Fleur de Blonde

a fragrance i've purchased without needing to give it much thought, which is rare for me. something indescribably attractive about it. my first ever voluntary skin scent hahah. it does genuinely make you want to bury your face in someone's neck, or that same feeling, i don't know if you've ever gotten that way about someone's skin scent. it is that sort of addictive. it smells like attraction. the performance is not the best. "clean, floral" is a superficial but accurate description, the highlight however must be the ambrette. p.s. i purchased this fragrance in march. we are now in early june where the weather is warmer, i have owned this scent for some time and it's been resting on my counter. this is not a skin scent anymore. it radiates beautifully and lasts a powerful while. i still can't get enough of the bottle, such a perfect size and shape for a 30ml. i've read somewhere the fragrance is called fleur de blonde because it "has the radiant energy of a blonde woman." i have to admit, it does smell like the aura of blonde, i don't quite know how to verbalize it, in my mind's eye i can just see long strands of straight blonde hair flowing around as someone joyfully moves, talks, laughs. i absolutely hate that. i have dark, curly hair, and really want to feel like this scent is mine, the way i've been thinking of this scent, have reached for it without indecision when i first discovered it, as you get the feeling of "meant to be" from a fragrance, i feel like the name is the one thing that will now forever hold it one step away from me.

Hot damn this is good. It’s somehow a bit mouthwatering though there is no fruit listed in the notes. I bought it in the deep Texas summer when every single fragrance I had was too sticky and I wanted something super light- but sensual. However, I could see this working year round/signature. The musk is done right and when I first smelled my wrist I had the thought “Ooh I want to make out with myself.” It’s just that clean, fem, effortless kind of sexy. I don’t find this very floral in the typical way, it’s more dewy. Much in the vein of Glossier You indeed. Longevity is sadly short, but it’s so affordable and easy to carry with for resprays. This one gets compliments for sure. PS it doesn't have that carrot/savory moment of radiant nectar, and pairs well layered with God is a Woman body products for longevity.

Got this as an alternative to Glossier You; I really liked You but when it dried down on me, it smelled very geriatric and I was sad about that. I found this at Urban Outfitters and fell in love! It's a little sweeter than You, but still has that clean muskiness to it. It's almost like You's cute, younger sister. I think this could be good all year round depending on what you layer it with. I do wish it lasted a little longer, but that's given with the price. Hopefully, the longevity improves as it sits over time. Definitely going to be my signature scent for a while! EDIT: I figured it out! If you want this to smell more like Glossier You without the weird undertone, layer it with the Mix:Bar Cloud Musk body spray from Target! They are heavenly together.

I just got this fragrance, but it is almost an exact dupe for Glossier You. I’m completely obsessed with You, but not obsessed with the price tag for how often I want to wear it. Fleur de Blonde is suuuuuch a perfect dupe for everyday wear, so I can save You for special occasions. Of all the dupes I’ve tried/smelled for You (Ind.’s Skin, Mix Bar’s Cloud Musk, etc), this is by far the closest. For the price, you really can’t beat this fragrance. It’s so clean, light, airy, and the perfect “your skin but better” scent in my opinion. The violet comes through immediately, but the dry down has such a nice musky, almost vanilla scent. TL;DR: if you want to smell fresh, clean, and slightly sweet, this is the scent for you.

I love this so much!!! It’s a lot like Glossier You imo, but definitely without any pink pepper. It’s kinda sweet at first, almost like the violet note is a bit more of a candied violet. But then it’s just this really beautiful musk! It’s not a sharp musk at all. And I really thought this wasn’t going to have any longevity on me at all bc of all the reviews, but it actually stuck to my skin for hours and hours!!! Now I don’t think it’s a super loud projecting scent, but if you’re wearing this and someone hugs you, they will definitely smell it! This scent is super layer-able too, which is a plus. A solid “cheapie” in my book.

I mean yeah. I'll echo what everyone else has said. It smells like if you mixed Glossier You with any of the mentioned Pear fragrances, like Ellis Brooklyn Sweet or God Is A Woman. Even a less sweet version of Orris 22. It's more refined and less fruity than God Is A Woman which has a strange synthetic note to me. It's also not as sweet as Sweet. Has that pencil shaving addicting base that reminds me of You. Love it. A little redundant for my collection. Edit to add. I've sold God is a Woman and am planning on selling Orris 22 in favor of this. I like this one better.

I agree very much with what previous people have written. I certainly can smell banana laffy taffy. Sparkling, candied violet and pear. However, I'm not someone who likes sweet scents and this isn't overly sweet. It's delicate and well balanced. Fairy garden like scent. I got this in hopes I could layer it with sonic flower and make that last longer/save me some money. And I was right. They mix beautifully together! Sonic flower gives the combination the little carrot seed/pepper zest that I prefer in the mix. Really great price and pretty scent. I like it

the most easy to wear, beautiful scent. It's slightly got this smoky sweetness and a musky slighty spicy touch from the ambrette, but it's so airy. the opening definitely smells like pear; a very sweet, juicy pear which becomes softened by the muskiness. the musky drydown smells like a very clean scent. the type where you just smell good and people don't think it's a perfume, but they just assume you smell really good. no regrets in purchasing this one. just wish it came out in a bigger size. easy grab, no brainer sotd. always a staple for me.

it's similar to glossier you; very musky and a definitely a skin scent, with a sweet edge. for some reason though, to me there is a very distinct smell of cinnamon and apple shampoo, almost like an apple cider. it’s really odd because i have no idea where i’m smelling the heavy autumnal gourmand, but i like it anyways. it's weird but it's really addictive and usually my go to if i don't know what to wear. inoffensive, mildly sweet, easy, but not deadpan.

Glossier You, but without the pepper and a tad sweeter. EDIT: This has quickly become one of my favorites in my personal collection. The performance is incredibly long-lasting, so I get whiffs of it throughout the day. Whereas Glossier You is the freshly-washed wet hair kind of musky, Fleur de Blonde is the dry shampoo kind of musky that is a little fizzy to my nose. Whenever the scent I last sprayed has worn off, I almost always grab this bottle :)

I’m genuinely surprised that so many people find Fleur de Blonde closer to Radiant Nectar than to Sparkling Sugar: when I tested them side by side, they were practically identical. I can sense the Glossier DNA in this, but it’s much sweeter and more sparkly, which I absolutely adore. It also reminds me of God Is a Woman, though it feels smoother, more pleasant, and delicious. My current favorite perfume!

Fleur de Blonde is airy, delicate, clean and feminine. She dries down to a skin scent with hints of violet and pear. FdB pairs beautifully with other violet/pear favorites: Byredo Mojave Ghost (pear/violet/cedar), Le Labo Another 13 (pear/moss/amber), Byredo Sundazed (citrus/violet/cotton candy), and Marc Jacobs Daisy (strawberry/violet/fresh musk). I hope Le Monde Gourmand never stops making her 🥰

love this scent! it’s sweet and pleasant and i do think of it as a skin scent. it definitely reminds me of glossier you but i like this better. i used to wear this to work every day a few years ago and i never got any complaints (unlike when i wore chai epice once by the same brand lol). also, reviews for this are all over the place. burberry goddess!? patchouli note?!! you guys are tripping.

This is one of my all time favorite perfumes that I own. And for such a good price! I was so shocked when I first smelled how good this was. It’s like it was made for me. It’s everything I love in a fragrance. Warm and subtle, not overpowering but still get compliments on it. The amber works perfectly on my skin chemistry. This will forever and always be my soulmate perfume<3

One of my favourite every day scents! Makes you smell fresh and clean and pretty. The muskiness makes it so it can be unisex but it’s slightly more feminine leaning. I adore this fragrance but it’s not very long lasting, I wear it day to day- running errands or things like the movies or the mall, even the gym. It smells SO good, you will get compliments.

this is so special. it's you, but more floral and powdery and sweet. i definitely get the pear comparisons, though it's more juicy than crisp. i wouldn't necessarily call this a skin scent, but its poor longevity and sillage sort of make it one. for the affordability, though, it's hard to beat. beautiful easy reach! o( ❛ᴗ❛ )o

Fleur de Blonde smells similar to the drydown of Glossier You, but sweeter. I actually prefer this to You (I tend to dislike peppery fragrances, though). Also similar to Studied by Liis, which has a brighter, sparkling pear note. Fleur de Blonde doesn't have a pear note listed, but I definitely smell pear in it.

A beautiful, light, radiant scent perfect for everyday wear. Paired with the hair mist and body oil, you’re cocooned in an elevated “your skin but better” scent bubble. The Iris is faint but constant, lending a flirty femininity perfect for warm weather days.

Just picked it up at Urban Outfitters, surprised no-one has mentioned how much this smells like Burberry Goddess. I really like it but have doubts about its longevity....might need to find the right oil to layer with

This is the best alternative for Glossier You/Another 13/etc. for people who hate ambroxan. It has that same sexy sweet-musk scent but without the awful base note.

If glossier you and GIAW had a baby😍 this is amazing but the longevity is terrible on me I wish i could smell it more than 30 minutes.

This smells almost exactly like Glossier You Fleur. I love them both, but if you have one you don’t need the other.

I read about this fragrance on Byrdie, and I ordered it from the Urban Outfitters site last winter as a blind buy. I like it for cool/cold weather; to me, it's a little too musky for warmer weather. It's a little on the sweet side, I assume from the musk mallow, which is normally not my thing. But it's well blended, and I really enjoy the violet note. It was definitely a successful blind buy! And a good value at...I think it was under $25...for an ounce of EDP spray. It lasts quite well on my dry, perfume eating skin. I'd call it a good office fragrance because of the moderate silage. I don't know if it's a good gift though unless you know the recipient well. The violet note is pretty strong (on me anyway), and my impression is that not everyone likes violet. 10/10. Would I buy again? Maybe, after I've used up other fragrances!

I tried out Fleur de Blonde in my never ending search for a Glossier You dupe and while this one is close, it doesn’t quite hit the mark for me. On first spray this smells very clean and musky sweet with a juicy pear smell even though this doesn’t have any fruit notes, but I don’t get any of the peppery woody goodness that I love so much in You. In fact I actually think this smells almost identical to Sparkling Sugar from Clean. Also extremely similar to Radiant Nectar from Clean and Studied by Liis. Longevity wise this only lasts an hour or two and needs to be reapplied throughout the day, though that kindof makes sense at such an affordable price point. It’s not my favorite scent ever, but my boyfriend always compliments me when I wear this and it was inexpensive so I’ll hang onto it. 7/10

This is my first delve into Le Monde Gourmand perfume. I tested all of them and none were very interesting to me. I love powdery skin scents and this falls directly into that category with its notes of violet and ambrette + musk. I watched a TikTok video claiming that "THIS was the best skin scent" just before my annual flight to the US and at $25, I said why not? I own many skin scents like Glossier You, Fleur de Peau, Romance d'Iris... but there is something in Fleur de Blonde that disturbs my olfactory senses...there is a generic sweet opening that gives it a fresh generic sweetness. Conclusion; it smells like an indistinct fruity musky, slightly floral generic skin scent. It's pleasant enough... Kind of run of the mill

Got this as an alternative to glossier you as my pre reformulation glossier you bottle is starting to run low and I really do feel like it’s an 85% dupe. It’s not as pepper-y and opens up sweeter but the dry down is incredibly similar and I don’t see myself ever buying You again when I have this. I know there’s no pink pepper note in this, but the dry down still has some of that pepperiness to me that is iconic in You that I really love but the opening is less peppery and as I said, sweeter, which I actually enjoy the sweeter opening because it makes the fragrance feel exceptionally balanced. This is a winner and an insane deal even at full price.

got this as i saw lots of ppl saying that it's a dupe of glossier you, and they were definitely right! i spritz it once on my wrist and it is pretty strong, while the tester for Glossier You was very much a skin scent that went away after 5 minutes. I'm getting a lot of powdery, slightly peppery sweetness. i also purchased this from Urban Outfitters and apparently it was back ordered for a hot minute, which explained why my order took forever to ship out. when it finally arrived i was surprised to see two bottles of this in my package!

I mean this positively: juicy laundry. If you love big perfumes that get compliments this is not it. it's super subtle and overspraying blew out the juicy floral notes and left behind shampooey musk. Despite all this I absolutely LOVE this fragrance. It's a perfect scent for working in my home office, a personal bubble of nice fresh fruity goodness that I can refresh if it fades or layer something stronger on if I leave the house. I've worn it basically every day this summer and when the bottle is gone I'm going to buy the larger one.

I originally purchased because of the Glossier You comparison and was expecting a skin scent, but I don't really agree with that sentiment; this is more of a sweet and juicy pear opening (compared to the more peppery opening of Glossier You) to me and is a closer comparison to Studied by Liis, which I was pleasantly surprised about since I also wanted to purchase that fragrance. A beautiful sweet and juicy fragrance for the spring, though I can see this being a little too sweet for some and potentially cloying in the hotter months.

I don't really get the listed notes much at all, besides maybe a bit of violet. Initially it's sweet and citrusy. I can't put my finger on the exact notes I'm smelling, but not what's listed, that's for sure. As it dries down it's a little bit vanilla and almost amber, while being a little fruity. There's a slight floral hint, which may be the violet, but it's not very specific smelling. The whole fragrance is pretty vague, but it is nice. It's light and airy. Very subtle. I do like it, but it's not a favorite.

As many have said, this is a less synthetic version of god is a woman. I also think it smells very similar to radiant nectar, orris 22, and ellis Brooklyn sweet. radiant nectar macerates so quickly and smells awful. Orris 22 does not last on me. So of all of those, I have preferred Sweet. I'm very curious how the sillage and lasting power of this compares to sweet. But I would pick this over the others. I also do not think this smells anything like you or sonic flower.

This is just apple & pear juice as a perfume. I wanted to try this for the longest time and I was expecting something completely different. Something more watery, airy, soft especially with the violet note, but I got blasted with organic zero added sugar juice box. It's fun! I would wear this on a more warm spring beach day or summer night dining out. It's inoffensive, simple, 🧃juicy🧃.

Fleur De Blonde is a very specific sweet floral. It's so different o any other flower I own and I do really enjoy it but I use it for specific outfits or occasions that call for it. It's a stunning scent that's not powdery but reminds of perfume I do recommend for flower lovers but I do recommend going down to Urban Outfitters and smelling it first.

A sweeter version of You. Definitely agree w everyone that’s saying they smell pear. It lasts a long time on my skin, and it projects a lot more than You, imo. I bought Fleur before I bought You, and while I prefer how You smells on me (haha), Fleur is still a very good buy (esp since it costs like $20!).

Kind of similar to Glossier You in the dry down, but missing the freshness and creaminess that You has from the ambroxan. The opening smells like a sweet pear on me. If you want something like Glossier You but more sweet and way less peppery, then I would recommend this.

There is just not enough of any fragrance in this one. It smells ok for about 10 seconds and then it's gone. I would not buy a full bottle of this.

Smells like white wine, sweet fermented fruit :). Little bit of mildew on the dry down though, kind of strange but not gross. Longevity is poor.

So love this one. To me it’s more like god is a woman than You or anything else with a similar profile. It’s as though this is the higher end original and GIAW is a dupe of it. It’s a better, stronger, smoother and higher quality version. GIAW is always kind of erratic and unstable on me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it’s too juvenile and overly sweet, sometimes it breaks down and turns sour and peppery. I’ve stopped wearing it in fact because I never know what it’s going to do once it’s on. Not the case with Fleur de Blonde. It remains smooth and consistent the whole way through and lasts several hours, but the dry down actually smells more like You. It becomes more simple, sweet and smooth, quieter. It also layers extremely well with a dupe I have of Tom Fords Oud Wood- like they were made for each other. Delightful.

It is a very sparkling scent. The opening reminds me of soda, like a grape infused Sprite dilutted with water. I understand the Glossier references but it's honestly not that sweeter. It's not fruity or even really really sweet, it feels very grounded and I'd say even zesty. The drydown reminds me soo much of Phlur Missing Person, definetly a clean inoffensive somewhat musky scent but I think I prefer my Missing Person Bodyoil so I'll return this. It's not very groundbreaking but if you're looking for a cheaper Glossier dupe that dries down like Missing Person mixed with zesty sparkling water this one is pretty good and also quite unisex. Not in a masculine cologne kind of way but a truly unisex way for everyone that likes my skin but better fragrances.

This fragrance starts off with sweet, fizzy pear champagne - reminiscent of the bubbly fruit juices you buy kids for New Years Eve. It settles into a soft, candied violet but the pear note lingers for me. I'm curious to see how I feel about this fragrance over time - it's more youthful than I expected from the notes. If you're looking for Glossier You, Fleur de Blonde may disappoint as it leans more fizzy than peppery. EDIT: I take back what I said about Glossier You. I just tried the reformulation and they smell very much alike.

This is weird. I get strong patchouli and smells quite like Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, which I dislike. But this perfume is not supposed to contain patchouli. I had to double check the bottle I received, even suspecting perhaps there was a mixup in labeling. I have an ambrette-dominant perfume that I love. And the notes listed for this sounded lovely and made me curious enough to buy it without testing it first. I will let it sit for awhile and revisit at a later date.

meeker than glossier you, lacking the warmth and body of what it's trying to dupe. more fruit. laughable performance. side note: who remembers when these tiny 1 ounce urban outfitters in-house scents were 18 bucks? 28 is just offensive.

This definitely in the same family as Glossier You, but smells a bit more aromatic. It smells good, but also kind of like celery?

This is a sweet, musky skin scent, i don’t get any floral notes it’s almost sickly sweet and doesn’t last long at all

I am passing this one along to my friend that loves soft clean skin scents. It is nice smells like almost a twin of Glossier You for ALOT less. This lasted about 30min on my skin but to be fair my skin was dry and unmoisturized which will hurt the longevity performance but still not my cup of tea being so soft. If you are into clean skin musky barely there scents like Glossier and Another 13 then this one is definitely worth your time to try it out.

Maybe I’m realizing that I don’t like violet and/or musky scents because I have yet to find one that I love. There is something about this that throws me off - it smells clean, slightly sweet, but a little funky. Maybe my nose is just sensitive to musky scents. I can see the resemblance to glossier you in that it’s a skin scent but it smells a little cheap/synthetic to me. Still hoping if I keep using, it will suddenly grow on me
