this on in some time, it is a scent I really loved when I bought it. I remember it being bright and fresh on my skin, with subtle mandarin on the opening and a white-musky base note. I would wear it in summer because it smelt like sunshine and yellow flowers. The sad thing was that it never lasted long. I felt a bit ripped off with its performance. For this reason I have never purchased again and still haven't found a replacement for it.

Yes this smells like sunscreen but on me it also smells a bit like markers when I first put it on! Which I actually like because I associate those solvent-y paint markers with nostalgia and childhood. This is a very "nursery teacher" scent to me in the best way: clean, reliable, elegant, likeable. Unfortunately likeability isn't enough for me to spend Le Labo money on a full bottle but it is very pretty and it'll be someone's signature for sure!

This is a breezy, mineralic, ocean-front white floral. The orange blossom and jasmine here are as light as clouds scudding by, far-off and wistful. It's like a grassy, sloping dune near the beach, strewn with driftwood and half-dry clumps of seaweed. You've brought a book, and a freshly-laundered linen sheet that you unfurl and lay out, making a place to sit and read.

A white floral scent with citrus touches, nothing particularly special. If you like Lancôme Ô de l’Orangerie, you’ll probably like this one too — they smelled quite similar to me. The sillage is low, the longevity is moderate, and it develops in a fairly linear way. I liked it, but I don’t think it’s worth the price. There are better versions of this kind of scent.

Neroli 36 pleasantly surprised me. I find this fragrance fruity and floral, and I picked up almost a watermelon-esque note that balanced this scent nicely. I don't usually reach for fragrances with rose notes, but this one I actually enjoy. This smells like the afternoon after coming home from the beach, sitting on the deck eating watermelon as a kid.

Notice the comments before me and notice that it's mostly women who dig this. I say this as a guy who was given a sample of this and, yea, this is way too feminine and floral for a guy to pull off. Beautiful for a woman, a pass for a man. A nice, Spring/Summer time fragrance.

Crisp, clean, green, aquatic, almost a sharp metallic-ness. Reminds me a lot of B&BW's Rainkissed Leaves without the Ozone scent. Nostalgic feeling wearing it, especially in the summer. Would not purchase a bottle at that price point, though.
