Clementine Bisous

Fresh, citrus, sweet, clean, floral, pretty, refreshing. This smells you just got out of the shower after using the prettiest most high-end shampoo you’ve ever tried and you grab a cutie (clementine) to snack on, and as you peel it, it mists the air with its sweet invigorating scent. Sooooo so so pretty and refreshing. Very fresh and lovely citrus with such a beautiful and clean feminine floral quality to it. I do not understand how this perfume doesn’t have more hype. It’s my favorite out of all the Le Monde Gourmand fragrances and honestly one of my favorites of all time. It’s so so pretty and I never get tired of it. Longevity is surprising good as is the sillage. This has a nice moderate projection and lasts me a good 4-5 hours! A much better performance than Fleur du Blonde. My fiancé is OBSESSED with this fragrance. It’s one of his favorites on me, which is saying something because usually he feels pretty meh about most fragrances I’ve tried. He always compliments me when I wear this (especially when layered with Demeter’s Tomato to add a little green zestiness). This one is going to be a forever purchase of mine. Especially with how affordable it is. 10/10

Clementine Bisous is like the 'Cuties" citrus jewel clementines: so sweet, juicy, easy going and thirst quenching. This very juicy citrus perfume is blended with the understated elegance of the full bodied tropical frangipani flower. The scent rests on the sandalwood accord. **The “juice” is really juicy.” LOL and true. This is a fun and inexpensive fleeting perfume that requires retouching. It’s also a refreshing summer fling in a bottle.

I love this scent, I wear it mostly on special occasions as I don't want to use it up too fast! It's very bright and cheery, yet romantic and warm. The clementine has a very fresh feel. It lasts pretty well on skin, but really sticks around on hair and clothing.

So I bought this because I love skin scents and Clementine and because Le Monde Gourmand creates some unique skin-scent fragrances that are calming and reminiscent of sitting in the shade of a tree in the hot summer or enjoying the warm sun of May with the intoxicating breeze of flowers. This is the vibe of most of their perfumes to me. I love natural scents, woody, earthy or aquatic, also herbal smells even more than gourmand ones and some good balsamic notes, incense, leather, and amber. Some have a solar essence like Le Soleil Brille which is a dusty floral skin scent and gives that sunny soothing feeling even though I'm not a fan of its intense and sharp, dusty, floral blast at first. Others like Santal Supreme are very herbal (its a pretty good dupe for the cardamom edp by kkw Nude Soleil). So Clementine Bisous is also another bucolic scent, but it's not the Fleur De Blonde ethereal type. What I don't like it's how sour it turns on my skin at the drydown and how there aren't any smooth notes in the background to add some warmth to it and balance the sour tone. It's not a true Clementine sweet scent due to that. Nevertheless I do enjoy the opening, it's quite sharp, slightly bitter like unripe fruit and quite green, and with a touch of sweetness from the Clementine, but wish that was amplified. I LOVE clementines, I'm from Greece and this is how our local fresh markets in the neighborhoods smell every Monday, a sweet Clementine aroma. The rest of the perfume as I said is too sour and "dry" on me, not enough sweetness left. Longevity in their perfumes is not good with the exception of Coco Mystere (amazing), Oud Sahara (unique, heavy, smokey), Tres Pine (my favorite after Pistachio Brulee which does not last), Hazelnut L'Hun, Sel Caramel, Miel Bebe (reminiscent of celeb fragrances) and the amazing, one-of-a-kind, unique Lait De Coco (amazing projection on me). The rest don't last on me more than 30 mins. I pair Clementine Bisous with bbw pink cashmere (as that one smells like sweet clementines) and they smell amazing together. The sour note of Clementine Bisous is toned down and the fruity bitter green bitterness is amplified so it resembles a bvlgari perfume and somewhere in the depth of the mixed fragrances there's some of this beautiful Clementine's crude unique sweetness. That concoction lasts about 30-40 mins on me sadly and not much silage so one star off due to that and due to the lack of smooth syrupy notes that would counteract the tart astringent effect at the drydown (but I do love the green bitterness of the fragrance).

Beautiful light fresh such a happy scent! I cannot stop smelling my wrist! Usually white florals are migraine inducing for me but it’s such a well balanced scent profile with the citrus and the sandalwood that it doesn’t bother me at all. Makes me want to be outside in the sunshine I love this so much. I am a sucker for orange notes and this is now another one on my list that I’d 100% recommend. I’d say this is a pretty safe blind buy. *also reminds me of my Ellis Brooklyn sci fi perfume, it has some differing qualities but the same family!

If you like clementine, you'll love this scent! The floral notes are super, super subdued, so it's actually pretty unisex! I would actually wear this more as a layering scent than on its own personally, but I still love it!
