Chai Épicé

This was an awesome find. Beautiful sweet/spicy gourmand that, to my surprise, seems to last for about 7+ hours with a moderate sillage. It’s not dense; there’s definitely an airiness about it. The quality and complexity offered from this scent is a great value as you can get it between $10-$18 (you can still get it in certain UO stores, and I see others have gotten it on sale at Tj Maxx). I have not worn it in hot weather yet but it does not seem like it would become cloying, although its profile seems better suited for fall and winter. For night time, layering with something woody to play up the spiciness is amazing; it’s very sexy layered with Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black. I also recently layered it with Montale’s Sensual Instinct as I don’t pick up much sweetness from that fragrance on my skin personally and this really elevated and balanced it out. Great on its own; perfect for layering too if you want to play up the sweetness or soften the sharpness/sourness of other fragrances. Got lots of compliments on it. I’m sad it’s being discontinued // purchased a back-up bottle.

Le Mond Gourmand’s Chai Épicé is a new favorite in my collection. Of course, I am biased towards gourmands, but I couldn’t help but pick this one out from the rest of the tester selection for purchase. Sometimes I feel lacking on a really solid vanilla fragrance, so Chai Épicé fills a niche. It’s sweet and spicy, but not too spicy— more like a creamy spiced latte with a hint of fresh pastry. The vanilla mingles graciously with almond. The gentle sea salt note adds something special to enhance the warmth and richness of the fragrance. Positively cozy, yummy, and feel-good, making this a great choice for autumn and early winter. You’re on a date at a small town coffee shop, sitting close, and dressed up to the neck in soft scarves and coats. It’s cold outside, but warm drinks make you both feel toasty inside and out.

my bottle is empty, but i don't remember using that much of this scent? it's almost like it hypnotized me, which sweet floral musks tend to do for me. this is absolutely amazing for the price point and i wish i had another bottle. it feels elegant and subtle but very sexy. i honestly don't know if i would pick noir distille from the same house or this. i can't imagine disliking this scent on anyone. all of this being said, i wouldn't recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to smell like a sugary caffeinated beverage. although, that beverage would come from the most sensual and beautiful cafe. i'm not sure how the sillage is, i've gotten more compliments wearing noir distille. this is like her beautiful, shy younger sister who hangs out at cafes and reads instead of going out for drinks.

I have the body oil, Perfume Roller, Jumbo and regular size versions of this. Istg if they make a body lotion and body wash I will have them! The body oil and the perfume roller are the most photo realistic to chai. The perfume bottles are more fig and blonde wood, which makes for its own interesting fragrance but if you want Chai Epice to smell spiced, oil is the better bet. Now, this smells like a first date to the Fair, over eating on funnel cake, corn dogs, and ice-cream. Then you sneak away to the park, kiss, and maybe more. It's such a fun and playful perfume, and easy date night fragrance, it's not overwhelming and if you want a compliment, or even catch an eye, this is a go to. There is a nostalgic factor to this too, get thrown back to the summer of '08 or 1955.

I don't think this smells like chai at all, but it does smell good. I also don't think it smells like fig or lily of the valley, although I definitely do get the "blonde woods". It's a little bit black-peppery somehow, and dries down very coconutty. It does smell "spicy" to me, in the way a full spice cabinet smells when you first open it and get a whiff of all the spice aromas mixing together. I am a sucker for a spicy fragrance, so this is right up my alley. I was already wearing Lush's Lust when I tried on Chai Épicé at Ulta and oddly enough, Lust and Chai Épicé go very well together (although I will say that the weather is cool and rainy today--I think this combination could be LETHAL in hot, humid weather, especially in an enclosed space).

This smells quite nice ! It’s very sweet , if you don’t enjoy sickly sweet scents , I’d steer clear . This is buttery , I get caramel corn and toasted marshmallow, it really reminds me of the sop de janeiro Brazilian crush 71 . It doesn’t last though, I may use mine for my hair , it’s a great layering scent . I got this one in regular perfume and the lait de coco hair n body spray, ( white perfume) from my fabfitfun and I immediately went on the website and ordered 3 more lol . Despite them being so weak , they are cheap and smell nice , they lol pretty. . Although I must say , I don’t actually get much chai spice , or any spice really , just sweet caramel corn , & buttery toasted marshmallows

this is a lighter version of fields at nightfall by zara. if fields at nightfall is a 10 on intensity, this is a 5. both are deliciously hard to place and mysterious in that way. it's sweet in a way that reminds me a lot of the caramel drizzle from starbucks and warm like cinnamon, but it is not spicy whatsoever. think like a cinnamon dolce latte with caramel drizzle. it's light though and by no means a beast mode fragrance, but perfect for cooler weather. it doesn't smell like fresh cream warm cashmere to my nose bc that one is more lactonic and perfume-y. this and vanilla mousse/creme are some of LMG's best perfumes. 10/10 would recommend

This perfume is soooo good for this price point. It doesn’t smell cheap at all and smells like a fall coffee it’s amazing. It doesn’t last the longest so you definitely need to re spray throughout the day but at that price point and how good it smells for being so affordable you can’t even be mad about it. I don’t really think it necessarily smells like chai but it smells like the perfect fall or winter warm drink. It smells so good and it’s the only more affordable perfume that I think definitely outperforms and smells a lot more expensive than it is. Will definitely repurchase this perfume I love it!

On my skin, the exact notes are difficult to pinpoint. It's warm and sweet. Like a blend of vanilla, cinnamon, musk, and nuttiness, except it's not *really* cinnamon or vanilla. More like other notes combined to give the same feeling, but I have an untrained nose so I don't know for sure what those notes are. Regardless, the breakdown of notes provided by fragrantica seems to have been swapped with another perfume on accident. It's really not anywhere near accurate. This was my signature scent until it disappeared from store shelves, though it just appeared at my local Ulta which is really exciting ^_^

Like a lot of the other reviews say, I don't think the notes are very accurate here. Maybe it's something I'm missing but this to me smells like the kind of chai you would get from starbucks. It isn't super accurate to actual chai, but it also isn't too far away from what you would expect. It's a very warm scent, cinnamon, sugar, fig, and a little bit of musk. I personally really love it, and for the price if you're unsure I would say it's a safe buy. Of all the scents I've bought from this brand this one is my favorite.

One of my absolute favorite gourmand scents! This scent dominates during fall and has moderate longevity. I do keep it with me for touch-ups but you could probably get away with anywhere from 5-6 hours before needing to re-spritz. I prefer to layer this on top of a vanilla-based perfume oil which enhances its warm notes. I receive many compliments when wearing this. The dry-down only smells better on me and doesn't differ much from the initial smell.

i'm pretty surprised by the notes. i don't smell fig in this fragrance AT ALL, much more lactonic than fruity. now that i'm aware of the floral notes i do somewhat smell them. the florals would explain the nice balance in this fragrance. it's a warm gourmand without being sickly sweet. reminds me of a yummy london fog tea, just one that is more milk and sugar forward rather than early grey. big fan of this for the fall/winter

i just recently picked up a bottle of this stuff for about 15 bucks. at first, i wasn't so sure about this scent. but after letting it dry down, it started to grow on me. and i am also, like many here, not picking up any fig notes in this scent. that being said, it's still a great cinnamon-y tea scent with a hint of musk to it. smells almost like you're in a fancy coffee house. definitely worth a buy if you like gourmands

BEAST. MODE. Not even exaggerating.. one spray on my wrist and the whole room smells of this perfume. Im surprised by the fragrance notes listed because to me this smell like a cinnamon bun without the frosting ((I LOVE)) because its sweet without being marshmallow sweet. I done smell any florals in this, just a spicy sweet goodness. If you wanna smell like a full cinnamon bun just layer this with a vanilla scent.

Okay, I love this scent. It smells nothing like what the notes are. It smells like a warm almond, vanilla Chai with some spices that are not too spicy. Not nauseating sweet and headache-inducing. It is SO beautiful, perfect for fall and winter. You may need to spray a bit more than the average perfume for a nice scent bubble, but I kept getting whiffs of it on me throughout the day and it is so pleasant.

This is the one that's getting me interested in Le monde gourmand. It is sweet (almost nauseatingly so if you're not in the mood for it, be warned), buttery and warm. It does not smell like chai whatsoever, but it is a lovely comfort scent on cozy winter days spent inside. I smell it quite strongly on myself, but since I've never had comments on it, I'm guessing it remains in a close scent bubble.

Although the name of this perfume has "chai" in it, it doesn't exactly smell like chai. However, it makes me want to sip on some chai. It's just so cozy and warm! It has this je ne sais quoi; I just want to keep smelling it. The sweetness isn't super strong because it comes from the freshness of violet and figs, and I think that makes it even more delicious. Super great for the amount you pay for!

I was hesitant on getting this at TJ Maxx today but for $13 I had to. It smells so amazing and right now is the perfect time to buy a fall scent. I was confused at first because the one I bought says "Chai Éclair" but I saw a reddit saying they're the same just a different name. I should have noticed when I saw the 014 on top for both of them. Either way, I love this scent 🥰

This definitely smells like a rich, indulgent chai drink. While I don't get a lot of sillage from this, I can say that every time I have worn this I can smell the last warm, lingering notes of it on my arm 12+ hours later, which is really nice. It's like making a lovely decadent coffee drink in your kitchen, and smelling the remnants of it long after it's gone. Lovely.

I love this scent!!! It honestly smells very chocolate and nutty when I first spray it on, very similar to Cheirosa 71. I smell a little bit of the ginger. It lasts pretty long as well, and 3 hours later I can smell it on my skin still! I might need more sprays in the future, but because this product is so affordable, I don't mind using more.

this smells like a rich, creamy, hot beverage, perfect for fall. its spicy and buttery and warm and super delicious. it dries down to smell a little more smoky/woodsy. overall very gourmand but its definitely not too overpowering plus its super super affordable, im pretty sure i got this for like $12 at nordstrom rack lol

the notes listed are so weird LOL im not getting any fig or floral notes at all, it smells yummy and cinnamon and is PERFECT for the fall and winter. longetivity isnt the craaziest but i love it enough to keep respraying it, love it smsmsm if anyone knows of smth like this with an even better longetivity id love to know.

This paired with the sol de janeiro body oil glow is amazing. It’s a very realistic, beautiful fragrance that performs exceptionally well, especially given its price point. Would recommend to anyone who prefers realistic gourmand scents. It feels like I’m bathing in chai!! Also pairs well with many other fragrances

smells like the embodiment of a cozy cashmere sweater! Don’t get much chai here, but it’s more so like an ultra musky, fluffy, and softly sweet sweater with very subtle spices to it. It’s soft, mildly sweet, very musky, and has a warm woody spice underlying. Such a cozy scent with a name that doesn’t really match

Only smell the spices at the opening /top notes. Then it becomes a sweet vanilla amber. I think I’m going to get a backup bottle. Layers over less sweet scents I put it over curious in control by Britney. I was walking through the store browsing body products and realized I kept smelling myself and loving it !

I don’t get chai or spice from the notes on my skin, but I find the fig particularly juicy with helpings of vanilla to soothe the blend. Safe blind buy if you’re into gourmands- this one’s sweet. Utterly enchanting. Would be best for cold weather, but it’s a safe year-round office scent. Longevity: 5 hours

I love this. It’s the perfect amount of spicy and not in a “stinging your nose” kind of way. This girl loves big fluffy sweaters and holding her friends close all the time. She loves strongly and her aura is as comforting and her big deep brown eyes. Very warm, and only around $30 for 1.6 oz I believe

Lots of cinnamon/cinnamon bark, pretty sweet, a little powdery and not at all floral, but definitely a hint of dried herbs. In my opinion this smells nothing like chai, but it nonetheless smells incredible. I stole this sent from an Urban outfitters in sophomore year, and have loved it ever since.

we had a week of cooler days so i broke this out in anticipation for fall. it is so lovely, almost candle-like, but not in a bad way. i’m not sure if i would compare it to chai but it does feel very fall, which in turn makes me want chai. it does its job.

I still use this even after a year (never used it up) after it macerated, it's even sweeter than before. Think of a sweet latte but u added too much sweetener, the taste is how you'd smell it. A very sweet drink with a hint of nut spice

I was very happy with this purchase. It’s a perfect fall scent!! Very sweet and cozy and warm. They nailed the cinnamon in tea notes to really pull together the chai. It’s not overwhelming and drives down slightly floral and fresh.

On me this smells predominantly of vanilla and doesn't change from first application to the end of the day. Just a warm, delicious vanilla scent. I apply perfume very heavily and I can still smell this on my sweaters after weeks

So yummy, I don't get chai exactly but it smells just like cinnamon short bread cookies. It lasts a super long time, but the silliage is very small, like wrist sniff to get a whiff small... still, I like it a lot!

Very cozy chai, with a crisp clean undernote. I bought it from a TJ Maxx. Did it ferment over time? Because I love it even more than before, and I'm almost out. I will revisit this one in the future.

Love this one! It reminds me of a maple candle (in the best way). It also reminds me of a perfume (or maybe even lotion) I used to wear in High School, and I love that it gives me mini flashbacks!

very simple. It smells like freshly baked cookies. it last longer on clothes. I find myself re-spraying my body throughout the day (but I'm a sillage girly). I low this for layering.

The fragrance notes on here are the last scents I would expect to be listed. It’s warm vanilla sugar. It’s pink sugar. But like, grown up a bit? I’m surprised how much I like it.

If you love sweet warm perfumes this one is IT. Lasts forever on clothes and has good projection. Perfect for cooler nights. for the price you can't beat it

This is a beautiful, affordable, fall perfume. To me, it gives cozy creamy chai latte. I love layering with philosophy fresh cream warm cashmere.

IKEA scented candle. It's a good thing. Smells like cheap, synthetic spice scented candle but it's never overwhelming

Energetically this reminds me of cinnamon baked apple slices. PSL and an infinity scarf. Such a yummy spicy gourmand
