Crème Brûlée

Just picked this perfume up from Marshalls earlier today. It was cheap...why not. Plus, the notes look so yummy!! Testing: Oh wow....This is quite powdery! Definitely the powderiest fragrance that I currently own! Not a bad thing...it's soft and sweetly vanillic. This feels like an older fragrance...from the 60s...I really like this!! Thats wild....I have an aromachemical that smells like "Baby Powder" but I don't like it...THIS is the kind of "Powder" that I like!!! Mature...classy...sophisticated...regal even!! This smells like what a queens Royal wig would smell like from the medieval days! UPDATE: I wore this tonight as a base layer with "Juicy Couture" layered on top for a church music event I played at. I put on everything around 1730 and its 2238 right now and I'm still radiating this amazing fragrance combo!! Let me tell you.....I got sooooo many compliments tonight!!!! From guys, women, kids...everyone! I N-E-V-E-R , in a million years , would have E-V-E-R thought that a powdery fragrance could/would last this long!!!! Both "Noir Extreme" and "Musc Ragaveur" lasted about 45 minutes on me when I had them and I had to carry a huge decant with me just to smell either of those two (which I got rid of both...they sucked). Tonight I carried around a 3ml sprayer with the combo in it and I never even needed to use it. I gave it to the piano player because he said he could hardly concentrate because I smelled so good! I'm going back to Marshalls tomorrow at lunch to pick up a second bottle of this powder-heaven fragrance! This stuff is friggin A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

this is the first perfume of which ive actually almost hit pan. actually wait britney's midnight fantasy duo ball might beat that but ive had that one since like, 3rd grade? this is the first perfume ive loved enough to remember to wear everyday. i only bought it 4~ months ago. it makes me feel like a real girl doing pretty decadent things for myself and ive been into putting energy into my vessel like that the past half year. its....sweet, not in a totally innocent way but not overtly flirty, like it says, I know you think im a an explosion of icecream and sex and powderpuffballs and you want it bad and maybe you can get it if youre the type of boy who smiles for no reason, but probably wont get it.,ever. you have to be a little close to be able to smell it on me. the girls love it too--and theyre the ones who exclaim ohmygod you smell so good after i hug them goodbye for the night. all that being said, it doesnt smell like creme bru lee. its not annoyingly syrupy and roasted like that, its something else, akin to the afterthought of a dulce so soft and unassuming it cant really be named. no longer sold in stores so i will be buying again via secondhand on mercari.

I purchased this while rummaging through a Marshall’s at a time when I was purchasing every scent that I could. I took this home and I was “meh.” I regretted my purchase. I still wore it to the gym, just to not waste it. This grew on me substantially. It is not a Crème Burlee scent. It smells like a bubbly, bright, and refreshing cream soda. It’s mildly sweet, has a slightly powdery character, and has excellent performance for the price. It reminds me of Prada Candy, just muted. I consistently got 6 hours of wear with an intimate projection. This is a excellent option for the gym, for a fresh out of the shower scent, or for an evening in and you want something soft. This was not a love at first sniff, but this has earned a place in my collection and has earned a 7/10 rating for me. If you spot this at a discounter I think it’s worth taking a chance on.

I’m baffled at all the people calling this “powdery”. The diaper one made me laugh but I really don’t get that at all either. I get a spicy vanilla - I have PHLUR’s vanilla skin in the perfume, the travel spray, AND the body mist and this crème brûlée reminds me of a cheaper body mist version of it. Very spicy vanilla. Or actually it smells like if commodity milk put out a body mist. Don’t get any powder at all but there is a lactonic quality that maybe people think is powder? I tried this on at TJ maxx and ended up buying it. The cashier complimented me saying “you smell sooo good what is that??” That literally never happens to me so take that for what it’s worth.

This is a strong baby powder -like scent. Nothing more nothing less. For the first few minutes it's just baby powder. Then slowly the baby powder fades into a soft, lactonic scent. And way in the back there is absolutely and most definitely an apricot note that adds a bit of sweetness. It's a beautiful soft skin scent. It smells innocent and warm. If a baby blanket would be a smell thus would be it. The only thing I don't like about this scent is it's name, because it's Ill fitting and it doesn't describe the actual scent of the fragrance. I wouldn't really consider this a gourmand scent. It's a powdery, slightly lactonic fragrance.

Really love this scent. I’m a huge fan of gourmand and vanilla notes, and this hits the spot. It’s not alcoholic like most cheap perfumes, but has a nice strong scent. It’s not one layered either, such nice feminine smell but also not floral and overpowering. It’s great to pair with other perfumes. Can be worn alone or paired for any season in my opinion it’s very ambiguous. Love this one and the Chai epice they’re really great finds. Also love the size great for travel or for your purse.

This smells a lot like the purple curve crush , also like Prada candy night or Prada candy kiss , very feminine and yes, powdery but it’s very sweet on me , there is a tiny bit of sharpness though, but it fades. .. I really like this scent . I have a few from the brand . I wanted to get more but I wasn’t allowed to smell them before buying so I only grabbed this one . Overall impression, curve crush mixed with Prada candy night/kiss . I think it’s lovely

If this had better performance and silage I swear this would be my signature fragrance, I lived this in store and everyday I love it more. I get different compliments with it such as it smells fresh or smells like vanilla cookies, It's a perfume that even non-gourmand lovers, will love. And that lactonic opening is pure perfection. Sadly the lasting power is like a cheap body mist. I'll still repurchase.

Wearing this again today with "Instant Crush" layered on pulse points. Heavenly!! I'm sooooo glad I bought two bottles of this while it was on sale in my area. I'm halfway through the first bottle, I'll start searching for another soon enough. I don't want to ever spend a summer without this one... <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

i smelt the body and hair mist and it smells really nice! like a sweet treat, probably not creme brulee but something similar to it yk it smells very nice though and it lasts, I sprayed it on myself and I could smell it hours later

Love love LOVE that this fragrance is inspired by my favorite dessert and even more so that I got my hands on it! This is such a yummy gourmand!

I LOVE this perfume. It has a really rich, sultry smell to it and it's slowly becoming one of my favourites. It would be amazing for layering.

The scent notes dont describe this perfume well! Its so sweet but somehow also spicy and maybe even a little smoky? Smells so good and cozy

At first you might think this is nothing special at all. And maybe you're correct. Maybe it's not *special* at all. It doesn't really give you the full experience until you least expect it, because upon first application, it's easy to assume that this is just a forgettable vanilla. And again, maybe it kind of is. The issue is that it smells rather...odd, at first. Almost chalky in texture. Impossible to totally describe. And while it's not bad, it's not the gourmondish scent one expects. But while testing this I walked into a hallway to get to the restroom in a store...and I couldn't figure out what smelled SO good. It, of course, was me...but this scent took me by surprise. It's an aerated, light, diffusive floral&vanilla. Like a light, custard yellow cream and the *lightest*, most featherweight white florals. It's as if the scent echoed off the wall back at me, and it clicked...it's better as a scent trail than it is up close. So I do appreciate this now, but I don't think it fits "Creme Brulee". Is this brand the Le Labo of gourmonds? Can you not ever bank of them smelling like their titles? Do they smell good nonetheless sometimes, even if it's not as advertised? It seems so.

the notes listed here on fragrantica (and frankly, even the name itself) do not even remotely match the scent profile of this fragrance. for reference, these are the notes on their website: Top Notes: Apricot, Roasted Almond, Black Plum Mid Notes: Midnight Iris, Jasmine Sambac, Violet Base Notes: Musk Clouds, Rum, Oak Chip had i bought this without smelling it first, i would've been disappointed expecting a creamy, lactonic vanilla fragrance. this is very powdery, particularly in the opening, which i'm normally not a big fan of. i think the fruity sweetness as well as the creaminess in the dry down prevent it from smelling like straight up baby powder, and mesh in a way that smells soft and comforting. i don't find this woody or boozy at all despite the base notes. this is strictly a bedtime scent for me-- totally fine, it's just another cheapie from marshall's.

I bought this because I was trying to find a dupe for marshmallow musk by irfe. Which, yeah sure it works for that. Not as much depth of course as a $300 perfume but it’s light, powdery, decent last especially if you spray your hair, its got the hint of caramel. I found this in a tjmaxx while my mom was in the hospital. I wasn’t coping her almost dying well at all and all I did that whole month was I kept going back to tjmaxx every few days for this. I bought about nine in total. My mom is fine now, I think fear and almost grief just manifests in strange ways and now I’ve got a new signature scent. Eight more to go through

I would say the opening does have a toasty quality to it, hence the roasted almond note, but it’s definitely very powdery. The scent becomes more floral as time goes on, maintaining the powdery touch. Dry down is much muskier and not as powdery, with a bit of a sweet woody touch. Don’t think the name makes much sense, but it’s a lovely scent either way.

I still like the smell, and it has a very cozy vibe (making it a good bedtime scent), but the name is veryyy misleading. Maybe I got a bad batch? It's sooo powdery and almost has a baby powder undertone. Very powdery and sweet upon first pray, but it dries down to this creamy milk scent that’s warm and comforting. I wear this behind my ears after I get out the shower so I can smell it better. Crème brûlée isn’t a good name option tho as this is nothing like the dessert, maybe if it had a caramel note? Leans towards latonic notes than anything, and lucky enough I like stuff like that. Overall good scent if you don’t want to smell like the dessert, like, at all.

I had a Creme brûlée lotion 20 years ago that this reminds me of so much. First sprays make it seem like it’s very light and fitting for its price point, but this scent kept getting my attention as time went by. My husband had sprayed it post-gym workout on his backpack and it lasted for hours! It’s noticeable without being too heavy, the dry down is really nice with this. Reminds me a bit of Commodity Milk.

Got this on discount at TJ Maxx and I like it for layering though as far as vanilla scents go this is nothing exciting compared to Nebras, Vanilla Potion, or the Bourbon Vanilla from mix bar. I won't repurchase but if you get a chance to pick it up for cheap I definitely have enjoyed having it in my collection.

this smells rlly toasty! its a little less vanilla sweet like other fragrances but it's got a powder-y ness to it that isnt all that bad its cute i feel like it smells a little androgynous @ first but it's grown sweeter 2 me a little marshmallow-y

a no brainer pretty scent. not complex. this is a throw on and go type of frag. A frag you would wear when you want to smell nice, but don't want to waste your more expensive frags on a nonchalant lazy kind of day.

i was surprised to see so much hate! i got mine from marshalls and im obsessed! to me it smells like fresh cream warm cashmere 😍😍😍 def not creme brulee smell but still sooo nice!!

I like it, smells like whipped cream and caramel; perfect to wear on a cold winter day. I'd recommend layering this with bare vanilla from Victoria's secret.

So delectable and amazing. A think caramel with an abroxan note to my nose! Amazing but so fleeting and only lasted 5 mins so I had to return it

I just received the EDP in the mail today and immediately tried it. I've been eyeing it for a long time, but had never sniffed it. I would describe my reaction as confused and disappointed, though not repulsed. I was expecting a straight up caramelized vanilla fragrance, but instead was met with a distinctively floral note at first spritz. As it dried down, I got more of the vanilla, and but the floral note never went away completely. I think what I'm smelling is an iris vanilla combo- floral, powdery, vanilla. There is no caramel note to my nose. If it wasn't called Creme Brulee, I may have liked it a bit better, but because I did not get to smell like creme brulee, I feel let down. The scent is not off-putting on its own- it's a pleasant enough floral-gourmand- just not what I was expecting or looking for. I just tried to scrub the remainder of it off in the shower, but I can still smell the vanilla sweetness, which I prefer to the floral-vanilla combo. I have owned and tried several other fragrances from this company, and I think the others have generally been more successful.

Picked up the body mist version of this at Marshalls and so wanted to love it. I have Commodity's Milk and it is my favorite scent, but I wanted to find some yummy options that were a bit sweeter and could maybe layer to boost the sweetness in Milk. I'm still new to fragrances but to me there is not much warmth or spice to this as other reviews have mentioned. It is a very cool scent, heavier on the cream. I don't get much if any caramel in it. When i layered it with Milk my husband said I smell like those chocolates that have a hidden raspberry in them (which neither of us particularly enjoy lol). The initial spray of this was ALL alcohol (could be due to it being a body mist like I said, and not the EDP) and the dry down was nicer, but I think it's just a bit too cool of a vanilla for me. I was really hoping for more of the caramel but it just isn't there for me. I will probably give it a bit and try it on its own again and see if it improves. Overall though I think I just prefer warmer scents and sadly this just doesn't work for me

This was a blind buy that I got at a discounted price, and I honestly wouldn't have picked it but I really enjoy Le Monde Gourmand's Chai Eclair. I thought it would be much more caramely and sugary, but when you first spray it it's all baby powder and clean diapers which is really off-putting. After it dries down it softens into a sweeter milky scent, but the powderiness is really not what I expected from a creme brulee fragrance. I'm too paranoid about smelling like diapers to wear this out, I wouldn't recommend blind buying it.

This is in every discount store near my house and smells like it. I tried a few sprays after seeing it everywhere. It’s inoffensive, just kind of generically sweet, I guess kind of powdery and milky if I delve into it. I was hoping with a crème brûlée scent it would have a layer of smoke and caramel, but it does not. Dissipated completely within an hour.

Smells like it was made with the cheapest of ingredients. Ive smelt way better cheapies, didn't smell anything like a creme brulee

I blind bought this at TK Maxx after looking around the website for a lactonic fragrance to layer with. The notes on this website do not match the notes on the perfume’s official website. Most of the comments are saying it’s very powdery but on my skin I smell a lot of Oak and Toasted Almond. I tried this scent on my sister as her skin makes scents a bit sweeter and it’s a similar result. It dries down into a sweet powdery vanilla. However, the perfume should smell beautifully from the first initial spray to the dry down. Maybe the scent could be improved if sits for while which I might just do. (Edit: I just used it for my scent diffuser and it smells like vanilla since it was still horrible as a perfume) Official Notes on the Website - Top Notes: Apricot, Toasted Almond, Plum Middle Notes: Midnight Iris, Jasmine Sambac, Violet Base Notes: Musk Clouds, Rum, Oak Chip Personally not a fan of the perfume. Huh? Why is this powdery and spicy? I searched forever for this and finally found 3 bottles at 2 different TJ Maxx stores and blindly bought them. I thought maybe 1 was mislabeled but all three are powder spice bombs. I don’t get anything other than sweet, intense pepper and baby powder. Wow, so disappointing!

This fragrance was a bit disappointing. Initially the scent is strong but it’s VERY powdery which i don’t like. The scent doesn’t last too long and settles after a while to a faint vanilla. Overall, it’s not my favorite but if you’re a fan of baby powder this is very affordable and might be for you.

This is VERY powdery. It was too powdery and too sweet for me—smells like baby powder mixed with BBW's warm vanilla sugar. It also has too strong of a scent to layer with my other perfumes, so it just sits on my dresser.

Really wanted to like this but it was sickeningly powdery on my skin and I got very little sweetness or vanilla. Had to wash it off as I don't enjoy powder scents on my skin.

Straight up BABY POWDER. And not a soft sweet powdery, just straight up spicy!!! NO CARAMEL, NO VANILLA, NO WHIPPED CREAM. The ONLY note in this is spicy baby powder. Yuck

This is nothing like Creme brulee. It smells like baby powder and nothing else! It's not gourmand, I don't smell caramel or vanilla at all. This was very disappointing.
