Confetti Dorés

I LITERALLY FEEL LIKE A CUPCAKE GODDESS WEARING THIS PERFUME!! Le monde gourmand have absolutely blown my mind yet again!! 🎂✨ No seriously though this perfume is so so so gorgeous and im absolutely addicted to it alreadyyy!! 💖 When you first spray it, I do notice a slightly play-doh type of scent as other reviewers have also said. It doesn’t last too long though, and once it settles on the skin it fades away!! After the dry down is when I really start to love this fragrance!! On me it smells like a jammy Victoria sponge cake with sweet vanilla frosting! It’s sweet, bakery-like, and really comforting and has the perfect silage to give you a lovely sweet scent bubble! It has that soft sugary gourmand feel without being too heavy or overwhelming in my opinion and I feel like the longer that you wear this perfume, the better and better it gets!! I feel like this perfume gets its most cakey and delicious after around 1-2 hours and I LOVE how this one develops on my skin, it’s SOOO YUMMM and definitely a compliment getter!! 💕🍰 One super interesting thing I’ve noticed with this perfume is that it can smell quite different depending on the day or even the person wearing it. Some days I get that cake and jam dessert vibe really strongly, but other times it leans more like sugared roses on my skin, which is really interesting and I feel makes this perfume so dynamic and yet still playful, fun to wear!! And when I’ve let others try this perfume, it’s smelled even more gourmand and like a vanilla sponge on them!!🧁🌹 For the price, I honestly think this perfume is incredible value. It smells really nice and it’s also amazing for layering with other gourmand perfumes because it adds that extra sugary, cakey sweetness!! it’s such a fun fragrance, especially if you like sweet gourmands!! As a blind buy though or if you’re just someone who isn’t SUPER into INSANELY SWEET smells then maybe this one isn’t for you, but me personally as someone who is absolutely obsessed with smelling as sweet as humanly possible, I DEFINITELY think this is the best cake perfume in my collection and I adore it sooo much!! ✨🧁💕

I like this scent and it’s definitely grown on me, at first I thought I smelled strawberries but it’s just a very icing heavy confetti cake smell to me. It honestly reminds me of how a snack cake or something would smell if it was pretty Not what I was initially expecting but it’s nice! I also don’t get any rose

To me, this is a photo-realistic funfetti fragrance. It's sweet and playful and I'm obsessed with it. I got it for my boyfriend's sister for Christmas and have been meaning to pick up a bottle for myself since. It amazes me how these notes can combine to smell so much like something else.

This is my favorite from Le Monde Gourmand -- it of course has a sweet cake smell, but there's a subtle amber in this one that helps it layer really well with more "mature" fragrances. Low-medium projection and short lifespan make this one great, but with ample room for improvement.

Dude this smells straight up like Strawberry Snowflakes due to their common bergamot note and the milky sweet base in both. Strawberry Snowflakes has strawberries and whipped cream and in the Confetti Dores the Apple blossom, jammy rose and jasmine being so sugared kinda give off a strawberry-like bubblegum sweetness from the opening which is brighter thru the drydown and it's very marshmallowy. It is more powdery in the later drydown from the jammy rose and still very sugared. Confetti Dores is deeper than Strawberry Snowflakes in the opening due to the hazelnut. No bakery or cake scent here, maybe a cupcake scent like a soft sugared vanilla but not like the BBW baked goods vanilla scents like the Happy Birthday mist. I also still smell the bubblegum strawberry snowflakes DNA in the drydown, it's the heart of this perfume and it's the signature vein of Strawberry Snowflakes. This is overall much warmer and more sugary as a scent, more dimensional too than the more simple, louder and lactonic Strawberry Snowflakes. Confetti Dores has musk and vanilla so there is some milky undertone here too along with that bubblegum scent, but it's a more cozy scent than the colder, milky sweetness of Strawberry Snowflakes. It's not as loud strawberry-bubblegum as Strawberry Snowflakes is because there's no actual strawberry note here, but yea they're pretty identical with a few differences. As I mentioned it lacks the very lactonic tone of Strawberry Snowflakes from the whipped cream note there, and Confetti Dores is more woody, warmer and very sugared. This doesn't last more than 3 hrs on me and it doesn't project that much. The Strawberry Snowflakes mist is potent compared to this. How the scent develops. The opening of this is soft vanilla marshmallowy, deep and with that very sweet bubblegum scent. Then instantly I smell some woody cozy warmth from the hazelnut and sugar. It has a warm sugared undertone in the drydown as well, slightly woody - it's from the hazelnut and blonde woods. Jasmine is also a note which along with orange blossom and vanilla or caramel it creates a nutty effect as in Scandal Le Parfum and in La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat with the iris there too. Here the nutty effect is more subtle and I smell it in the drydown mainly, so yea I only get some deep warmth from the Hazelnut in the opening and not an intense nutty effect early on. The hazelnut retains the cozy warmth in the fragrance along with the vanilla. It's still nice but yea I expected something new not a strawberry snowflakes clone. It is more perfume'y in the drydown than Strawberry Snowflakes, and more vanilla-centered in comparison, it doesn't smell like a mist, it's only juvenile in the opening imo.
