20 Bourbon Brûlée

I have been following Stephanie for many years and I totally trust her opinions when it comes to beauty. I’ve purchased Orris, Vanilla Nera (love both) and now Bourbon Brûlée. For Bourbon Brûlée, this was not a love at first sniff. It felt a bit different from what I was expecting. The opening has a burst of freshness from what I’m assuming is the bergamot. Then as it dries down, it gets progressively warmer and sweeter. After a couple days of testing, it immediately turned into a love! This is a very classy and elegant take on a sweet fragrance. It’s woody and smoky without being overly so. It’s sweet but not too sweet. If you are looking for an edible gourmand like Escapade Gourmande, this is not that. This is elevated. Way better and more interesting than By the Fireplace/Jazz Club. It feels totally modern. It’s really a perfect fall and winter fragrance. I don’t have anything like this in my collection and I’ve been reaching for it ever since it arrived!

This scent is absolutely beautiful! Its incredibly sensual and intoxicating. Upon first smell I became very emotional as it elicited pure comfort and nostalgia. I envision a warm dimlit cabin in the mountains with a fireplace burning outside, sipping drinks with loved ones under warm blankets. I will say it is a bit one dimensional. Unlike other scents where you can really detect each specific note, this is kind of an amalgamation, but a beautiful and enveloping one. Its sweet, warm, boozy, elegant, and a little powdery. I mainly get the coconut milk, vanilla, plum, tonka, and whiskey. The longevity is INSANE! literally can still smell it on skin after 24 hours. At least 5 hours of enveloping projection. Also pretty reasonably priced.

One thing I have learnt about myself recently is that I absolutely love a good boozy note in a fragrance. I am not a whisky fan generally (I actually hate the taste of it) but it smells incredible here and is perfectly blended with the caramel and vanilla, which are the notes I pick out the most. And that vanilla drydown! It creates the most delicious, mouth-watering scent bubble. I can't believe this isn't more talked about. Not that I am complaining though - I will be gatekeeping this bad boy.

Sweet but not cloying. Well blended. Reminds me of Vanilla 28 but replace patchouli with whiskey. The whiskey is subtle and provides depth. It also has an addicting freshly baked bread-like note to my nose which I love! I don’t get any noticeable plum or woody notes.

This was a successful blind buy that I got myself for Christmas. It very quickly became one of my faves. It reminds me of Kayali Vanilla 28 and nishane ani mixed together. Sweet and slightly boozy with a lot of depth. Lasts all day on skin and clothes.

It’s amazing , the reviewer below is right . It does smell like dandelion and burdock which is a drink here in the uk . I really love the scent profile on this . Don’t have anything like this in my collection

So fun and so yummy. Definitely strong but it's a good strong. I can smell the whiskey in there and I love it. Especially since I am a dark Liquor kinda girl. Tehe anywho she's a love for me.

A surprising great gourmand find. Vanilla and bourbon are beautiful together. Moderate projection and soft sillage.

This is my favorite from the line. It's a pretty, boozy vanilla that does down to a sweet Musk.

i love this! it’s much softer than i imagined it being and is the perfect combination of sweet and boozy without being too one note or loud. this is the boozy fragrance you can wear all fall and winter long without having to worry about the occasion not being appropriate or it being nauseatingly strong. highly considering a full bottle

Beautiful fragrance for autumn/cozy winter vibes. Strong bourbon vanilla opening, tonka and caramel with whiskey lingers. Best paired with an oil like vanilla to last longer. Only negative for me is it does not last long at all, maybe 1-2 hours. Turmeric latte by Lush is very similar, but with more spice.

If you like sweet, slightly boozy vanilla, this is your friend. Beware of a licorice-like opening (I think plum + cedar + booze = licorice). I have had it for more than a year, I think my taste evolved; I probably wouldn't repurchase, but it is good value for the price

Navitus Divine Aphrodisiac + Vivamor Ultimate Aphrodisiac = 20 Bourbon Brulee with some bitterness/harshness (from the whiskey & cypriol). Nothing more, nothing less. Exactly those 2 combined and I own both. Very very gourmand.

This one is interesting and different from the other fragrances I have, esp as it’s the only one that has a whiskey note. To me this is warm, a little spicy, sweet and intoxicating. It’s interesting and can’t wait to wear it!

This is a heady, boozy/sweet scent. It's a window into a night out in a dark bar, one that serves an excellent martini, while you sit in the corner and write.

As someone who is VERY picky when it comes to anything remotely in the gourmand family, I really like this from Ledda. I’m a huge fan of 22 Orris and this is the first release I’ve really liked: Vanilla Nera and Isla Coco were not for me. I was craving something woodsy-vanilla-y when it got colder, and even though the name Bourbon Brûlée communicated to me it was gonna be sweeter than I like, the notes had me interested. It’s sweet on the opening, but it quickly softens and warms to something smokier. I see why it’s being compared to By the Fireplace (which I wouldn’t wear but enjoy). So for the rarely-finds-a-vanilla-boozy-fragrance-id-want-to-wear person, I really like this.

I only own one Ledda scent so far (Isla Coco) and expected this to be another skin scent, but sadly I don’t even get that from Bourbon Brûlée. This is such a gorgeous scent for the brief moments I was able to smell it. It’s such a shame, but it doesn’t last (on me anyway). It’s opens with a really delicious vanilla and bourbon. It’s thick, a bit boozy, sweet, syrupy, thick, indulgent and comforting... but just a few seconds later and this is literally gone completely. So disappointing. Maybe it’s my sense of smell, but I just cant detect it at all. The price of Ledda perfumes are so cheap, it would have been such a great buy if I could just smell it longer.

This is a glorious, cold weather, alcohol laced vanilla scent, it is incredibly sensual! Slight detractor for me is that it dries down a little wood heavy, and it is not fantastic longevity wise. Definitely worth a sample though, the opening is just sublime!

Update on my previous review: I like this one, it has a beautiful opening, but ultimately I just found the dry down a bit too heavy on me. As a general recommendation, if you sample, give it a good while before you decide if this works for you.

Very heavy and oddly play-doughy to me. It's okay. It does remind me a little of Phlur vanilla skin with some additional booziness that comes off a bit synthetic. It's just okay. Not a love.
