Santal 33 Perfume Oil

This is 100% on the more expensive side of fragrances and I get that. My dad bought a 120ML of this for me maybe 3ish years ago and I never really wore it so it just slid to the back of my wardrobe. I just found it again about a month ago and have been wearing it all the time and I love it. I am not getting any of the dill pickle notes that people are talking about and I am not sure if that is because I have an older batch or if I have let it mature more because its been in my closet for so long but either way its great. Its very woody with a bit of lavender/violet. If you had to ask me when to wear it I would say whenever you want but especially during school/work/date. If you put a lot of oil on your skin it actually projects nicely but if you put less its perfect for school or work when you are close to people and you don't want to annoy them. 10/10 fragrance, makes me want to explore LeLabo more.

its a cedar and sandalwood bomb that lasts a long time. i like it but it is very recognizable and very linear.the iris is lipsticky smelling.the violet and cedar together give it a slight coconut smell in my opinion.i was told this scent is used extensively in new york.around here i am about the only man who wears this.and wear it i will because its unmistakably le labo santal 33.

ok, it's the same has the spray formula, a bit shy, doesn't projects as the spray formula, but goes straight to business, without the migrane fell in the opening. Santal 33 is beautifull in oil or spray or whatever, just 5 stars!

Tested it today after purchasing the spray, oh yea will be getting it next to compliment the perfume. Excellent!

Does the oil formula smells the same as the spray formula? There's any difference?

I have a bottle of Le Labo Santal 33 Perfume oil (3/4 full) and want to swap it for Regime des Fleurs Falling Trees or Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady. If interested, send me a message.

Got a sample of this and it's giving me migraine whenever I wear it. But it's not a perfume that I would wear anyway, too 'into your face'.

Quite like this, rather like a furniture polish/leather smell, not a bad thing. At least it has character which is what I'm looking for. Smells a bit waxy too. Not sure I'd seek it out beyond a decant but it's interesting. For some reason I find myself thinking of Chergui, I'll have to do a each hand comparison to see why. Anyway it's pleasantly aromatic in the air. It's a yes for me.

I've tried both a decant of the spray and the oil and I think the oil is better. In a way I absolutely cannot accurately describe, the oil seems like a subtle improvement on the spray. Maybe there's something about atomising vs stick application? Either way, the oil presents a more enjoyable version of the spray. Worth a try if you can.

I don't have the perfume version of this one, so can not tell the difference. However, the longevity of the oil version is crazy! The projection is moderate. I really enjoy the woody notes combine with very subtle sweetness, calming and soothing. This is a must try!
