Thé Matcha

This is a really lovely, light and fresh scent. Very citrus-forward from the start, it feels like a blend of several citrus fruits layered with green tea and soft herbal notes through the middle. As it dries down, it turns into a clean, cosy musk that melts into my skin in a really pleasant way. That said, and I agree with what a lot of other reviews mention, this isn’t the most green tea centric fragrance out there. If you’re looking for something bold, deep or strongly focused on green tea, this isn’t it. The tea here is more of a supporting character rather than the star of the show. Longevity is also quite short, which is honestly expected for a fresh, citrusy scent. I personally don’t mind reapplying, but the bottles are pretty small, so they do run out quickly. Because of that, I tend to use it mostly at night, especially after my evening shower. Yes, there is a slight clean, almost freshly washed or cleaning product vibe at first, but nothing harsh or astringent. Very quickly, it softens into something gently sweet but never cloying and blends beautifully with the skin. In my personal opinion, this one is completely unisex and sits perfectly in the middle of the gender neutral spectrum. Easy, comforting, and very wearable.

This is a bit more fruity than I expected, but I really like it. It's like a pear green tea. It's incredibly bright and fresh. Very uplifting and clean. It feels very cheerful. I got it in a trio set that was very affordable, so I think this is a very good deal. Even on it's own, these are $20-$25 for a 100ml bottle, so it's really an easy buy. I think this would be good as a blind buy as it's so refreshing, it's hard to imagine it offending anyone or mixing poorly with your skin chemistry. I don't know why this is considered a men's fragrance though, it's more feminine leaning unisex. I think it would be nice for a man, but I definitely wouldn't call this a men specific scent.

I resent that this is marketed “for men”, this is quite unisex. opens with a breath of fresh green tea, light, crisp, and gently invigorating, like a quiet morning with a warm cup in hand. It does not smell like matcha whatsoever, but it is a beautiful scent. I do find it ultra-feminine. I read it's supposed to be masculine. Can't imagine a dude pulling this one off

Thé Matcha has survived many declutters, and yet I have tried to declutter it many times, mainly because I keep reaching for it expecting it to fit in with the many facets of my tea obsession: a cool and refreshing tea (like Bvlgari Green Tea or Elizabeth Arden Green Tea), a milky and powdery tea (like Replica Tea Escape) or a sensuous, woody tea (like Bvlgari Red Tea). And it is none of these things! And yet it keeps surviving my declutters because I like it every time I spray it on! How does this keep happening? I've realized the problem is the name; it's not a matcha (let alone tea) scent at all! I want bitterness, powder, a milky, warm base when I think of matcha. Or for a green tea, at least something earthier and more bitter. This is a zesty, ripe wedge of lime in a mojito drink, that turns from effervescent to a more calming and powdery green in about 10-20 minutes. But it's not cheap/alcohol smelling nor sharp -- it's anchored by a smooth amber base, freesias and orange blossoms. Where it lacks in longevity (it lasts about 2 hours on me) it makes up for by being a perfectly quality, well-formulated scent. It reminds me a lot of a slightly sweeter Versace Versense, without the gentle kick of cardamom spice and soapiness. I think this is a very safe blind buy for a young lady, who has more of a natural/minimalist style, and prefers not to wear the candy sweet gourmands. This would also make a nice office everyday scent for someone who wants to smell citrusy fresh, but still put together and feminine. Not as rugged or provocative as the CK One girl, she valets the car and wears strands of thin dainty jewels on her designer white t-shirt.

Oof I have mixed feelings about this one. First of all, I have no idea why this is designated for men...this is absolutely a feminine perfume. It’s a citrus floral green tea that is almost exactly a replica of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, except The Matcha is a little heavier on the lemon. The opening is almost pure citrus and the green tea appears as it dries down. Matcha is a misleading name for this because real matcha is powdery and grassy. This is much more fresh and fruity smelling. Also, I can’t decide on its longevity, because sometimes it’s disappeared from my skin as soon as I’ve sprayed it and other times it’s lingered on me all day. My dad got a whiff of it and said it smells like a perfume from the 80s he couldn’t remember the name of, but he liked it. This is a pleasing and inoffensive fragrance overall, and I don’t regret blind buying but also probably wouldn’t restock.

On my quests for my favorite green tea scent, I came across Thé Matcha. It’s nice, bright and citrusy. It’s not a realistic green tea smell, but it’s still super pleasant. My biggest comparison to it so far is the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea as other reviewers have noted. This one is a lot punchier, though, I think the Freesia note really comes through. This one smells more tangy and juicy where Elizabeth Arden’s smells more subtle and clean. It doesn’t last especially long, so multiple sprays are a must. My husband prefers this smell on me over the Elizabeth Arden one, but I think both are great in their own ways, even while still being so similar. Personally I love wearing this after a shower and before bed. It is a very bright smell though, so it’s also very suitable as a morning/work smell.

I definitely would classify this perfume as a women's perfume. I did a blind buy, don't regret it at all. It's a great value buy--$18 for an ounce. I was looking for an easy daytime perfume that wouldn't be too heavy and it has all the scent notes that I like. The only time I think this could be an appropriate night time perfume would be somewhere tropical. It makes me think of Mexico, Brazil, or the Caribbean at night. It's clean, but sweeter smelling than I expected with notes of honey and amber at the base. Definitely a good casual perfume, appropriate for the office, and pretty neutral/inoffensive if not overdone.

Immediate notes are very very strong citrus and green tea, completely absent of any matcha, but still vaguely tea-adjacent. Initial skin test is pleasant and fresh, but too much can very quickly overwhelm the senses with a very intense cleaner smell. This is the kind of perfume that is good for one or two sprays when going out in the Spring or Summer as it's cooling and fresh, and lasts a good 3-4 hours. If your goal is to find a matcha, or tea-centered perfume, this is likely not going to satisfy. It leans far too heavily into the citrus and can come off like an air freshener, or lemon-scenter cleaner.

Again, this isn’t what I expected at all. Beautiful green tea that’s feminized with the freesia and amber. Sometimes green tea can be really masculine, other times it’s overly sweet. This is very fresh and clean and WOW is it strong! I would layer this with vanilla because I could stand it to be a tiny bit sweeter, maybe even coconut to give it a tropical feel. Very different from the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea fragrances which I find to be too sweet and melon-y. Very pretty and very strong.

This fragrance was given to me as a gift and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it because it’s not scent profile I usually lean towards. This is a clean, citrusy fragrance with a hint of green tea on the dry-down. I always received tons of compliments when wearing it! It has moderate lasting power and you definitely won’t smell “basic”. That said, it’s not very complex and is a bit too young for me these days. I used up the whole bottle, but I won’t be repurchasing.

Definitely a women's perfume. It smells like a fancy spa - fresh, clean, sweet and calming. It lasts for 3-4 hours on me and is a great value for money. It's a perfect casual scent; not too heavy or cloying, perfect for school, the office, gym, or hanging around the house. Most in the line are worth checking out and would make good gifts, especially for someone graduating from body spray to perfume. I own several and none are disappointing!

Smells absolutely nothing like matcha, or even green tea. That said, for the price point (£20 at ASOS at time of writing) this is a really nice citrus fragrance. For me, it starts out quite sweet, almost lemon-sherbet like, but fades down into something a lot cleaner and fresher, and it lasts a decent amount of time - I sprayed some on at midday, and I could still smell it well into the evening.

Well, it doesn't smell like matcha. But it smells like looking at matcha across a shop counter. It is simple and citrusy and inoffensive. It smells refreshing and doesn't jump out too much, like it could easily be mistaken for the wearer's soap or shampoo. That's an issue if you want a scent that leaves an impression, but I think this one's utility lies in its straightforwardness.

Mainly a sweet citrus, with a sweet green tea note, no matcha to be found here. Calming, relaxing, refreshing. No idea why it's marketed as "for men", it's totally unisex. Maybe it smells slightly more fresh masculine than Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea? I was hoping for more of a powdery matcha scent, but this is definitely your standard citrus green tea. Pleasant though!

Fresh-out-of-the-shower, tea-tree-oil-fresh kind of clean. Thé Matcha is a fun and fresh citrus scent unlike anything else I’ve ever worn. I ran out months ago and still can’t stop thinking about her—I’m experiencing withdrawals. It reminds me of the scent of soap that lingers behind in a bathroom after someone takes a shower: decidedly fresh and familiar.

I like this! A very gentle green and citrusy perfume. It is sweeter than I thought which makes it a bit more feminine, but I don’t mind that all. I enjoy using this more like a body spray since Le Monde Gourmand scents don’t usually like that long. I’ll probably use it more in the Spring and Summer.

i like the dry down a lot. i wish it was stronger on the green tea note. It smells more like bergamot. but its a le monde gourmand perfume. you really cant ask for too much. nice and cheap for what its offering. its a real perfume, just not a spectacular one. glad i have it in my arsenal.

i bought this perfume back when i was a little baby girl and i didnt even know what 'matcha' was. if you had asked me what this scent was, i wouldve told you melon rinds. its not green tea at all, but it is quite nice

This is a very safe perfume. It smells clean and citrusy. I have to agree with everyone that I wish there was a more earthy herbal not and less citrus. When I think of green tea I don't automatically think of lemon.
