Macaron Rosé

Following @blackcat02 's example and leaving a review for Rose Chocolat here since Fragrantica doesn't have it in the database yet. If you like "sweet gourmand", powdery, creamy, "lactonic baby wipe" scents, you'll love Rose Chocolat! It's like kissing the top of a baby's head, wearing a fluffy pink sweater, cuddling a kitten. Purity, sweetness, creamy and clean. To my nose, the break down is: - "watery/ozonic" (35%) - powdery "baby wipe" (15%) - creamy/lactonic (15%) - Dove soap (15%) - white chocolate (10%) - sweet musk (10%) The liquid is a beautiful semi-opaque blush pink too. It also lasts a LONG time - throughout the day and even overnight! This is one of my top 5 favorite "clean/soapy" scents - hoping they add it to the database soon so I can add it to my "scent wardrobe". P.S. For more sweet gourmand + soapy + "lactonic baby wipe", check out BBW's Golden Honey Praline mist (lasts as long as a perfume IMO!)

For me this perfume reads pretty much just straight rose, which is exactly why I love it. Too often, for me, rose fragrances are layered with other florals, or ouds, or musks that hide enough of the rose in the perfume that they no longer read rose to me. Or they become too powdery and iris-y that they travel into baby powder realms. This just smells like anointing yourself in rose water, with maybe the hint of sweet to give just the edge of turkish delight. I mostly use my roller ball for a nice bedtime scent, because its gentle and not overpowering, yet luscious enough that it feels like a treat.

I don't understand all the hate this is getting. Is it because it's cheap? It's actually pretty nice, IMO. I see it as a good attempt at striking the balance between lychee and rose so that it's neither too lychee-sweet nor too rose-serious. There's a nice green element that keeps it from getting too boring or too feminine. Pretty crowd pleasing and refreshing. Great for after the shower. Longevity is good but projection is weak, which I don't mind.

This is linear but so lovely. The only other rose scent I can tolerate is Le Labo's Rose 31, which is a more dirty / earthy rendition of rose. If you're looking for a fresh, crisp, just-washed rose scent that avoids the potpourri / grandmotherly pitfalls of typical rose fragrances, then this one is for you. I'm 36 and I rock this one on summer days.

like the first bite in to a turkish delight you get from the euro mart. cloyingly sweet, noseburning soap art first, and then it devolves into a mellow sugary rose. longevity in skin is meh, but lasts forever on hair and clothes. wore it religiously during a mental breakdown so it's kinda nostalgic to me now.
