Sekushi No. 7

I waited for this fragrance and didn't think I would get it (due to coronavirus) but after 4 months of waiting, I finally got it and probably one my most favorite scents I have in my collection! It is sooo sweet but not cheeky sweet and coying! the cotton candy smell you get is grounded and blended beautifully with the leather accords! what is so impressive about this scent is I feel it doesn't smack you in the face like other scents I own ( which I like to have) but this one is very subtle yet strong. it means business and the longevity is AMAZING! I work outdoors and I put this on around 7 am. I only placed this on my skin, I did not. spray this on my clothes because I wanted to see how it performs...12 hrs later it's still performing it just sits close to the skin but every time I move around I catch whiffs of the scent and its so soothing. For me personally, I feel this can be worn ALL year round! I scored getting a bottle of this for the price I paid for it....but based on my discovery on this I'm going to cherish and hold on to this as long as I can because I'm going to cry when I have to replace this and get a bigger bottle 😭. but 10's across the board for this!! I think I want to explore more from this house being that I went out on a limb buying this based on the reviews and notes listed and scored major on this one! if you are contemplating on this, please don't! This one is a MUST HAVE!

I own Sekushi for about 1.5 years now and it's really become one of my favorites. From a distance it's heady sweet raspberry and cotton candy. A little closer up the leather note is confident but clean. Smelling the skin directly I get plush musk and peach skin (or apricot, frankly to my nose that's all one scent family). I think it's also important to mention that the blend is not light and airy like your everyday designer fragrance but actually rather dense and syrupy. I love it on my skin. It's sweet but not 'girly', it's leather but beautifully feminine and sensual. To me it's a sweet fragrance for a grown woman. I don't need more than two spritzes, one on the neck and one shared between my lower arms, and it basically stays with me until I take bath. As somebody else already said, it lasts forever. Absolutely going to repurchase it if run out. Beautiful creation.

This is a rather unique scent and quite interesting part of my collection, although its description may sound simple - it definitely smells like the combination of high-quality leather and candy 🍭🍬🍡... Or a very smoke-like cotton candy... the sweet raspberry slightly covered in smoke. Like a Barbie in a leather jacket! 💃👄 Very intense and daring fragrance with great longevity and sillage. Interestingly, my boyfriend said that it smelled like leather seats in a new car combined with the smell of raspberry air freshener, but all the way he founded the scent incredibly attractive, mainly because of the "leather seats in a new car" element. :P

First things first - this is strong, like people are going to notice and recognize this one, the notes are all present, it's very warm, sweet but not like powdery, candy or floraly sweet more like oriental liquor or baklava and fruits kind of sweet, but it's not as heavy as other oriental scents, the fruitiness comes through enough to not make it too heavy. Also the leather coming through makes it different and not too sticky and unlike many other scents with lilly-of-the-valley the lilly is not taking all over in this one.

I bought this based on a sample I received of a perfume dupe (from Alexandria Perfumes). I adore these notes together. Yes it sounds like everything but the kitchen sink but it really works on my skin. Its fruity, sweet, inviting with an earthy patchouli undertone. The hint of leather works perfectly and the top note of raspberry is just yummy. Gorgeous bottle. This was a birthday present splurge for myself - 10 out of 10.

This to me is a feminine version of Tuscan leather and Layton Exclusif. The sweetness is reminiscent of cotton candy with a touch of fruity raspberry. The apricot gives off a smooth texture and comfort to the scent. This is contrasted with a dark undertone from leather without going animalic unlike the previously mentionned frags.

Supremely yummy; candied raspberry floss balanced with a velvety leather. Nice current of lightly spicy patchouli oil runs through, adds a little dimension to keep the scent from being too sweet. Perfect for cool weather, I'd wager spring through winter (but not summer). Projects loudly, has a lot of presence. Super long-lasting.

This fragrance is a gem. It is so damn expensive, but it lasts forever. The sweet cotton candy, raspberry notes complement the leather very well. Definitely happy with this buy. A little bit on the feminine side, but not too feminine.

Reviewing bottle from 2024.Sekushi No.7 was launched in 2015. Opens sweet with subtle fruits (?raspberry) and what seems like anise.This is enveloped in barely noticeable florals wrapped in musk and soft leather. The leather is like suede - it is not animalic at all.The sweetness fades but the fruity florals, patchouli and leather continue .The patchouli adds an earthy greeness to the leather/suede drydown. Quality is good with no offputting synthetic notes 3/5 Leans feminine at first but the drydown is unisex. Performance is very good 4/5 Overall, a lovely comforting hug of a fragrance but not boring. Interesting and successful juxtaposition of sweet dark fruit with leather and patchouli. 8/10

Well, this is really interesting, I don't love it to be honest, but I don't hate it either😁😂. It is sweet, but not cloying as the leather and the patchouli tone down the cotton candy note. For some reason, the olibanum is very proeminent on my skin and maybe this is why I don.t like it that much, it tends to go very earthy and green on me, however I get whiffs of the fruity notes as well which make it tolerable for me and balance out the fragrance. It is very interesting, not gonna lie, defo unisex and the longevity is really good. Must test it out for a few more days and see if I can get used to this resinous note, other than that it is a win for those who enjoy leather and sweet accords.

I was on the hunt before EID Al fiter for a 50% discount on ASQ safari extreme, was going to their boutiques around Abu Dhabi trying to find the perfume as stocks were limited 😅. Sekushi has a similar scent line but not exactly the same; sweet and woody. these are my first impressions, might update later.

SWEEEEEEEEET feminine perfume that is very very long lasting.

This is very different. And very much a 'like' for me, but closer to 'love' than 'ok'. I think the reason it works so well for me is that it is very sweet - the raspberry, apricot and cotton candy are right there in your face, but then the leather and more animalic notes cut through in a way that doesn't make any sense but makes all the sense in the world. As a guy, I actually like the smell of fruity-sweet feminine fragrances - like Delina - but they don't suit me as a man wearing them, but I am intrigued by how they smell. Sekushi No. 7 has the uncut sweetness and almost 'girlyness' of a feminine fragrance, but it is mixed with the 'grounded' and 'harder' notes of more masculine fragrances, and what you get is this perfectly yin/yang mix in the air that is alluring, addictive, playful and unisex. Below this has been excellently described as Harley Quinn, "cute but psycho" - and I think that's how it would come across on a woman. Playful but dangerous. On a guy, I'm not sure how to describe it, but men shouldn't be afraid to try this. It's a statement... Sekushi No. 7 feels like a petite woman with a larger than life personality (ie. Harley Quinn) but I think this would suit a larger man with a softer and more quiet personality. A gentle giant. An undeniable physical presence with the soul of an introvert.

Why do I not smell any raspberry at all in this? This seems like straight smoke and leather to me. Not cigarette smoke but like charred wood smoke but thick. I keep spraying this on me because why can't I love it like everyone else. I might keep trying it because ..it just confused me so bad. Almost makes my throat sore. I'll keep trying or pair it with something actually fruity

I got the Lengling discovery set as a present, we live in Munich so I was very curious about them. All their scents have good quality, not all to my taste, more hit or miss. But there are two which I found really inspiring - the Acqua Tempesta #3 (salty and smokey) and this one, Sekushi #7. Honestly, by the description I would never buy it blind. I normally don't like leather or sweet perfumes. But this one hit the nail. It is very warm, welcoming raspberry with sugar, smoke and very real leather. I don't know, I found it so cosy. It does not work "sexy seducing" for me, like the name implies. It is more the memories of childhood - summer evening in small village, bonfire in a garden and bucket full of berries. It obviously triggers my nostalgia, and it is a perfume analogue of a comfort food for me now! It lasts very long, I still smell in on the skin next day after the application. I find it unisex, maybe leaning a bit more feminine. But if you don't afraid to wear something sweet and sugary - try it on, it fits men very well too. I am going to buy an entire bottle (or will drop a hint to my husband). So, I definitely recommend to try this one. I understand, that it may be polarising (like the majority of the Lengling perfumes), but you may find something really special here.

So apparently there is a dupe for this called The Rose by Al Absar at £19.99 for 100ml. I have never smelled the Sekushi No. 7 Lengling, but those notes listed here and all the reviews seem like exactly what I'm smelling. YouTubers Fragrance Glance and Wendy Wise Beauty both discussed The Rose perfume. I like how one of them put it - 'It's like if you sprayed on yourself all of the patchouli perfumes from the '90/00s, and then went partying into clubs where people were still smoking inside. The next day you sniff your clothes - that's how this perfume smells - sweet patchouli, sweat and cigarette smoke.'' Yep! That is exactly the vibe I'm getting. It might sound bad, but I'm sure Tom Ford would appreciate it haha It's one of those weird but alluring scents.

Imagine a handful of sweet, burnt cotton candy enveloped around an expensive, luxurious velvety layer of leather fabric, taken and drenched in a syrup of fruits with a tinge of patchouli oil, and then treated with heady hypnotic fumes of burning olibanum-incense from a lamp. There's a persistent green nuance throughout. Elegance, controlled and subtle, such a joy, an air of happiness, while at the same time clearing your train of thoughts. An experience. Magical scent. 9/10

I was looking for Harley Quinn inspired perfumes and came across this sample I had. I think it's perfect. Someone mentioned she'd wear something "pink but smokey" and this is it! I get a lot of raspberry, cotton candy mixed with smokey leather. Cute but psycho! Sugar sweet mixed with bad ass. Very unusual mix. I was surprised at how long it lasted. This is a quality fragrance. That Olibanum and musk in the drydown clung to my skin forever.

Smokey leather & cotton candy with raspberry flavor. The raspberry adds a heavily cloying sweet effect that is too candied, and sometimes medicinal. leather, musk, and smokey. Thank GOD i can't detect any lilies, it would have been awful blending it in. After all, i have sniffed something similar to it before, and over all it is a raspberry smokey leather.

Smells like Byredo Black Saffron (dark rich fruity leather) with smoked cotton candy, so it’s sweeter and nicer in my opinion. Leather with cotton candy is a cute but still serious combination. I like how someone below said it’s like “Barbie in a leather jacket” and I agree; even cowgirl Barbie.

Blind bought this in TK Maxx. Got the 4 x 8ml set (weird set, why do I want 4 x 8ml of the same scent?), but I had high hopes for it being more leathery. It is a super saccharine, sickly sweet red berried girly scent, with little leather to my nose. Anyone wanna buy 4x8ml of Sekushi No2?

Major Mugler Angel vibes but with the fruits and cotton candy very much present in the forefront - it's all about those and patchouli. The leather is there if you look for it but I don't think it's a major player. If you like Angel you'll like this.
