Eau Fraiche de Leonard

I bought this one thank to alphairone's review in YouTube. It felt so curious: lemon! I don't know why it's green now and in a larger bottle, yellow would be more suitable. But the bottle is amazing, also that light green colour. I just don't want to open the cap with fingers directly, it is so big and shiny, it will keep and show all fingerprints. The scent itself is lemon plus something lightly sweet, maybe cardamom. It is a modest smell. I also combine this with other scents as an experiment. It has less character and courage than modern scents.

It is intensely fresh, I think one of the most fresh perfumes ever made with this top quality..

Another extremly fresh and sparkling scent , so trendy in the 70's / 80's , completely outdated now (unfortunately). It's also the typicaly "after shower after sport" scent , easy to wear , in a good way , it's not cheap and can be worn in many different occasions and by anyone. Has it been discontinued ???

I feel fruits and flowers from the bottle and it opens on my skin with sweet fruity roses, no citruses and lavender to my happiness. Nice elegant and feminine.

I agree with passionata20. Leonard smells too much like lemonade. I remember it to be very strong, lemony and sweet. Many years ago I took a trip around Turkey on my own. I travelled by bus as it was the most comfortable way getting around as the buses had AC. Still it was june and very hot and you had to get used to the feeling of you own sweat running along your spine. On the buses there were crewmen that provided us travellers with water. Before the major stops they also gave us a refreshing lemon cologne from large plastic bottles. We just cupped our hands together and got a large splash in them to pour on our necks, arms and in the hairline. It helped. A few years later I got Leonard in a swap (I swapped away Rose Cardin) but found out that Leonard reminded me so much of that cologne that I couldn't wear it as a perfume. Later when I had a purge, I gave it away to a charity shop. Of these kinds of refreshing colognes I prefer Muelhens 4711. I used to have a 13,5 oz bottle of that as well that I also gave away in a purge. A move I really regret today when I can differ the need of perfume from the need of a refreshing cologne.

I agree this is very 70s,fresh,green,clean and citrusy as it was fashionable those days I also agree it smells like lemonade,it also reminds me seven up,ofcourse less sweet and even more lemony I also agree it can be unisex but there were lots of similar perfumes marketed as feminine those days like eau de rochas or as we can see amonge lancomes and diors This scent reminds me the color of yellow and green,after half an hour I can get some lavender too,which adds a bit swetness and makes it even cleaner..there is a whisper of earthy/woodsy notes as it dries down which adds to masculinity of eau fraiche de leonard,but lemon is the star player in all stages This is definitely a summer day scent,not my type but is a good choice for very hot and humid summers and is wearable in modern days in case you like fresh,citrusy,lemony fragrances..longevity and sillage are moderate ..it's not very mature as some seventies fragrances and is sort of soprty ❤❤❤

Very very fresh scent with strong citrus accent. Almost scaring me away becuse smells like fizzy lemonade or just like freshly squeezed lemon juice. I guess too simple. Haven ́t tried it on a skin yet, only on paper, cause to me this is stricly a spring-summer scent, and where i live is about -15C at the moment. Now i have tried it on my skin and for the first 10-15 minutes is is like a fizzy lemon juice, very intense but then it becomes very green and very quiet. Lasts not for a long time. I wouldn ́t want to smell like that, not my type really. but it can be really nice and refreshing on a hot summer day. As far as i know it was actually a men ́s cologne at the beginning, and it is indeed quite unisex, even more masculine cologne than feminine fresh fragrance. This one is not discontinued and is featured on a Leonard ́s web-site and described as both male and female fragrance. Indeed it can be worn both by men and women.

I bought it at antique's market, just a few drops. The yellowish-brown box is so old, so I wonder, how it is still remain "life".After one year , the liquid dissapeared, as it was in a splash bottle, but the smell is still there: lemon and pine together.very 80th or even 70th, but it is so lovely.Remind me of a happy childhood or youth. I can not stop smelling the bottle, and the bottle is so nice done: they don't do that kind of thing anymore.I think, I posess real first version of this one,not the remake....I wish I had more, to use...

I know you can get it in Sao Paulo at Iguatemi Shopping Center (Perfumaria Phytá) but you can also try the site "www.leonard-paris.com", contact us, and ask where to get it in Rio, a company in brazil gives you locations there. In sp it costs R$ 166,00 - 90 ml and in Paris, 47 Euros. Goog Luck and enjoy this lovely fragrance.

Eau Fraiche de Leonard somehow reminds me of Sunshine Lemon Coolers cookies from back in the day, if they were infused with some lavender and some spices. Man, those cookies were the shizz. Anyhow, it is delightful to spritz throughout a muggy, summer's day and am happy to have it on hand for yet another heat wave.
